My icon shows a presentation which I received when I was guest of honour on June 12th 2011 at the National Maritime Museum in Sydney for the launch of two 60c Commemorative stamps, one of them bearing a picture of my father, Fred Mills, taken when he was aged 17 years old, and serving in the Royal Navy on board HMAS Australia in 1918.

I served in the Women's Royal Naval Sevice (Wrens) in the 1950's. 1st husband ex-Navy, (we married in Malta GC) 2nd husband ex-Royal Marine Commando (passed away May 2009)
Have 4 (grown up) children, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.
Also step-son, 2 s/grandchildren and 3 s/gr-grandchildren

I sing in a Ladies Choir, and have travelled all over with it including California; Toronto; Alencon, France; Malta; Euskirchen/Stotzheim, Germany; Weimar, East Germany; Leiden, Holland; plus several concert engagements all over the UK.
