1:37 am

hi sweetie *hugs*

1:40 am

how are you going today Sprite?

1:42 am

am miserable. It is way too hot, 35C and up, in this humidity. But, on the plus side, we moved our bed downstairs, now that Caya is back at Juno's, and hopefully today we will move the desks. Which means we will only have to walk the stairs for showering.

1:43 am

good one honey. but not happy about that heat and humidity.

1:44 am

no it is less than fun. Can't wait for the weather to break and give me that thunderstorm that is making me so ill right now.

1:44 am

and how are you today?

1:46 am

at that " i don't want to do that/this stage" even with valium not sleeping. still doing exercises but have cut back some. have to keep everything moving or i'll lock up.

1:47 am

yeah, try to find that sweet middle spot of keeping it limber but not pushing too hard. Counting down the days now?

1:48 am

new research re FM. it has been found it is a disease of the immune system. huge step forward. up to now sufferers were being told it's all in your head. grrr.

1:49 am

ikr?

1:49 am

AND Long Covid is a form of FM. so breakthrough there in the Rx of long covid.

1:49 am

oh wow

1:52 am

and... surprise, surprise, the nerves at skin level are either too small or not present. and, and we have antibodies which attack the nerves themselves.

1:52 am

that explains so much

1:53 am

sure does. and it all starts with a triggering event. well duh !

1:54 am

isn't it amazing how much sooner they would have found all this out, if they had listened to the people suffering from it?

1:56 am

in my case the repeat surgery on my knee with the subsequent sewing of nerves into my suture line. with covid sufferers have their immune system triggered by the virus. but long covid has no viral activity at all. it's all the antibodies they are now producing.

1:57 am

instead of being treated like a bunch of neurotics who need psych care...

1:57 am

guess that explains me too. Surgeries, and 3x covid.

1:59 am

FM sucks. I wonder when this new research will lead to something that actually helps people who live with it.

2:00 am

that will be the next step. Usually takes many years.

2:00 am

exactly sweetheart. i can only suggest you find a Compound Pharmacy, that is one which makes up various compounds. the pharmacist should be able to make up the PEA (palmitoethanolamide) compound for you. PEA stops the production of substance P a neurotransmitter which enables message to pass along from nerve to nerve.

2:01 am

hey Kam. this is life-changing stuff. it gives us FM people a chance to LIVE again.

2:01 am

Rose, do you have a link to the research on this? I want to let Juno know.

2:01 am

may i ask what FM stands for? sorry to eavesdrop.

2:01 am

I knew substance P was an issue but haven't heard of PEA before. Will ask my doc if he knows anything about it next time I go.

2:01 am

fibromyalgia

2:01 am

hiya mab, you are always welcome to join!

2:01 am

mab, you are not eavesdropping.

2:02 am

I would LOVE to not have my body feel so awful!

2:02 am

oh, thank you.

2:03 am

Sprite, does pasting links still mess up the chat?

2:03 am

like i said Kam, you need to find a Compound Pharmicist. they would have an extra qualification which allows them to make up compounds,

2:03 am

I found some research on it.

2:03 am

yes, you need to shorten the URL

2:03 am

or email me?

2:05 am

and the latest is that paracetamol, acetominophen in the USA, doesn't help all that much. meds like amitriptyline or duloxetene are recommended.

2:05 am

I haven't read it yet, but check it out. I will later. https://tinyurl.com/3c7eprxc

2:06 am

thanks Kam

2:06 am

I have discovered that boswellia works better than NSAIDS without the side effects.

2:07 am

oh my goodness, I know the words, but I knew nothing at all about it until just now - the cleveland clinic explained.

2:07 am

interesting Kam.

2:07 am

virtually nothing known..

2:07 am

Sprite, I don't have your email addy any longer. My old hard disc crashed and I lost all of my saved emails. My email is the same, shoot me a quick note so I can save your email addy.

2:08 am

mab, go to the Kingsley research.

2:08 am

yes mab, it is a nasty, nasty disease. My child-in-law suffers from it to the point that they cannot stand, walk, or do anything at some days.

2:08 am

it sounds absolutely tortuous.

2:08 am

and make sure it is up-to-date info. check the date of the articles.

2:08 am

my email is near the bottom of my profile, Kam

2:09 am

thank you for that granny rose.

2:09 am

mab, on a bad day i describe it like a tooth ache from the top of my head to the tips of my toes.

2:10 am

i'm so sorry.

2:10 am

my case is not as severe, thank God. But still pretty bad.

2:11 am

Got it, Sprite.

2:12 am

awesome

2:12 am

oh sprite, please dearest. you are just as bad as i am. do not belittle your pain honey. and there is the agony of your emotions added in from that other disorder.

2:12 am

yeah true. I meant I am not as bad off as Juno is.

2:13 am

i have an autoimmune disease; for many years it was not understood as a real illness. it certainly is accepted as real now - takes more time than it should.

2:13 am

it's so hard to see someone suffering like that.

2:13 am

I am so sorry, mab. It is rotten to have a disease in the first place. Not being believed makes it so much worse.

2:14 am

first aspirin, then psychologist, then any combination of pills and the continuing belief that it's all in your head.

2:15 am

mab, medicos have been way to fast to label things under the umbrella " it's in the head" or you're over emotional. blah, blah. i could scream sometimes but have now found a GP who is keeping up to date with all the latest research. bless her.

2:15 am

it makes me so angry when that happens. I mean, jeezzzz, for starters we wouldn't even go to the doctor if aspirin worked.

2:15 am

science has lots to catch up on fibromyalgia - i've known that term for a zillion years.

2:16 am

lol... exactly.

2:16 am

Mab, I've been on that merry-go-round since 1989. I do better with natural supplements, including CBD. Rose, does the PEA interact with CBD since they both hit the same receptors?

2:17 am

rose, could you please email me the link to the research about PEA helping with FM?

2:18 am

m not sure Kam. would be worth looking into that. i had to come off 5-HTP in order to take duloxetene.

2:21 am

sprite, do you use tiktok?

2:21 am

no I don't

2:22 am

okay. Don is down loading the video and will make it so i can use whatsapp.

2:22 am

he is the best

2:23 am

that's the video about the new research. now, you should be able to google PEA. or on whatever platform you use.

2:23 am

Rose, please put it on FB and tag me, or just put in on my home page.

2:23 am

yeah mab's link helped with that

2:23 am

okay Kam

2:27 am

Kam sent it to you on FB messenger

2:27 am

thanks rose. It breaks off at the point where he says "whenever you have been to a doctor or medic..."

2:28 am

yeah, but you get enough info to check out the research facilities for yourself which it what i did.

2:28 am

ah right, thanks hun, will do and get the links so I can update Juno

2:31 am

i hope Juno can find the proper MD to help her.

2:31 am

we won't stop until we find one

2:32 am

may i suggest you look for a doc who was first an anaesthetist, then furthered their studies into chronic pain management.

2:34 am

not that easy a task in the netherlands, honey, we are but a very small country. But will give it a shot.

2:34 am

I would have to drive over 100 miles through some of the heaviest traffic in California. I need to find someone willing to take me - I miss Michael so damn much! He would get me where I needed to go, just how I got him to his brain surgery.

2:35 am

if I lived closer, I'd take you in a heartbeat, Kam

2:35 am

I know you would! <3

2:37 am

DC Klinieken Sprite. new clinics for pain management.

2:40 am

Rose, I'm glad you posted the info. It gives me a new direction to research. If I need to get to San Francisco or Stanford, I'm sure I can find someone who won't mind taking me.

2:41 am

no problems Kam. glad i could help you.

2:44 am

thanks rose

2:44 am

someone will, Kam. You deserve no less.

2:45 am

yw sprite

2:45 am

Thanks, ladies. Love you!

2:45 am

love you right back, hun

2:45 am

as we love you Kam.

2:48 am

i wish i had a stack of disposable income i could share with you all. i would pay for your doc, meds, transport, everything. i can really fe4 the pain and suffering you are going through.

2:49 am

love you to pieces, rose. Your heart is big enough for the whole wide world.

2:51 am

2:53 am

I went shopping today. It seems almost everything was $2-$3 dollars more than it was a couple of months ago. And the least expensive meats (which I feed my animals) were totally sold out after I left.

2:54 am

Yay Sprite! It seems to be a nice grid, but I started chatting before I even looked at the grid when I saw what Rose posted.

8:50 am

It is so exciting to leave the house. I did for an hour on Sunday and ready for more. Breathing is much easier for the most part, just get really tired.

8:51 am

8:52 am

9:35 am

hey hokie - is there a new driver in your golf bag?

9:36 am

hi phae, lindy

9:36 am

hi welki

9:36 am

hello

ha, not yet. was going to head to golf galaxy this morning with the youngest but of course he is still sleeping.

My new wedge and putter I ordered online did arrive yesterday though.

9:38 am

what'd you get?

just both were on sale. I think a 52 degree for the wedge. I think it is Tommy Armour? some brand I'd never heard of. and the putter was just Top Flite.

9:40 am

wake the kid up and get shopping - you have to get to the course to practice :D

9:41 am

i have my 'high handicappers' round in a few hours - always fun

I know, I told him we could play after. our home course is closed on tuesdays but our club is one of 7 connected ones and we can play at the one that's 10 min away instead. but that's the one mr. homie & I lost so many balls the other day because of the clumps of grass right beside the fairway.

9:43 am

if there's no one behind you, do a quick, foot stomping, recon

9:43 am

i found a nice ball on sunday and then promptly pounded it into the woods

yeah, mr. homie found a ProV1 and lost it there.

9:44 am

my husband coveted it, and i was going to give it to him after the round, but when i found it, it immediately became 'the lucky ball' .... some luck :)

9:45 am

my husband plays pro v1 - every year, i order 3 boxes and have them personalized (so you'll know you found one of his in the woods, brush, water ...)

I played a pink one the other day, hit the drive farther than I ever had on that hole, across the cart path. found a pink ball in deep grass, then went to get a club and never found it again, so I dropped one. then we found another pink one on the next tee that was most definitely my original one.

9:46 am

4 boxes - i wait for a buy three, get one free sale

yeah, I found a monogrammed ball the other day and then lost it.

9:47 am

i don't have the club speed for type-of-ball to matter, but it gets in your head, doesn't it

yeah, I just buy cheap ones

would like to find my top 3 T's so I could gray a row

I guess you can't be topsier and turvier

9:50 am

well, i am.

ooh, last col gray

and bottom row

still no HOET thanks to 2nd col E

9:59 am

do you have the 7/8 combo that is sexy

no, but was just looking at that line

oh, found it, thanks

Of all the weird words we have in these grids, I ate the two aa words today the most.

12:30 pm

namaste

12:37 pm

I ate them the most? Jeez.

1:03 pm

No kidding, Molly

1:27 pm

thanks for those AA words

1:35 pm

Odd that we've had them twice recently.

1:44 pm

I found li words that were yesterday also.

1:45 pm

Yes! Got 'em. Weird that we're having them both so soon.

1:53 pm

upside, it's helped me solidify how to spell that.

1:53 pm

Yes! It's weird.

2:17 pm

finally got the lone E

2:22 pm

I have no idea how I monkeyed it.

2:26 pm

Allons-y!

2:27 pm

Gettin' cocky, Seain!

2:27 pm

fial was an alt spelling of vial when I was a teenager

2:28 pm

With all the alt spellings it takes, you'd think...

2:28 pm

indeed

2:29 pm

it also doesn't take rede4, which does happen in many a card game.

2:30 pm

Agree! Or re-ir4....annoying!

2:38 pm

2:39 pm

welcome, moo

2:39 pm

2:39 pm

hey seain, happy Tuesday to you

2:39 pm

2:40 pm

I have fu 6 but not any 7 or 8. Hmmm

4:17 pm

Does the fu refer to skin of animals and their “hair?

4:22 pm

not a regular set of words

4:22 pm

I HAVE NO 8S, 9S OR THE TEN. HELP WELCOME.

4:22 pm

4:22 pm

I have a fu 6/7 combo that is not related to a 5/7/8 set

4:24 pm

and the 6/7 combo is not related to the standalone 6, although I guess they have a common etymological stem and have broadly related meanings

4:24 pm

and the 6/7 combo is not related to the standalone 6, although I guess they have a common etymological stem and have broadly related meanings

4:24 pm

actually the 6/7 is related to a 5

4:24 pm

Would love clues for these words moo. Ty

4:25 pm

Europe in grid but alas not a word we can use.

4:25 pm

fu5 meaning a to-do or "up in arms"

4:25 pm

and then add a letter and plural to get the 6/7

4:27 pm

Have that fu. Ty

4:27 pm

the 5/7/8 combo Is a 5 that starts the way you thought, then has comparative and superlative

4:27 pm

Hgave that 5, 6, 7. Or am i confused????hmmm

4:27 pm

there are two sets

4:28 pm

the 5/6/7 are the up in arms one

4:28 pm

the 5/7/8 are different words that happen to start the same

hey jes

4:39 pm

hello babblers

4:40 pm

hey hursh, happy Tuesday

4:41 pm

happy tuesday to you mool

4:41 pm

how go all the things?

4:41 pm

thanks, down to the dregs on this board

4:42 pm

getting there jes, you?

4:42 pm

just started

4:42 pm

actually I'm upset with my city developing some wild park area near me

4:43 pm

why?

4:43 pm

because he likes the wild park area, he doesn't want it to be developed

4:44 pm

that's the usual reason anyway

4:44 pm

OH! I had that backwards, I'm sorry - I thought you meant they were putting in a park!

4:44 pm

yeah, I'd be upset too

4:44 pm

yeah that's what i figured you thought lol

4:44 pm

Ts Toppled!

4:45 pm

terrific!

4:45 pm

yes, it's well utilized today, and home to a number of prairie dogs

4:45 pm

always need more greenspace for my precious trash pandas! :)

4:45 pm

but also snakes, birds and other wildlife

4:46 pm

:(

4:46 pm

Actually we've got a racoon who just started coming right up to our sliding door

4:46 pm

found the 9s and 10!

bad news.

4:46 pm

And the city is turning this land into generic parkland :(

4:46 pm

which will cost money to maintain of course

4:47 pm

unlike the current prairie like grassland that requires almost nothing

4:47 pm

why would they do that then

they have manicured our trails to the pint that you hardly see wildlife

4:47 pm

It's a good question to be honest, I don't know

4:48 pm

is it like too late to mount an objection or whatever?

4:48 pm

they are in the process of tearing up the actual park they have and replacing it with artificial turf

4:48 pm

ugh

4:48 pm

ugh

4:48 pm

I'm not certain, I have to find out

4:49 pm

go stake yourself to the ground so they can't pull the sod up?

4:49 pm

phantom: sprout (and will soon be a phantom in mool's park... :( )

4:50 pm

I have been tempted to trigger all their prairie dog traps, but figure I need to go through the official channels

4:50 pm

plus I'm concerned that they'll then just and gas them

4:50 pm

are they relocating them?

4:52 pm

I assume so, because when they want to get rid of them usually they gas them

4:53 pm

humans! gah!

4:54 pm

they couldn't even keep the grass and the trees alive in the existing park

4:54 pm

so close on the S, just one more of them

4:54 pm

yes, I have one S left too

4:55 pm

maybe that's why they think artificial grass would be better? but seems way less of a long-term issue to just plant drought-resistant and native plants and let it go

4:56 pm

ah, you gunners, i have 37 s's to go :P

4:56 pm

So I live in Colorado and I'm pretty sure it's going to cost way more for artificial turf upkeep (and ultimate replacement) than grass

4:56 pm

i didn't know i was a gunner

4:57 pm

go-getter?

4:58 pm

i'm definitely not a go-getter in any context other than babble

4:58 pm

Ls Lambasted!

4:58 pm

well babble is the context in which i know you best :)
