morning babblers
ks killed
home from the movie. saw Downton Abbey. It wasn't me crying at the end. it was everyone including dear hubby.
aw so sweet
* hugs * sprite. how,s my bestie todat?
*hugs* my darling. made a bad fall yesterday, not in a good shape right now
sprite, had another two extractions on Thursday. let's just say I am glad I have endone around.
oh no!! what happened? anything broken?
patin
sorry
mouth stuff is horrile. very painful and somehow you cannot escape it, it is literally right in your face the whole time
let's talk about you honey. how many bruises? where were you?
nothing broken. dislocated shouldr that i somehow managed to pull right back in place by rolling on my pack. but typing here with one hand, shoulder very swollen and hard as a rock, and beyond paunful. lots of abrasions but that pain doesn'even register over the shoulder. probbly also a tear in a muscle.
oh darling! are you having enough pain relief? cold packs? compression? sling? all obvious of course, but I have to ask.
how's Rob handling it/you? he better be good at it..
sling is not yet an option, cannot bear elbow support at all.i took pretty heavy paainkillers and a sleeping pill o get through the night. now back to paracetamol, will ask rob to get me some naproxen
rob is not good at that, he feels helpless. but he is very willing to help when i give clear instructions
what about ??? i wish my brain would work. a bandage made into a loop which your hand goes through. allows your elbow to use gravity to stabilise the shoulder.
not sure what you mean bt we will figure smt
that's it. a collar and cuff sling. google it.
smth out. lots of reiki and tiny massages of the locked muscles, i am doing what i can
double your magnesium too. to help the muscles relax
oh yes, i know those. might be worth a try.
i think the magnesium s still in a box, lol. rob can buy me some, though
oh god! where's a Scotty when you need one? i'd be there yesterday if i could.
oh, and magnesium spray. no rubbing, just a fine mist which is absorbed through the skin.
honey, it is really uncomfotable, painful and imractible, but it is nothing serious. in a couple of days i will be a whole lot better
crying here with frustration.
I WANT TO BE WITH YOU!!!
awww sweetie, don't. it is not that bad. didn't break anything.
i ahte that we are so far apart...especially now
i agree. the Big Guy missed a page in His book when He put us in opposie sides of the planet. must have been early monday morning for Him when He decided that
sweet girl. please forgive me when i suggest something obvious, but when one is the patient there usually isn't a lot of rational thinking happening. that's why we have nurses.
babble with one hand sucks, btw.
i bet!
go ahead, suggest the obvious. i am not a good patient at the best of times, lololol
but you are more level headed as a patient than i am. i thank God for the wonderful nurses at the hospital.
if i think of anything else i'll message you f it's after you say bye.
i have this weird trait that makes me extremely calm and clearheaded as long as there is crisis. but once the crisis is over, i become a basket case
rob is the opposite. useless in a crisis but very good at handling the aftermath. we are a good eam.
team
just ticking the list here... collar and cuff sling, double the magnesium orally, magnesium spray, cold packs, analgesia. did i miss anything? babblers please jump in if you can think of anything else.
rest
shopping list for rob :D
good one, ursh!
ask for help, even when you think you can do something. do nothing on your own. yes, rest, we do forget that.
hm yeah. asking fpr help is a thing, true
one the plus side: had a brainwave and found the magnesium
yay! well done sprite
good grief - the P's go on forever
like a man with a prostate issue ??
hahaha - true
lo
lol
oh God! there's another p tile....
58 p to find, honey!
closing the gap. just 13 p's to go... * snort *
lol
i will be kind to myself and allow this grid to stay unfinished. 131 words in, no 9s yet but otherwise pretty okay across the board
must find the 9s rhough lolol
yay... sa 8, sa 9. i know you don't like clues but figure this flip maybe a little different.
thanks, got them!
well done. I am impressed
lol. that is why i usually don't like clues. they tend to make the word jump out at me
unless babble blindness strikes making me blind to the most ovious, grin
* grin *
okay, happy now. will love, hug and leave you. healing vibes to your poor mouth.
and healing vibes and prayers for a swift recovery for you. * hugs *
phew...finally found an 8
This word list is mostly gibberish.

morning
hi, hursh
hi welki, how's life
beats the alternative
you don't know that til you've tried both
fair enough, but for now, i'd rather be on this side :)
fyi - you can't have the wrinkliest-like-some-fruit fingertips
silly
yankees or blue jays?
i hate baseball
but i hate the yankees more than the rest of the league
so i guess blue jays
i grew up in nyc, but was a mets fan - i'm rooting for the blue jays, too
when and how did you move to canada
married a canadian, moved here in 1997
how did you meet him
or her
of all things, online
at a comedy club he's hilarious
where online
a long defunct chat room
hahaha, he's got a dry sense of humor, like you, ru
rats
phantom : pinpoint
he had me laughing all day..
i looked for that russell's bourbon and antica vermouth here, no luck. will have to try and find it when we go south
yeah.. probably hard to get right now with the tariff trump mess
if i hadn't met you a couple of times, i'd say you were easily amused :D
I love to laugh and make fun of anything
i appreciate a really dry wit like his
your daughter is more like you though
she's got another foster - that dog is living the high life
she's a saint like Une
she's amazing - she takes in the senior medical dogs and loves them all to bits
aw
english bulldogs, hurshy - she works with mid-atlantic bulldog rescue
I really liked her very kind person with your hints of cynicism :D
volunteer, not a paid job
i'd say she can be cautious, and hope she hasn't inherited my cynicism
'course, i drag her to some strange guy's house on the premise that he's got dogs, good food and wine :D
oh she has a touch of it.. but that' is just part of her understanding reality
it was fun.. glad you enjoyed Muir Woods too .. it's so heavenly there
the first time I met Doren we were going to meet for lunch at a restaurant in Napa (Her family rented a VRBO in Sonoma for a gathering) her daughter said : I"m not going to let you go to lunch on your own with some weirdo you met on the internet ..
heh - i wondered if she would balk, but she was a game trooper. besides, if we had to, we could take you down
ha we met before that you know I"m harmless
finally found my last two ps'
i'm struggling with Ts and Ss, i shudder to think what the Ps will be like
just starting the t's now
morning
morning TO
hey, to!
mmmmm ... just mixed up a batch of vegetable cream cheese, toasted an everything bagel
have you tried trader joe's crumpets? they are tasty. but not with cream cheese i think
i haven't tried them, there are no trader joe's up here. i can ask a neighbor in az to pick some up (nearest one is a couple of hours away). i've been making sourdough crumpets - they're really good
(i just uploaded a pic of one as my icon)
in an effort to slim down i have stopped baking
oh puhleese
it's a futile effort, though
please what
please don't tell me you need to slim down, you're perfect
oh i am so sorry, getting a new machine is on my list.
omg do not embarrass me and that was a while ago
haha, that crumpet looks very tall in the photo
i saw a post from a woman saying it didn't matter how much she exercised, because her DNA still thought she was a medieval peasant and said, "ay, are we runnin' frae the English again, lassie? dinna ye worry, we'll keep ye nice and plump tae survive"
i'd say that's a sound theory
i was speaking with the daughter of a former work mate, did not know they rented all winter in az in a over 55 community. considering
do you know where in az?
i did not even think of that as an option, but with a built in community, it is doable. not sure, they move around. outside of phoenix last time
i think that, if we had it to do over again, we might have chosen new mexico
why?
my grand-daughter is playing in phoenix on nov 17 - thinking of grabbing a neighbor and going to see the show (about two hours away)
mostly mindset and culture
what are the differences in those things
between the two
is she touring when they come east?
oh okay but i remember someone telling me about having to check your shoes for scorpions in nm
arizona is less focused on cultural history and more "modern" - and az tends to be more conservative (not only politically, but lifestyle-wise)
same in any southern state, to - never leave your shoes outside
water usage and suck?
i would think the scorpion thing could just as easily be either of those
oops such
is NM also more into art? like Taos is there right, and that's an art-oriented town?
lots of art communities in NM
tons
very much, hurshy - i'd love to visit georgia o'keefe's house
I did and the museum too
i don't know if it's similar in NM, but we often feel like we have to watch what we say, and to whom we say it, in AZ
i was also looking at going to houston later in the month for a dance festival
the road to her house is really dangerous on weekends though welki
it's not likely we'll be visiting NM any time soon
I'm in Houston TO! Come on down! ;)
why is the road dangerous?
eat at pappadeaux
welk do you mean politics? i was surprised to hear of someone saying they were thinking of moving from what i consider the perfect town because of just that
the mexicans and indians drink a lot after work and it's a two lane highway.. you can figure it out from there
crashies
we try not to discuss politics anywhere, but even innocuous comments/replies seem to stir the pot. and the canadian connection doesn't help
Hs Hacked!
(and no, i don't think they're playing back east this time)
i thouht he is . or was.
in philly
i'd have to check, maybe you're right
okay then az maybe not the place for ny born culture
i think you'd like NM
champ i would come just to dance. and oktoberfest
many years ago i inadvertently left my childhood copy of heidi on a plane. it turns out that there are not only lots of editions, but multiple TRANSLATIONS into english, and i liked the one i'd had. i recently went on ebay trying to match my recollection of what the cover looked like, and i bought one and it came yesterday and it does seem to be the same version so i am very happy.
It's hot here now TO. Hope it cools a bit for you if you decide to come.
the internet is wonderful for that. i have things my mother collected and i can find their history
ooh i love hot.
i have one 9, which is ti9. anyone have others?
welk look what i found. the texas page has a jukebox
https://www.zydecoevents.com/events
pi 9/66
what's most amazing is that the link didn't distort with that n
it just has to be short enough
not to get the distortion
cool link - thanks!
it's st mary's gumbo festival end of the month in houston champ
which P tile does that come from, dippnall?
two of my favorite bands
aHA got it, the lower P
https://tinyurl.com/s4m5sraa
Ooooh...gumbo! Always good!
gumbo has okra in it, right?
gino and keith frank. dance all weekend
oHO, i found the other 9, sa9, ends like the ti9
Some do. There are lots of variations. BBL...bridal shower for my daughter today. Enjoy!
i love slices of pickled okra on a tuna sandwich
you as well, champ.
i do not like okra, and i do not like pickled anything
yucky yuck yuck yuck
i knew that was coming
i basically don't like anything that has such a strong, potent flavor, it is too overpowering for me
not that i mean to disparage those who do like such things!
funny how i'm having a lot of trouble with G today too, even tho there are only 10
oh, i knew you weren't saying it that way, hurshy - i just recall that you're sensitive to flavors/spice
yeah
wish i could not tolerate dessert
ha
heat gets me. pepper
well, there are some fattening things i don't like... cream cheese, sour cream, bacon
i always get, oh, it's not too spicy. famous last words. then i know not to even try
"whisks the vegetable cream cheese away and replaces it with crumpets, butter, honey and marmalade*
yeah, same here TO
how does one make vegetable cream cheese?
bust seasoning is wonderful except for curry. just no hear
you scrounge around the fridge for scallions, cukes, peppers, radishes and carrots. dice into tiny bits and mix with cream cheese. the end.
ah, thanks
boy am i stuck
best if left for a few hours, but i couldn't wait :)
just bought a tub at TJ's. great stuff
trying not to open it yet, since crackers were also onsale. this is why i need to shed lbs
i have never seen it up here
i thought no TJs up there?
every now and then, i make it - but if i find lox, you can keep the vegies (gimme an everything bagel, some onion and cream cheese and i'm set)
no, no TJs and no vegetable cream cheese
i use to buy temptee but that's gone to hell since brand was sold
i haven't heard that brand name in decades! (now i'm thinking about date nut bread - can't find that here either, i've had to make it from scratch)
food is a funny thing. like you know how there are certain things that if you prepare them wrong they are deadly toxic but if you prepare them right they aren't. like how did people first figure that out??
oh gosh we would Not be weight watcher buddies. yo mean the little round loaves?
yeah! a little sticky, but ohhh so good!
i forget who made them
who was going "well that guy ate this and died, but maybe if i just take out THIS bit, i'll be fine"? seems like a pretty big risk
the only one i can find is neumann's
i think about that sometimes, too, hurshy - like, 'this little round fruity thing sure looks pretty ... let's eat it!'
NEUMANS!
in the refrigerated section, wrapped nice and tight in crinkly cellophane
i think it was like survivor. the least liked member of the tribe was the taste tester
okay, enough of this for now - have a good day, everyone!
bye i am going to tend to laundry.

Any clues for the other 9s welcome.

Oops soirry
hello friends.
I see torgone is here with us in spirit today. Miss him!
Just looked up and I notice I have 31 P's left. How pa4/5ful.
Yup. This is a P grid today
I have NO E WORDS yet. Struggling to find them
Any help with e words welcome. Ty
Just found one finally. Es 5
got en words. Often in babble.
Yum, Canadian staple. You can also find it in Oregon.
Cig is that the en?
the en is a feeling of listlessness. I think it's used often. My Canadian staple is a po - fries with a topping.
time for a break
The Canadian food is not in the grid. But Irish moonshine is : D
are there really no gerunds in this grid?
no but there is cake.
and whiskey
I heard there would be cake.
and an eastern european country
ah, kap is just here for the cake.
Jane Fonda in "Grace and Frankie": "I ate CAKE???"
jane fonda never ate a piece of cake in her life.;
that was what was funny in the show. Also when Lily Tomlin's character tried to pull a hair from Jane's chin, she said Don't Do that! You'll unravel my whole face?
Jane is 86 or 7 and I think she is amazing.
most anyone can be with advances in medicine, looks and body wise.
Her talent, her activism, and ability to laugh at herself.
ah. i see many women who fit that bill. they are just not famous
As a child she wouldn't say goodbye to her mother, who was being cared off to the mental hospital. She never saw her again.
but i am blessed with food health and a community of very active prople
Well, if you're Henry's daughter AND you got talent, you can do a lot with it. She is not a Kardashian.
I have food and community. Health? Damn arthritis and crap like that.
oh heck, food on the brain today. :/
Food on the brain sounds very messy and gooey.
indeed. especially if it's chocolate
did you mean food, health or good health.
good health, in that can walk talk and dance, lift things, do my own yardwork, volunteer, etc
Chocolate mixed up with gray matter?
well, now that you put it that way...
I'm having trouble with mobility but refuse to give in to it. My trainer was shocked at how frozen my shoulder and gluten got to be in one week. He said he'd come back in a week, but I need a good massage...
that
that
what
is too bad.
what
painful
I was very active before the Zoom years.
and limiting
yes, when i just sit it is worse than any pain i got from heavy work
I've never been woken up by shooting pains but last night I couldn't move
terrible.
i have a friend who had arthritis and he just received a new finger joint. amazingq
no pain, healing quickly
good afternoon everyone :)
hip replacement was good 2 years ago, but my shoulder muscles have seized.
22 years of the gym and it comes to a halt during covid, and I'm in the same place I would have been in had I not worked out for 20 years. Arthritis runs in my family. Or limps.
not uncommon in women. our shoulder anatomy is different than men's, and exercise was not always modified because it was not known
in mine we pretty much go until we drop
but very active
Those young women are gonna pay. It's too bad. Modern dance taught by someone who understands aging bodies is much better. is much better.
don't you have silver sneakers type classes near you?
and water classes>
oops hi nan
TO!
We would never all it Silver Sneakers. We called it Locomotion. No one would mess up our schedule. But the gym remodeled during the pandemic and is noise and flashing lights, and they messed up the locomotion schedule. Plus you have to sign up for each class. They reined the place. I go to Modern 55+ at the Dance Complex.
ruined. The spin studio is black with no windows and blasting music. It used to be you could look out a big window and pace yourself.
just got half way on the p's, but not sure that is cause for celebration!
definitely dragging today
silver snearkers that comes with health insurance allows you to go anywhere it is offered with no cost. the y has a lot of modified classes
shoes!!!
guess who i
i saw the mountain goats yesterday. and cake and shonen knife last weekend
Yeah, Silver Sneakers and Silver 'n Fit are both "senior" healthcare benefit programs
I love Cake!!! GREAT live show! Is that where the Grace & Frankie convo came from earlier? ha
no. i do not watch that show, it's kap,
was disappointed in the goats. but have been singing shonen knife mujinto rock all week
is the es 5 a common word - not seeing it
nm
What I should be doing is walking even day but around here, there are two short seasons a year when that is doable. Black ice, trees breaking the sidewalks. I'm about 10 minutes walk from the Tufts track and that's probably my best bet. I won't do SS till I stop dyeing my hair
co?
i have to go but shoes, check out this lineup https://xpnfest.org/
corner o stats please?
will do, thanks! We just had Pilgrimage last weekend. Was a great weekend
og 4/6....
of course, ty pen
yw...
TO - Great lineup!!! <3 Kathleen Edwards & would love to see Spin Docs and Soccer Mommy.
it's getting to the point that when I see these grids over 200 is "I wonder how many crazy words in this one"
met the first two
yes....some are a real slog...
this is the longest mid length grid ever
slow going for sure...
so far I have kh x1 and kn x3 -- not seeing anything else
I like big grids because you can keep coming back to them but this one is a little dull
shoes my favorite by far was sharon can etten. she's really come into her own
awesome!
oops sharon van etten
i have four KN words...
and michigander
i hate big grids because when you come back to them and pull out your hair to gray a block, you discover you already entered the word and it disappeared.
frustrating...
i am stalled at 96....tired today....taking a break....bye all...
trying to get to half way before stopping for lunch
I have two of those kn words in my shoulders
All k's are kn except one kh
missing kn x2 then
one now
bbl
I thought I was done but just found 3 more words. That's what I like about long grids- there's potential to see something obvious that you had been missing
fishes
I just caught 5 little guppies
and a trout
clue for the ep7?

most hearty greetings, y'all !!!
And heartiest greetings back to you BDG. (almost 2.00 am here & sleep evades me).
Don't you just hate that? I remember wondering why my grandma was up in the middle of the night...
It’s a PITA Bea. No sooner does my head hit the pillow, and my brain (such as it is) goes into overdrive. Foolish; non important stuff.
Sepias
Sleep evades me. So does the concept of keeping the cursor in the correct box. Apologies.
anyone seen a clue for in 6/24?
what you do with liwuid
liquid
ty mybrain is dead with this nasty grid
i will now go off to try every thin i can think of
WHAT? no points for stonk??
If you get it TO, can you share, please. My brain is fried.
i know that feelin.
i'll **** us a drink
Gottit!! Thank you
bye
…….and about that drink you are about to give me - Can you make it a double, please? Medicinal reasons, naturally
halfway done at last (!!)
hi again - got to half way and had to take a break -- this is one tough grid
i'm babbling on and off, still 115 to go
73 to go, i quit. See y'all tomorrow
