I would freeze them for sauce too. But I peel them first.
i never heard of just popping them into the freezer but i don't have room for them.

Yes, they are much easier to peel that way. So are sweet potatoes. \
sweet potatoes are the worst to peel. thanks i will try that. only time for peeling is thanksgiving and lots of them.
otherwise i just bake them.
It is great. They just slip right out of the skin. Make sure they have cooled enough to handle though
and all that time wasted peeling first... i peeked and then steamed them to prepare for candying them

I've never met him in person, but I would love to some day. I remember him mentioning you when he was talking about his vacation in Canada.
He is an amazing cook and when Jillibus was still alive she hosted a Babble Meet Up where he came an prepared one of the best meals I have ever had. Good food, good friends and a beautiful location all made it memorable.

100% correct ch. since I joined Babble, I’ve had the real pleasure of meeting three Babblers in the flesh (so to speak). Riverdance, Bugsaw and Trifioso. Each meet-up was delightful. The Babblers I met were every bit as nice, if not nicer, than their Babble personas. I treasure the memories of meeting these lovely people, whom in the normal course of my life I never would have had that pleasure. Thank you Babble, Dr God & all who facilitated these meet-ups

It is indeed. We have the family tree verified back to 1630, but before that it branches into one of two possibilities. Our family genealogist went to Meath and personally looked at old records. :) When we arrive, I just want to give you a hug and visit and talk all things babble. :)
