12:22 am

hot dang!

12:22 am

its compound

12:22 am

is it too much to ask for a grid without c's

12:24 am

conceptually complex. can't claim certain success.

12:26 am

is 7/8....think weather map

12:28 am

huh. I think I prefer the Cs to those biggies!

12:28 am

hmm, I can't pick a least favorite between those

12:29 am

it's definitely the et8/9 for me.

12:30 am

I don't even look for the called ones. if things pop out at me on first pass, great, otherwise I will look tomorrow.

12:31 am

oh, this one will pop out cuz you've probably used it 50 times in the last few days!!!!!!!

12:31 am

(you have not)

12:31 am

haha

12:32 am

have to say so far this grid reminds me of the last 2, which I hated.

12:33 am

I am finding this a little friendlier so far

12:33 am

yes, a smidge

12:37 am

Since when is chai not a normal word?

12:37 am

7:43 am

Hi peri

7:44 am

Hi Scrabbs, hello all

7:48 am

Scrabbler . Interesting to read all of the babblers travelling and where they are..and their experiences, one learns much of their hobbies and adventures.

7:49 am

Yes, we have an interesting group here from all over the world. People arrange Babble meet-ups too. I have met several Babblers.

7:49 am

Scrabbler. oh how lovely.

7:50 am

yay Jaco!

7:51 am

Sunrise, I am reading a book now and one setting is Folkestone, England.

7:51 am

Hi godthaab

7:52 am

Tell us about it Scrabs

7:52 am

The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. My favorite genre = historical fiction. This takes place in WWI and 1947.

7:56 am

Scabbler. In years gone by a most import sea port and the old part is historic with cobbled streets and some Georgian buildings in both world wars the area was bombed.

7:57 am

The book is about female spies in WW1 and they were stationed in Folkestone before going to France.

7:58 am

Brave women in all wars. with little recognition.

7:59 am

This book has been educational.

8:00 am

leaving now, have chores to do.have a good / evening everyone.

8:04 am

Bye

8:12 am

Hi

8:12 am

Hi Scrabbler!

8:14 am

hello all

8:15 am

Hi aslindy

8:15 am

how's it going?

8:15 am

I passed halfway and need to go now. Enjoy the day.

8:16 am

you too!

8:38 am

much easier grid today

8:48 am

the a's were easier today

9:26 am

My usual modus operandi: go through each tile lefto to right, top to bottom, and get as many as possible, with a goal of getting at least 50% each tile. Then with what's left, go to Lickety's clues. Today, however, I'm finding when I go through the clues that I've missed a TON of really easy ones!!! I need a vacation.

9:37 am

just to be different, I start in the bottom right corner, working up and down right to left. I don't really have a goal other than to get as many words as I can. then I use the list, starting at the bottom and working my way up.

9:40 am

I hop up and down on one foot, spin around three times and then try to find all the words backward.

9:40 am

ooo, a new challenge! lol

9:46 am

clue for ta5,20 please?

9:46 am

Wow, Molly! That's exactly what I do.

9:46 am

ta5.20 uses the 6 point tile in the middle

9:48 am

If it works for Molly, I'll try that too!

9:48 am

is it a weird word? I am not seeing it

9:48 am

yes it is weird

9:48 am

ends in plural

9:49 am

it's plural so that's 4 of 5 letters

9:49 am

got it, thanks

9:49 am

yw

9:50 am

Any word with that letter in the middle is weird to me.

9:51 am

of course it is indian

9:56 am

Yes, and a corruption of the Persian word for 'the chosen one' -- mumtaz.

9:57 am

last word was se6.33.

9:57 am

see you all next time

10:11 am

Another word with the high pointer in the middle.

10:21 am

oh no, are there iso- words?

10:22 am

two of them hurshy

10:22 am

gah

10:22 am

the only one i ever remember is isohel

10:23 am

an earlier clue was that they are weather-related, a 7 and 8

10:23 am

i mean other than something normal like isolate

10:23 am

weather, eh? hmm

10:24 am

not words I'd ever heard before

10:24 am

aHA, monkeyed 'em! thanks!

10:25 am

new to me also

10:25 am

I was thinking they had to be weather-related. Got some monkeying to do.

10:25 am

Oh....and got 'em! That was an easy monkey!

10:26 am

you were thinking they had to be weather-related? that's... i don't know what that is

10:26 am

impressive in some way

10:27 am

weather charts etc

10:30 am

2nd row grey!

10:34 am

wow, i totally just made up the 9 and it worked

10:38 am

ha, ended with a sneeze

10:42 am

A sneeze?

10:43 am

her last word was the sneeze

10:44 am

Oh, I thought she meant the 9 ended with a sneeze. It reads that way since the comment was right after yours and she didn't say "I" ended with a sneeze

10:45 am

I'm really stumped on the da6. (I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm stumped on the big "J" ones too, but the da6 is really bothering me!) I have a feeling I'm missing something obvious there. Any clues?

3:34 pm

it's weird word.

3:34 pm

The big j ones, you don't know the nickname for Marines?

3:34 pm

it's a type of holly tree

3:35 pm
