Wow! I'm sure you had a great time.
dosn't bring anything to mind -- just don't know many ps words and none of those are here
the 6 is often added in front of other things, like ps6-science

Distaste

Yay! A big grid!
i was excited too kap :D now i'm done but it was fun
LOL, I'm sure there are a lot of things she wished you wouldn't post too.
Why Hurshy?
why is udon not a word... it's a noodle like ramen.
I found the ps5 and 6 but not the ps7
Stretch it out
I am trying

It was clued earlier as ps6 science
molly, because whether or not it's appropriate for Bea to say 'Namaste' or not, i cannot determine, as that probably depends upon her understanding and respect for the culture involved (and personally i give her the benefit of the doubt). but your response is definitely disrespectful to the language and culture in which it is a sacred word, and possibly also disrespectful to Bea, depending how she takes it.
That is entirely your interpretation of the situation.
it is based on what i have learned from people who are actually in that culture.
I have every respect for people who are actually in that culture who use that word.
I haven't said anything on this chat in probably 10 years but I have to today. With all the turmoil happening around the world it seems appropriate. I learned this practicing yoga and it is the nicest thing you can say to someone so...Namaste Molly.
but you reserve the right to mock anyone else who uses it?
bon
ken, my request was that Molly stop mocking it when Bea says Namaste. she has been replying to Namaste with other words which happen to end with the letters "aste"
That's not what it looks like.
what's not what what looks like?
to clarify, i said i cannot determine the appropriateness of Bea's use of "Namaste" only because a) i'm not in that culture myself and b) to forestall Molly's defense of herself on the grounds that Bea is not from that culture. as it happens, though, i do think it's fine for Bea to say. all i was asking for is Molly to stop mocking it.
And, as usual, I am not the only one who has responded in this way to the use of Namaste by a non-Hindu person, but I am the only one taken to task. Since it seems to be so crushing to Hurshy, I will refrain from commenting from now on. And I will use the words of my own culture to say "I bow to you".
By the way, yoga instructors have stopped using this word since it is appropriating a culture that is not their own.
i haven't happened to see anyone else doing it, so, that's why i said it to you.
if others do it, then i extend the request to them also
Need a clue for the bu6/7 please.
he bu6 himself with many tasks, so he's the bu7 guy i know
Thanks hursh.
FW! Happy 4th of July Eve! Hope we have another biggie tomorrow. But not TOO big...must have time for festivities. ;)
Enjoy your festivities Champ
thanks hurshy
I just took it as a friendly greeting and treated it as such. I am sure that those who obseve that culture would have no problems with other cultures using that word as a friendly greeting, even though the culture is not their own.
Ty for the bu7, Hurshy. :)
MOLLY!! I USE & SPEAK THE WORK "NAMASTE" IN MY FELLOWSHIP EVERY SUNDAY. AND I AM NOT HINDU!!
Howdy, Christa. :)
Hello Crosshair
I also never say anything in the chat, but I appreciate BuzznBea's namaste as I believe she intends it, a pleasant way to leave well wishes to those in the chat. Replying with "Distaste" to that sign off seems unnecessary. Perhaps it was intended as a flippant remark that fell flat?
I appreciate BuzznBea's namaste as well. I look forward to the chat every night while playing babble.
being offended by expressions of peace is an odd take
lots of people get offended around here all the time, mostly about silly things. I think she was trying to make a joke and it fell flat.

dcseain - Still trying to recover from injury sustained on 5th March 2024 - broken fibula, dislocated ankle also broken in 3 places. Op for that included 2 plates and 22 screws plus one too large screw across the leg to stop my foot falling off. 21 hour wait for an ambulance to come, lying on a hard floor unable to move. Waiting for 2nd op on leg now to remove very painful, too long cross screw and steroid injection into ankle bone. Op has been cancelled twice now. Got new date for next (30th Sept.) but no guarantee that it won't be cancelled even though I am in pain. Bet you wish you hadn't asked now. lol
