most insults are just that, phantoms. Most people are not so much into us and saying bad stuff, lol
my alarm app just said that it's bedtime LOL
lol, ikr? Mine bosses me around all day, time for meds, time for sending a text, time for work, time for bed.
I turned off the evening med alarm, then waited 2h. Oops
heh. phones are a lifesaver for those of us with no onboard memory
so true!
very true, jes
my orange cat ate a quantity of yogurt into which i had mixed all natural crunch PD and Bonne Maman 4 Fruits jam. i was surprised by that. she seems content though.

very true, it is a frustrating ING today
Oh my goodness - I got wordle in one today :)
wowwwww well done!
!!!!!! Ursh!!!!!!
I sign on and see that?!?!
I always start with the same word and today it was the one
awesome :)
will you switch?
no I dont think so
When that happened to me, I decided to switch to a rotation of three words so I wouldn't feel 'trapped' by the same word. Now, of course, I'm afraid that one of those three will come in on a day I don't use it!
lol
lol
morning brain exercises - babble - wordle - Lovatts Trivia - sometimes my brain switches on and sometimes not
Howdy. Fell asleep on the couch and now awake. 35 left and 12 are G

oh5/16
Thank you most kindly.
And hello Rose and Sprite!
(And anyone else who is here!)
btw, i was let loose in the garden centre again yesterday. found two daisies to replace the two which didn't survive. yes, you read that. i can kill daisies..lol. got my gladiol bulbs, and splashed out on some new irisis. also picked up two native plants which i will pot up, until after i have prepared the soil. mine is too much clay-like.
very nice.

I have never seen the other lower u. It means a claw or a hoof.
what are the stats pls? for that u?
Un 6/30
ty
ty now to monkey it from the root
maybe
yvw
there is no root for it Owl
it's a word all of its own, I've never seen it
well the root is for hoof
the whole word is a hoof
i believe it
it refers for hooved animals
oops, time for the gym. hope it's cook there
glad that's out of the way. happy babbling
Again, there is no root for the un6
whatever
rom late Latin ungulatus, from Latin ungula ‘hoof’.
later
knowing the root and that hooved animals are ungulates help
Boy i am trying all monkeys for the un word and not getting it yet. Hmmm
No luck. I give up.
Any clues for top row o word welcome.
oh5
Ty
yw
Got it. Ty.
Do you have the U words for fourth row U? Missing those. Ty.
I found one of them. Ty anyway
Any clues for either 8 welcome.
Sleeveless undershirts, or maybe those vests you wear when you're in a foot race?
(si8/50, plural of si7/26)
Matty i didnt know there was a term for those shirts. Will look. Ty.
Trying to get the nu 8 and no luck. Have the word before and after. Ugh.
Or as a cryptic clue - I might allow you (second half of word) to do more than hum (first half of word). I'm looking for the nu as well
Got the si words. Wow. Ty. Didnt know the term.
The NU is the outer casing of, say, an almond
Gut the si 8! As to the other ne, not sure.
Got the si 8 i mean. Sorry.
Or, when used with 'in a', a summary of an argument or long winded statement
(And I've just clued the NU8)
Got the nu. Ty ty ty.
I am all set now. Ty.
ns
Norma what is ns?
Great clues today all. Ty.
good morning everyone :)
morning all
187 to go
howdy folks. 24 left here.
hey hoke
moooo
hi carla
how's the wednesday going for you
I've been watching that NZ show again that I think I told you about before. such a weird accent y'all have. :D
hey nan
hah
well, I did a run/walk this morning and though it was only 76 out, I sweated buckets.
well my NZ accent is long gone
yeah, I was sweating too when I went walking...and it was maybe high 60s...not sure whether it was just sympathy sweats
yeah, I figured yours had faded some
ha, sympathy sweats
78F at 8:55 am -- need to do some gardening so have to it soon
77 here now
only supposed to get to 88 today
almost noon here so we are now 88 feels like 92
We were without power for several hours last night. Sweating in the dark.
wow -- did you know that adjectives can now be pluralized?
eek, our power flickered several times during a storm last evening but luckily never went off
yeah nan, that always bothers me
the control board electronics on the gates to our complex were fried during a powersurge from an electrical storm couple of weeks ago. As the fellow on council who is responsible for getting them repaired wants the gates removed, goodness knows how long that will take.
we have a whole gate saga here too
people moved here from chicago and LA and think we're all about to be murdered in our sleep.
well, here's my stats. as always, any guesses appreciated. 4-7-11-2 H T U S G7 L5 U L S3 T2 E
I don't think I'm going to be murdered in my sleep, but we have a lot of homeless people hanging around our town in the summer and as an elderly woman living alone I like the idea of the gates being locked 24/7
we also have a lot of snowbirds living here who like the security of locked gates when they are not at home.
yeah, I like having the gates, but when we first moved in 2 years ago they started making everyone without a RFID go through the main gate, when the back gate closest me is way more convenient coming from the south. and GPS always routes people there so any delivery I have to tell them before hand not to go that way and then tell the driver when he calls me from there asking how to get in.
they also had a bar in front of the gate to keep people from tailgating in so you had to wait for the bar to raise, then the gate to open. it was all overkill and they took it down when it fell on someone's car and broke.
but yes, part of the issue is people who have this as a second home and aren't here full time.
I'd better eat breakfast and get out to the garden before it gets any hotter out. bbl
back
back with lunch
oh, what's for lunch?
caprese salad w/ proscuitto (no idea how to sp that right). it's from a meal kit. I couldn't come up with that on my own.
sure you could, slice some mozz, add some tomato, fresh basil and some balsamic and oil
you can even buy the mozz pre-sliced if you like
yes, it wasnt hard, I just wouldn't think of it
oh
thought gunshy might work :)
that is a thing
my dad had beagles for hunting back when I was a kid
oh...did he hunt foxes?
5OFOET 7-9-13-2-1
I don't think so, but I'm not sure what he used them for. he and one of his friends would go out "running beagles"
yeah, sounds like he just wanted to get out of the house ;)
still haven't found a word since I posted my list at 11:15
maybe :D
found a 6...which is nice
yeah, my biggest word length as usual
found a 7..which was nicer
what was it?
u7
I def. don't have a u7
yeah, kind of a dumb one
phantom ugliest
found another 6
maybe I'll start looking
too many u's
I need 1 U from each
me too
gonna look for my 4 4's
need 5 Gs
still need 7 g
Those G's were hard.
i thought a g6 was a phantom and almost posted as such here
yeah, already have a couple of weirdos
good to know. I guess.
Sometimes I would like to grab the Enable word list nerds and tell them where they can shove all their foreign currency
been there shirl. I had to start checking any word that I thought was a phantom before posting it.
yeah, this grid is a tricky one
I thought it was pretty easy until I got stuck here.
finally found a set of L's
living large!
almost half my remaining words are 6s
but still haven't found a 4
same 4-6-10-2
3-7-9-1-1
S3 G5 N L4 U L S2 T4
found a 5
H T U S G7 L3 U L S3 T2 E
wow, found the E. really did think that was a phantom and almost said something about it last night.
checking your plurals on that top T
found two Ts
I don't see any obvious missed plurals.
have tried thingy more than once
there's a couple of 3s that are plural too :)
heidy ho good neighbors
namaste
I have 3 tu4's
bye bea
you have them all then
hey hurshter
hey hurshy
how're you guys
can't complain I guess
it's going
how about you
good, but a bit nervous about an interview i have later today
you'll do great!
nerves are just a way to make sure you're prepared :)
i don't usually... i suck at interviews
heidy ho...Hurshy goes Mr. Hankey
who's Mr. Hankey? i was quoting Wilson from Home Improvement, but perhaps HE was quoting Mr. Hankey?
he's from south park
the christmas poo...we love him, and he loves you
oh then wilson couldn't have been quoting him
he's actually poop
south park is newer than home improvement
maybe matt and trey got it from wilson
that could be
it had been running for 6 years when they started south park
I'm quite happy that ru's not here right now
I think mr hankey was added later too, but I could be misremembering.
perhaps the second season
I'm honestly shocked that the guy who doesn't watch TV knows all this info about south park.
Oh Ru is all about scatology. Ask BR
idk, i've never watched SP - i can't get past the theme song and the annoying voices, it's all like nails on a chalkboard to me
I was wondering about that too Carla
so originally they did it as a christmas card for some hollywood execs
my ex brother-in-law worked in that industry, so I saw a couple of versions of it...then it was on Comedy Central like a year later
they're great at social commentary, hurshy. my oldest son hates it too, but the youngest watches it all the time on whatever streaming service.
Their Facebook episode was classic
yes i have heard they are great at social commentary
so it The Boys on amz
*so is
any SY words?

sorry, went to Brora for a tasting, the countryside is beyond beautiful, and we saw a bothy , three or four, we are exhausted by all we have seen, castles and all. best trip ever, will email more later
sounds wonderful - I always loved our trips to Scotland
no gunshy despite all of the other questionable "compounds" that are accepted
first time in Scotland for 3/4 of us and we're just blown away with its beauty
sounds like you are having good weather there -- I hope you realize how rare that is :)
yes we've been very lucky. drizzle here and there, temp in the 60's (F) And yes we do realize; been watching the weather for months now.
where are you? on a tour or travelling around on your own?
guns
oops sorry
traveling around. Near Inverness now, then to Loch Ness, then to the Hebrides - Isle of Mull (Staffa to see puffins), Islay, then several days in Edinburgh
on our own
loved Islay. Inverness is where I had my first taste of sticky toffee puddying -- yum. Have it with both ice cream and whipped cream if offered that way :)
nan, wish you were here too!
I intend to eat sticky toffee pudding whenever I see it on a menu. Love that inordinately and I've never had it here, just NY
hello dorens
If you are travelling down the west coast there are a lot of interesting stops along the way. standing stones and first settlement Dunadd Fort near Kilmartin. Ru will no doubt do a tasting at Lagavullin on Islay.
Hi there owl. And yes, Nan, Lagavulin is one of the reasons for Islay!
me too, Saanich -- you and Dorens are bringing back lots of wonderful memories.
i am a bit jealous of your trip ;)
It is pretty fantabulous, Owl. But I'm sure your Greek cruise was too
it was. a land excursion. and islands
i keep waiting to find rice pudding and greek yogurt eery morning.
MMM. rice pudding, yum
have you EVER been in a greek diner that did not have great rice pudding?
and i ate octopus! I tried everything. and there were cats EVERYWHERE
I did a greek cruise several years ago and loved it. That's when I learned about Assyrtiko, on Santorini
santorini...after hking to Oia the plae was PACKED because several large ships had docked.
Ah. My ship was small and it wasn't too bad. was in May
a good time/ did you go to hydra?
Yes, and sang So Long Maryanne
I took a photo of birds on a wire :)
nice
I loved hydra
But you are one of the dew people who would get it.
I really object to the way the ice house is spelled here
noted
igly
it's been so many times, though, I'm used to it
I didn't care this time because I remembered it on my own
well dorens, hope to see your travelog. Not sure if mine is visible.

not getting anywhere with those lu's
well break time, have a good day dorens and all

had to look up the un6. not up on my weird insect/plant words.
also ridic - lu6/33
finding G a little tough here too
yeah, looking up some
though one of mine was a regular 5 that I thought was a phantom
phantom: guilt
we are currently getting hammered by a thunderstorm
doesn't help that glutes don't count
yes, I typed guilt earlier just in case I wasn't just seeing things
finally finished
3rd row L is difficult also
wonder if there are any LL
phantom: style

that's weird, finished the 7s but only have one of the two 8s
OH!

oh dear my stats remaining are 2-8-9
hurshy did you have your interview?
help with un6/30 and lu6/33 please
yes, i had my interview, and i was accepted into the program
so now i just have to be terrified about starting it... in a little less than a month
yay! I told you you'd do great
you'll also do great in whatever the program is, so don't be terrified
I would help peri, but this is 3.5 hours later, so surely she found them
You will do great, congratulations !! @hursy
i wonder what it's like NOT to be afraid of everything
my fingers don't work.. apologies for misspelling your name
it must be so nice
oh no probs christa, people misspell my real name all the time too so i've been used to that all my life lol - does not bother me
huh. i thought gunshy was a word
meaning like, when you've fallen off your horse and you're afraid to ride again
oh, it has a hyphen
you should have still helped, hokie, because now i need the lu6/33 and there doesn't seem to be a clue for it in chat anywhere
hm. I found UN6.36, but no UN6.30 yet.
do you mean 7/36
oh, I do! thanks
well i don't suppose it matters much since that is the one you DO have lol
FINALLY monkeyed lu6/33 - breathing organ + actress Charlene from the final season of House
