Clues are up
well HOET and (past) time for bed. 92 left for tomorrow.
hello
good morning, onpaki
morning babblers
morning, sprite
hiya seain!
I'm hoping my new daily wear glasses com in this week.
fingers crossed. Though you look smashing in your shades
thank you. those are new too.
having the right glasses really improves your life
Maui Jim produces the prescription sunglasses, even with my custom lens request, faster than the regular glasses place does.
And I'm shocked that so many people I know don't understand that my sense needs are complex, hence I cannot use the cheap online places.
I don't know that name
oh I hear you. I have astygmatism, no online lenses for me.
Maui Jim is a brand of sunglass, which makes presumption lenses for their sunglasses.
prescription, non presumption. silly autocorrect
ah, I see. Yeah, it costs a whole lot of money but really worth it
autocorrect is crazy
exactly. After insurance, both pairs together cost me US$2242
that's almost the cost of a month's rent for an apartment where I live.
yeah, really, as they say in the Netherlands, it costs you a rib out of your body, but it is worth it.
an excellent expression.
okay. finally NBT/NBS. Bed time.
happy babbling, yall
bye seain, sleep well!
* hugs * sprite. 6 days but i'm not counting... lol pain levels are pretty good considering. * happy sigh * but very tired, and sometimes downright sleepy.
hello my darling. You are doing so very well. *hugs*
omg I found the 10!
i can't quite believe it. it HAS to be something about the exercise regime.
well done honey. i couldn't believe my eyes when i found it too.
no doubt. It really pays.
also wondering if it's because i have reduced my duloxetine.i've been on a very reduced dose for about 6 months. about the time when things started to go in a positive direction for me.
and what do you take that for?
it was prescribed by GP because it is one of the drugs which is supposed to help with FM. but i found it totally useless. no discernible difference in how i was feeling at all. too many doc's still prescribe to the fact that FM is all in the brain.
ah, right. Great idea then to stop taking it
i'm down to one capsule 60mgs three times/week. that's all. after i come home again i'm going to cut out one dose. see how i go. this drug is really unforgiving. you cannot stop cold turkey.
always smart to slowly build it down
and how are you traveling, honey?
not doing too great atm. BPPD is acting up and I am coughing badly. Am upping my asthma meds.
ugh. so sorry to read that sweetheart.
hey, it is nothing serious, just some minor stuff. It will pass.
I forgot to take the magnesium last night and I had cramps again. So that makes it official, it really helps!
not happy about the cough though. it's been so cold still first thing in the mornings that i have been coughing until i nearly choke. all asthma of course.
I am to take a higher dose when it acts up, so am doing that now. It will do the trick. Haven't had any serious long issues since being diagnosed and medicated.
i was going to ask about the magnesium. not happy you had a bad night with cramps, but if it underlines how much it is helping you, well, that's good.
yeah that is good. I tend to undermedicate. So knowing it really helps is a great motivator for me to take it.
i just wish more people would listen to me about the malate form. it works so well.
I couldn't find a malate slow release here, but what I found is maybe even better. It has magnesium citrate, malate, bisglycinate and taurate
oh okay. malate is still in the mix then.
yes it definitely is.
am loving this grid!
yes. i flew through it. even the longer words jumped out and bit me.
yeah, I am usually biggieblind, but not today
In addition to the malate, I find the Dr.'s Best Glycinate, which is chelated, works to stop leg cramps. I'm almost out and my shipment isn't due until the 23rd. So, I added an extra malate and, so far, no cramps.
Hi!
wtg Kam!
* hugs * kam honey
Hugs to both of you!
*hugs* right back at ya
so do you think you can let the gylcinate go, Kam?
No way!
fair enough.
The doc I used to see is a specialist in nutrition, and he was the one who recommended it. I was already using malate and the glycinate made a huge difference.
Do you know of a problem with using it?
I have better results with the magnesium complex than with the pure malate.
no Kam. but i do wonder about the total amount of magnesium is in the combined 4 types.
I've looked into it, and keep track of my intake of each type I use. My body tells me if I mess up.
I sent you a pic of the label, rose
good Kam
got it thanks. it looks like the label says you actually get 200mg/tablet. is that right?
no, that is the daily dose. So half per tablet
good. supposed to only have 350mg/day.... lol.... i don't think that applies to FM sufferers.
I take one in the morning and one before bed. So far, that is all I need. So that is 200mg/day, well within the limit. And I know I can up it if I need.
I agree, Rose. Our bodies burn it fast.
that it does
can't wait to see what comes out of the new research results. probably not in our lifetimes i guess. but hopefully Juno's.
yes. And nowadays, research goes faster. We might even see some results yet.
That would be nice. FM has been misunderstood for far too long. Now my daughter is worried she may have it. I hope not!
oh Kam... I hope not too. Fingers crossed.
poor love. i hope not too. it's such hard work.
Thanks. The last time we talked, she was asking a lot of questions. She passed 40 last year, so I think maybe she is just feeling her age. She has always been super active and she teaches Zumba classes. I told her to take life a little easier - she has always been an over-achiever.
well, pushing yourself beyond your limits is something often seen in FM patients. I hope it is just age but she might be experiencing legitimate symptoms.
ain't that the truth Sprite....* looks at ceiling * like what you've done up there... lol
*whistles a little tune and looks innocently at the ceiling too* Nope, no idea what you mean.
* giggle *
fireflies. What a joy, this grid.
Oh yeah, I hear you. I wish she would call me more often. I always seem to call when she's too busy to talk. It bummed me out she never asked the outcome the the second skin biopsy.
WTG, Sprite!
WTG SPRITE !!!
that hurts, Kam. Maybe you really need to talk about that with her.
*hugs* to you both. Have a blessed day and a peaceful night!
You too!
i feel your hurt Kam. ditto for me with my three boys. it's like i'm not a part of their family at all.
* hugs * darling sprite
I just found an ir5 that describes how she makes me feel sometimes.
i have to stand back and second, third, or even fourth place in their lives. they have no idea what i am living with, and what i go through on a daily basis.
ahem.. that is... TAKE second, third etc
Hi dear Babblers. Just chiming in here about FM...I was diagnosed with that after my 50th and the doctors treated it and me like, well you know. Talked about lifelong meds, hormone replacement and therapists. I had three young kids and a house to run and I did not have time for all the appointments let alone the treatments they were talking about . I cut out suger, coffee, I started walking...a LOT, moving with the kids at play in the garden more, started drinking green tea and rooibus tea about 6 times a day, prayed more, got sufficient sleep and low and behold, it went away. Maybe I was misdiagnosed, but I feel like I scared it away.
I know, Rose. It hurts. We haven't gotten on so well since she didn't show up for my wedding to Michael in 2011.
but the other day i was thinking very deeply about their attitudes. and i am GLAD that they are so busy taking care of their families.
marmar, research shows it comes and goes. sorry to be the harbinger of bad news. FM is triggered by high stress events. my last event was post-op revision total knee replacement.
Mar, FM is a weird thing. I wish I could exercise it away, but it's hitting me harder as I get older. Of course, I think my age is slowing me down too. FM isn't the only thing I'm dealing with. Add on chronic fatigue and skeletal problems and I can't get too much done each day. Losing my hubby hit me like a brick.
* gently hugs * Kam
yes, it's probably different for each person. That was 15 years ago and so far so good. During that phase of life I also did some cleanses, the Master cleanse, which I loved, a few years later I did 6 months of Anthony 'Williams' celery juice protocols and that too was wonderful. I backslid back into some less healthy habits but I can certainly recommend both of those things to anyone. Sorry for your loss Kam
Thanks, Mar. I've read about celery juice, but I never figured out how to make it. It's not sold here.
Kam, I am a huge fan. I bought a juicer for it. The pre-juiced celery often comes with added ingredients and/or is pasturized. It should be fresh and pure. I truely loved that. i am mentally trying to prepare to do it again. Everything felt better when I was on it and my hair grew like crazy! If you want to know more, Anthony William is kind of the original instigator of it. I heard about while listening to Louise Hay recordings. (I just love her!)
Thanks for the info. I'll look into it. My hair is so thin that my scalp shows. I hate it.
Kam, actaully, my recent hair thinning is my motivation to start it up again :) I have always had a nice thick mane and I mostly have had it pretty long. It was my trademark! And the last couple years, it has been slowly thinning....I am very hopeful it will help regain its thickness.

OH NOOOOO, sorry! It's been ages since I participated in the chat!
just an aside here. my mother, god rest her soul, in the latter days of her life began using a men's shampoo called Regain. what she didn't realise it was a colour restoring shampoo. and she thought her hair was regaining it's natural colour even though she was in her 80's.
Funny, I just saw an ad for that brand but as a formula for women.
My mom would get her scalp colored. My aunt wore a wig for about her last 25 years. She lived to be over 100! The women in my family just don't have nice hair.
my hair dresser calls my hair a wooly fleece. when i am due for a trim, i really do like a dandelion gone to seed.
(((me quickly looking up Regaine on Amazon.de)))
What hair I have is long and curly. I have wisps growing back, so it's hard to keep tidy. A bun is the daily style.
Love the bun!!!
i'm a wash and run lady. just wash the hair, run a comb through it, and go. never had the patience for curlers, hair-dryers etc, when it was waist-length up into a pony tail, using a few combs and clips i would turn it into rather large bun.
That's more my style Grannyrose, I have a bit of a wave, not much but if air dry it for a bit then use the hairdryer nad scrunch it a bit, it looks ok. Like long beach waves.
time for me to leave. enjoy this lovely grid. the biggies are reasonably easy to find. xx
G'day, Rose! It's time for me to head to bed soon. I want to find a few more words and then get some good rest.
il
why can't you ad AL to the end of the cr8/45? it's a word!
Enable is a weird, old, dictionary.

howdy folks
waves to hokie
Welcome back.
ruru! bea!
is the L really tricky? still need 5
which L?
phantom lanolin
the big one near the bottom
I'm missing 10 from that one
well I still need 2 from the other so I wouldn't call it easy
I'm a bit stuck at 38 left
and have found some weird ones
hello all...
i have them all now hokie.. mostly normal words
hi pen
hi ru...
Morning, pen and ru.
hi Bea...
missing one c and can't finish that tile yet
still need 4 c's
pen!
carla!
wishful thinking I guess...just for a moment saw cilantro
there's another cooking item in the g's hokie
yes, I found that one last night but it took me a while. still need 4 g's too.
oh thought it might have gone right pasta
you don't mince words
yeah and I'm not a dim bulb
oh, I remember my missing P is PE8 but I can't find. is this a regular word?
No
spare a clue, P&TY?
having feathers
it's a normal word
hmm, a clue that might help?
having feathers is a clue
hmm, molly says not regular, ruru says it is. who do I believe...
you'll have to wing it from there
That is not what the definition says
yes, I realized it was a clue but that's why I asked for one that might help
could be oceanic too
but thanks for trying🤣
hairy would be more of a clue...
That is what I thought Pen
it's an adjective....
okay, have been trying one adj ending, maybe it's the other
it's the longer adjective ending....
the word flows kind of diagonally....hard to clue...
hmm, was thinking -ic or -al so neither of those is longer
the latter with a vowe before it...
Okay, this dictionary gives the hairy definition and other dictionaries only give the ocean one. Weird.
And it is NOT a normal word.
starts like the company that sells windows and doors...
thought it would relate to birds like sheerwaters, murres and such but it's more ocean / sea related my mistake
at least it sounds like that company....
it actually sounds like a sexual position for people who do pilates
there is the related word...pe 7....
both end like adjectives...
thanks, pen. I actually called the 7 last night so apparently just needed to know they were related to find it.
yw...
phantom cretin
there are cretins who flow through here from time to time so it's never a phantom for me
how about the in8? normal or not?
ha, very normal
Still have two 8's
I just need 1 but need 4 7s
i am missing two 8s...
I think the P is the only weird one
though one is a plural of an adj so you might not have tried it
found that one...ty....
np
I found la8
i am still missing one 8....
interesting. which L does it originate?
from which
bottom l
the bottom L has no A to go with it...
hmm, normal or not?
normal plural
duh
I peri'd it. saw as soon as I asked.
the bottom L has 2 A's next to it, pen!
no, there is an L in the bottom row...
oh...just noticed that there are no words for that one....duh....
yeah, but that doesn't count since it has 0 words
I didn't count that as it is 0/0
are there two LA 8 words?....
nm....found the li 8....
gotta get a move on here. need to go to the recycle center. 24 for later. 2-8-11-3
kust one
the other is Li8
just
SS EE L AAA E TTT GG RR AAA i CCC L
done with my 8s....
And that greys my 8's. Thanks, Carla.
morning all
hi mool...
well i am taking a break....leaving 59 for later...bye all....
40 left...The rest will wait until this afternoon.
namaste then
Namaste means the yoga class is over
No more dogging down
hey pen, sorry got pulled away there
it's actually means "bowing down to the divine in you" but it's kind of used loosely around these parts.
kind of like toodle Pips and BBL and such
And I doubt it's meant like that
beats me how it is meant..
It's kind of like that "bless your heart" thing in the south
bless your heart and have a piece of pie?
And a co-cola
yoga class is over is a bit of a stretch really
It's a little round the bend
phantom: lanolin
hi all. help with in8 please
in8 = to make bigger
hmm looking
ty found it
phantom: ingrate
The peace within me recognizes the peace within you.
namaste

It is hotter here...
but you'll probably get snow tomorrow
95 at the moment
how humid?
nah, not at least until September, and probably not until October :)
17% :)
I would take 95 with that low humidity all day
do you have both i's on the right?
ye
yes even
just need a t to grey that column
I need 3 t's and 1 i if you care to guess the i. or I'll just tell you I have il4.
well I am the font of knowledge
you're looking for i6
regular word
thought that was a clue and was wondering how it could be INFO
I try not to let a clueing opportunity pass me by :)
Bet it's the it6/21.
I know. now I'm trying to figure out what that could be.
I have 2-8-11-3
9-8-9-2-1
hey champ, thanks for the 2nd letter. ah, now I see it! thx both.

need an L from each
I need 1 from the top, 3 from the bottom
ah, 2 from the bottom L now
well, ruru assures me they're all regular, but that means nothing to me. well, it means you should find them, moo
hah
yes, ru's definitions of easy do not typically align with mine
you know how you can have sealions, what about airlions?
Into the PB with you moo!!!!!!!!!! :)
I ate the PB
I still need 3 A's from each
HA!!!!!!!!! with jelly?

I don't do PB with sweet
airloan - what you get to buy a plane
true true
and I meant 3 A;s from each not incl. the bottom because I have that one gray.
oh, I need one from that bottom one
oh, found an upper one
now I greyed it
just hadn't paid attention to it
doh, there's an A I always miss. but I like it.
I know which one you mean!
so now need 2 from each
:D
still 3 each here
I think I know which one you mean
it's the mayo!

GAHHH! I have 6 now that you made me look....
I need to look at other tiles, got tile blind :)
but I already looked for them once
I think I am whole grid blind now. played last night and this morning.

*imagines artist using the ea and chuckles*
no, have that one
I call bullcrap on the ci7, btw
unless you speak french
then it makes sense
I'm not up on my protozoans enough to call bullcrap
unless there is another ci7
oh, there are 2
at least...could be 3...but I doubt it
I only have 1....oopsie!
so now I need a bs one then
I suspect you each have one different
oh yes, we've had that before
The one i have is ci7/40
now just one C left
the other is ci7/32
you need the ci7/32
Thx
thought crait was a snake but turns out that's krait and crait is a SW planet

Ah...I take it back... ;)

3-5-4-1
I need it too!
yeah, probably need to go a different route
any not so subtle clue?
