we finally saw the comet last night
oh nice, haven't had the chance unfortunately...my in-laws have moved out here (arrived yesterday) and on top of that we've still got two rooms to refloor and another to finish painting...and work of course :)
we were at a nice western facing spot all week but didn't realize there was a mountain obstructing it. last night we went to a different spot and it took a long time but I finally saw it and then confirmed with binoculars
I took a pic of venus and arcturus to prove I was looking in the right spot and when I got home and looked in the pics found it in there

we talked about going to the Sassafras Mt Observation Tower (highest point in SC) which has 360 degree views but couldn't find out if it and/or the roads to it were open. Also not too far from Mt. Mitchell, but I know we can't get to that one either.
and BTW, there are still people with no power, water, houses, and we already had a snow in the higher elevations.

this is a case of me not knowing which word took of all the ones I'm trying. all the middle A words are regular words. was probably a plural or pt that I thought I had but retyped anyway.
