Hi aslindy. How are you and Lavender healing?
hi scrabs! I am able to wear most of my actual shoes, but need to work up to being on my feet as much as I'd like to be. Lavender is doing better since that SQ stitch was (mostly) removed, plus I upped the frequency of the pain meds to be sure she is comfortable. She's able to walk more every day.
How is your shoulder?
My shoulder feels about 80% recovered, I just need to work on strengthening.

But I cannot start those exercises for another 3 weeks, following protocol.

Yes, so I am following orders from my physical therapist.
I have to keep Lavender on leash so she doesn't start running in the yard yet. She wants to, but she's not ready.

I wondered. Most of my patients do not wear a brace after ACL repair, but football players often do.

it's much more common to happen in small dogs. Lavender has very straight hind legs, so it's not surprising she has had problems.
