Rebel, sorry your daughter is literally in the line of fire. LA is a disaster. So many things went wrong with the water supply during one of the worst wind events in history. I lived down there for over 45 years and my daughter and her family are in the Inland Empire - east of all of the destruction. I hope the next round of winds ease quickly and no new fires are started.

My mom and aunt both had noticeable hair loss. My aunt wore a wig for years. My mom just bleached her hair light blond to match her scalp and used a lot of hairspray to try to cover the bald spots with what hair she had left.
my mom's starting to lose her hair. it's starting to freak her out, and she gets her hair done every six weeks on the dot.
I have thought about shaving it all off, but my head is not perfectly shaped. I stick the hair I have left in a bun, use a pick to spread it around and then use hairspray.
i have such a thick thatch on top. the despair of my hairdresser. she has resorted to using clippers at the back. and she does thin it out a lot for me.
no need for a perfectly shaped head to go bald, honey. Every scalp is interesting when bald.
always at least half a small dog on the floor after she has finished. and my nails are so strong my manicurist almost has to use a grinding wheel to cut them. loll

yeah, I think it's low 30's here. just took mine around the house but we may go out in a bit to hike up to a waterfall in our neighborhood. we got about 2" of snow followed by hours of steady sleet, so it is crunchy out there.
