hello all
good morning
how's it going?
busy work week, lots to do for end of project stuff
you?
trying to get together the energy to arrange things a little better to make packing the truck tomorrow easier.
you have more people coming over to assist I assume
had a bad neck pain headache all night
Ron will be here for sure
last time we had 3 helpers, which was too much. they went for pack quick instead of pack full.
I swear, Lindy has been moving for 2 months.
sure feels like it! but not quite a month yet.
I did start packing stuff in January, though.
we were supposed to make a trip last week, but I had covid instead.
Molly, feels the same way to me lol
it would have gone a lot faster if I had more help to pack things.
but I didn't, so, it takes as long as it takes.
Hard to recruit free movers
we offered to pay, but no takers.
Why not just hire a moving company?
they are really expensive. we are making 3 trips with a budget truck for less than a moving company costs.
we finally worked out a deal with a neighbor to buy this house, and set a date to sign papers, so that is a huge relief.
woohoo! I was hoping that would work out but I know they were having issues with HELOC
so, I got an oil change yesterday at a farm and fleet store and was left to wander the store unsupervised for nearly an hour. I came home with some new things
the cats are very happy now :D
I picked up two of those squishmallow beds, and they are a weird kind of neutral zone for the cats who otherwise don't share well. (Except for Nova bc she's a bit of a bed-bully)
nobody likes a bed bully
But some like a Wooly Bully
I was never sure what that is? kind of before my time :D
about a cat wasn't it?
Two big horns and a wooly jaw. Not a cat. And 1964 wasn't exactly before your time.
I have no idea what either of you are talking about it haha
I always heard it was about the singer's cat
Mael, it WAS before your time
I was doing drugs in the sixties molly I don't remember much :D
You must be older than I thought. I wasn't old enough to be doing drugs in the sixties.
On another note, it is amazing and heartwarming to read about all the volunteers helping to assist damaged areas in Western North Carolina. Even private helicopter pilots are donating their time to fly in supplies and medication.
I started young .. not quite 1964.. but certainly 1967 and 1968
I was barely ten in 67 and 68. Too young for drugs.
I also lived near SF and all the hippies.. it was a new culture
Add that to very little parental supervision and I totally get it
what's parental supervision?
we were on our own from an early age. nearly feral
easy grid today again
I'm liking this new trend in babble
oh damn I killed the chat again
I was living in Hawaii as a teenager in 67-68. It was a different culture, different time for sure.
Only chiming in because the codependent part of me insists on reassuring ru that he didn't kill the chat. LOLOLOL!
good morning everyone :)
morning, nan.
Hi nan

not finding this as easy as ru seems to think it is
hi nan hi ori
yw. Now that you have other people to play with, I'm leaving to get more coffee. lolol!
The Yiddish word is mensch
I'm done.. just watching people work on the grid
easy day for me today... just a few local deliveries and then an appt with a client.
got at least one from every tile except the lone n -- off for breakfast nw
found the n
new acronym OFET
(don't tell hokie.. she has too many of them already)
wow mensch is accepted by enable
hidey hodey
gm mool
hey ru, you off again
?
no.. working a bit today.. but an easy day.. I'm only working part time nowadays.. really cutting back.
nice
yeah.. thanks... it's about time for me to slow down
I'd like to slow down, but not sure it would be good for my mental health yet
I cant gety the F word for the F middle of the grid. Any help welcome. Ty.
currency that is no longer used, but sound mostly like the place it was from
well they do use it in a neighboring country
Rain rain rain.
Ty for the clue moo. Got it now.
yw
How about the N word for first column N word?
well vets would know this word :)
or if you watched a certain game show when the host was alive :)
Vets as in vets from war or vets for animals?
the latter
Ty. So vets would know this word. Does that mean it is an animal?
it's kind of a balls to the wall kind of word MKG
no, might be something vets do tho
you need to cut it out ru
Huh? Dont know what that means ruru. Sorry.
you said that with a certain amount of castration
Ok. Now i got the word. Ty.
Neuterer
Ooops osrry
Sorry
oh nuts
Ok i am not going to chat anymore now. Sorry to all of you
oh don't worry about it mkg
well you had us groin there for a minute Mkg
Oh nuts, there Ru goes again
God what a sad week. Kris Kristofferson, Pete Rose, Maggie Smith.
hi folks, help with lower E in right column please
and lower corner i too please
we are at an age where past idols are blowing in the wind ... it's a reminder of mortality
found the corner i
found the em5 too
The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind...you're old, and everyone around you is dying. How cheery.
Okay, apparently John Amos died in August but it was just announced today. An even sadder week.
Aww man
Bummer.
Upside, Jimmy Carter became our first centenarian ex-president today.
And on the brighter side, Kobain's daughter had a baby.
Thanks, mkg, you gave me my last word for nbt
Sorry, Cobain.
carters inaugeration was a very cold windy day in DC ... we were on penn ave awhile, than slipped into a bar to warm up ... i guess eating peanut butter has something to do with it
nice, wingding
dc, do you do inaugerations ??? ronnies was probably the best i was at
I went to Clinton's.
i moved shortly after ronnies ... i missed clintons .. was it a good time ?
Calling BS on a CA.
If you look up ca8 it means something similar to a word ending with N/past tense. As in the car ca8 across the road and landed in a ditch.
Okay. But, still stupid.
namaste
rehi anyone still out there
i am
here
just arrived
name that proper noun! nutter and father of psychology
found an 8!
gosh what can come from that center F
aHA got it
Clue pls for the last re 7
how many are there? i have 3
There are 3 7s but I’m missing the last one
ok well it is a past tense
if someone claims something, and you cite facts that prove they are wrong, you have re7 their claim
you can end that differently to get another re7 (there are 4, actually, including one that extends to an 8)
oh thanks gillie
so that's the actual last one
Clue pls for the te 6
it sounds like you got really lucky playing blackjack
Ok Hershey don’t help me never played blakjack
