Okay, I have learned my something new for the day. I never knew there was a big debate about where to store open ketchup, fridge or shelf. I have always kept mine in the fridge.
Fridge here also. I was shocked when someone told me they kept theirs in a cupboard.
I usually let it get to room temperature before using it, but it seems like it would spoil on the shelf.
I keep all my mustards in the fridge too

What do you use in place of it? I have a Peruvian chicken recipe that calls for it.
I just use it very rarely.. mostly when I make Chinese chicken salads .. I'm not a big soy sauce person in general

FINALLY found an R. Alternative sp to a normal word
no fridge for soy sauce. my filipino friend does not and I thought she was crazy so I looked it up. we use La Choy because it is gluten free (most soy sauce is not). the bottle does not say to refrigerate and I have looked it up online for that brand.
and I buy the low sodium when I can find it.
i grew up in a household that did not refrigerate mayonnaise....we all survived without getting sick, but I would not recommend it... ;o)
there's a burger place we go to that has outdoor seating and I inwardly freaked out when I saw the mayo sitting out. It's Hellman's and says on the bottle "no refrigeration required". I do know some mayo is made nowadays with pasteurized eggs and is okay.
i believe what is most harmful is the bits of food that get into the mayo....my mom made all our sandwiches and she was careful....
A big NO from me to unrefrigerated mayo. I have had food poisoning and it is not fun.
I heard my parents tell that when they were kids they would have sunday dinner (dinner is lunch) and then cover leftovers with a tablecloth and eat it again for supper.

my best friend in high school had a stick of butter sitting out all day every time I was there and I also thought that was crazy
My mother used to put the leftover Thanksgiving turkey out in the garage. Was it cold out there? Yes. Cold enough? Who knows. I never ate the leftovers.

my parents didn't get electricity in their town until 1948 so I'm not sure what exactly they did. I know my mom's house had a spring house.
Mr. B's German relatives left the butter out all day. Made me squeamish
The FDA says you can leave butter on the counter as long as it is only for a day or two.
again, i think the real danger is other food bits getting into the butter....
Butter never lasts very long in my house so I don't worry about it.

I just chatted for 10 or 15 min with apple support about my wifi problem and it didn't happen one time, and I swear it just happened here and my post disappeared.

only thing I can think of is maybe the chimney is metal inside? router is on the other side of the fireplace from me.
we are using the router from the ISP and there's no way to customize anything with it. I tried to talk mr. homie into me buying a better one and he thinks we don't need it.

You could probably eliminate the software things like VPN and security services by simply using an ethernet cable and seeing if the issue persists
this house is not set up for ethernet cables sadly
You could also do something goofy like set your phone up as a hotspot and use that network and see if the problem persists (you'd have to use cellular though for it to be a real test

So not sure what Wifi you're using e.g. 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, but it is possible for other devices, even from your neighbor, to be competing on that frequency
It's also possible that the firmware (software that's loaded into the hardware) is not up to date on your wifi router
that is the problem with this router, you can't pick which one to use and can't see which ones are on each.
Also, if you haven't rebooted your wifi router for a while...
if it has slightly buggy software, it can slowly become unstable
our internet went out for hours on Tue, so it rebooted then

Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the top nav bar while holding down the Option/Alt key. Look at the channel information written in grey text. It will say 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz.
5G tends to be a little less tolerant of interference

well, that didn't really help much. I can see both bands but can't see which devices are connected to each.
okay, moo must be on a call. just googled again and saw the article you were talking about and realized he was saying Option/Alt is one key, not two to hold together like Option + Alt, and with that knowledge, I got the info he was talking about and see my macbook is on the 5Ghz.
like I was saying before, I know from a previous ipad issue that 5Ghz is better closer up but the signal doesn't go as far, so now I have to figure out how to get my computer to connect to the 2.4.
