Nancy some history of our name....Queen Victoria, after whom the State of Victoria is named, decided that it would be named Melbourne. This was as an honour for the 2nd Viscount Melbourne, British Prime Minister and the political mentor to the young Queen.
lyn, I have watched several tv movies and stories about Queen Victoria and remember mention of Viscount Melbourne. Perhaps because I have the same birthday as Victoria May 24th. and I was fascinated by her lifes story.
Victoria and Albert were quite the story.

he came to our campsite fri night and then yesterday we went and tailgated for the game but then left when everyone else went to the game. came back here and watched football on tv. then met back up with everyone downtown after the game.

I did a walkabout my yard Friday evening. Insect geek me found a chrysalis that I'm trying to ID. Also found a green lynx spider guardiing her egg sac and emerging spiderlings. Then I found a native mantis.
I got homecoming pictures from my great niece last night. How is it that all high school girls today are a size 2?

The Asian are usually green while the native are brownish grey. Asian wings are as long as their bodies while the native's wings are shorter.
I have only seen the green ones.
The natives are hard to see because of their coloring.
