Nope. It has been the hottest summer ever! I call it "cooler" when it's 95F. That, I can tolerate to do a bit of evening yard work. Actually, tonight is the coolest night in weeks - I have my door and windows open for some fresh air.
But it was after midnight when I could open up.
yuck. i guess you're in for a co4 winter then. it's been bitter over here. but the sun is starting to poke his head out from behind the clouds now and again.
I've been having the outside of my house fixed. The dry rot has been replaced, I have new siding, and a new window in my bedroom. the old window let SO much heat in, so afternoon naps should be cooler now. After the new construction wood is primed, then I have a painter lined up. A major paint company here went out of business, so painting costs went sky-high. I got 2 bids, only $50US apart. But the lower bid will fix a couple of things the higher one wouldn't. I will be so happy to have the outside fixed up. Then I have to start on the inside. I remodeled when I bought the place in 2000. It needs a lot of help now.
We had a terrible fire here 2 years ago and it was named Caldor. I am having trouble getting past seeing that in the grid.

no, we end up with low temperatures at like 3-5AM, and even then it's like 75-80F
The dash to the car and getting it cooled off isn't bad. It's 7.5 miles to town, so by the time I get there I'm cooled off and dash into the store. But, I have to shop at least 2 stores to get what I need. I have to do it again tomorrow. It's supposed to been under 100F, so that's not too bad after days on end of 110-116F.
Our local grocery decided to stay open til 10:30PM instead of 10PM. Not much difference in temps in that half hour.
ours here are open 5 or 6 AM to midnight.
some of our stores are open 24 hours. our big supermarkets for instance. if you are awake enough to shop you can shop any time. it just makes sense.
I'm in rural area, most places close really early. Being a night owl, I usually just cook my own dinners because 9PM is the latest any place to eat stays open here. I don't know when they open - I'm asleep, lol!

The best places to grab a decent quick bite close at 2PM here. I'm ready for breakfast about when they close.

Rose, Taco Bell lets you add your preferred amount of spice to a taco. Tacos are the only thing I get there.

one of our maccas has a new franchisee. he has restructured how they make their burgers and they are delish.
I use the hot sauce and it's mild to me. I don't tolerate HOT sauce at all.
I know they are experimenting with new menu items in places in the US.I've not eaten McDonalds in over 20 years.
can't stand HJ's. i can taste the stewing of their meat which is revolting.
I do want to try McD's in India though.

I stopped in at McD's after I took my dog to the vet a few months ago. The fries were still good, but the burger was disgusting. I had a few bites, the dog got the meat and the rest went in the trash.
this all sounds like we eat take-away a lot but we don't. it's a treat we have every 3 months or so.

Sagrada Familia I did see, but it was not complete yet. The roof was half-finished when I was there.
I did see GaudÃ's apartment building, and some others, and Parc Guell
still not finished. not until 2026 they hope.
The big cathedral here in DC is still repairing the North Tower after the 2009 earthquake.
there was a gaudi house opposite our hotel room. it was lit up every night. just breath-taking. i could have sat up all night.

well hurshy... they are forcing condo associations to do costly structural upgrades that have such high costs seniors cannot afford to keep their condos. They're mostly walking away from them and losing all their money in real estate
