I see nothing in the chat log yet...haven't been able to get into Babble until just now. Did anyone else have trouble loading? I only started trying at flip, and it took 42 minutes until I could get in.
it was down from before the flip
me too
I had a problem also.
same, just connected
I emailed him about half hour ago to tell him something was not working.
Thanks, folks. I'm rural, and I thought something could be wrong on my end...although I was on other sites.
sounds like dart's the hero here
ch7
His email can be found at bottom of page if you click where it says "send them". I just added to my contacts so that I don't need to be on this page to do it.
Down to 22 quickly but having trouble now
ec7, similar to an en7 we had recently that was uncommon
I'm doomed. down to 16 left, but only four 4-letter words.
Does anyone have stats, please for the A in the fourth row, third column?
az5?
and two similar ones
I'll try! Thank you!
Found two of them anyway - thanks!
one's a plural az6
Ah HAH - thank you
Thank you gremlinn!!!
Clues are up
oh, duh, I somehow missed that that en7 similar to the ec7 is also in this one
anyone have the stats on the 7s other than the ch7?
Clues are up
Well timed query on my part...again, thank you, gremlinn!
not seeing Lickety's page refreshed but just 2 more so I can put clues in my profile if I can find them in 10 minutes
got them
yeah i think tbere is a cache issue due to the precious run. if i open from a ither bro ser it works ok
thanks for the sevens gremlinn!
got 'em, and down to 10 left. still have four pesky 4-letter words.
ah, now it's refreshed, but just when I finished making my own list, so I just finished off my profile update anyway
thanks lickety and gremlinn
I can't get the page to refresh
thank you gremlinn for your list
thanks gremlinn, for your list
hyte
sorry. and now you know why i don't chat until i have finished
morning babblers
morning my lovely friend. how are you traveling this morning?
hi sweetie *hugs* A little better, I slept some. Still cramping though. No idea what brought it on. Still, a quiet day today, Rob is off all day, I asked Caya to walk the dogs this afternoon, so only one walk left for me to do.
well done you. and well done Rob and Caya for stepping up to the mark.
i managed today with minimal discomfort. paced myself. only thing left is the fresh linen onto the bed.
he is going to tear down the cupboards in the container, and to get rid of the garbage. So after today, the container will be really empty.
well done, darling
wow! so does the container now go back to where you got it? or is it yours?
it is ours and it is old and leaky and rusty. We were preparing to pay for having it removed. But.... the canoe club said they want to have it to store canoes in during the renovation of the facility. Lol. We said FINE! No argument from us. Donating it gladly. They can have it removed once they are done with it.
great solution.
yeah, we told them it was not much of a container, but they don't care. So win-win
i'll get Don to take a pic of my nails. my manicurist has done such a lovely job. will send it through whatsapp.
lovely, please do
well now, that was interesting. Red boxes of doom and all my posts disappeared.
as I was trying to say: she is ready for Xmas!
and again
yup, my posts are disappearing. some serious goblins in the works in babbleland,
ah, at least it is not just me then
looks like we are back in business
for now!! and i am not a cynic...lol
lol
fireflies
*hugs* my dear friend. Have a lovely night.
hi all. clue for fifth column o please.
Bummed that once again it was a quickie grid! Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Hint: Beware the E's. 2 are biology words.
ot
hello all
e
You gotta love this place. People are compelled to blurt clue the hard ones.
morning all! bottom row done
and left column :-)
Ty for the en and ec 7's
And good morning, Dan, Lindy, et al.
hi, how's it going?
thanks for the Es too
Not too bad, Lindy. Living the retirement dream.
...and the "honey-do" list nightmare.
3 left, all az. interesting.d
my husband is recently retired, and we moved to a new home... lots to do here, too.
I think she is making it her retirement goal to make sure I never sit down for any longer than ten minutes at a time.
Found two of the three az words by fishing.
got them, finally.
Both five letter words on is chemistry term an means lifeless, the other is another word for mercury.
have a good day, everyone
What is the stat for the third one, Lindy?
Tc
I was missing the plural, going the wrong way
FW!
Yaaa!
Nm found it
I didn't realize you were old enough to retire.
Yup. Taking my C.P.P and scaling back a bit.
Still trying to get used to th store "senior" discounts.
We actually have a weed store that gives a 10% discount if you are 60 or older.
Which is good, because THC is better for many things and in many cases can replace opiate-based medications.
anyone have the en7?
ec-----
ec7 please?
Ec 7/52
clue please?
the ec7 and the en7 both end the same
thank you.
ec7...animal parasite
Both end using high point tile proto***
discounts on thc? the world is going to pot these days
Lol. We get the capsules. Lung cannot take smoking the stuff.
lol ruru.thank you all for clues
Then there are the edible oils--which is for ne as long as you don't have any plans for the rest of the day.
Fine*
All government run and controlled. The tax coffers must be nice and full.
So, in essence weed sales help pay for our universal healthcare. :)
Also every citizen eighteen years of age and older can legally grow up to six plants for "personal use.
It's why we are so friendly, eh?
morning all. help with O in right column please
nm
Massachusetts is glutted with dispensaries. I am a Harm reduction person, but I think the voters had their say before the science was in. What is being sold now is much more potent than decades ago. Opioid medication properly prescribed is effective for post-op pain etc, but everyone is squeamish about it. Opioids alone are not harmful; it's what it's cut with. i.e. fentanyl that make it lethal.
Ahh, the classic "pulling a Peri." :)
:)
bbl
The harm with opiates lies elsewhere. First, it is addictive as hell, the second is is bungs you up so bad you poop just like Scrabby s rabbits do.
Whereas THC is defined as habitual--not addictive. Suddenly stopping THC after a year versus suddenly stopping opiate meds after a year is two different kettle of fish.
Some stats for the T in the fourth column, please.
Nm found them
Believe in or not there is a century of research on moderate or occasional opiate users. It is not inherently addictive. Once one is addicted, withdrawal can be intense but will not kill you. Withdrawal from benzodiazepines (like Xanax) and alcohol CAN kill you, or at least cause seizures.
There were always weekend warriors who used heroin together on weekends, like in the 70s with fondue, and go to work on Monday. It will not addict you in and of itself.
Some people go to detox for a "spin-dry" if they feel themselves getting too addicted, then go back to moderate use at a lower dose.
Well, I will still pass on shooting heroin, I believe.
I wrote a dissertation on this in the early 2000s
No need to shoot any thing.
Or smoke it, or eat it.
Or snort it
We will have to agree to disagree on addiction.
good morning, folks. I just found the en7 all by myself. I actually remembered a new word! ðŸª
Once you have buried a friend who killed himself with oxys, it tends to give one a new perspective on it all. He took a "spin dry" as you say, lost his tolerance, then "slipped" and killed himself by taking his old dose level one last time.
Howdy, Carla.
sounds like I don't want to read back, hey crossy
Just chatting about what constitutes "addictive."
Nothing big. Just two different points of view.
holy cow, just grayed both T's on first look. this never happens!
Yaa!
but of course need one F to gray the row
The 7's are tough, Carla, but I clued two of them earlier.
are you suggesting my missing F is a 7?
I an still missing the third one
Ec and en 7
ok ,EN is the one I found
The ec is similar
and now the ec
same wavelength 😜
Yuppers. :)
If you get the third one I would love a stat.
will do
Puppies need to tiddle. Brb.
Third 7 is ch
hmm. hi bea!
Ch7 36
well that was easy
I'm sure I would've gotten it when I got to that row. 😜
well, 12 left and NBT, but not HOET. gotta get moving. 3-6-3 H F SSSSS CC AA A
Crosshair, these are the segment os users who can't moderate. I too have been to many funerals. In fact, just two weeks ago. These are the people who need longterm care, and need to be warned that after a period of abstinence their tolerance will go down. Many clients that I have seen in methadone treatment and other programs went down this way. The moderate users are rare, and have certain strengths that the compulsive users don't have. So we actually really do agree. I'm just saying there has been a hidden population of users who aren't seen. High functioning and able to moderate. It's often the trauma and underlying sense of self-worth that gets them-or the particular friend group they are with and their self esteem.
just found 4 S's on my way out. 8 left! peace out.
Ty for an interesting conversation, Kaplan. :)
Tc, Carla
NBT/ NBS/HOET. :)
But still 41 to find. :(
Boy, I seem to have been missing the obvious ones. 35 to go.
14 left
5
fw. does anyone need a clue?
poof
Namaste
Howdy, Bzz Bea.
soft
well since my entitled cat bit me last night for not giving him my FULL attention while petting him, it got all swollen and pink so i went to the doc and i have got antibiotics
oops. But you already have that.
Give me one I can use, Kaplan. :)
Your cat bit you?
yes, he is a weird jerk on occasion
Bad kitty.
<-- not this one, she is the angel
Apparentlyl
I'm sure she has teeth too
she does, but she is Good.
like one time she tentatively started to chew on my computer cord. i gently said "no no Rilly" and she immediately stepped back primly and looked at me like "oh i'm sorry, i didn't know that was wrong! i wouldn't have done it if i knew!" and never tried it again since.
We had a cat that used to do that. Had to go to store and get some lengths of wire sheathing for the computer.
I would be nervous having a cat who bites when it doesn't get enough attention.
morning all
Howdy, moolingwa. :)
mooo
rehi, crossy, et al
hey hair....hoke!
ooh, found a word! 7 left
I see that 7 is back again
yes, I found it all on my own today. you can teach an old dog new words
102 left
Two of the sevens are similar--still hunting for the third one.
the third one is a real word, crossy. ch
you must've missed bea's stat earlier
6 now. missed the 6 with the 7
1-4-1
F S C AA A
15 left
found my bottom A
and my C
4-7-2-1
found my other 2 A's
now S F
remembered the F, now just S
Ty for that ch7, Carla. 😀
I know I promised you the stat but forgot you left when bea arrived
Had to go hook up my beloved with a hot mug of tea and a blankie.
how sweet
It is the small things that bind.
A walk in the woods, a new book to read by the fire, a hot water bottle at the ready, a rose for no particular reason, hugs that are over twenty seconds long.
down to 9
still one
Yaa for mooo!
I even have an S5 that I always miss, so what am I missing?
Which one you hunting for, Carla?
S5
you don't have to try to guess
1-6-2
because there are quite a few S5s
I am still missing too many s words to be of much help.
S was my biggest problem after first pass and then I found like 4. they're not really hard, just hard to see I reckon.
Just found an odd one though--an st plus three vowels
I have 1 S left
S's solved
super
now anyone can guess my missing one
6 to go E T F O C A
I love that: "They are not hard--just hard to see." I may have to use that. :)
found my F
Found my A
still looking for s5 hoke?
found my o
found my c
and my e
really nice to come down in the morning and find cat puke on two couches, the rug and the laptop
ha...... I don't miss those days
That is so gross.
Hello everyone -- did anyone else have a problem logging into the game last night?
apparently so.. the two midnight love birds were having all kinds of connection issues
👩â€â¤ï¸â€ðŸ‘© Midnight love birds 😊
kaplan, i got up at 4am, after bathroom break, wandered to freezer to have a couple of spoonfuls of ice cream ,,, nice and calming, i stepped in dog bile in the hallway ... now i'm really awake ..
another good reason why my cat is in her own room with the door closed at night.
Anybody found my S5?
Any SZ words?
I swear I have tried every combo of 4 after the S
hokie, how many s5's do you have now?
All but one 😛
6
okay, then it's unlikely that I have your missing one.
Will look at the list when I get home later
See, Nan makes so much sense. Keep the animal in one room and any whoops they have overnight is not going to be in your path. Well done Nan.
ah, I know what you are missing ... sc5
Well, looked now and know what to look for
Actually it’s sa5
Oh, I have that one.
Geez, finally. Tada.
Tada!
congrats....just arriving...
new hot water tank installed -- quite a production getting them up and down through the hatch to the mechanical room.
there are days when I wish I could ask the architect for these places just what he was thinking --- certain it wasn't a woman who had to clean the place!
Done
nan, not sure what prices are, but, hot water heater prices have gone through the roof lately .. they used to be $600 at the most
more than double that by the time you get all permits, inspections and add on the gst
hagd everyone :)
i skip the permit/inspection part, i do it myself ... the township makes enough off of me w/ taxes already .. how many gallons did you get ? they have a neat little gas unit .. rainni .. instant on, no boiler / tank
i need one of the E words, weirdly i found en7/48
ec7/2
ec7/52
ohh, well, silly me
Not really. It's not exactly a normal word.
so what happened to the stats from yesterday. I see the chat but no totals. rankings not updated either?
What? You need to refresh your browser.
fireworks!!
i did refresh three times
You are right about the word list from yesterday in the archives. There are no totals. I would suggest contacting Dr. God. dr.god@playbabble.com
well it's a LITTLE silly since it's just the opposite of the one i had found
and Molly, i totally understand that you would be nervous having a cat who bites sometimes. i mean, i certainly do not like the fact that he sometimes does this, and if i can ever find a way to convince him to change i certainly will. but otherwise there's not much i can do. i'm not going to foist him off on someone else or put him to sleep - it's not bad enough that he deserves that. especially since he has a lot of good qualities the rest of the time too.
cats are like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get...
is there an A6 in the grid?
hoiar
sorry
there is an AZ in the grid...don't have it....just listed...
more than one az and i havenone.
yes...az 5/2....
good luck pen.
ty...
anyone have EN 7?...
i should have said there is AZ 5x2...and the AZ 6 is a pl...
have not had any success with reaching dr. god about no stats for dec 10th perhaps someone else will get to him. rankings and archives were not updated for nov. 10th
well perhaps he is busy...
i am done....anyone need anything before I go?
guess not...goodnight all....
Hmmmm...
again??
I hope all is well with him.
amen sister
how are you Jeanne?
Doing well! Actually had a tiny nap...it's midnight here.
And you?
busy, busy, busy. looking forward to Saturday when nothing is scheduled.
My computer clock is not quite as in sync with the chat log clock as it usually is.
I agree. I like nothing more than a day for just me and my sewing machine!
have been flat out like a lizard drinking water here. my usual one task/day bit the dust.
LOL! Great imagery!
hopefully that will be me after New Year's Day.
i have so much mending and alterations to do. * sigh *.
I tend to get many projects started...then try to complete as many as possible within one or two days. Nuts, and no reason for it. Just a crazy mind, I guess.
at least you start them.. lol...
Oh, those things? Nah. Then I suddenly have no skills....alas, not true. Everyone asks, and I comply. I just look at it as training for the fun stuff.
I'm GREAT at starting things. But then the perfectionism kicks in. At least what I do finish looks pretty spiffy.
did you see that i am already back to my full physio program? only six weeks post first fight with covid. still a little lacking in energy at times. but breathing has improved so i don't think i will need a respiratory specialist.
I'm going to play the helpless idiot here, but has anyone emailed to find out what is wrong tonight?
not that i know of Jeanne. will shoot one off to Dr God now.
That is awesome news! Covid is a real butt-kicker, it seems. Knock wood, but hubby and I, neither one, seem to have ever been stricken. But it's good to see that after a bad case, recovery can be had. Keep up the great work.
this mutation starts off like really bad hayfever. so i didn't think about testing until late on day 4.
Ugh. I took my first ever test two months ago. It was just a garden-variety cold. But I was about to visit my step-mom (90), and I didn't want to risk her getting ill.
and seems like every mutation is different.
we were invited to a super spreader event. a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. 360 people were there. i am so thankful i have had every vax when it was offered. i don't think i would be here otherwise.
Us as well. Every jab, every time.
People don't think about it anymore, but it's still killing an inordinate number of people, in addition to the usual number of flu and other respiratory deaths.
and hubby tested positive the day after. he's a chronic asthmatic. i thought i was going to have to call for an ambulance at one stage. lol... you should have seen us "sharing" the nebuliser. it's my turn, no it's my turn.
Another great image...although funny after the fact, it's got to have been scary in the moment.
Any reply yet from Dr. God?
it was Jeanne. i was so sick. i was nearly due to go in for my regular treatment for my chronic pain. so covid compounded that for me. by the time i was admitted i was so exhasted.
not yet Jeanne.
Oh, lord. What is it with us "elder" ladies and the chronic pain? I've had it since my 20s, still managed a military career. And then a post-retirement career. Now I just do self-care, concentrating on my mind since that can have so much control over pain...hence artistic things like sewing and painting and cooking.
...and gardening ...AND DOGS! We're pretty dog crazy, although we've just got our son's dog for now. But that dog energy keeps me active!
I envy you your grandchildren! My two sons aren't making any moves in that direction as they head towards 40. ;-{
I live on a country road with just one young couple neighbor. She's expecting, so I'm making a layette. Got the quilt and some wraps done.
I'm gonna have to hang it up at the bottom of the hour. I do hope all is okay in the Babble-verse. I'll check in the morning to see what's going on. You have a good day, Ms. Grannyrose!
and you dearest Jeanne.
