disappointing. the pysch doc called me back today after hours around 8pm tonight and made minor adjustments to my meds, recommended that i research the difference b/t bipolar & borderline personality disorders and come to her office in 3 weeks to tell her the difference and then she'll make further changes to my meds.

that is highly disappointing indeed. And it sounds a bit school teachery to me. She should know the difference, right? Kind of her area of expertise.
wth rebel. if a dr did that over here they would be thrown out of the profession. such a laid back attitude. as for telling you to do the research, just not on. docs here get pretty upset when their patients know more than they do because of "research " done on line.

she doesn't think i know the difference, and wants to be sure that i've been diagnosed correctly. i told her that i've been through the gambit and that i had the best medical care in san diego with the best doctor possible who knew what he was doing far more than she did, and she still didn't buy what i was telling her. it was like she thought i was challenging her authority.
and patients doing their own research frequently get the wrong end of the stick, then get over anxious about nothing.

maybe she wants to check to see if you are able to reflect on yourself? If you can, you are not borderline.
at this point, i just want to know why i'm sleeping so much and why my mood is so low. she can't even look past her own ego. i had this problem with the other 2 docs that tried to help me from memphis. *eyeroll* they just flat out refuse to look at my medical records. they expect me to know it all. but i can't remember it all due to the ect i underwent in california. and when i told her that, she got upset with me.
oh! and when i tried to call the va today to take sprite's suggestion to get my medical records, i couldn't get through. lay offs....trump laid off a lot of the staff, so i couldn't get what i needed today.
oh for pete's sake rebel. you just can't take a trick can you? how very frustrating!!
nope. so, i've been in a funk all day. and to top it off, my sister's got covid. again. so i've gotta quarantine myself from her. again.
as if things weren't bad enough.
at least the house is big enough for the two of us.
i hope she recovers soon rebel. the latest strain of covid seems to be much weaker than ever before. 3-4 days and it's over.

all i have done today is strip the bed from my guests, washed both bed and bathroom linens. aired the blankets, and comforter. we had a blowy sunshiny day here. rather mild for July.
very good, honey. Time to take it a little easier.
and if my restless legs don't settle soon, i may have to amputate. 4 nights in a row. usually it's only 1-2 nights, but FOUR?? give over.

Sorry to butt in. Rose - as a retired nurse, you will probably scoff at this, but I was tortured with restless leg syndrome. Now, I put a bar of soap underneath the bottom sheet of the bed & Voilá. No more RLS
