I was just thinking of scrabbler the other day. She was usually here early early morning, but I know she retired.
Her mother is in Hospice care
any help with any of those un7's please?
I just started, sorry
I am struggling a bit with this grid
ok, found one un7 - the candidate applied to lots of jobs but remained un7
curious how they only have the past tense of that word
because the 7 is actually an adj instead of a pt. if it was a verb, the present tense would just be fire or sack.
true
I still need 4 U's, how many more un7 are there?
2 CARLA
thanks, nancy
un7 - un + what you do to corners of a quilt or crown molding/baseboards with a certain type of saw. both US and UK spellings.

the u has stumped me so far
only four found
well, I had both those re6 but only one re7
I found 9 u's ruru {smug}
I assume you don't want a nudge when you say you are stumped, but I can give a gentle stats one if you want.
no .. it's ok.. i'm working on the h's right now
the H is def my biggest problem
h's are done (SMUG BACK)
hells yeah
wow.. had to look up some u 7's... never saw those before
Aloy is getting to be quite the chat buster
hello...clue for the in7 pls
the movie, "in7 the wind"
morning kiddos
hey jes
how's your weekend, welki?
quiet so far. how's your boy, woods, doing?
sleeping on my lap right now. went to neurology, still waiting for fungal titers but looking like epilepsy
and major facial bone malformations which confirmed what I suspected about his breathing (he can't breath through his nose at all)
from the photos you posted, he doesn't look any worse for wear. i don't know much about canine epilepsy, but suspect that it's a better diagnosis than what it could have been.
I am glad he didn't come back as chronic distemper though, because that's got a sucky long term prognosis
you're keeping him?
for at least a month, to see if the meds control his seizures. but ideally he'll be up for adoption after that.
epilepsy is probably mostly genetic (but there's no single-gene test) and is usually life-long medication for seizure control. I'm worried though that between that and the nasal thing he'll be hard to adopt out
i got the feeling he was going to stay with you
so I might end up with him long term.
i get it - time will tell.
but the more I keep long term animals, the less able I am to take on new rescues/fosters. he's a pretty good dog, great personality, but I was not in the market for training a puppy :P
good morning everyone :)
greetings greetings, best wishes for you and this pup jes
morning nan, hursh!
nice to 'see' you jes - gotta run. bye, all
ty to carla for the mi 5 clue
have a good one, welki!
now is there by chance a clue for the x please?
name that proper noun! titular detective on a show that i'm too young to have watched
ty welki
nm - rememmbered it
columbo's not in there though, hursh :P
Mannix....
is hursh bragging about her youth again?
but i DID catch a lot of columbo, it ran a long time - i think the last ep was in like the early 2000s
ding ding ding!!!
wd pen - had forgotten mannix
never knew mannix
saw it earlier...hello all...that show had an interesting beginning sequence....ahead of its time....
i've only heard of it and the name sticks in my head cause it's an unusual sort of name
that character also appeared in a Diagnosis Murder episode...
de7?
don't have it...
it's the absolute de7 cri, you see. as cris go, this is about as de7 as you can get
(bertie wooster quote ftw!)
french last for the de
it's really a french word but we have assimilated that one phrase
or a measure of the thickness of your stockings
Ts Tanked!
i am totally lost on that clue....
huh?
d + bert's friend + one more letter
what clue? the de 7?
it's french for last if that helps....just found it...
I thought you knew french pen
don't know bertie wooster
you should rectify that post haste!
i do, but the clues together made no sense to me....finally saw "last".....
I don't think I've seen that word before. I cheated phaeton - google translate from penquis' clue
we have had it before, but not recently, i don't think...
i need a break.....leaving 25 for later...bye all....
we really have the full employment cycle here today. first you get hi5, then fi5, then re7, then re7
Hurshy's clue as applied here (de 7 cri) refers to the latest fad in fashion or decor
don't understand the cri?
well the cri is french also, the whole phrase is directly lifted from french, meaning "the last cry"
it's the entire phrase phaeton -- literally last call
got it...fw
i did give an alternative sesame street based clue at 10:44...
yay phaeton!
stats for the corner i please?
im6/21
ty hurshy
one U away from greying the 3rd row...
Look un5 the couch for a clue, hursh

how many 4's?
4
yeah 2 5s, 3 7s
have 4x4, 2x 5, 6, 7
ah - missing 2 of the 7's

neither makes any sense, though

listing for last 25 -- need to get my breakfast!
Think I'm going to have to stop looking at this grid at the flip. So many of my missing words were ones I entered then - refreshing doesn't seem to work anymore
down to 3 -- food first :)
following nan to the list, but with 45 left cuz I'm not as good ;)
hane
Just wait til we get our Hanes on you
hi 7 please?

congrats nan!
good I was trying to give a hint for hi 7 and all I got was it is an act with buttocks.
it has to do with offspring of male horse and female donkey
It's a less common word for horse sound
that's a good clue Molly
Thanks Saan, nice to see a friendly face
yay nan!
that is a whole slew of he6s innit?
An act with buttocks?????what on earth is that?
I have hi 6 but not 7
Also need a clue for the top corner i word please
im6/21, turkish inn
hello everyone
Ty
Got it. Ty
Any clues for that hi 7 word? Ty.
add a W in front of it and it's the sound a horse made
That is not seven letters. Missinbg something. I guess the ending………ey or just y is what should be.
past tense ending mkg
it's definitely 7 letters, it made it :)
Ouch. Ty i didnt see second H in grid. Now i think i will get it.
Yup got it. Ty
I had the same H blindness lol
Ty all for the clues.
No idea what the act with buttocks thing was about.

5/16 and last 5/10 is more clear, sorry
aaaaand never mind. you said 7/36. yeah, I also don't see a 7/36. ignore me.
