No MacArthur Park fans here?
Is there such a thing as a MacArthur Park Fan? It's one of the most hated songs ever.
Hated by whom? It's a period piece. I can think of many songs that are far worse.
That awful donkey song about Christmas.
Hello, frielnds

Kaplan, I loved the version Richard Harris did of that song. The tone and phrasing he used on the line "I recall the yellow satin dress..." was wonderful. Of course, around the same time I saw his performance in A Man Called Horse and was listening to the Camelot album. I was a big fan of him, decades before Dumbledore.
phatom chapeau
need 3 on each
I see the automobile 'acura' is in the grid. I once did a voiceover for them, and when my boss hit playback for the brand reps, I found out I was TOTALLY saying the product name wrong! LOLOL!
oops
Yes, I thought it was "a-CURE-ah" - lololol.
I would never think to pronounce it that way.
Oh, the way my mind interprets how to pronounce a word can be magical at times, and other times downright hilarious -- I walked around saying omnipotent until my mid-thirties, as "Omni-potent". Finally, a kind soul corrected me.
I suspect it's partly that I taught myself to read before I started school, and I'm dyslexic. And in all the schools I attended, I missed out on the classes about how to read a dictionary or the little symbols sometimes used for pronounciation.
Molly, did you have phonics when you were learning to read? I've heard that helps.
slow grid this one
25 left
I think it's terrible, but of course ruru declared it easy
34 left for me. 8-7-15-3-1
I'm stopping for a bit with 54 left. bbl :)

Off early, Greetings
hey christa
so it looks like the third 8 hasn't been mentioned in the chog :(
I assume we have no8 and ca8
yeah
I can tell you it's a C, F, P, E, T, H, A, S, or R
me too but that's hardly helpful
glad I could help
ok we can at least eliminate T, it's not a T
and also E
okay, any guesses for my missing 2 T's?
well to6 was the one i just found
and maybe... to4/6?
I couldn't even see that 4/6 when I was looking. finally found it.

Speaking of bad pronunciation of car models...the book I'm listening to keeps pronouncing Mazda as mazz-da not moz-da and Hyundai (which is pronounced hun-day) as hee-un-die-ay. It is bugging the crap out of me.
is the narrator english? I've noticed they do "a" sounds like that. like mario is mare-e-o
ok, went to the list and still can't find 3 words
No British accent, thank God.
maybe they are british doing an american accent
If so they are doing a good one.
except for mazzda 😜
Oh well the pronunciation is atrocious. You would think someone involved in the recording process would recognize the awful errors.
what are you listening to? what do the reviews say? are other people annoyed? must be bad if someone from baltimore thinks so. 🤣
oh dear, last word se6 and I had to look it up. regular word.
I'm not from Baltimore
That statement really confused me.
Namaste
Name that Proper Noun: French composer
Faure
Very Ecellent! You win a Free Requiem when you die!
