good morning all.help with R on the right and the R on the bottom row please
the R on the right is 2 r4s
definitely not starting out great here
bottom r is re 6, what you do when you finish working forever
yeah, I thought surely peri had found it in 30+ min since she usually sees it right after asking 😜
ci 8/45, pls
Mexican herb
ty Bea
yw
yummmm, my favorite
my least favorite
it's very polarizing due to genetics
I love it so much I want to put it in everything
Cannot eat licorice either
I don't like licorice
well, 60 left after 1st pass, nowhere near HOET. I might come back later. TTFN.
That herb is extremely overpowering. Whenever I chop it, my hands smell like it for hours, even after scrubbing them. I only use it for fresh salsa.
I can't imagine putting it in everything, that sounds gross to me.
Next time after you are done weashing your hands, rub your hands on the stainless steel faucet. Helps to take away the smell.
I love those "weird, but they work" tips. Thanks.
thanks for the tip Bea, not too sure if it will improve my liking for the stuff or not!
Works with onion smell as well.
<---thinks bea just likes rubbing her faucet
Ru, the flippers were chatting about you earlier.
what?
oh .. well... it' wasn't my first word.. but close :D
How er6 was probably your first word and waiting for a comment from you about a word that means itching and swelling
hey I'm not dead yet :D
The "bookish" women like the naughty boys 😊
oriolian: a baltimore native
NTPN: Wooster or House
Laurie!
i love him
ding ding hurshy!
i feel that we need him to play Scrooge in a most definitive version of Christmas Carol
hah
every year that is the version i want to watch, but it doesn't exist yet
he's very versatile.
Oh, a modern version of A Christmas Carol, that would be outstanding
speaking of Dickens... NTPN! "Little" titular character
Dorrit
ding ding ding!!!
got a cup of coffee in hopes of seeing some words in this farshlugginer grid.
wow, great word harry
Don't get all verklempt Harry
it's a mad magazine word.
phantom: neurotic
... it gets 220 points in the grid
The world was a better place with Mad Magazine in it.

... oops ... back to the gird
that top C has got me mystified. Are they normal words?
nm!
i got two of them, not sure what else to try
got the clouds.
I'm getting "this video unavailable"
there's also ci5 little hair-like things in places in your body
I have two Cs from the top
tinyurl.com/8wjjw9jy
never mind I have three haha
ah ty hursh - I'd tried that with a C at the end, but that's spelled with an E apparently
oh found another one, a ci6/21
I keep trying the acid that is definitely not in the grid
ci8/45
does it build on one of the others, molly?
Not really
no, it's an herb :)
oh lol
Well that should give it away
yes
my first 8!
mine too
extremely twisty herb.
that sounds like something a stoner would say.
"that's some exceedingly twisty herb, dude"
phantom: oilier
I'm done with this grid for awhile. 70 to go. hagd all

good morning all :)
morning nan
bit of a hard grid today, no S
morning hursh, nan...any other people out there :)
only 166 remaining
just have 2 c's -- the babblet ci 5 and the herb
well, half way...but slow
very slow
and I haven't found any 7s or 8s yet, so that's a bit concerning
HOET
one of the 8's was just clued - have them all if you waqnt the stats, just 2 x 7 though
that's okay, not looking for clues yet
howdy
no HOET here, not even NBT
this is the worst grid I remember in a while.
hey hoke
yeah i don't have the bottom R
found a 7
60 to go
bottom R is easy
I don't have right E and only have one U
Predicts Hurshy will kick herself over the bottom R
59 left here
17-12-18-7-3
13-20-17-7-2
aha, got it
right E has the girl's name that counts
did you kick yourself?
but it's such a lovely word :)
well no because i at least got it without a clue :)
my clue was it's easy
think pee, as usual, for U words
right well i don't think of "it's easy" as a clue
ah, another 7
just a warning that you don't want a clue
i just have one 7 and one 8
two 7s and no 8s so far :)
droolant - the substance babies use to keep cool
There is an odd 7, in7.28
have a 9 am meeting, so need to get going - bbl
that's the one i HAVE
lol
oh, I also only have one upper O. but I'm about to run out. 56 left. TTFN and good luck.
i'm used to seeing it in church bulletins
I have ca7
ty carla!
and the droolant actually made me LOL
hehe
I have all but 14 C's
I need 15 C's...2 off the top, 13 off the massive monster in the middle
i only need 5 C, which is also how many L and T i need
12 years of Catholic schooling and never seen the in7 in a church bulletin
need 10 L and 8 T (2 and 6 respectively)
found a t
ah, found an 8
well, they do have in7s in Catholic churches, but maybe they just don't bother listing them in the builletin
Catholic church bulletins are for news and prayer requests, not parts of the service
ah, protestant ones usually have both an order of service and those other things also
retorical - to ask a question about donuts that requires no answer
lol
well, seem to be whittling those 6s down
13-10-9-6-2
Any one remember the game, Co6.21?
yes
not the co6s I have
they got them in the trenches...
Ha! Took me a minute, but yes, remember it.
well, if nobody else minds, i'd love to know what the other 8s are
only one I have is an l
I have lo8 and the ci8. Still missing one.
ok, i shall seek it
ur8
interesting, ok
Not a church bulletin word
seems unlikely, yeah
It's not even a pee word.
morewords to the rescue on that one!
now back to seeking the L

hello jmc!
My mother didn't like that poem because she was born on a Wednesday 😥
bye harry; hello TO
me too, today is my birthday and it has come back around to being the same day of the week i was born
my sister loved it because she was born on a Tuesday
I was born on a Saturday
wednesday is literally the ONLY bad one
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HURSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ty :)
Not sure "works for a living" is great. I want a sugardaddy
well, it may not be great, but at least it is complimentary to say that someone is hard-working
full of woe, there's no good way to spin that
full of woe means you are empathetic. ..
Not exactly
i don't think it means that, but nice try, lol
nothing in works for a living to prove I am hard working!
Happy Birthday hurshy :-)
i thought it said "works hard for a living"
You could say being full of woe is better than being full of shit ðŸ˜
thank you biltong
I hear that as the job is hard .. . .
Happy Birthday, hursh
ty
Happy birthday Hursh!!
Cake and ice cream in the PB. And perhaps a game of Pin the Tail on the Enable Word List Maker
42 c words!
whoohoo and i didn't even spill the words!
What kind of cake? Is there vanilla ice cream?
ty une
crazy cake, which is a chocolate cake
it is called crazy cake because it has no eggs, no butter... it's a depression-era recipe i believe
I'll pass on cake make with no eggs and vinegar
it's really quite good and moist
And no butter? Horrors
my mom has made it ever since i was a kid
you truly would not notice any difference from any other chocolate cake
crazy cake is great. truly a miracle. especially with vanilla ice cream
I have had it. My niece makes it and it is woooooonderful
it's not some new vegan hippie thing. apologies to any babbling vegan hippies. ;)
I’ve made it, it’s really lovely.
surprisingly rich
only a hippie, not vegan
it's moist and chocolaty
it is vegan, except i usually put on icing which is made with milk, so then it isn't anymore
hahahahaq
but it's only incidentally vegan
I have made both crazy cake and Mayonaise cake and they are both good but I liked crazy cake better, now I am gluten free though so those days are past
Yeah, well there are people who say fried okra is good, so everything is relative
i usually put on powdered sugar.
that wasn't the point, the point was to have cake when you couldn't get eggs and butter
ew, i hate okra
and so it is better for you. i use cider vinegar in mine. and you can have cake quickly using staples. with eggs so high
it is better for you except i tend to eat a giant piece lol
I love fried okra and most people who come to my bbq saying they hate okra walk away not hating it. . . and some even like it.
i made the cake for my vegan friends at the philly folk fest. they love it. cannot believe it's vegan
depends on who makes it
you make very, very good fried okra, and i always enjoy it, jmc
i bet nobody can guess what song i woke up with in my head today
*curtsy* ta DC
Everybody Wang Chung Tonight
"Today is my birthday. It's your birthday too"
just found a ca6.24 i didn’t expect to work.
nope
it's about as un-birthdayish as a song can get
ooh thanks for that ear worm
My Name Is Luca
well i give up trying to get all the c words. better move along.
nope
susanne vega!
i will give you a hint: it is a song from a famous musical
MacCarthur Park
"A very unbirthday to you"?
nope
jimmy web or richard harris?
"Born free"
Well I'm out because that probably means it is something from Les MIserables
hair. walking in space. let the sunshine in
nope
on no, that wasn't a musical.
ooh molly is on the right track!
Who will buy this wonderful morning?
it was Javert's Suicide
ugh!
it's a great song! lol
i wonder what would have happened if he could have encountered the bishop at that moment though
One Day More?
i wonder if the bishop could have gotten through to him
One Day More is also a great song
never saw Les Miserables either
It’s fun, the i like the original French version better.
though i like…
French would be lost on me
I can see JMC and I watching the French version with blank looks on our faces. Then cutting out for drinks at the bar across the street.
who would buy = oliver!
well i believe the musical was originally in english, and then translated into french, the opposite of the novel itself!
love les miz, cried from first note to last
me too, shirl! i've seen it twice live. in London and San Francisco
And the title Oliver! really includes the !. Why I don't know.
3 times, once in Toronto, twice in NY
I would sneak in a flask Moools
oooops Molls
You people are high rollers if you can afford theater tickets multiple times.
I saw Oliver at my son's Junior High.
well, the first time, it was paid for by someone else
mea culpa Oliver!
I used to get free tickets (box seats) to The Kennedy Center from an old boss. Those were the days.
i last saw NSO Declassified with Ben Folds at the Kenendy Center. This is my year of live music.
sweet Molls.
i treat myself every year for my bday. I did Music Man with Hugh Jackman and sutton foster, it took 3 years but finally saw it
this year will be hadestown
enjoy, shirl!
Some shows should have been left in the original form. Robert Preston WAS The Music Man. Yul Brenner WAS The King of Siam.
Never even heard of Hadestown
i agree in general Molls, but RP is RIP and so is YB so, what can you do
Watch the movies
I liked Robert Preston better in Victor Victoria!
Plus I don't like the "updated" versions of original shows because they always feel the need to change the book
Shirlock....lucky you!!
Love Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster!
May I have a clue for or7, please?
sorry bilt
it is a type of bunting (bird)
ty, jmc :-)
ty, dcs :-)
oriole
oops, sorry
it's not an oriole. clue pls, for what it is

There is no or8
Well, thanks, Molly!
wouldn't mind a clue for the first or 6 though
Starts with killer whale, ends with not out, put a vowel in between those two
Sorry, killer whale minus the last letter

Of course? Like that is a common word? 🙄
thanks molly
rehi, y'all

The other one ends in grain that comes with Chinese food

I think I'll look for 12 more minutes and then quit
seems reasonable
Do you have the Tinman' s prop
not an enjoyable grid like yesterday
of course not, thanks. I always miss that.
agreed, moo. this is the worst.
I can't believe Molly just helped me say this:
HOET!!!

some interesting words and some of them are new to me for sure
finally got past half way mark
tinman's prop?
peri, i thought the same thing, and even looked it up. He carried a wrench and an axe, but he also had the container carrying grease.
just figured it out thanks
I have lo8 and ur8 help with other 8 please
hello all
its ci 8 peri
and thanks for the lo 8 that was my last 8
phew. done with this stinky grid. was a grind even with the list.
if anybody would like any help, give a shout.
hagd then!
congrats harry
Clue for ci8 please?
An herb
Saw that earlier.....not familiar :-(
Yes you are. It's common in Mexican food, and many other dishes.
lots of turns in the grid if that helps for the ci 8
Known as coriander here in the UK (the leafy bit)
Got it! Tx!!
Really? I never knew that mattty!
I just realized that the other day watching a video on You Tube
also some people like it and others think it tastes like soap
My mom, whose parents were born in Mexico, HATES it.
found the ci8 thanks. just had some in a panini
I have ec and eu from the bottom. help with the third one please
hello again
there is eu 7....ends with a ritual, like baptism....
ty new word for me
me, too...
How coriander tastes is apparently at least partly genetic - I love it.
This was a horrible grid. I eventually got fireworks, thanks to generous cluers & Morewords
congrats....
Thanks Pen. Happy to give my notoriously bad clues if required.
oh, i am just moseying along right now....but thanks anyway....
Enjoy!! 11.10 pm here. I’m away to bed. G’night all.
goodnight....
Hi all - anyone still here? Finally got back for the last 9
yes...
just listed....down to 7 here...
well done -- listed earlier in the day
well i listed at 20....still had fours left but couldn't see them....
do you have the first ci 5/12? - it comes from the top c
yes...ends in two vowels...
oops - should look closer - have that it is the 2nd one that I need
also ends in a vowel...
i think it's a plural of a kind of cloud...
got it ty -- wasn't going far enough to the right
yw..
I hate it when I go all around the dial with available letters and no word comes up
me, too!....do you have tr 7?...
no = just a couple of tr 6
ti
i am missing three OR words and that TR 7...
i need the in 6

mmm I have an in 7 that meets that def
spud?
sorry....wrong word for the in 6....that either ends in a type of law or lawsuit...or if it's the other in 6 it ends in the card beating the king...
it was the former, ty
no, not slang...an alternative like in a restaurant..."do you want fries or ****?....but change the last vowel...
do you have the OR words?
found one OR word...
or 6 first one is a babblet: tolkien's monster + vowel + not out
2nd or 6 = or + oriental grain
ty....had the grain one...
or 7 = or + not from + most of what your house sits on
just missing the 7 now...
hmmm...let me think...
do you have the lo 6-7?
got the O....just missing the T word...
nm - found them
didn't i just clue the lo 6/7?
just that tr 7 now
yup...
oh yes -- read that as io!
looked up the tr word....ends with all of what your house sits on....
i am done...
new one for me - ty
dictionary.com thinks that this is the name of someone....
for me, too....yw...
an american psychologist - how is that not a proper noun?
also done - hope the next grid is friendlier.
no idea....psychology was my line of work and I don't recall the name...
congrats...
It's a unit of measurement named after him, so loses its proper nounitude.
i guess the word is used in vision science...
