where do you Brits get off, with your Rs before Es :)
It's the French influence. They always have their rs before their es and the English language has incorporated a lot of French words and spelling.
There are a lot of French words in which R comes before E
I mean E before R
I wonder what prompted us Yanks to change from RE to ER
