1:30 am

is the so9 related to the s08?

1:30 am

Hi Krys10! No, it's timber or girder fastened above and parallel to a ship or boat for additional strength. Alt. spelling of a K6/30.

1:30 am

er, is it related to the so8?

1:32 am

sfnell, I think Sprite was answering my question about the K7, not the S9. I don't have the S9 or S8, or I would tell you!

1:32 am

sfneil: yes it is.

1:32 am

Good list, High Energy, thanks!

1:32 am

thanks Krys, yes: I was just correcting a typo in my question

1:32 am

sprite, thanks much -- you just helped me get my last 2 ks!

1:34 am

Don't know why, but the Ks never come easy for me.

1:34 am

I'd like to think I have a particular affinity for K's, but I still have the ship girder ones to find :)

1:35 am

I found the k7, but don't see the k6!

1:35 am

Krys10, better leave out "above or parallel" of my def.

1:36 am

I got 'em already, but thanks.

1:37 am

sfneil - drop the 2nd letter

1:37 am

Thanks, Sprite! Got the s9.

1:37 am

And thanks, Hugabugs!!

1:40 am

That S8 seems like a mispelling to me! Or is it misspelling?

1:40 am

I am confused on the s9 clue....please clarify thanks

1:41 am

Blaze do you have the s8? If so, double the antepenultimate letter.

1:42 am

sfneil I only have s7's at the moment... I will keep monkey typing..

1:42 am

Thanks sfneil, I was trying so many combinations of so8!

1:43 am

Both the so8 and so9 describe the person being serenaded by a poet.

1:45 am

Hi I'm new to boggle like it please explane how I can find out how many words there are still left to find? now at 67 words and 804 pts

1:46 am

Thanks you muchly finally found it...

1:46 am

Hi! welcome. Look back in the log for clues including a list of how many words there are and the breakdown of what each word starts with.

1:49 am

thanks krys10

1:49 am

215 words / 5.01 / 3201 points today. Incredibly easy grid compared to yesterday's! Good hunt to all of you.

1:50 am

Very impressive, dear, less than two hours! Have a good day!

1:51 am

Sprite, you are incredible.

1:51 am

Congrats, Sprite! Yesterday was a doozy, huh? I finally timed out with one word to go!

1:52 am

Amazing, sprite -- even more so to realize that English isn't your native tongue!

1:53 am

Had a hard time yesterday, very tight grid that was. But this grid has few strange words, except for the sk-ones ;)

1:53 am

*blush* I just play too often, I am getting experienced ;)

1:54 am

Well, that just gave me 2 more words.. so far. Thanks

1:54 am

me too, thanks - and well done Sprite :)

1:56 am

Great job sprite...thank you for being inspiring

1:56 am

There are 7 (!) sk-words :)

1:56 am

SEVEN !! yikes !!

1:56 am

Thanks, Sprite! I was just about to ask. That's how many I have!

1:57 am

Good work, sfneil! Those were the ones that gave me real trouble today.

1:58 am

Hmmm. I guess that means it's just the mundane words that are eluding me! ;)

2:00 am

Got all the sk's now

2:00 am

Sounds familiar, lol. Usually I have to struggle with the last few words, only to discover they are very common, or missing plurals or (worse) singulars, or a past tenses to a verb or something like that. Babble is very good in giving me the "DUH" feeling.

2:02 am

.. or else words you think you had put in, then remember that was yesterday's puzzle! ;)

2:02 am

ROFL! Too true.

2:03 am

...or words you thought you put in, but you used the plural and not the singular or vice versa...yes, Babble's great for feeling humble...

2:06 am

At least the faster babble site makes for less words that you did put in, but without realising babble wasn't ready yet to take the next. :)

2:08 am

Very true, sprite! I love the new improved speedy Babble. Dr. God's been great at making improvements.

2:10 am

He sure has! Got to go, have fun hunting today!

2:10 am

Bye Sprite

2:10 am

So long, Sprite!

2:11 am

*sigh* I just hate how there's so many things you can "re"!

2:11 am

Take care, sprite. Congrats again on the early finish!

2:13 am

Question for anyone who's got the h7 -- my last 7! -- is it related to an ho6? I can't seem to find it!

2:18 am

melissamay - in a way....

2:19 am

The H7 is a synonym for heat.

2:20 am

Ok, I'm just going to keep hunting -- at least I'm on the right track!

2:22 am

This is a hard one for me. Trying to go for the biggies. Does anyone have a clue for the sh7/40?

2:23 am

Oh gosh...now I feel silly. Thanks hugs and Krys.

2:26 am

Dianne, add a word that's a number to your sh 4/7.

2:31 am

Melissamay - I thank you so much. Finished the biggies and polished off the g, k and m words. I'm no Sprite that's for sure :)

2:32 am

Dianne, you're welcome. :)

2:36 am

Any clues on the re7/32? It's my last big one...and I just can't find it

2:36 am

Hugabugs, if you put your frock on again, you would ...

2:37 am

re7/32 = set right, rectify... think about putting your clothes on again!

2:37 am

oh geez... got it. Thanks so much!

2:38 am

hugabus- if you take your ring to the jeweler and want new stones put in you had a re6 work on it - if more than one works on it then they are re7s.

2:39 am

sorry about the miss typing hugabugs!

2:40 am

Dianne - thanks... I have all my 7, 8 and 9's now. Need 44 more though! *sigh*

2:44 am

Thanks for the RE7/32 hint - it was my last word! G'night all, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

2:44 am

Could someone tell me what 7 I'm missing? Thanks! de7/32 dr7/32 ge7/36 ho7/40 ke7/44 ne7/28 no7/40 re7/32 re7/44 re7/40 se7/28 sh7/40 te7/32 to7/28

2:44 am

Goodnight, Krys10!

2:44 am

Hi, any clues for the Ge7/32 please?

2:45 am

sfneil - sh7/44 almost the same as the other sh7

2:45 am

If you applied ge5/12 to something, you ge7/36 it

2:46 am

An sh7/44, sfneil.

2:46 am

sf - you are missing re7/54.

2:46 am

Thank you, melissamay!!!!

2:47 am

thanks sfneil

2:47 am

And hugabugs and everyone!

2:47 am

hugs is right, too -- it's very close to your other s7. :)

2:47 am

No worries, Paddytt!

2:48 am

And I thought you had forgotten me! ;o)

2:48 am

I could never forget you, hugs! (Just got confused a bit.)

2:49 am

LOL ok...you're forgiven! :-D

2:50 am

Wasn't the ge7 in a puzzle a couple of days ago?

2:51 am

Hugabugs, if it was, it was a puzzle I missed. And I think I've played all the puzzles for the past week or so.

2:51 am

Trying to finish the O's. Any clues/hints for the missing one? I have O4/4 x 3. 5/10 and 6/18.

2:52 am

sfneil - Actually, it was in yesterday's puzzle.

2:53 am

Dianne - You need an o4/9

2:53 am

...and I even got it! Babble has made me insane!

2:54 am

I've lost sleep over Babble... if I don't finish it when it comes out, I end up dreaming of it.

2:55 am

Dianne - think electrical measurement

2:56 am

I canNOT believe there are two more o4/4s I'm not seeing!

2:57 am

Hugabugs - I misstyped - I have 4/4 x2, 4/9, 5/10 and 6/18. So obviously I'm missing a 4/4. Got a clue?

2:57 am

I found it... o4/8

2:58 am

Now I bet, you all just did it!

2:59 am

You are right - I found it and did it! Thanks.

2:59 am

it's one of those words that you probably do alot of when learning something new

3:00 am

Ha! I just found it and did it, too! Any clues on my missing o4/4s? I have only one: the plural of the singular.

3:02 am

O's - the plural of the electric thing and the other sort of sounds like the plural of what you are looking for.

3:03 am

sfneil - there's no def. for it..... think plural of the french word for bones

3:04 am

Found it! Weird little word...

3:05 am

Not exactly one I'd ever use.

3:06 am

19 words left, but I'm so sleepy! Giving myself a half hour more...

3:08 am

Geez, I still need 37 to go

3:10 am

I'm missing one 'n' and one 't'. Any tips? ne4/4 ne4/5 ne5/12 ne4/4 ne4/4 ne6/21 ne6/18 ne7/28 no4/4 no4/4 no5/10 no5/10 no4/4 no5/10 no4/7 no6/30 no6/27 no7/40 no6/27 no4/4 no5/10 no6/18 no5/10 te4/5 te5/10 te7/32 te4/4 te5/10 te6/18 to4/5 to4/4 to4/4 to5/12 to5/10 to6/18 to5/10 to5/10 to6/18 to7/28 to6/18 to4/7 to4/4 to6/18 tr5/10 tr4/4

3:10 am

I have 28 left, and I'm dreading scrolling through the log later to try to find them all -- I'm a just a few short on a *bunch* of letters.

3:11 am

sorry sfneil -- n and t are among the many, blargh.

3:11 am

sfneil - I'm missing a few of each of those, but I'll check yours against mine.

3:13 am

Thanks for checking, Hugabugs!

3:17 am

sfneil - to6/27 pl. of to4/7

3:17 am

Can't help you with the n's though... Sorry!

3:18 am

Thanks, Hugabugs! Hugs!!!!

3:18 am

sfneil - you are missing a ne6/21 after your first ne4/4

3:20 am

And thank you, IceBoySF!!!!

3:22 am

Are you in San Francisco, too, IceBoy? I'm in the Mission District.

3:23 am

i used to live in SF in inner sunset but moved out of state 3 months ago

3:44 am

Missing one H... Any ideas? he 4 11 hes 5 24 he 4 9 he 4 7 he 4 8 he 5 18 he 4 7 he 4 7 ho 4 8 ho 4 7 ho 5 16 ho 4 7 ho 4 7 ho 5 18 ho 5 16 ho 6 27 ho 5 16 ho 4 7 ho 5 16 ho 5 16 ho 7 40 ho 6 27

3:46 am

hugs, you are missing a ho5/16 almost identical to the one you have -- just a different letter ending it.

3:47 am

Sorry, Hugabugs, I don't have any you don't have... but I think your list will help me! Thanks!

3:48 am

I should clarify -- it's near your last ho 5/16.

3:49 am

Hugabugs, your missing a ho6/30 after the ho7/40

3:50 am

melissamay - thanks for claryfing... there's ho5/16x5 More than I realized

3:51 am

thanks everyone... I got it!

3:51 am

Sorry, SF is right -- I missed that one. It's just one letter ending different from your h6/27.

3:52 am

Yay!

3:52 am

Well, my last 16 words are just gonna have to wait till later. Almost 4 a.m. here and I gotta get to bed. G'nites everyone. Thanks for all the help

3:53 am

Thanks, everyone! That helped me polish off my 'h's'! Five words to go!

3:55 am

Goodnight, Hugabugs! Thanks for all the help!

3:55 am

Night hugs! Thanks for helping so much. And congrats sfneil for being so close. I'm missing 2 Ds. I have: de 6/21 de 7/32 de 4/5 dr 4/5 dr 5/12 dr 4/6 dr 4/9 dr 5/20 dr 5/12 dr 7/32 Anyone know what I'm missing? Thanks much!

3:56 am

getting there slowly ...101 words/4.87/1294pts any tips for ho 7 40?

3:57 am

melissamay your missing a de6/21... still checking...

3:58 am

mm, make that 2 de6/21s and a de5/12

3:59 am

Thanks sfneil, very much.

4:00 am

Dang, three missing. Bad news! I appreciate the help.

4:01 am

one de6/21 is a catch that locks a mechanism, but it sounds like what you might do when you break camp. de5 is to prevent or discourage from acting. the other de6/21 builds on it.

4:02 am

Great clues, sfneil! I got them all right away. I can't believe I didn't see them before. Thanks, thanks, thanks!

4:03 am

My pleasure, melissamay!

4:05 am

Ho's - is the 9th ho word a 5/16?

4:06 am

Yes it is.

4:06 am

Any hope for my lost L? le4/8 le5/18 le4/4 le5/10 le4/4 le5/12 le6/21 le5/12 le4/8 le4/8 lo5/10 lo4/4 lo5/10 lo6/18 lo4/4 lo5/10 lo6/18 lo5/10 lo4/4 lo5/10 lo6/21

4:07 am

9th ho builds of a ho4/7... it's the second person present tense form

4:10 am

There's a lo4/4 right before your first lo 5/10 -- I think you just forgot a singular.

4:14 am

But wait --- there's also the last lo 6/18, the last word that should be on your list, that's a plural of the last lo 5/10. So are there 2 actually missing?

4:14 am

According to stats I'm not missing any 4s. Just two 5s and three 6s.

4:15 am

Got it! Thanks melissamay!

4:16 am

No problem sfneil! Sorry for the confusion.

4:16 am

No worries. My eyes are crossed, anyway!

4:17 am

Mine too, yet I can't tear myself away. :)

4:17 am

Me either! So close... waaaah!

4:18 am

I see how I got confused -- I'm missing the very first lo5/10! Agh.

4:19 am

I found it! Thank you, monkeytyping!

4:19 am

Oh, I see. It's a fine-grained deposit of clay.

4:20 am

Oops, too late! Congrats!

4:21 am

What are you short, sfneil? I'm missing 5 e's and 2 s's. If I can help you with other letters, I will.

4:24 am

Thanks, melissamay! I'll help you too, if I can. somehow I'm missing 3 Rs and 1 S. Here's what I've got: re7 32 re4 5 re4 8 re5 18 re4 4 re5 10 re4 4 re5 12 re4 4 re5 10 re6 30 re7 44 re6 18 re6 18 re5 10 re8 40 re9 54 re4 7 re6 27 re7 40 re4 4 re6 21 se4 8 se5 18 se4 4 se5 10 se4 4 se5 10 se4 4 se4 4 se4 4 se4 4 se5 12 se4 4 se5 10 se4 4 se6 18 se7 28 sh4 8 sh5 16 sh5 16 sh5 18 sh6 30 sh4 7 sh4 7 sh5 18 sh5 16 sh6 27 sh5 16 sh5 16 sh4 7 sh5 16 sh6 27 sh7 44 sh7 40 sk4 8 sk5 18 sk4 9 sk5 22 sk6 36 sk5 22 sk6 36 sl5 18 sl6 30 so4 4 so5 10 so6 18 so8 45 so9 60 so6 21

4:25 am

Here are my Es. Let me know if you need clues. ed4/8 ee4/4 eg4/5 eg5/12 ek4/8 el4/8 el4/6 el4/4 en4/4 er5/12 er4/4 er5/10 es4/4 es5/18 es6/30

4:28 am

You are missing re 5/20 and re 6/33 -- to repair clothing, singular and plural. You are also missing a last re6/27 -- to blast again. I'll check the esses -- thanks for the e's!

4:30 am

Oh, on the clothing repair, think of the bottom seam coming undone, and what you have to do to fix it!

4:30 am

Thank you so much!!! Done, done and done. Just need that S now. Let me know which Es you need clues for.

4:31 am

Missing S is an s5, by the way.

4:33 am

To be clear, I mean MY missing S.

4:35 am

Found it by monkey-typing! I'm done! Hooray! I'll stick around for a while in case I can help. Would you like a list of all the s's?

4:35 am

It looks like you are missing a sh 5/16 -- perhaps "The abode of the dead in the Bible."

4:37 am

Sure, a complete s list couldn't hurt. And I'll get cracking on those e's! But don't feel you have to stick around to help if you are ready to call it a night :)

4:39 am

I already had the dead place. The sh5 I was missing is apparently a dried salt marsh. Here are the S's: se4/8 se5/18 se4/4 se5/10 se4/4 se5/10 se4/4 se4/4 se4/4 se4/4 se5/12 se4/4 se5/10 se4/4 se6/18 se7/28 sh4/8 sh5/16 sh5/16 sh5/18 sh6/30 sh4/7 sh4/7 sh5/18 sh5/16 sh6/27 sh5/16 sh5/16 sh4/7 sh5/16 sh6/27 sh5/16 sh7/44 sh7/40 sk4/8 sk5/18 sk4/9 sk5/22 sk6/36 sk5/22 sk6/36 sl5/18 sl6/30 so4/4 so5/10 so6/18 so8/45 so9/60 so6/21

4:39 am

I'll be around for at least a little while. Winding down, you know.

4:40 am

Thank you! I'm already stumped on ed4/8. Vowels are bad for me.

4:41 am

ed4/8 is a plural of a letter in Old English, Old Saxon, Old Norse, and modern Icelandic. Standard plural ending.

4:43 am

Got it! Thanks so much.

4:44 am

My pleasure. Happy to help!

4:46 am

With your list, I've got all the e's but one -- the er 5/10.

4:46 am

Sfneil and Melissamay - despite the chat log, don't worry, you're not the only two babbling at the minute! The grid today is certainly more productive than yesterday's. I'm using some of your clues to help.

4:47 am

Thanks Haz -- I was beginning to feel like the only one left puzzling over this :)

4:48 am

The British contingent will be getting underway soon!

4:48 am

melissamay - I'm still here - just looking for words.

4:49 am

melissamay, the er5 you'missing is one I got by monkey-typing, and the def is iffy. Think of stanzas in poems and remove the initial 'v' (it's plural)

4:49 am

Great clue sfneil -- got it right away!

4:50 am

Yay!

4:54 am

Ok, my very last word -- the se 5/10 between the two se/4s. Then you can go to bed, poor sfneil!

4:55 am

mm, it's plural of the se4!

4:56 am

oh wait, it may be second person present of the se4

4:58 am

Those who see into the future are se----. I predict a slapping of the head....

4:59 am

Or, it could be: "Material such as thread, wire, or gauze that is passed through subcutaneous tissues or through a cyst in order to form a sinus or fistula."

4:59 am

Oh! I got it!!! It's only in every other puzzle, my goodness. Thanks sfneil -- you have been a great help. Good night and sweet dreams!

5:00 am

Hurray, melissmay!! Congratulations!! Now we can both go to bed and abandon the brits! (just kidding)

5:00 am

Yes, sfneil, that was exactly what I was missing -- Mother Se___. Thanks thanks thanks!

5:01 am

Yes, her! Yay, Mother Se---!

5:01 am

The poor Brits, having to put up with insomniac Americans that can't find words because they are too dang tired -- I'm sure they'll be glad to see us go!

5:02 am

Well, at least we know we've left behind some helpful hints!

5:04 am

Not at all! You've given us hope that it can be done.

5:04 am

Yes, we certainly did, defeating this thing inch by inch, didn't we! Best of luck Haz, and to everyone else trying to finish! Good night!

5:05 am

Goodnight and good rest, melissamay! Good luck to Haz1558 and all the Brits and all Babblers everywhere!

5:06 am

Goodnight/morning to you both. Only 120 to go.

5:12 am

still there 101 to go the sh.. words are bugging me.

5:15 am

Does anyone have clues for the sh7/40 and sh7/44?

5:19 am

sh7/44 is sounds like it's related to firearms

5:23 am

Thanks Boysaway! That was a new one for me. I know that after that the sh7/40 should be obvious, but I'm still stuck. Also, I'm afraid to ask, because it's always utterly intimidating, but how many total words are there this time?

5:24 am

Eva - 215 words, and I don't have the sh7/40 yet either

5:26 am

I was afraid of that! I'll be going merrily along enjoying myself in ignorance, and then find out that when I think I've exhausted all possibilities there are still 100 words left. It gives me a headache.

5:30 am

there is another american hanging in there! sh...

5:31 am

she lives in the dutch lowlands and has shot eyes.

5:32 am

I'm an American, but not hanging in there - not a late nighter, but an early riser here in beautiful Vermont. What about the so9/60 anyone?

5:33 am

both sh7/44 and sh7/40 sound like they might have to do with what you've done when you've fired a gun. They are identical except for the last letter. Yes, I am going to bed now.

5:33 am

Eva - think of Shakespeare's so.....

5:36 am

Boysaway. I have the 6/18 and 8/45 versions of the Shakespeare, but can't for the life of me find the other poetic permutation. I must be going blind.

5:36 am

Eva - past tense

5:37 am

Eva, double the antepenultimate letter of your so8.

5:38 am

Thank you both!!!Now I can turn this off for a while and experience life as a being not connected to a keyboard.

5:40 am

And I can go to sleep, finally! (I just had to stick around to use the word "antepenultimate" one more time!)

5:41 am

And you spelt it correctly, as well!

5:43 am

Yes. I will dream well, tonight! Goodnight from San Francisco, Babblers!

5:46 am

Would someone who has all the S words save my sanity? I am missing the Se5/10 that is the 6th on the list and the 4/4 that either goes above or below that one. Any help out there? Please.

5:47 am

6th se5/10 sounds like where you go shopping

5:49 am

se4/4 sounds like shopping singular

5:50 am

still no sight of sh7/40 anyone?

5:52 am

sh7/40 sounds like a dodgy past tense for when you have sh4 someone - don't know how else to define it ... soz

5:52 am

SH7 - think firing range and elongate it.

5:54 am

dianne I have sh7/44 but can't see the clue for sh7/40

5:55 am

Same here.

5:55 am

S7 - change the last letter - you'll get it then.

5:55 am

Rhymes with rotten

5:56 am

Phew!

5:58 am

thanks boysaway!

5:58 am

Lucky - got another clue on the se words? I can't get them from the shopping thing - I'm brain drained!

5:58 am

Thanks Boysaway

6:00 am

diane sounds like .... robuck

6:01 am

Dianne haven't been to the states in a long time maybe it doesn't exist anymore?

6:01 am

Lucky - I have that 4/5 combo. Can't figure out just which 2 I am missing - UGH!

6:03 am

Lucky - are you an expat also?

6:04 am

Dianne teke the se 4/4 and make it plural then you get the se5/10 which sounds like a place where you shop

6:05 am

No expat just an american living in Holland where are you from Dianne?

6:08 am

Lucky - I got the last of the S words. I was missing the 4/5 that sounds like the animal. I'm from NY but living in Hong Kong.

6:12 am

I'm from NY too but left there long ago haven't been back too many times... too expensive. I'm missing a lot of animals I think. although I have the dogs. To which se4/5 are you reffering?

6:14 am

Se4 and 5 - sounds like a water mammal.

6:15 am

got it! thanks this is fun for funny eyes

6:17 am

Have 13 sh words is that all or am I missing some still?

6:18 am

Lucky - there are 18 SH words.

6:19 am

is anyone else having a problem with the stats grid?

6:21 am

What kind of problem? Mine seems to be OK

6:22 am

i've got 75 words but only 5 are showing up . . . weird

6:22 am

Thanks Diannne the more we chat the longer the log gets and the lists disappear from the screen.

6:23 am

in our togethernesses we can achieve dementednesses- just 2 possible words if the letters were in the right places

6:23 am

never mind! it's fine--maybe a bit of java will reorient my brain cells!

good morning - does anyone else have a letter missing between the D & L on thier puizzle?

6:40 am

you need to refresh

thx Uneaixoise - having to do a lot of that lately

6:45 am

Morning. Done a quick 98 but now struggling. How sad is that? Any clues to beginning of long words.

6:47 am

Hi, there is a great listing at 1.29 for the biggies

Wow! I only have one of those......work to do I think

7:17 am

anyone got a clue for de6/21? I'm dim!

7:18 am

Please Someone - help with the K6 and K7?!?!?

7:19 am

de6/21 a plural of de/5 12

7:19 am

the k7 is the k4/8 with a male child as the last 3 letters

7:20 am

I think the missing d6/21 is a word that sounds like something you'd do to clear a campsite :-)

7:20 am

thanks Kukana ^_^

7:20 am

Hi Lola, Miyavi, FMitch, Ferrari, Everyone :) ...from a surprisingly hangover-free zone :D Miyavi, that de6/21 - think if waht you get if you're a bad girl at school and take off the electrically charged atom on the end :)

7:20 am

Hi miyavi:) It is a plural of de5/12: To prevent or discourage from acting :)

Quick Miyavi, copy those Es before they disappear :) Lola, I will get the kettle on...big mug of frothy milk coffee with squirty cream, sprinkles and two flakes coming up (((x)))

9:36 am

Heh...already done, Anj! ^_^ yay...actually may have a chance of finishing today! *boogies*

9:36 am

Anj, you should not reward bad behavior. Will be in cupboard under stairs with dry toast and water until everyone forgets what I have just done.....

9:37 am

don't worry, I think we could all do with a lucky break on this one and it has given me my missing e, but there are still a lot of others to get. It's not like you told us the bulter did it ... oops!

9:37 am

darn .... u left out the ee word ... lol ... the only one i'm missing :)

9:38 am

Lola - if that's the worst thing you do this weekend, I think you're better than most!

9:38 am

just kidding .... i got that one too :p

9:39 am

Aaah, you guys are TOO nice *sniff*. And it's the worst thing I could do with a computer CSA....

9:40 am

Lola - I can lend you a 3 year old and 80 pounds of puppyhood and see what you do THEN with a computer!

9:41 am

CSA- LOL! I have the 3 year old but have resisted the puppy so far. Point taken! :)

9:42 am

...excuse me!

9:42 am

i now have 2 that I fostered from one of our local shelters and adopted within a week--no more fostering for moi!!

9:43 am

Lola - add the puppy - the bigger, the better. Give up your job to be a stay-at-home-mom. Move to the other side of the country for hubby's job. Take up online gaming. Then your life will be complete!!

9:44 am

Sorry Anj! *tickles tummy AND behind ears*

9:44 am

We're resisting fostering because we know we won't be able to give them up at the end. So we just donate to the no-kill shelters.

9:44 am

*wags tail* *makes mental note NOT to savage little black dress*

9:46 am

Haha...I'm not old enough to foster, but if anyone's considering I could use a change of scene! ^_~

9:46 am

CSA- done all of that, except I moved across an ocean and had to leave both my beloved bull- mastif's behind :'(

9:46 am

Oh, puppy can have the little black dress. It's the shoes and socks and pillows. Can't go in public and can't sleep.

9:48 am

Lola, any chance of returning across the ocean? Or adopting from a shelter? We have a shepherd/husky mix who spends 22 hours a day sleeping and 2 hours a day chewing on anything not guarded zealously.

9:48 am

*gasp* Anj! Would you turn on me that quickly?!

9:50 am

Don't be silly lol Miyavi, which patch of planet is yours?

9:51 am

CSA- This is home now. I try to go back to SA as often as possible tho', great place for a holiday. We have just moved house and small dog is on list of things to put right as soon as we settle in :) *whispers- don't tell Anj tho', think he may get jealous!*

9:52 am

Meh heh, good old England, Anj...though my friends are planning to parcel me up and post me to Japan, so maybe not for long ^_^

9:52 am

re8 and re9 are both based on the re5/10 (posted earlier) - could I have a clue for the re5/10 pretty please?

9:55 am

fmitch - re5 - what you might do to an alarm clock.

9:55 am

10:05 am

10:36 am

Tasmin, the first lo 5/10 I have refers to the person who is lo4/4 I do not have the lo 6 18...

10:36 am

Taasmin, my first lo5 is the opposite og gain with an e dropped in. Not sure if that's the one u want as I haven't gone after them all yet.

10:37 am

Anj- I always knew you only wanted me for my words...lol!

10:37 am

Different last letter from your lo6/21.

10:37 am

10:48 am

Thanks, Tasmin.

10:49 am

Tasmin, my brain & fingers are in mortal combat over control of the keyboard, with the fingers waging a small but aggravating guerrilla war on the spelling. That 'of' was caught in the crossfire lol

10:49 am

deb- *bliush* you are welcome. Think it might be an re4/4 but let me check.

10:49 am

deb, did you find the 4th re4/4?

Anybody else into American Wrestling (WWE, TNA etc.)?

3:49 pm

Sorry, Movieman, can't say I've ever been interested. But my husband was friends with one of our local wrestlers here quite a few years ago -- Hulk Hogan. Maybe you've heard the name ?

3:52 pm

Cathy - I certainly have. Didn't he go up against Rocky Graziano in the early 80's?

3:53 pm

Sorry, I meant Rocky Balboa...(slaps forehead again!!!)

3:54 pm

Movieman -- Haven't the faintest idea. I just knew him as a friend. He worked out a lot at a local gym that was only two door down from a gameroom we owned back about 25 years ago, and he and my husband became friends and shared a few beers now and then. But I know NOTHING about wrestling :)

4:35 pm

Could someone help me with the ho 4/8? I just can't find it.

5:51 pm

I just got here a bit ago... about halfway through & thinking about some help soon... tyvm!

5:51 pm

This was my wild out of town weekend, me & the Sprite just got home a few hours ago...

5:52 pm

AEuser - the other de6/21 is what happens when someone nicks your tent!

5:53 pm

mmm Tea,chocolate a babble grid & stats from brandyjack. My life just got better.

5:54 pm

snowyowl - where in Wales you to? Im originally from the Valleys.

5:55 pm

I'm originally fron Swansea but now live in Ammanford about 20 miles west.Where are you now?

5:56 pm

could anyone give me a clue or two for the lo 6/21 and lo 6/18 please.

5:57 pm

thank you dachef!

5:57 pm

Now living in sunny Bournemouth - move around quite a bit thru work. Managed to get back home last week for a friends wedding, and I have to say the Valleys are looking pretty grim. Not a lot of employment, and my home town's in a bit of a state.

5:57 pm

Hey there, snowyowl, how are you this evening?

5:58 pm

mind you, Ive lived all over the country from London to Manchester, and the Welsh are still the friendliest people in the universe!!!

5:58 pm

Hi Jera - fine thankyou. Did you have a good time out of town?

6:00 pm

Ah Dachef it's because we're nosy & we like to talk. I'd probably get a* if there was a qualification for that. I'm all for good communication!

6:02 pm

The Welsh also have the most melodious way of pronouncing English, I LOVE it!

6:02 pm

Yes, it was a wonderful night for a MoonDance!

6:03 pm

It's cos we love to sing swmbo. some stereotyping is true.

6:05 pm

She-She I have 2 6-18 If you have one of them just change a middle letter. The 6-21 is a tricky clue. When you set money aside it is similar, but drop the first letter.

6:06 pm

thanks mom, I will work on it. I got the 6/18, just working on the 6/21.

6:08 pm

now i'm looking for help on the te 6/18, thanks

6:09 pm

Thanks mom, I got it. Duh!

6:10 pm

AEuser - its the same as your te5/10, just a little bit more!!!

6:11 pm

thanks again dachef! :)

6:11 pm

Snowy, sometimes stereotypes are stereotypes because they are TRUE LOL

6:13 pm

She-She Glad to be of help, even though I am slower than mollasses today.

6:13 pm

stereotypes are not always true - Im Welsh and my singing voice sounds like a shaved cat plunged into a salty bath.

6:14 pm

how many words do you have mom? I have 166 and I have been at it since about 1:30 on and off through the day.

6:14 pm

But I bet you still do it Dachef even if its only when no-one can hear!

6:15 pm

And it is not so much can you sing, but do you like music?

6:16 pm

no, actually I do it even when people can hear - if nothing else it usually gets a laugh. People keep telling me I should go on XFactor, cos Im so bad Id be sure to make the highlights!!!

6:16 pm

She-She. I think I started about 4. Only 87 words.

6:17 pm

You are going about the same pace as me. Debs list really helps. I start at the bottom and work up so I don't have to keep scrolling up and down. All I know is that I need to get back to work fast, or I am going to become a Babble junkie!

6:28 pm

jakesmum have you finished still got 10 to go and there driving me mad

6:28 pm

anyone have a clue for the no 5/10 or the no 6/26

6:29 pm

Dr god, I'm sure torgone will be estatic

6:31 pm

She-She. One of the no is in the middle of your face times two

6:32 pm

Thanks mom, I have that one, I need the last no 5/10, sorry.

6:32 pm

sorry, second to the last no 5/10

6:33 pm

She-She Just add a letter to one of the four letter words

6:33 pm

okay, I'm getting tired. the no 2/27, not 26

6:34 pm

never mind..I can't get the numbers right. Thanks mom your other one helped.

6:35 pm

She-She Later, I need a break.

6:36 pm

later mom--Love you.

6:40 pm

Another plea for help, I'm looking for a hint for my last N, ne 6/21 (I already have the past tense of catching something with a net)

6:41 pm

how about the present tense of one who is using the net....

6:42 pm

more people need to sign up for the message boards!

6:42 pm

Nevermind, that's an 18. which I found from your clue....

6:44 pm

AEuser -- use the first ne4/4

6:44 pm

ne6/21 is the past tense of a kind of light

6:44 pm

thanks swmbo and brandyjack

6:44 pm

damn i get ignored *all* the time.

6:45 pm

We're not ignoring you, we just don't notice you...

6:45 pm

plurple, didn't mean to ignore you sorry

6:46 pm

sorry plurple, didn't mean to exclude you, i didn't see your message when i posted, not that I really buy the past tense of that ne 4/4 as a word anyone would use in conversation

6:46 pm

neither of you did it. but it's not just this once. i usually say stuff and no one pays attention. i think it's because i'm so young and out of the loop.

6:47 pm

how can we tell you're young, we're all just names

6:47 pm

want to be ignored? using Texting. We'll ignore you right quick. No matter what your age is...

6:48 pm

plurple--I get ignored all the time too, it's just that the chat moves quickly and out of sight. I figure noone actually saw my message....or did they?

6:48 pm

You know, I feel ignored soetimes too, but I think it is not being ignored so much as people are focusing on the grid. How old are you plurple?

6:49 pm

didn't make sense of your message at all brandyjack. aeuser, moreso on my end

6:50 pm

Some younger people have used text messaging script in here and it is really hard to read...

6:50 pm

Texting: r u thr m8?

6:50 pm

i'm 21. i think i should just stop chatting so much. it's my own fault

6:50 pm

7 to go a bit stuck i need er5, es4, re5,re6,so6,te4,to6 not sure of the point value for each one . can anyone help please

6:51 pm

er 5, to have made a mistake

6:51 pm

Too funny brandyjack

6:52 pm

No, no plurple, you are just feeling a bit self conscious. We all do sometimes. Continue to play and continue to post. We're not that scary, really

6:52 pm

es4 sounds like a couple of the letter afte r

6:52 pm

Back again... Oggy, es4 - more than one letter S or maybe a series of bends...

6:53 pm

alright <3

6:53 pm

is the heart considered text language, brandyjack?

6:53 pm

Trying to finish off my l's and there is that last le5 that is killing me

6:55 pm

No, those are called emoticons. Emotion Icons. Not likely find anyone objecting to those. It's the texting or 'leet speek that really twists our knickers..... English is hard enough without someone too lazy to spell it all out....

6:55 pm

I have the veggie one and the legal one. can anyone steer me in the right direction?

6:55 pm

swmbo, which one is the "last" one?

6:56 pm

brother can you spare a clue.... I have 183 words and 2672 points. Double my all time high. I have to quit before I go nuts with the r's. Could someone give me a clue for the re 9/54 so I can leave feeling good?

6:56 pm

I love that heart plurple, even if it is. What I'd like to know is how! PLEASE does anyone have my last to4 . I have the 2 to do with feet, the one to do with sound and the one that means rubbish.

6:57 pm

Sheila is this good enough: rese**ers 9 54 HAHA

6:58 pm

6:58 pm

THANK YOU plurple. I can now go in peace. Everyone have a great evening. "See" you tomorrow.

6:58 pm

snowyowl, have you got the to4 which means throw?

6:59 pm

7:06 pm

I've got both of those... but thanks!

7:06 pm

7:06 pm

any clue for to6/18 please

7:06 pm

My icon was drawn by another Babbler who is an artist for another site we both belong to. It shows me as a little girl with ringlets and wearing a kilt (because I live in Nova Scotia) and pointing imperiously, as my full name is SheWhoMustBeObeyed. The letters SWMBO are across the chest of the yellow sweater, but it has been shrunk so small they are illegible. :)

7:07 pm

Ty plurple for the 1st sh

7:08 pm

swmbo - thanks for the reply . See us welsh are nosy!

7:14 pm

haha i give the easy clues so you got them then?

7:14 pm

still working on it, but it helps to have the score and first three letters narrowed down

7:15 pm

Good point Anj, but she drew what she drew and I have used it for nearly 7 years now, so I really identify with it.

No worries...it's that time of night lol 4 to6/18s in order: 1) gym equipment and plural of a to5/10 2) & 3) are both built from the same word, another to5/10 which is a metric ton Both differ in just the last letter...and one's a plural 4) antone bowling a beamer in cricket could be accused of being a full-t***er There's also a to6/27 which builds on your to4/7 meaning rubbish

8:06 pm

it must be the 6/27 because i havnt got that one

OOOPs I have the crazy de 7 word..... too much reality not enough puzzle time....

9:06 pm

Morning all - looking for my last 2 L words. I need Le4. I have the herb, the oggle, shelter and money. Any clues? also need Lo5. Ihave 5/10 x 4. Any help appreciated.

9:18 pm

Yeah - got the le4. Now need that last lo5 to finish the L words.

9:25 pm

Hi. I see there are 2 8s & 2 9s. Can I have hints for them please?

9:36 pm

Minksi - re8/40 & re9/54 (plural of the re8) are extensions of your re5/10. A clue - if all the stones had fallen out or come loose in your ring you might take it to the jeweller's to be re5/10. The person who did that would be an re8/40 and if more than one person did it they would be re9/54. So8/45 & so9/60 are extensions of your so6/18. Your so 6/18 is something Will Shakespeare wrote quite a few of.

9:37 pm

OMG! I got the SO9 by mistake!

9:38 pm

Minski - So 8 and 9 - think Elizabeth Browning.

9:38 pm

Dianne - the last lo5 is the name of a regular (and somewhat cheeky) Babbler, but with the 2nd vowel rather than the 3rd at the end of it.

9:39 pm

Dianne - failing you getting that clue, think of another word for 'Bingo' and change the vowel at the end.

9:40 pm

I feel so stupid because I got the SO6 & the SO9 but I can't figure out the SO8.

9:42 pm

OK. Got the 9s and 1 8. Will keep working on the SO8.

9:43 pm

minski - some words can be spelled two ways...=)

9:46 pm

Anyone want a single (cup of) tea?

9:47 pm

Thanks Jacula and LLama. See what happens to your brain when you take an entire day off from Babble?

9:53 pm

LOL, Minski. We (me & other half) finished hours ago. I just popped in here to see how others were doing. Glad to be of help.

10:09 pm

See you later fellow Babblers. Good luck to those still babbling this grid.

10:40 pm

enough sports final is on so it time for bed. tata til the morrow

10:51 pm

how do they figure your ratings, anyhow?

11:01 pm

hi...can anyone help me with my last no5? I've got the following: non 5/10 nos 5/10 not 5/10 not 5/10 (that's the first three letters, not the first two and the last letter). thanks so much to anyone who can help! =)

11:07 pm

llama - it is another non. Which one do you have (meaning & points)?

11:11 pm

Dianne - I have the one that means "ninth day before the ides of a month"...10pts

11:12 pm

ooooh - I just found it! thanks Dianne - I just needed to know it was another non apparently! =)

11:15 pm

clue please for so 8 I have 4/5/6 & 9 monkey typing is not working....TIA only 62 words to go

11:43 pm

Blaze - it's an alternate spelling of your so9. =)

11:48 pm

Blaze - what else do you need?

11:48 pm

llama many thanks I thought I had tried that one but must not of had the right letters in the right place...

11:49 pm

Dianne I have 44 words to go I will not be crushed not to finish this one.... to much reality today ??

11:50 pm

Blaze - do you have all the biggies?

11:51 pm

diane I have the so 9 but not the re 9

11:51 pm

I missed the clues for so 8 & 9 can someone help

11:52 pm

If you have the re8 make it plural. If you don't then think that you have to place somethning again and then make that plural.

11:53 pm

so 8 and 9 - think Elisabeth Barret Browning. Fiddle with the spelling.

11:55 pm

so 8 & 9 def: A 14-line verse form usually having one of several conventional rhyme schemes. keep adding endings

11:57 pm

sot them, thanks
