He says the same thing.
Not that I know of.

did you all see Malcolm-Jamal Warner drowned in Costa Rica?
re9.60 its a plural
My city was full of vinyl before it gentrified...mixed blessing
LOL, how did I miss that?
I've missed a lot of plurals today.
Hiding in plain sight. Kind of gets you right where...oh, I will go no further!
I told you over and over again.
I like nice big grids
where I cam feel like there are options
I've got too much going on to be able to concentrate well.
I need to clean the kitchen now
me too. Always. Life is a big anxiety pit.
My refrigerator can be voted most disgusting in the hemisphere, and I'm not the one who stuffs it full of rotting vegetables. This could cause a divorce.
I'm going on an artist residency in Nantucket for 3 weeks in August---alone. No husband.
That sounds wonderful, Kap.
We were going to Savannah this weekend and I would see one of my daughters and one of my grandchildren.
Instead, I'm running back and forth to the hospital.
I sipped some art supplies out there from Blacks, and will send a box of my own stuff. And also work on the book that has been killing me, and playing with my new iPad art program
Oh, Be a that's painful and I can relate
oh no, your mom?
Yes, Mom. She fell on Saturday. Broke her left humerus at the shoulder and broke her left hip.
oh that's bad
How old is she
Oh no, bless her.
She is 85.
I'm guessing she'll be there a while and then have to go to a rehab place.
Oh dear- a broken him at that age...The thing about having a mother who died relatively young is not having decades of eldercare. Though it was indeed traumatic.
The rehab places...basically nursing homes. My father was in one in 2001
The first one my mom was in after her stroke was pretty good.
They were going to repair the hip today, but there was something in her blood work the anesthesiologist canceled.
I hate to say it, but no one makes it out of this alive. Having bright, happy grandchildren who don't know what lies ahead...
My dad was already too messed up. He got pneumonia and sepsis.
I hope your mom gets good care and comes out on the other side to enjoy her great grandchildren.
Yes, she will have to go to rehab. But she informed all medical staff this morning that she would NOT be in rehab long.
Good for her. Is she feisty?
She is at Duke hospital. One of the best in this area.
Where is that?
Is she feisty? She's a fireball.
Duke is in Durham, NC.
We brought my dad here to Boston, one of the great medical centers of the world.
Siri sais Bette Davis was born in Durham, but that is so not true- she was a Yankee through and through.
I watched Dick Cavett's 1971 interview with her last night- WHAT a dame!
I hijacked the chat
You did not. No one else was chatting.
that's the attitude she needs to get out. we tried to make my mom understand that.
Oh. Just me and you. I figure I have 15 good years left to make it to your mom's age and I want to live it creatively doing what I want.
Mom has the nurses in stitches.
my bro and SIL went to duke for her vertigo and they were very impressed with the whole thing.
My dad wasn't feisty--he was in permanent grief over my mother, married this really cold woman and left New York which was the biggest mistake of his life. But he was only 62--too young to make decisions about marriage.
I am not impressed with their ER and trauma center.
My mom came to live with us six years ago otherwise, she would be in a grave.
My dad had great care at the end at Beth Israel, but he had had strokes in Illinois and his wife did not act quickly enough. She sort of didn't let us know how bad he was, until she called and said--you take him, I can't take c/o him anymore. So I brought his to assisted living in Boston but he needed a higher level of care/
that stinks
My mom died at 60.
I'm turning 70. My diad died at 76 or 7. I do not have their level of health problems though.
my dad's dad died at 78 so he thought he was going to too, but he made it to 80.
Mom had an aunt that lived to be 104. They are so much alike.
Malcom-Jamal Warner died. That's sad.
yeah, I posted that earlier but it got lost
gonna have to list for these last 14
I don't go back through the chat. Don't want to hear the chat ogre grumbling.
lol, I get it. but this was in our chat just the 3 of us.
wow, had to look up my missing W and that was very ironic
My last two are w's
Namaste

I am doing really well thanks. Loving my new relaxed life

I am vaccinated for measels
In 4 months. Now just working part time

I think I got it twice actually
I didn't have it (just german measles) but a lot of my classmates did.
How are you nan?
I am coming back to Kelowna in a year I think. Campbell River in June. Kelowna in September

I just had lunch with the owners of Tutt Street Tapas. We’ve become friends
Buzzer on the oven is letting me know my supper is ready - bbl
Nice
Bye
Hi all. Just been reading back through the chat about childhood diseases. Born in UK (England) in 1957 I had Measles, German Measles (twice!), Chicken Pox, repeated bouts of Otitis Media (inner ear infection causing unbearable ear-ache) and also Tonsillitis (throat infection making eating, drinking, chewing or swallowing extremely painful, especially as the inner ear infection usually accompanied it. Most meds for kids back then contained cocaine or morphine, which is probably why I'm so resistant to it now - they have to give me enough to knock a herd of bison out these days! Had my small pox and TB jabs (painful and in the buttock re the first) during babyhood, since not long after I was born my Dad contracted double pneumonia and a collapsed lung and spent many months in a local sanatorium recovering. The sanatorium also housed TB patients. I remember my mum wheeling me there in my pram, standing outside and holding me up for my dad to see through his hospital window. He was off work for a long time when he finally came home to recuperate further and we spent to much time together whilst my mum was working 3 jobs to pay the mortgage they'd just taken on for the lovely house I grew up in. I didn't need the TB jab aged 13 when they lined us all up after doing the wrist jab test at secondary school. I was still immune and apparently still am. I have asked the NHS and me GP if I can have a Shingles jab so I don't get that having had Chicken Pox in the past, but have been told I'm not old enough yet.
*meant so much time together, not 'to' much. Typing error.
Oh, I also got Whooping Cough in my 30s!
That was a notifiable disease and I had to stay off work for weeks. My Mum came in every day to help me and as I got my strength back, helped me in the garden. We dug a problematic hedge out together.
Both Dad and my ex Ma-in-Law (who had had TB) had to have annual blood tests for about 30 years after that. Sadly, my Dad, who got Lewy Bodies Dementia in later life, which Mum and I think was caused by the mercury poisoning he got from the plane factory he worked out, died before his time. Ex ma-in-law is still going strong, having nursed her hub through dementia (he was in the Air Force during the nuclear tests on Australian Islands) but she does have emphysema due to life-long smoking.
Talking to myself. Time to go and wait for the flip.
Got an old schoolfriend visiting later. She's dying from an operable cancer and has already had an eye removed due to its first visit. She started kitting a toy rabbit for one of her twin granddaughters during Chemo, but doesn't have the strength to finish and stuff and sew it up now and has asked me to do it for her. Probably the last thing I can do for her and the last time we'll meet and I will see her alive.
*inoperable cancer.
