his boss and I arranged for a dinner at a tapas restaurant, with only the colleagues that are special to him and his family, only one small speech. Lots of cards and gifts.

back. Yes, officially his retirement starts on June 16, his birthday. But he is using up his vacation days now, he has handed in all work-related devices and now he has had his farewell dinner... so yeah, it is done!

lol... the last half year, he had a very very frustrating superior who didn''t know her ass from her face and he got so worked up about it. And I kept repeating: NOT your monkey, NOT your circus. As a mantra. Yesterday, one of his colleagues gave him a monkey doll that makes music, and when you hit it on the head, it screams at you. Rob laughed so hard!

nothing. I did 5 hours in a car and 3 hours in a restaurant yesterday. Will take at least two days for my body to recover. Lots of pain.

i begged my parents to buy a piano so i could learn. they said if we buy it you have to promise to stick with it for 2 years. i was sick of it after 2 weeks. they made me keep going for the whole 2 years. i think they thought i would change my mind, but i didn't. when i quit my mom said, "you'll regret not being able to play when you're an adult". and i said, "no i won't, i'll just remember how much i hated practicing."
I played clarinet, some piano, and choir. Loved it! Am in a community choir now, and really enjoy it.
