so we had it fairly easy here, mostly snow.
believe it or not, we were out of town this weekend! but yes furnace has had trouble keeping up with double-digit below zero wind chills
yes, that is awful. not yet cold enough here for that, fingers crossed. I dragged out the oil radiator to avoid cranking up the heat in the evening.
my brother went and turned my mom's heat up. it is 8F there right now. I hope they don't lose power.

bea, she's in the same place but they kicked her out of rehab so we had to move her to long term care.
let's hope we come through the week without disaster. later
she has a roommate who is 104 and they called my bro on Tues to tell him the roommate has covid. they told him on Sat they were testing everyone on the hall and told him Tues they were waiting for her results after her roommate's positive, and we still haven't heard anything. but they did get like 8' snow so may be short-staffed.

well, she fell face first out of her wheelchair right after Thanksgiving and busted her forehead open, and she had a raging UTI, so they sent her to rehab after the hospital.
oh no very uncomfortable all around

haha, I sing that every time I hear the word rehab. and funny, ruru. I do think they had her overmedicated at the assisted living.
she had a stroke last Jan and did well initially in the first rehab place but has been pretty immobile since she caught covid there back in Feb or Mar.

yeah, one of the AL nurses had told my brother a week before that fall that she and a couple other residents didn't really belong there because they needed more help. one of those other residents was my mom's brother and he went into the hospital the day after she was moved out of the hospital and died.
