Hi, all. I'm too entertained by the chat to get started! Re: Barney Miller: as a bassist of course I love that opening theme! My brother met the bassist who brought his instrument in for work where my brother is a luthier.
That, and Hal linden and Bernie Kassel are in a two-man play off BWay thru October. I'm thinking of getting on the train to see this show and visit friends. Hal Linden in particular is getting rave reviews.
My brother and I would try and play it on our laundry line!

Reading your bio. Yay for battling math phobia. My semi retirement job is substitute teaching at my local middle school. I love teaching math, esp when the lightbulb goes on and a kid gets it, and knows they got it.

Ah, you brought back a memory. I played in a pit orchestra. We used to challenge the cello section to play TV themes during breaks in rehearsal. They did a zippy Captain Kangaroo theme. They cracked us up with the theme from "My Three Sons" because they tapped their feet as they played it, just like in the opening credits.
How fun!
And now I'm going to take the evening walk I had put off. Fun chatting! Ciao for now!
