no, those are nail caps. rubbery tips superglued on. When I first got her, she was terrible about scrabbling/scratching at legs to be picked up and while I was working on stopping that I capped her nails to decrease the damage
she's a total punk though, and climbed into my bed between the sheets to chew them all back off

As do dogs wearing shoes. That freaked me out the first time I saw it.
I absolutely do dress her up in little sweaters and stuff though, I've become one of those! And the cats all get nail caps regularly.
She does have boots but we only use them when it's too cold out and the ground hurts her feet (20f or lower)
well, and sometimes in freezing slush, because that's awful.
she's only 9.5 pounds so she gets cold easily.
