Happy Saint Patrick's Day. And remember...'tis no crime not to be Irish..,just a terrible, terrible shame. : D
Haaa! Jeff's mum was Irish so he's all over this
As he should be. Good for Jeff.
May I have stats, please, for the lower O? The one above the H?
oh4/5
Aaah, that tricky one I often miss. Thanks.
With all the one word tiles in this grid, there is a lot of instant gratification.
so close to gnocchi
26 to go. hagd all!
anyone know what the 7 letter clue is offhand?
li 40 It's a Latin plural Atl
ty
And of course, everyone is fluent in Latin. Not. : D

Good morning, CArla.
bea!
Did you get your kitchen finished?
still working on the window treatments
just got the fabric yesterday
Are you doing cornices?
yes. we have solar shades too. they don't match great now and some aren't working right so I also have a bunch of samples for new ones.
gee, this is a tough grid
The C's are proving to be problematic.
yeah, I found only 13 before moving on
still 39 after 1st pass. 4 tiles I did not get my halfway point on.
but middle col gray at least!
and middle row gray
well, this is slow going. I've had enuff for now. BBL for last 22.
is this worse then yesterday's?
idk but Vowels Vanquished!
congrats hurshy i am just starting
well i ONLY did vowels
there are 17 vowel words and 87 consonant
well, I still have 3 vowels left and 19 consonants
lol
good morning Hokie!

100% chance of rain here
found another word. I guess my mini-break helped a little
It's cloudy with a chance of corned beef and cabbage here.
Same here
well, I'm talking about tomorrow. not sure what today's forecast is but it's 46 and foggy right now.
1st pass done - bbl for last 25 - the C being the worst offender with 8 left - sunny and warming up here - have a great day all and stay safe
our fog has burnt off and our temps are about the same with rain
very, very cold here today
7 C's left here
what is very, very cold for you, ru?

MLF, you know Latin?

I do not have the 7 or even half the 6's
Hello everyone. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
hi car
hi car
thou
sorry
Oh, because the clue for the 7 mentioned Latin
ch 5/22, pls
somewhere someone said latin plural ending
ends with do, re, me, **h....
Starts like a house of worship, ends with the note after me
ty pen
yw...
the single o is oc or oh?
ty Molly, pen
yw...
Oh my bad, the note after mi. I always spell those wrong
i wasn't sure of the spelling...

Probably! I don't take no gu**!
laic
Sorry.
oh, I just stumbled onto the 7
Yeah, that's a weird one. Made me very....tongue-tied..*cough*
and thanks, car, did not have that even though I had a similar 5
Oh look Ru, someone got your tongue joke
well now that I have the word I get it too, but that did not help me at all to find it.
and interestingly, to6 is in the grid, so apparently that is today's theme
heading out....bbl to find my last 15....bye all....
bye pen! also 15 left.
Well if you knew Latin like MLF, you would have gotten it right away : D
I love Latin, but it took me forever!
sadly, I don't. only know un poco spanish, which as we know is derived from latin.
my mom took latin in high school, but that was long dead by the time I got to school.
My oldest, the brainiac, took Honors Latin and medalled in it.
what kind of medal?
never heard of getting medals for classes
LOL at my last upper L, a very regular, easy 4
Well his high school gave medals for top and second in the honors classes
ah, I see
11 left now, 7 of which are c's
ooh, there's a c6
phantom cahoots
made it to 8 now
still trying tech and techno
6! 1 L and 5 C

ok, now just 3 c's left. c's are the worst.

that must be my last 6.
well, it's not to look for deer together ;)
co + what Attilla was + vowel
wow, I was close
thx
ty molly..twas my last one
well done, suzeeq
TADA! as much as I complained about how hard this one is, I did manage to finish with only 2 (one an inadvertent 4) gotten from the chat. I think I made up probably 20 crazy c words though.
latin ending is what i saw in the chat earlier
I'm not counting that one because I didn't see anything in the chat that led to it.
hokie are you still here?
my computer did not sleep yet, so yes
lol sorry
I'm just working in this room so will be in and out, it's no biggie
hu 4/12 is it common?

list helps, got 3, all weird, just one left, co6/27
go, go hurshy!
I ended on a similar note so can probably make some guesses. nm.
the co6 is a palm tree we've had before but I still needed a clue.
well, i got it but don't remember having seen it before, guess it is not one that stuck in my brain
at least i can be proud that all 4 of my list words were abnormal and nothing i would have expected myself to get
co 6/27, pls

ty Vioxx
That clue looks familiar : D
ch
Hey, there is vodka in the grid on Saint Patrik's Day. What?
FW
Hi all. Clue for the seven please. Ty.
Also missing the A bottom row, and the o third row second column. Ty.
Good clue for co word
A bottom row is a relative
Got the a words. Ty anyway. Still need the time 7 please.
I'm missing that one as well...
FW! I'm getting better at this. Practice makes perfect, I suppose.
Ty for A word clues. Please can anyone clue the 7? Ty.
Did you get the LI6? The LI7 is similar.
Ty
Oops dont have an li 6six seater. Please clue it for me. Ty
similar to the LI6,27 I mean. There's another LI 6 that is 6, 18.
has to do with a noisy part of your body.
Noisy part? I guess the mouth is the noise maker
Cant think of an li word to do with mouth part.
Teeth, cheeks, roof, lips, hmmmm
keep going...
the part you lick lips with
Well to 6 is in the grid. Cant think of what else. The epiglotis and the ton***s.
That part is to 6. I am trying to get the li 6 and 7.
Li 6 and latin plural think licking organ in spanish or french
Is anyone clueing the li 6 or 7? I have the to 6 word.
we are clueing the li 6 and 7. It's a word related to the to6.
mkg, think of the word for the study of languages, which starts with li. Say that word out loud. That should help.
Got them. Ty.
cool
Fw!!
Happy Hump Day, Inter-pals!!
Ty ch. good clue. I got it.
Still need the o word for the o in third row across. Ty
Oh just got it. Ty anyway.

Byeee!
Heya Trifs!

Good morning and thanks for that ch 5
good morning!
Heya Liz!
boy, what a difference, to have lovely babblers here in the chog, vs the usual snark parade
Long time no see Tor - hope you're doing OK.
No trolls is always good too.
I am well. Hope you are too.
yes indeed.
All's good here down under - in QLD we've had it relatively easy so far.
i am just itching to start planting things outdoors, but alas, it is still too early. Reading seed catalogs over and over again will have to see me through
My hubby is the main gardener here - we love growing fruit and veg and we're also working on creating a new garden area in the front.
When's planting time Trif?
sounds like heaven! I am quite sure you have a much longer season too.
we are still weeks away from last frost. May 15th at the earliest
Yes but even after 12 years here, we're still trying to find out when is best for some things. We've had tomatoes all year this time - they've only just died off and we've new ones planted.
not sure how the new pet additions will work with the gardens either. they eat everything. and I mean EVERYTHING
Wow! How long is your spring / summer season.
Do you fence things off from them?
that sounds so nice, lizlin. i have been starting some stuff inside, at one week intervals, so everything doesnt grow all at once
Yes we also stagger things so that they last longer.
ummmm. everything in the garden is usually done by mid october. and yes, the goats are fenced in most of the time, though they do have some free roaming time each day. I am working on ways to soft fence them in to problems areas on the property, hoping they can eat down some of the briars and such.
I was talking (mostly listening) to customer in the upper midwest today when the talk turned to weather, and he said something about this time of year I had never heard: "A robin gets snowed on three times." They had had their first snow, and he predicted two more.
Do goats just eat non stop or if you provide them with an over abundant supply, will that stop them eating your veggies?
hmmm. not inaccurate, torgone!
no, they eat (and poop) non stop
I've never heard that Tor - 2 more snowfalls doesn't sound great to me though. I don't miss snow.
they are generally quite lovely, and so amusing. quite like toddlers
Right - a bit like the cockatoos! Not really comparing goats to cockatoos - except in eating habits!
I have no love for snow. That's why I moved here.
Which part of the USA - if you don't mind me asking.
it's always exciting the first time it snows each year. and then by april we are all despondent
I used to love snow when it first fell. It was really pretty - not if I was driving though, but it turned icy and slushy so quickly.
it does that, for sure
San Diego, California
I have never been to san diego. I really would love to visit someday
I was there once - in the 70s! I loved the zoo. It was so much more open than any other I'd seen and we had the most amazing chocolate souffle at some restaurant we went to. I can still taste it - well I wish I could, anyway!
Fireworks! Can I offer any clues?
huzzah for lizlin!
Yay Liz!
Thanks.
