hello all
Hi aslindy
Morning
how is everyone today?
It's 55 outside and I am freezing. I put on a fleece. I'll be ok.
good, enjoying the cooler weather...from inside :)
it is 58 outside, but plenty warm in our house. I did not open windows yesterday because it's hazy from wildfire smoke.
my husband is still recovering from bronchitis, so he doesn't really need that much smoke
It was a bit hazy here yesterday too, probably for the same reason
likely so
ok, halfway. Time for a break.
75 left. I am done. ENjoy the day.
it won't take lithops? da4!
We'll have to take your word for that rasta
'morning, everyone (and i love lithops!)
What's a lithops
A very strange little plant, they get called "living stones"
you mean like mick jagger and keith richards?
yes, they can stay potted in the same place for 20+ years
certainly keith has been potted for a long time
amazing little plants!
morning everyone
hi saan
hi saan
hey there welki, what are you up to today
lazy morning and then golf around noon
mmmm sounds perfect, have fun, hope you hole in one
for sure, it'll be fun - about the hole in one, not a chance. maybe hole in eight :D
I just read this long article about these 2 young ladies who joined their college team when they needed people and shot like 470+ combined in their first round. Will post a link.
470?!
my bad, it was 434. but here goes. https://tinyurl.com/ufkekyy4
they had to keep playing so their school wouldn't lose the team and the conf wouldn't lose their golf standing
(reading the article)

phantom phantom
article was hilarious, brave women! Thanks welki
I mean carla!
no prob, you're welcome!
that was hilarious - and strangely familiar
lol
I've only played a few times with mr. homie and I always just picked up if he was finished and I already did 7 or 8 shots. but I can't imagine getting 20+ on multiple holes. I wasn't that bad.
ladies here in our new hood ask if I play and I always say "I have clubs"
i'm getting better, will never be great, but have fun (for the most part). i posted the article on fb - those girls are heroines :D
morning.
mr. homie would tell me I should just take a lesson, but I just don't care that much, just wanted to get out and have fun.
hey TO
carla, are you settling into your new community
i took lessons in my 40s, ten of them. the poor kid that was my pro came up to me at the end and apologized for not doing better, but said that my chest will forever keep me from hitting a decent ball
lmao...poor kid
so i put the clubs away for nearly twenty years and just started up again a few years ago
haha
I reckon so, bea. everyone's still 10-30 years older than us.
oh he was precious - blushing and stammering, 'i don't know how to say this....'
well, now that things have "shifted" with age, it might be easier?
yeah, that's not my golf problem
bea, not easier, but underarmour helps keep things in place
oh, I went to the "farmer's market" in town yesterday. not much produce, mostly hipster type crafts and foods
at a tournament, some guy we were playing with offered me a "tip." he said, 'squish the gals, it'll improve your swing'
yes, many are that way, carla. disappointing
yep
oh! the underarmour. purchased because i kept hooking my underwire with my club! imagine the kerfuffle i caused on the fairway!
well keep us abreast of your current golf game then welki
omg
lol, knew that was coming
ruru is such a boob
golfing with me is a titillating experience
we are more rural so we have several vendors that only have produce. more as the season progresses. but still many artisans as well.
owl and i have met, so i'm sure she can envision me on the course
and ru, also!
we do have a lot of roadside produce stands, so I don't really need the market
might even be inspired to take up the game again.
i think it's great you do it for the enjoyment of it welki..good on you
you both know i can use the exercise :)
<--- roly-poly
since covid, so can i. i am working on joining the y again.
okay, time to make breakfast - have a good day, everyone!
bye

VERY small thing....that is what is added to the against prefix...
no idea pen
it's a four letter word you probably already have...
ty molly
don't have any 4 letter words I don't know the def for -- just a few 4 letter words I could apply to this word!
think electrons, neutrons....
Not a molecule but an...
I didn't take anything but introductory science -- chose other options instead
Sounds like Eve's mate
a = ___ Sawyer
a +
i suppose that's what antimatter would be made of?
ty - didn't think of that as part of the electron, neutron group - as I said, never studied any of that
Cs Conquered!
BAck in the dark ages we weren't required to take science past grade 10 which was an introduction to chemistry, biology and physics. All I learned that year was not to take chem, biology or physics as one of my majors

who thinks my monkeys will remember not to try 4s? lol
lol @ nan!
rather, nan's comment! I feel that pain!

Sorry, already said
it's like someone's email address is in the grid....Thomas@hotmail.....
sa 7-8 combo as well - looking for it now

no -- the 2nd word doesn't have a def in enable
greaaaaat

ze 6 tip top of something also, old TV brand
Thank you sukee and Sophie
It took me ages to find the 4 until I just monkeyed it
hmm, found nothing new on my lunch break. guess I have seen all there is to see here.
What are you lunch breaking from?
lol, nothing really
have been making new letters/numbers/logo for my mailbox post with my vinyl cutting machine
does it have any other uses?
and do you need to program it?
the vinyl cutter? you can do a ton of stuff. it does have a software you have to learn. you can make car window decals, iron-on decals for shirts. those are the main things I do.
you can do stuff with cardstock, like when my boys were graduating, I made little gift boxes that looked like grad caps for their friends.
you can make stencils to paint designs
hi again - back to look for those last two words
cannot for the life of me see a piece of men's jewelry that is a compound word and 8 letters long
Nan, ti 8 is what men wear around their neck and then the cl 5
found it - have never heard that term before
now that li 7 -- lace your hands and link your hands, but li 7?
looked up the lli 7 -- no def.
