Clues are up
thanks so much, Lickety. Morning babblers.
Hi sprite
hi sprite
hi Foxy! *hugs* and also for Kiwi of course
hi broll!
hi honey. i'm home !!
welcome home, darling! How is it going today?
* hugs * sprite. and * hugs * foxy
fantastic. no pain in upper back. have been to gym. leg issues settled right down after a great night's sleep.
that is amazing news!
hey broll. nice to see you too honey.
how's Juno doing Sprite?
in the process of getting an electric wheelchair.
and of course i also would like to hear how you are traveling my dearest.
oh wow! that will be life changing for her. so pleased to read that.
I managed a walk with Nero yesterday without falling. BPPD seems to be easing off
about flipping time. darn BPPD.
amen, sistah
and how's Rob?
not great. Still very low on energy, and often gouty. Knees are hell too. I think, once we manage to get a definitive home, he should start the whole knee replacement process.
is his fluid intake adequate? i find if i'm getting low, that's when my gout plays up the most.
yes, he is doing great with that, drinking lots of water
if he is reluctant to take magnesium for his knees, there is a magnesium spray available.
I think his knees are bone-on-bone pain. Don't think the magnesium will help with that.
oh, and omega-3. i take 1500mg twice/day with good effect. and very gentle seated exercises, like lifting a straight leg, then bending at the knee, and straighten again.
oh it does. it kept me going for another 12 months while i waited for my long service to accrue enough so i could have the surgery, and recover.
okay, will pass it on, won't hurt to try it
do you have access to Painaway cream and or spray? if not, let me know, i will send some over. brilliant herbal compound which helps with inflammation, and bone pain.
let me check
no, that is not available here, alas
okay. will send some over for him. not a problem.
that is wonderful. Let me know the costs and I will pay them
grannyrose -- is that Painaway cream the actual name of it? It sounds like our Voltaren, which is diclofenac topical gel. It's the only topical I've ever found that does anything. I slather it across my knuckles nightly.
i'll send both as sometimes it is too painful to rub the cream in. use the spray, then when it kicks in, rub the cream in.
hi jeanne, I looked at that but that is not herbal
will pass it all on, rose, thanks so much
Jeanne, it's a herbal cream, no medication in it like voltaren has.
Oh, aha! I jumped in the convo late (as usual!) ... That would be even so much better! But I see it online, so I will look at ingredients. Many thanks!
thanks for jumping in, jeanne!
Jeanne people with cardiac issues are not allowed to use medicines for antiflammatory conditions. which is why i went the herbal route.
*oops* I've had two MIs...
Thanks, Doctor.
good that you joined in then. and lol... ex nurse with lots of pharmaceutical back ground.
I will bring that up at next appt. My hear issues were 20 years ago, and so many docs since then, and I don't think they really read beyond the last few pages back, if ya know what I mean.
our babble community is so knowledgeable. I remember me telling a babbler that you cannot combine certain antidepressants with taking Sint John's Wort. She had herself checked and turned out to have dangerously high levels.
i certainly do Jeanne. and it can be so frustrating.
oh I know what you mean! Too much work to read a full history...
I remember that Sprite. it was a good call on your part.
At my age, it's longer than War and Peace.
roflol
ROFLOL i think i'm up to volume 6
but a much better read
!!!!!!! Too funny !!!!!
jeanne many moons ago i started to compile my medical and surgical history. also my medications, and allergies with the type of reactions. it is all on my laptop. i go in and update whenever something has changed, or been added. then print it out and keep a copy in my handbag. if anything happens to me all the info the medics need is right there.
that is a smart move
Don knows it's there, as do friends and family.
I did make copies of all my records from my 20 years military service, but I need to get the post-retirement stuff together. And that's coming up to 30 years past. Sigh.
quite a big job, but worth it, I think
I'm mostly a lurker here, but I always enjoy the conversations and camaraderie that exists in this space...I've played this game since 2007, I think.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, my dears, and Happy Babbling!
it was lovely to hear from you, jeanne!
oh my, rose... I have been at this game for 20 years!
shhhh, i won't tell anyone..... they all think you are a smart 30-something. lol
bye Jeanne.
*giggles* I am sure they will buy the 30-something part. But smart... nah LOL
fireflies. Short but sweet.
TTFN!
* gulp * and i've been here 17 years... that means we have been friends for..... * mumbles into wi4 *
WTG SPRITE !!
very good friends! I fe4 so blessed that we got to meet and spend lots of time together.
ditto... * giggle *
well... that is me for today. *hugs* my darling. Enjoy your painfree bodyparts. Bye all, have a blessed day and a peaceful night.
* hugs * dearesr girl. love you. xoxox

found an F!
f'n great!
my friend told me she uses this bird app in her yard called merlin bird or something that listens and tells you what the birds are singing. will have to get that when I get back on better signal.
yeah, my daughter uses that too
merlin's a wonderful app - only pain is downloading all the maps for the geographical areas you want to monitor. try downloading the app and just the map for where you are - shouldn't take too long
the identification process can be a little frustrating at times too
true, but the birdsong to bird id is pretty nifty
yeah, I haven't used that part of it at all
\
2-1-1-0-0-1
hokie, i sent you a sample recording from the app. check it out when you can.
there'd have been absolutely no way i could have known what bird was making that call. *indebted to merlin for lifers*
thanks

can i get a clue for the 2nd FE6 pls?
It’s (alledgedly) a vegetable Shirlokc. Fe, double cons, vowel & cons. For the life of me I can’t think of any thing that rhymes with it.
It's also used as a spice :)
Actually. Rhymes whit a dog’s house!
Perfect clue, soodle.
😊
i got that fe6, i think then I need the other fe6
which i now figured out
i should have seen that one given how i'm a cat lady (the kind with no children)
In Tom & Jerry, not Jerry?
I think fe6 is used more as a spice or herb than a vegetable
😊fenner

other FE is 'catlike'
