well now that the hip pain isn't there, we can focus on those muscles more. so going onto chair pedals and going to build up tolerance on them. also looking at working with ankle weights when doing hip exercises.

Most seeds you can just plant in the ground when the soil is warm enough. Other plants need to be planted in the fall so they can go through a cold season. Then they will germinate.

well, there is a stray cat who comes around sometimes, and he absolutely ENRAGES my Opie when he does. and then he flips out and takes it out on Fritz. so i need to keep the stray away. i read various tips and one was sprinkling coffee grounds around, so my mom has been giving me hers and i've put them out weekly. at first it seemed effective but lately he's been around again and this last time was the very day after i put out the coffee grounds! planting rue was another idea, so i was thinking of trying that next, but now i am sad to know it won't be a potential help for a whole year, if i have to plant it in the fall and wait for it to grow
one EXTREMELY HELPFUL TIP (sarcasm) was to close your blinds so your cat doesn't see the other cat outside. yeah right. have they MET any cats? cats go BEHIND THE BLINDS all the time.

get a have-a-heart trap, capture it, and take it to animal control
the only pheromone products i'm familiar with are from like Feliway, meant to calm cats

We have a menacing Bengal in the neighborhood. He comes around and menaces my cats bu standing at the doorway. I have tried throwing water. His owner thinks that if she puts him on a leash and arranges a "playdate"- seriously- with my cats, they will all be friends. These are animals, not toddlers.
idk if i can capture it... actually i don't even know for sure if it's still the same cat every time because i never see it now, it comes after dark and then runs away too fast for me to even catch a glimpse
i found Feliway ineffective in the past for lesser things than this... i don't think it's strong enough to make a dent in the rage. i mean i've NEVER seen anything like the rage that Opie has. he literally wants to kill that other cat.
Another thought is to try deer repellant or liquid fence. The smell may keep them away.
luckily i recognize the extremely weird yowl now so if i'm there, i grab opie as fast as i can and shut him in the bathroom
MOSTLY lately i've grabbed him before he starts attacking Fritz, but this week Fritz was just right next to him so he got a slight attack
