and done. lovely grid but there are some i question. cooee and g'day from me. * hugs * sprite
hi sweetie *hugs*
ordering meals for when our guests arrive tomorrow. plus enough for after they have gone home for us.
good job honey
surprise, surprise. i am so lacking in motivation. their room is nearly ready, but their bathroom is shambolic. * sigh *
*hugs*
how are you coping sweetie? is the Rob any better. i saw your messages, thought i would an6 when we came home from church. yeah, right! fell asleep in my chair AGAIN! lol. before lunch.
not good. They bandaged one leg too tight. Undid and redid it yesterday with time in between but tonight it was horrible again. Another night with almost no sleep. Just undid the bandanges again. We think the elastic stocking is too tight, a size too small.
fireflies. Good grid. Has teeth.
the stocking will be the size they want Rob to be. Is he wearing the stockings AND the bandages?
it is in layers. COtton wool, stocking, padded bandage, elastic bandage, another stocking
omg. poor man !
I have ordered the things to lift the foot of our bed though. Should arrive this week.
yes it is pretty nasty, all in all. I hate it that they did this right now. On Tuesday he has the appointment for the custom pressure stockings. If he cannot manage the bandaging on that leg, the measures will be off. I wish something would go right. Am so so tired. Am simply crying from tiredness. And now I have to go get some groceries. I so so do not wanna.
when he is sitting with his kegs elevated, is he moving his feet while in that position? drawing circles with his toes, flexing feet up and down, tightening his calf muscles and relaxing them, repeating at least 10-20 times, then rest 10 minutes, then go through the process again.
yes he does all that, all the time. He is doing so good.
awww my darling girl. is there anyway you can phone, order, and have them deliver?
groceries will be delivered on tuesday, monday was full. Yesterday we ordered dinner. Tim is coming this afternoon, am gonna ask him to walk Terra
Nero. Nero. Jeezzz
good for Tim. could Tim do the shopping for you? or will it be too late for the shop?
ah well, once I can sleep at night again, I will be able to manage better. Things could be worse.
sleep is good.
yeah too late for the shop, and I want to spend some time with him as well. I am gonna go now. You know how they always say, think before you act? My mantra nowadays is Don't think, just act. Don't think, just act.
*hugs* and lotsalove :D Am off to the darn store. Will keep in touch.
* hugs * my darling. always in my thoughts and prayers.
its 2025 for goodness sake it wont allow wetroom!!
Are you aware that the Enable word list has not been updated in 25 years?
Also, wet room is two words not one
good morning all. help with left corner O please

yw
What is a Wetroom? A wetroom is a totally waterproofed or tanked bathroom with a shower area at the same level as the rest of the floor. The water drains away through a flush drain within the shower area. As the walls and floor are sealed by a waterproof membrane, there is no risk of runaway water causing damage.
copy/pasted from a website - fyi
I kn ow. I have a wetroom!!!!

yes, please. PEN!

I'm sure I'll get it eventually with that, thanks. can anyone spare a clue for the oc6?
oc + most of the french 3.....
duh, thanks
for the or5. that's one that I can never ever see. I think I think of it as a prefix.
or....oc + Deanna **** from Star Trek....
and thanks, got the oc6
the or 5 is one we have fairly often...i think of it as a prefix....

One of those words that make me sure all the Enable Word List creators live on Nerd Island
hmm, i never imagined that anyone thought real hard about making the enable dictionary, just figured they used a computer to put it together
now i'm curious what actually happened
Off to church. 67 left for later. Good luck everyone!
From Google...Enable is the work of Alan Beale and M. Cooper
it's been a while since I read about it but I think they took a bunch of the dictionaries and combined them and there was an actual committee of word nerds
i tried googling it and didn't find anything about it...
oh...found something...
Bet those guys wear plaid shorts and black socks with sandals
Longest word in Enable...ethylenediaminetetraacetates
ENABLE dictionary is Enhanced North American Benchmark Lexicon (ENABLE) dictionary. This dictionary is used by Words With Friends and other electronic word games. ENABLE is quite similar to TWL.
wow....that is some word....
WWF accepts words for which they have no definition....irritating...
"Much of the work embodied in ENABLE involves resolution of ambiguity, particularly of nouns that admit no sensible plural, grammatical inflections, or lexicographical contradictions, such as definitions that appear in Merriam-Webster that use words that are themselves absent from the dictionary."
whatever that means... ;oP
The Enable nerds would know
i have found four dh words, are there any dw words?
no, there are not, for i have now found SIX dh and finished the D
sorry to pull a peri
but none of that is what they did
None of what is what they did
none of the work embodied in that quote
there are all kinds of problems
found a cheat site....put in the letters you know and they will list all words using those letters in enable...
so you're saying you think they did a poor job of it
kind of defeats the purpose of playing....
yes, I am
no uniformity with certain rules
There are a lot of cheat sites for this game
but this one is based on the enable dictionary...
If you ever wonder why some people finish so fast.
i do it the old fashioned way
Any cheat site has to list the Enable word list as what the word list is drawn from to be accurate
i doubt the fast finishers are doing that. like pen said, it would defeat the purpose of playing
yeah, but some people have different purposes
that sounds sinister
like expert would defeat the purpose of playing for me but a lot of finishers used it
sure but like, dart is one of the super fast people right?
IDK
Also, not if your purpose is to be the first to finish or the first to find the long words
to me using the list is pretty much the same as asking for stats or clues....whatever floats your boat.... ;o)
if one did that by "cheating", one could feel smug or something perhaps, but like anything, that would feel less satisfying over time, you wouldn't keep it up for years
remember that guy chuggaboom? he finished in mere minutes
And it is all help so if you use the list or get clues you can't claim to have "finished with no help"
babble was too easy for him
There are those rare genius types
just like you said spelling bee was too easy for you :P
Hahahahahaha!
the spelling bee is super easy
I did it with Origami and Saanich and we got all the words every time
did you do the NYT
well, I still need 12 D's but haven't found any of the 6 dh and no ideas on the other 6.
or did you do the freebee bee....
ori and I did the NYT bee and I got her to genius every day
Too many e's in freebee bee
hokie the shortest dh is dh5/14, which we have sometimes. everything else is alt sp and plurals based on that
ah...but you did not make it to Queen Bee?....
He takes her to new levels. Ooh-la-la
thanks, got 5 of them.
if you get to Queen Bee, you have found all the words...
oh yeah.. get queen bee all the time
wait, I meant 4, but now I have 6
3 do, 5 di
right...
lol
he is very smug about it too
it sometimes takes a while though
(smug)
yes...story changed from Genius to Queen Bee... ;oP
ori only wanted genius
well i am tired of this grid....saving 57 for later....bye all....
freebee doesn't exist anymore
name that proper noun! queen amidala's planet

oh, must look for that
or class, rather
ty gillie
I try not to get too specific when I'm clueing scientific words.
yeah - it's just that arachnid is the word that immediately came to my mind
I ended up googling spider and then still had to get the ending to work. also was trying to get arach anything out of my mind.

at any rate, wish her luck from babbleland :D
Thanks, hurshy.

And it is a monkey, for all of you people who believe in imaginary monkeys that find words for you
Thanks, hurshy and Molly.

Surprised that enable accepts the bi7s.

It does help if you start with the corect letter.

I went to the iist and have added 8 new words - not one of which I have ever seen before - most nonsensical. I think this grid is just a waste of time. Bye
Second day of grinding it out.
