4:43 am

Well, I'm all vaxxed up now, got my second shot yesterday.

Yay! I had my second on 1st June but I'm still taking at least some precautions (even though everything's opened up here in the UK)

4:49 am

I will be too.

4:50 am

So far my only side effects are a very mild headache and a sore arm.

I had almost no side effects with my second (sore arm was all) - a little ropey after my first though. Which one did you have?

4:52 am

Well, I had Pfizer to start and Moderna was my second.

(Also, would anyone give me a clue for the ON6, please)

Oooh - you're mixing vaccines! I had AZ for both

4:52 am

It's okay to mix those two, they are virtually identical.

Yep, mRNA vaccines

4:54 am

It was good to get out again. I haven't been out that much. I got it done at a pharmacy that is in my local supermarket. I hadn't been in there for 1 1/2 years. I had a chance to go to the bank :)

Excellent - baby steps!

4:57 am

My gym is still not open, but they are getting closer.

4:58 am

Anyway, have to run, the reboot will be happening soon.

Have a great day

May I please have a nudge on the on6, anyone?

5:08 am

Hiiiii

5:23 am

On + a misspelling of to both see something the same way

5:33 am

Tx Molly

5:36 am

Another day, more weird words : D

Thanks - I did manage to monkey it just before you clued it. Another odd word

5:38 am

That just stuns me about this game. People are so stuck that they ask for a clue and then they miraculously "monkey" it just before the clue is given.

I know. It wasn't quite JUST before, but there you go. It's probably people (including me) asking for clues too soon

And also that we don't stop looking ourselves (or at least I don't) even once the clue has been requested

5:46 am

Yum. Just found a delicious fruit infused Spanish beverage. Salut

6:00 am

Hey Soodle! Haven't had that beverage in a while :-)

6:02 am

Hey Une :-) I don't think I'll be sampling it in Spain for a long time. Even though foreign travel has opened up here, I'd be nervous of another lockdown happening whilst I was away from home. Damn you, Covid.

Mornin - some fun words in this grid

Spanish beverage awaiting chat sinners in the PB

6:33 am

we had a tv series-before swearing was accepted- and main character described people he didnt like as evil little scroats-love that word!!

Though it's only JUST not swearing (being short for scrotum) :)

6:37 am

loved Porridge Matty its stood the test of time

Mmm...my ex loved it but I didn't grow up with it so I think some of the humour passed me by. But I'm not a huge sitcom fan full stop

I don't even know that word 🤣

May I have a tiny nudge for the ga6, please?

kinda like the guy from beauty and the beast

7:13 am

Tangrams were puzzle pieces used in math.

or fake petrol

guess scam petrol makes more sense

Aaah - thanks! Loved your clue, Carla (and yours, Bea)

All done. Have a lovely day, all

well done, matty.

Congrats Matty!

8:19 am

No connection in my brain with Skywalker and ya7

Yeah, I was waiting for clarification as well

8:26 am

that would be a yo4 wouldnt it. though not in the grid?

OK, Star War-ians out there - what's the connection to the YA word? (s)

8:33 am

no idea. turkish sword reminded me of indiana jones.

8:33 am

I think that one of the spaceships was called by that name?

well once I look the word up I'll let y'all know

8:35 am

the star wars spaceship begins with f

There are lots of starwars spaceships.

a break down clue would be good -- good morning everyone

8:40 am

ty bzz

8:40 am

I did Google Anakin Skywalker and ya7 - nothinbg

they aren't related, just similar breakdowns in syllables. I think.

8:41 am

Lots of links to Deviant Art though

we are all very CH 6/30 today :)

8:42 am

that is a good thing italian

nan is asking for a clue yet again

8:42 am

so?

8:42 am

Oh, a breakdown in syllables? So if I say "reminded me of sweater" I should expect you all to get it? : D

so, that was my clue for nan

8:43 am

sorry --- back llater

8:43 am

exactly italian we need something to help us finish this grid lol

8:44 am

which is it molly? are clues too simple? not creative enough? or bad because you didn't get it.

8:44 am

If Nan got the word from that clue I would have fainted. If anyone had got it from that clue I would have fainted.

you want clever clues, mine is very subtle and clever

8:44 am

governess i think it depends on too many factors sometimes simple isnt always the best

8:44 am

Jeeze. I wasn't even talking about a clue. Chill out.

8:45 am

agreed molly

8:45 am

governess, I think we all get a little weary of nan asking for break down clues because she refuses to use google.

my clue was a clue for nan, not a dig. I could have said MLFAN is asking for a clue yet again.

8:46 am

a little kindness never hurt to give.

8:46 am

For the record, Carla was not being snippy. She was giving a clue for ya7

8:46 am

true

8:47 am

That kindness goes both ways.

8:47 am

Indeed Bea

8:48 am

Who was wronged?

8:49 am

nan left. whether intentional or not, i can see why.

8:49 am

What does that have to do with me? I said nothing to Nan

8:49 am

she only does the 7s and 8s i think and then she leaves unless she ties to get a word from each tile too?

8:49 am

And neither did Carla. She was giving a clue for a word.

8:50 am

Gotta go, feel free to discuss.

8:50 am

no need to defend yourselves.

8:50 am

i think she took offense to her asking for a clue again but that was the clue is that right?

8:50 am

If you look at the ya7 you can see why Carla did the yet again clue. This all feels so very familiar.

8:51 am

i have had clues that sounded like they were at me instead of for me .. does that make sense?

I just want to know why I can't find any A's from the 3rd and 4th col.

ooh, there's one

FTR, I think nan just left to do something

8:53 am

have ag's and an's and ne as

8:53 am

and LOL, still no sign of welki!

Yes! She planted the seed and just watching

8:56 am

I know. This is like who did it and ran.

8:57 am

hokie assuming you dont want any stats for the a words i have right?

that's okay, mlfan, still working on 2nd run through

8:58 am

8:59 am

9:00 am

Wonderful that you got to see them, nan.

well done, bea

need 4 T's from the far right. I'm guessing those are big words.

9:03 am

read the chat --- got the ya clue ty carla(although it did seem to be a bit of a dig) - also apologize to bea as I didn't realize I was being such a nuisance asking for clues, and mlf I do finish just about every grid.

hey, I said it was subtle

9:04 am

and no -- I don't like to look stuff up if there is a clue I can solve

but it wasn't a dig, I promise, just used your name since you asked for the clue

why am I trying EX words when I have the E finished?

9:06 am

can't help you there, carla -- just have 2 of them

9:08 am

3 now -- 2 4's and a 5

well, there are 2 EX words FYI, I just already had them

9:21 am

these grids seem to me to be getting more difficult all the time. It's either that or I am losing some of my mental acuity, which I suppose happens to all of us at some point, but I'm not ready for it yet!

I think we've had a run of tough ones, so don't give up on your mental state just yet. unless of course I am already losing some of my mental acuity.

also not ready for it

maybe we need an easy name that proper noun - one of the early video game consoles, very popular in the 80s

9:24 am

ok, gramdlods is now making me worry about you 🤣

hurshy, my reply to you was a subtle hint

9:49 am

yes they were

put it together with nan's "once more"

9:49 am

hokie i assume i am missing a ta word?

9:51 am

ok thanks

MLFAN, I don't know. my last was tr5 like the T in LGBQT. there is a TA5 that's kinda like a starchy veggie with a different vowel

9:52 am

yeah but i forgot about the other ta words from 4th and 5th columns lol np hokie:)

when we were in San Fran, our GPS kept saying "Golden Gate Bradge" which I thought was the oddest accent for a robot voice. the YA word makes me think of that.

yeah, that TA5 I just mentioned is not even from that T. LOL

there are 5 TA and 1 TR from upper T

9:54 am

so then what is the last one i am missing i need 6 words total..its not the ta8?

9:55 am

no, i told you they are all 4s and 5s from there

the TA8 has to be from far right. I still need 3 there. I knew it was going to be big words,

10:14 am
