PS - I fell 3x over the weekend but I'm okay! Hope you start to feel better soon, ruru.
Carla are you SURE you don't drink?
could you imagine
Inner ear problems? Or are you just the incredible falling woman?
2x was on the disc golf course. first was slight hill and I stepped on like 20 gumballs and my feet just flew out from under me. second was a steeper hill with loose gravel. yesterday was in golf shoes in a monsoon and I got out of the cart at the clubhouse and yet again feet flew out from under me.
and for those that don't know what gumballs are maybe bea can tell us the actual name
sweetgum balls

Often wonder where American squirrels live? Ours live in a drey
they make a nest in a tree
Same thing. The Brits just call it a drey for some reason
two syllables shorter than "squirrel's nest" - very economical
but there's never any accounting for people who insist on doing things differently from Americans
good afternoon everyone :)
just read the chat -- no hive so I am stumped on that be 7
a fenced area for your apiarists?
ty mool
yw

eating seaweed makes me gag
fair enough
Heat's gotten to me
oh duh, i see it, no5
i know about Lenore and the Raven, what i don't know is what the ethnic slur you referred to might be
He4.
hmm, guess i need that then
aHA thanks, didn't know that was a word
oh! sorry! didn't catch that you were looking for the n5
I wish I could give you a clever clue
Oh Lenore isn't a phantom!
not a phantom but a NTPN
Archie Bunker used it a lot
NT" Proper noun?
Name That Proper Noun!
it's one of my auxiliary games that i invented
Oh yeah.
i say like name that proper noun! Cowboy-hat-logoed fast food franchise
and you say "Arby ('s)!"
and i say "ding ding ding!"
well not necessarily me, other people also do them :)
I invented Name that ethnic slur, and clues that are punny, II din't know you invented NTPN.
yes, that and "GWHIM" / "GW*IM" - Guess What Hurshy Is Missing or any variant with the first letter of anyone else's name
hi again :) Did anyone ever have a clue for that de 8, please?
i MAY have been the one to coin the term phantom for its purpose, but i can't recall for sure... the memory is getting lost in the phantomy mists of time at this point
de8 is the way you present yourself, your bearing. people like those who have a calm de8.
thanks hurshy
yw
ok got le5/14, and looked it up, and that sounds REALLY gross
name that proper noun! Ms. Glossop of the Jeeves & Wooster stories

nbt
it's 88F here in Reston right now. Ugh.
And Gl5 Rd is in the grid. The Gl5 itself is the church on the grounds of Marymount University.
thanks dc!
:)
I'm glad that helped someone
my brain is not working on this... stalled out at 74
still 93 left here. I just don't seem to care. been doing other stuff.
ah, no i mean i've only found 74. :P
some days are like that.
I'm at 89. and am watching a video.
well, I've only found 67 :D
we are watching a jesse owens biopic. pretty good.
I'm listening to a Murderbot Diaries book
I'm watching What Came before the Big Bang by History of the Universe on YouTube.
yay distraction!
squirrel!
I'm debating between ice cream and a cocktail.
maybe evening meds and ice cream.
ice cream! ice cream!
oooh, ice cream
Häagen Dass Strawberry :)
which is as good as their vanilla.
I had a smoothie for lunch.
I really like their chocolate peanut butter
ooh, I'll have to look for that.
which beegee is in the grid
hm. I found a Bryan.

I have no L, and no O, and no A form the lower right.
do you want any stats?
I have L stats, but no luck yet.

comedian/talk show host is the one L I have

I don't have that one
ah, got another fishy ho7, thanks
still only have 7 on the lower H
oh, grayed the right side R, so that 7 is the other R
yes, yes it is
I guess I could have been a bit more helpful with dimitri earlier - but it seemed unlikely that he was enjoy Babble much if he doesn't know *some* English.
*was going to enjoy*
speaking of apparently not knowing English
I went and looked, and you did provide helpful information.
without a basis in English, it would be a challenge, yes.
Perhaps in Quebec, I suppose.
I could have tried responding in French, at least, although it's been a long time since I used it much.
shell-o-bell did respond in French.
Only to comment that not *all* the words are English, I think.
yes, that's what I read.
though I'd argue they are in English, if rare.
deciding when a word is English or not can be difficult, sometimes
indeed so!
One of the funniest French words I know is "shampooing", meaning "shampoo", but pronounced very differently from how it is in English.
I'm not sure if they approve of it in France - I know they used to be sticklers for avoiding foreign words and keeping French "pure"
Anyway, I'm finished, so maybe I can offer some clues, if any are wanted?
re5.14 please?
I'm at a loss
a person who doesn't follow the rules
(or the act of going against the rules)
I mean, to go against the rules (a verb)
"the act of" doing it is a longer word, and can describe a political uprising
oh!
so many fishy today
yes, we've had a few weird grids lately
anyway, i'm off for now - good luck with the rest of it!
thanks! g'night
