Oh right...er, Abel's brother is one. Slope, slang, or opposite of able is the other

that helps... I have u4 /5 and u7 /36 I left you a clue for those two earlier if you scroll down
Never mind I see anj's below.
Jera, check my 10:09 post...

Jera, the other one is a leafy plant. Or an island of the Inner Hebrides south west of Skye
Thanks Anj... I stumbled into it! ;>
Macadam i have the last a :)
Does anyone have the e word yet?
Anyone got a breakdown of the n's? I'm 3 short.
sorry, still on the u's... can anyone give me a page from 'clues for dummies' for u6/27 and u4/5? heads spinning here!!!!!!
Jera, think of the french for equal or equality. Also sounds like large bird of the raptor family
the e word is impartial
ginger...u4/5 to reverse something youve done
that will give you the u7/36 too
how many letters in the E word??
yoink, im still 3 Ns short myself. i have: Na4/4 x2 Na4/7 Na5/10 Na5/16 x2 Na5/20 Na6/18 Na6/20 No4/4
the e word is 4
Evandine, they seem to be the same as mine unfortunately
Yay...got it thanx.
Oops, add an "a", I spelt your name wrong!
thanx rolin, I have trhem two, it's the other 2 I haven't!!!
Thanks mo!
yoink -- i think you might be the first person to notice its a feminine name...hah i probably should have used capitalization -- EvaNadine
Could I have a list of the E words? Gotta scoot in 15 to take daughter to fencing.
Hah. It would be funny if the list of E words contained epee this time around!
jera -- theres only one!
only one e word
e4/5
I was tickled pink when flescher came up last week, tee-hee!
DUUUUUHHH. Sorry, meant the D words, LOL!
My brain is already crazed with the thought of driving in noon traffic, please forgive.
Well, gotta scoot, see you guys in about an hour to work on those dratted D's some more!
seeya soon Jere
4 words down... 105 to go.... lol
I think folk are missing a no4 worth 4 points. It's a color in one language and a genre in ours.
finished the Ns! Na4/4 x2 Na4/7 Na5/10 Na5/16 x2 Na5/20 Na6/18 Na6/20 No4/4 x3 No5/10
any clue on no5 /10??
Or na6/20?
Could it be a Na6/21?
Na6/20: "An often fatal disease of African ungulates caused by various species of trypanosomes and transmitted by the bite of the tsetse fly"
yes, sorry, its Na6/21
No5/10: "A water wheel with buckets attached to its rim, used to raise water from a stream, especially for transfer to an irrigation channel"
Double check for me that the Na6 (described below) adds up to 21 and not 20?
Ooops, thanks. T - y - p - i - n - g v - e -r - y s - l - o - w - l - y.
CSA yes it adds up to 21
Jera - where does your daughter fence? i fence in dublin but i figure its prob. not the same place!
The 20-pointer is an Na5. A six-letter word could not add up to 20, as scores for all six-letter words must be divisible by 3.
the no4/4 i have the part of speech and the dreid algae whats the other?
think black, grim, spooky
lottijw,2 more n`s.
how is canoing not a word
I'm missing a ga5/12 i've got the thin and bony one - any clues pls for the other
As a new Babbler, I'd like to know the history. When and how did it start? How did you guys hear of it?
think what guliver was to liliputians!
Hello, Rhiannon, love your name (one of my favorite goddesses)! We are lucky to have a mighty fine fencing academy about 15 miles away... but it takes 30 mins to get there with horible traffic. She really loves it!
any clues on these please? Na4/7 Na5/10 Na5/16 Na6/18
got the na4/7
Linda0 -- theres only one Ga5/12, but there are 2 Gi5/12 's
Na5/10 "Of, relating to, or accompanying birth"
Na5/16 -- lacking experience
Na6/18 "Floating or swimming in water"
got the lacking experience one.. is there another?
Thanks evanadine i've found the missing g
Na5/16 "A spot or mark on the skin of children when born; a birthmark"
Okay, these are driving me nuts: I need a clue for the I5 and the B4-9. Thanks for any help.
B4/9 -- thai unit of currency
and theres L5/12 and L5/20
I need the i5
there is no i5, both i's are i4/4
What does the birthmark one end in? What came up with my google has an s in it
jera.. ends is i... can also be a skin mark called spider *****
ends in i
can I get a clue for na6x18?
both Na5's consist of the same letters, just in a different order.
mtnjock, scroll down
Are both i's i4/4?
cadfan, yes. they consist of the same letters, in a different order.
Sorry, still lost. I'm so dense, sorry.
Got the 2nd, thanks Evanadine
jera -- try the more latin plural form.
evaNadine, its not letting me put in the word I am thinking of naiant
Nothing seems to work for the 2nd i4-4. I have the metallic one, need the 2nd one. Any clue?
or am I off base?
Jera, think Village People. Sounds like 'In the N....!' There goes my cred :(
Judi - same four letters...
mtnjock, you're always off base.
only at first ScoutsMom and its in the air.
close mtnjock, but not quite
figured it out EvaNadine, naiant (though a valid word and should count) is a variation of the real word. Thanks for your help
Oy vay! Now I'm stuck on the O word. Any clues?
judi...has to do with several people gettin' it on all together. ;)
hints on the one (e) word
Hi y'all!

i cant belive there are 12 (d's) and i have one..lol
OMG I just guessed the ch8/70 as a joke!
24 words left is a respectable time for a break... I will be back after a little nap (maybe it will refresh my poor brain). Thanks to all who tried to help me!
jera, the best thing to do it just try to be familiar with different prefixes, suffixes and more common spellings in latin + greek....things like "ae" and plurals ending in i or e are common in babble...
heres a hint for you green eyes, I am at work while visiting this website, I really should be ________ something else.
mntjock..that one i have,.,but did i read there are 11 more starting with (d)?
same here mtnjock -- thats why i try to babble ______ my lunchbreak. ;)

It's an Or6/27.

Judi, the root of your u7/36 :)
judi -- U4/5 goes with your U7
any hints for ca6/27 or the ca7?

Mo-- soz for delayed reply. was skype chatting with a mate. I deserted the north years ago, when nothing was going on and jobs were thin on the ground. Now, it's sooo different, I know! But I don't recognise it anymore! I don't know my way round!
mo, I hate to disillusion you, but Notts is not the north...even Middlesbrough is considered suspiciously southerly by some of my Geordie friends :)
Got it Shreb, again, many thanx.
Notts? I thought that was midlands or something?? I'm from sunny Lancashire!!!!! : D
north notts/yorkshire/lincs border to me is up north compared to Londoners

Hi Chessy - welcome to the Babbleverse :)

Balbbler - think of 'The Flight of the C------' and change the second letter for another vowel.
Babbler, I have be CANDID (hint) and OPEN or maybe just FRANK. and ca7 is the brittish spelling, you know, throwing u's in where there shouldn't be.

ssssh!! (whispers) you don't want them to find you......
oh, they know where I am, I think they're just enjoying the show
but this is the new generation where we are not allowed to infringe on your freedoms and we have to find ways to make you restrain yourself. like babble....
Chip, if I do something to the extreme they would call me a maniac. So if I went to orgies a lot, what would they call me (and there is no definition for the word on line or I would have given it)
I was only playing! I'm at 57 words and I've bombed! I cannae do no more! Someone give me permission to stop!

Chris P, the du7/46 is loose packing material to protect cargo on voyage, the un6/27 means to set free - the opposite of one of the c4 words.
That na6/21 is a disease of African ungulates (that meas hoofs to u & me) carried by the tsetse fly. Run 'tsetse disease' past the Google Fairy ;)

You're welcome ferrari... So anyone need help?
jackandtrevor, how about a quick help with some d's??? Du4 (not the one that sounds like a mild oath, or the one that means a blow) Du6 (not while) Du7 thanx
Du _ _ sounds like a prefix for hard...rhymes with Euro
GOT IT!!!
for du 7, add suffix to mild oath-sounding du4.
Du 7 "Loose packing material used to protect a ship's cargo from damage during transport."
swmbo...our word begins with a d......so not subtle at this time of night
I'm sorry, going cross-eyed. Thank goodness jackandtrevor still here. Sorry.
bah! the b7/36 is just so b7/36ly obvious!!
bah! the b7/36 is just so b7/36ly obvious!! ha ha ha ha - very very funny....
Du6 (not while) A tree of southeast Asia, bearing edible fruit. First 4 letters are the same as the "while" du
Got the du7, thank you all so much. 6 words to go: 2 du6's, a gi4, a gi5, and a ta4 and one other...
No, only 5...
One gi5 is a huge human maybe 10 feet tall or the name of a football team...I'm a female, but I think they're out of New York..and it rhymes with science...( in a way)
The plural of the huge humans rhymes with science in a way..am I helping or hurting? I'm getting cross eyed looking at these little letters and numbers...
Anyone know why I'm getting double comments?
Again thanks!!! I am given to believe that another gi5 exists that is NOT a large person. Is this a true fact? or an urban myth... :)
yes, Gee (steel) or G (tool to press clothing) rhymes with siren...
Poor jackand trevor! YOu are getting tired and you also have a husband to appease do you not? Hie thee to thy marital pallet and, well do what ever seems best... And thank you!!!
I will help till I drop...I must as so many people helped me to finish...I won't do this every day because if I did I would end up in a homeless shelter...
What Ta 4's do you have?
Weeelllll, if you insist!!! 2 du6's, a gi4, a gi5, and a ta4
this tbears too tired.....good luck to those of you who persevere......brave soldiers....goodnight xx
Gee (steel) or G (tool to press clothing) rhymes with siren. or put an "N" on the end of one or your G4s...
G'night tbear!
I have been here quietly benefitting from your clues. So many words seem random letters thrown together, it's a wonder anyone gets them. Thank you jackandtrevor and everyone. Blat!
At 08:21 pm jackandtrevor said... Du6 (not while) A tree of southeast Asia, bearing edible fruit. First 4 letters are the same as the "while" du
goodnight jackandtrevor......you're very kind to stay on and clue people....sleep well....eventually
You're welcome Mab...it's a team effort!
ever feel like you're repeating yourself......lol
One du 6 is 21 the other 24 and all you have to do is figure out one, then change the second to the last letter to an alternate vowel to get an alternate spelling... rhymes with hurryin' which you must be doing as it's getting late...
Yesterday the puzzle was happy to take "yids" while today it will not take "glat." To quote brandyjack, stupid puzzle.
tbear - I'm double commenting ( not my fault) and double commenting...on purpose!
HOw about cunt the other day!
Why isn't runch accepted??
They use a weird dictionary...I think they make it up themselves and half these words aren't really words...
Ok - I'm turning in..Swmbo has been called away I think...last call for a clue...
I need to correct myself..there are two Du 6 21 - very similar except one letter ( 2nd to last) The "while" DU is 24 points..obviously I should go now...night all
But it's what they eat at noon in Tokyo..
Whooeee! got all but 3. Thanks Jackadn trevor: YOU GO TO BED NOW!!! LOL
does anybuddy have a clue for this danged ch8 word??? I'm going nutzo here lookin' for it! I know the first 5 letters are the same as ch5.....but then what???? HELLLLLLLP!
last three letters = how old you are
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, sage!!!!
fyi it's the french word for blackmail
Finished and I am so grateful for all of the help and kindness. I would gladly stay and help others, but I am so tired I can hardly type. Nytol...
???
Everyone finished early except us, I guess
I must be an idiot - doogle, you there? - any help with the one O word - I've read the chat and still can't get it
cbr, regarding your o, if you are a maniac for wild sex parties, perhaps you could be called one of these. Oh, and someone please help! I've only got the du/5 left -- may I have a clue?
Think about a "nice Hawaiian _____" and change the first letter - or something you would drink at a kid's party and change the first letter
or6 think organic maniac -- squash them together. Oh, it's so late --- take the first three letters and the last three of the above words. okay?
Need help on the Ns. Need NA6s and NA4 (not bread or church). Please...
Dianne NA6/21 - try "tsetse disease"
NA6/18 - think Floating in water, as the leaves of water lilies - I'd never heard this word
na6/21: An often fatal disease of African ungulates caused by various species of trypanosomes and transmitted by the bite of the tsetse fly. na 6/18: Floating or swimming in water. na4/4: same letters as bread; grandma, perhaps.
cbr, thank you! I could have sworn I tried that -- I appreciate your help very much!
Any help for the du7?
du7: Loose packing material used to protect a ship's cargo from damage during transport. Dunno, I suppose it's so it'll age wel (hint, hint).
Awesome - thanks melissamay! I finally got the O too - I had tried every combination, or so I thought!
melissamay, I must be brain dead - I'm not getting anything on those 3 N words. I've tried to respell the bread word every which way but zilch. And as for as the fsickness and the floating go...UGH.
Dianne - put the clues into google and you will find it easily - I;ve still got some Ns to go too - just different ones
du7 double n
My final four are Ca5 (not Ca5/14), Ca7, Gi4 ( ihave two 4/5), and Ri4 ( I have 4/5 and 4/7) if anyone has time to help before deadline.
Dianne, you know the yellow fruit that starts with ba? Take the 4 last letters for n/4. Take the last 4 letters of bl7 and add them to na for na6/18. I'll try to think of another clue for tsetse!
gi 4/8: To make a present of
Dianne - the dog'same in Peter Pan is Na____
there are 2 ca/15s -- one the memorial stones, one a tropical herb having clusters of large showy flowers. Gi4 -- not a taker, but a _ _ _ _r. There are only 2 ri4s, you'll be happy to know.
Don't know how I didn't see the Granny word. Thanks Melissamay - I got both of those (when you led me by the hand :)
I actually have that Ca - I need the other one
Thanks for the Gi clue - I still have nor idea about the memorial stones though
google: a mound of stones erected as a memorial or marker. Hope that's what you need!
Got it in the nick of time = loads 'o thanks!
You are very welcome. Now please persuade me not to play again in 1 minute! This is worse than crack.
I feel your pain - is 1 am here
