The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. My favorite genre = historical fiction. This takes place in WWI and 1947.
Scabbler. In years gone by a most import sea port and the old part is historic with cobbled streets and some Georgian buildings in both world wars the area was bombed.
The book is about female spies in WW1 and they were stationed in Folkestone before going to France.
Brave women in all wars. with little recognition.
This book has been educational.

much easier grid today

My usual modus operandi: go through each tile lefto to right, top to bottom, and get as many as possible, with a goal of getting at least 50% each tile. Then with what's left, go to Lickety's clues. Today, however, I'm finding when I go through the clues that I've missed a TON of really easy ones!!! I need a vacation.
just to be different, I start in the bottom right corner, working up and down right to left. I don't really have a goal other than to get as many words as I can. then I use the list, starting at the bottom and working my way up.
I hop up and down on one foot, spin around three times and then try to find all the words backward.
