i did some cleaning on friday and then was sore all saturday and sunday!
Ugh. And then the place gets dirty & you have to do it all over again.
well, what it was was deep cleaning cat litterboxes and the whole litterbox area, i don't thave to do that super often

it's time consuming but when it's done it's very satisfying

and i do it when it's a warm sunny day so i can use the outside hose and sprayer with powerwash, and let them dry in the sun

there's a new kickstarter for a new litterbox thing that looks pretty awesome, although i'd have to modify it slightly
We invested in the aluminum litter boxes. They are deep and sturdy. Now that we only have one cat, we can change out the boxes and clean the dirty one when we can.
i tried metal ones once but i found that they actually were scratchable, which i didn't expect

i have one who will pee in the toilet now, so that saves a bit of trouble. the others share multiple boxes.
We switched to crushed walnut shells litter and we like it much better.
that one's pretty good, yeah, but i didn't like the dark color tracking around. now i'm on Catalyst which is wood based, so it smells like a construction site, i love it

yes, i trained him with churu. i figured he would like it because i had this one box with a top entry and he liked standing on top and peeing down into it instead of getting in. he doesn't like to step in the litter. so then i thought i bet he would like using the toilet, and he does. he's always so proud of himself when he does it too.
he's very smart so that was the other thing that made me figure i could train him

Ever since that movie came out, gererations of cats Chez Soodle were cajoled, entreated, bullied into piddling into the toilet. Not one single one obliged, to the dismay of all.

Our most recent catthe late, lamented Dora had his (yes he was a tom) had his litter box in our bathroom. He would only ever use it when one of us humans were using the toilet.
