Hi Rose :)
BBL
hooooonk, hoooonk. *passing ships in the night....lol
good morning all
{{hugs}} sprite. good morning dear. how are you today?
*hugs rose* am ok, darling. And you?
ditto, hun. haven't done much today. the paperwork has st5ed to arrive. it is really doing my head in.
aw sweetie :( That is so nasty, isn't it. Too much, and too complicated, and too much confrontation with everything that is wrong about the whole situation. Am so sorry. Can your union rep help? Or the lawyer?
there's a 50 page questionnaire for the disability support pension. and now the lawyer has sent me paperwork for workcover. but...i have filled out and returned my exit papers for my ex-employer, and signed and posted the authority forms for release of my medical reports to lawyer.
good job, dear friend. You are coming out on top as usual. *hugs*
i said todon, i will just have to tackle it a few pages at a time. that's all i can handle. my brain shuts down, and if he tries to push me i get snaky.
yeah, the last thing you need is to be pushed. Your pace, not his. Your brain shutting down is your system telling you enough is enough. I really think you should do this with somebody to help you.
i was wondering about that. i think if don was beside me, i would probably draw strength from that. and he can do all the jumping up and down, fetching the information i need.
yep, that would be great. And tell him up front that when you say STOP, it means stop and the session is over until you say it is time to start again.
it's quite funny really. as it's my disability which is preventing me from just getting on with it.
ikr! It was the same for me. Driving me absolutely bananas. Had to prove I couldn't do certain things anymore... by doing them. Yeah, right. God help us all.
oh, and we have worked out why the manary wouldn't sit on his perches. the shell-grit covered one hurt his feet, and the plain plastic ones were to slippery. i have covered those ones with sand-paper covers, and now he is sitting up high in his cage trilling his little heart out.
awwww he is happy :) Good detective work, that.
lol...don thinks he was afraid of falling off the plain plastic perches...i mean...it gives a whole new meaning to falling off your perch...
roflol
sprite?? have you heard from pugs yet?
no sweetie. I think she is beat from driving up and down there.
probably so. i'm just concerned a little. it's so unlike her to not even drop a line or two to us.
yes it is. Am worried too.
maybe i'll email her again.
we can do that, and let her know that just a single line will do for now :)
Just to know she is safe.
done
same, lol
*smiling at you* sister
:D it always works!
pugs was here a few games ago, remember? she chatted with zooz and said to tell us all was okay.
yes, but that was before driving all the way back home
but it's not the same as hearing it from her own sweet hands.
ahhhh. that makes sense...
no, we need our pugs back
must remember to ask her what babble time she is here nowadays. maybe we can time it to be here too.
yes, that would be good
whoever sees her first, asks, right?
will do
now, we just need to dredge up liz girl and the gang will be complete.
indeed. Liz is irregular, like me
oh, i am so not touching that one....roflol
lolllllll nah, that I don't know about Liz. Me... always have been. But even more nowadays, going through the flares and all.
Hi, ladies :)
hehehe speaking of the angels! There she is. Hi Liz *hugs*
oh, sprite. i think don is losing it. we drove all the way to the bank so he could withdraw some cash, only for him to discover he had left his cards at home. * sigh * i think i will have to type up a check list for him, and put it next to the front door.
Hugs to you too
{{hugs}} liz girl...were your ears burning?
How are you both?
lol, give the man a break. We all forget stuff like that once in a while.
I said I'd be back!
liz, centrelink is trying to do my head in.
am good. Bit of trouble sleeping, but otherwise good! How about you, and your wonderful husband?
Hate all those formalities! Council people seem to love paper work!
ummm, sprite, i hear...oh, i forgot.....several times a day. it's a little disturbing.
We're fine. Took long, long beach walk today, followed by lunch out!
ain't that the truth! "Write down in clear sentences why you are not able to write a coherent text."
oh, loverly liz. so invigourating.
oh wow, sounds wonderful, Liz!
Hm! Message into the ether!
Beautiful spring weather. Finally not too windy today.
it is always funny to me, how you guys go into spring while we drift towards autumn here.
liz, have been gently nudging don along. once this hooha has settled, we are coming up for a few days.
Yippee!
oooo that is wonderful!
we are both so ready for a break.
I hear you. Sounds like just what you need
Can't think of a better place!
you guys make a pic and send it to me, right?
sorry, i had to dash...my gut is still playing up. btw, sprite, did you manage to find the immodium?
Of course! Straight from my phone.
lol....with don and i in the pic, we had better use a wide-angle lens...
Is that a reaction to. N
oh that is so nasty, am so sorry rose. Yes, I have the immodium. Just holding off taking it until I have seen the specialist and asked.
is that a reaction to new medication? Unpleasant for you.
cut it out, rose. You guys are beautiful the way you are. Won't be a problem for any camera.
okay, sprite. of course, it is wisest to make sure it is okay for you to take.
liz, a reaction to stress.
Like sprite said, Rose!
Nasty whatever.
and try telling workcover that it is related to my injury. i was 17 kgs lighter when i fell.
How did your weekend clear up go, sprite?
yes, especially because we are going to look into the whole incontinence thing. Wouldn't want to muddle the waters. Muddle? Um... not sure of the word.
brb, just heard the motorbike pull in4 our drive.
Work over seem to have their own story and agenda!
Muddy the waters.
* muddy * sprite
Liz, you wouldn't believe how much stuff we have thrown out. Clothes, garbage, books. So much. My own room isn't done yet, but we made a huge dent in it all.
ah, that was it. Muddy the waters. Lol. Thank you. Brb, got a potty to break ;)
That's awesome! Hubby has started de cluttering here too but we've got a long way to go.
lol, there you are...in duplicate/stereo
sprite, your english is way better than my dutch....lol...
How's the building work going!
Careless punctuation! Using iPad.
liz, i am trying to slow him down. the vibration from the air-chisel is causing him so much pain.
He needs to look after himself first? Slow and sure.
Muddling ? And ! Today.
lol, liz girl....whatever you say, dear. * backs away slowly, avoiding eye contact*
Lol
liz, the brick chimney which backs in4 the laundry have been rendered with plaster. we * insert he * have to remove that before we can take any more bricks down.
Sounds like a lot of work. Did you finally lose the battle to get in workmen?
yup...don is firm in his resolution to do it all himself. but i have told him...if we get to 2 years....i am calling in a builder, no matter what.
Or if it causes too much pain
yeah, that too. he has severe arthritis like me, poor man.
Hubby doing most of it here too - except for crawling in e roof.
back :D
Ouch!
wb sprite
liz, don even crawls in the roof space. i can't tell you how many times my heart has been in my mouth.
Welcome back. Did I see earlier that neither of you has heard from pugs. I also emailed her earlier this week.
*sends rose a footlocker for don*
Hubby hurt his back last time in the roof. Went in4 spasm, so def won't do it again. He doesn't want to and I won't let him.
amen to that. Priority must be living to an old age together.
Very true!
*pictures rose dragging Don by his ear to the puter to read this*
Lol
lol
fireflies
WTG SPRITE!!!
Congrats, sprite :)
thank you :) Wish I could stay, but I can't. Stuff to do. Boring stuff. Household stuff. *hugs* to you both, and a *hug* for your husbands too. Pace yourself, rose... take care of yourself and don't let anybody rush you. And to all, a blessed day and a peaceful night.
Have a great day - don't overdo it. Hugs
ditto sprite, pace yourself, dear. xoxox
Time for me to go too. Take it easy, Rose. Hugs
okay, liz. enjoy your evening, dear. xoxox
Hi fellow Babblers
g'day dianne. how are you today, dear?
I'm good Rose. How are you managing?
dianne, still hanging in there. physically, coasting. but i have been deluged with paperwork. it is doing my head in....lol
I imagine the paper work is difficult but even more so is that it makes you continually think about what happened to you.
dianne...it is part of my disability...i try to complete the paperwork, and then my brain shuts down. * sigh * i will get there...it might take a little longer than other people.
and my lawyer is on the move....lol....i have to be proud of him...
Well, you just keep plugging away (at your own speed) and get this all done so you can get on with the good stuff that is ahead for you.
absolutely, dianne...i hear you
Rose, have you ever heard of freezing a baked potato?
yes, dianne. we have frozen roast vegs available in our supermarkets.
i don't think it would be crunchy, like a freshly cooked one.
I am going to do that. I am making baked potatoes tonight and need to "use them or lose them" so I'll freeze the excess and see how they are when thawed.
perhaps, when you thaw them, warm them up in the microwave oven, the give them a quick fry in the frying pan to crisp them up.
Good idea - thanks
If you have any whole jacket potato left you can leave them to go cold. Then scoop out the white flesh put them in4 a freezer bag .Freeze both as normal. Then when it comes to re-using .just pop the potato skin into oven for about 5-10 mins to crisp up and thawed out flesh back inside.Almost good as new :-)
wow, zooz....and g'day, mate
Hello everyone :-)
zooz - that is great. This way if I want I can just have potato skin or the whole thing. Thaks
More than elcome.I have done it a few times.I often put the flesh back in4 the skin mixed with tuna & mayo. Delish!
Welcome*
Down to 11 more to find.Taking a break for now.
hello friends

she was a lovely, lovely woman...married 63 years...I can't even imagine
obviously she was a keeper. how amazing is that.
... oh oh ... second flock of geese flying low heading for the wetlands down by the lake this morning ... as they say in the north of Westeros ... Winter Is Coming

g'day dosef
... and to you ...
Hi Dose
hi dose
... morning
and tertiare is off....so sleepy and tired, but liking her second year of HS thus far
:)
she was excellent with Grammy on the ride home yesterday
in what way?
Just letting her ramble on, but acting very interested in what she was saying
oh, she has a lifetime of experience pretending to listen. haha
Well I was very grateful for her being able to do that so I could decompress a little
Well, I have at least 2 or more for each letter, so that is something for me today
I have never thought of looking at the grid that way - what a good way to do it car!
Morning folks
Hello Bichon
morning bichon
Hi car, Trif
Our state fish is in the grid trif
ch 7...what a great word
I have a FB etiquette question -= I have a friend who regularly uses a emoticon symbol she thinks means "hugs" but she is doing it wrong, and making the symbol for , er, something else. Do I say?
extend it for an 8 car
Let it go
I did
... invented by Lewis Carroll in The Jabberwocky
The ch word?!?!?!
really dos? How interesting!
ty guys for the ch 7/8
yeah..ch..
Wow....just went to type "gors" and typed "rose" instead. WTF?!?!?
... actually I may have the wrong poem ...
lol...why are you so surprised, car??
It's one of those days car. Hint for your state fish, pls
quohog?
good morning everyone:)
Trif, did you hear of the two kayakers off Plymouth who got upended by a shark. There was a bit taken out of their kayaks, but they were rescued
Hi crossy
chortle
oops.. sorry, not awake
Good morning Crossy
oh geesh, no bichon!! how awful!
and yet - what a story!
According to my friend who is a firefighter, the kayaks saw seals and something going on and paddled over there.
I saw it on CNN
Where's Scrabs? She'd love that story
ah....curiosity killed the kayak
Phantom: matador
g'day crossy.a quieter day for you, mate?
yes, will be a bit slower today. Am in the scholatic groove now and there is no honey-do list for afterwards
(suspects crossy has just reveled true reason he went back to school)
Yes, I slept through the 70's
I can barely see atm. yesterday knocked the stuffing out of me
{{Crossy}} pours crossy a cup of coffee and puts on classical music to ease him into reality
My beloved is enjoying herself in class:)
Yay!
Bichon...do you still need the fish clue?
I think I will go back to sleep myself for a bit...as I can! morning all
Shall I send a wake up call?
no no, I am all set
OK. sleep sweet
See you in a bit
There, coffee is served:)
yes car I do
crossy...you were on my mind today.
don and i were out for lunch...he had pancakes, poached eggs, bacon.......and maple syrup.
mmmmm..bacon...
I find it kind of funny;because of babble I have hundreds of women, from all over the world thinking about me every time they eat bacon:))
granny, where do you get your maple syrup from?
SC 5/14
lol crossy
roflol...oh crossy...if you only knew....
and also an alternate spelling SC 6/27
ty car, and a yoummy fish that is
Yes it is!
bichon, the only maple syrup i buy has to be the product of canada. any others taste watered down.
sadly, bacon has become more expensive here that a good steal. it is now selling for $6.00 plus tax for a mere 375 grams(about 3/4 of a pound!
have to love our syrup;)
So it's imported. I had trouble imagining maple sugaring in Austrailia
I'm off for a bit. HAGD all! {{group}}
by car
you may not think it to look at it, but some of the best stuff is the Quebec #1 grade light syrup they sell in cans
enjoy your day, car
2nd column bottom T help please?

Hi all :)
howdy liz
Good start to the term, crossy?
we are separated by a common language:) lol
very good so far liz. Going to be a heavy work load though:(
sorry but that not left clue is confusing me
That's not so good - is the course just for one term?
wb liz girl
yes, just for a single term.
mlf - 2 letter abbreviation for not left.
Hi Rose :)
You babble late these days, Rose.

*smug look * i don't have to get up so early either...lolol
I know you chat after you've finished the grid!
Clue for the tr 8 pretty pls!!!!
Of course - no work, no get up early, so stay up late! Totally understand.

Hate getting up early!
ty granny
Silly word! Thanks.
ty granny

mlf, to7, to + *en*, money paid to landlord + m***, mph
mlf - to + 2 letter abbreviation for not left + m*** (mph) - 7 letters.
I think it is a fishing term, Liz. My husband always tieshis boat to the trot
That was Rose's clue, not mine!
i know lizin but its not working
That's Jaxx. I didn't know that and probably wouldn't have guessed it!
ah granny the 2nd clue you gave worked for me
Good, mlf :)

Hi, Rose. How's things?

ty granny

ar 4/5 - parts of a circle
yay mlf. well done
jaxx, did i ever tell you about dying my hair pink? it was in support of breast cancer.
Cool thing to do
that's where my hair was first dyed pink about 5 years ago.
Whatever raises funds for cancer research/treatment i am all for it:)
on pink ribbon day, i shaved my head, fund raised over $2,000. a leading surgeon shaved his head at the same time, to support me.
Fantastic! Agree with Crossy
I got so many rude comments that I decided to make it permanent just for devilment
We do a terry Fox run here. it does well and raises a lot of money
yay you jaxxx
I like your style, Jaxx:)
Yay Jaxx! I love that attitude!
gm, everyone!
Hi lbd
howdy, lbd
breast cancer awareness month is Oct, right?
my beautiful friend died from breast cancer at 47. she left 2 young daughters and her hu\bby. he died a year later, a ruptured abdominal aortis aneurysm. it left the girls orphanns, raised by her sister.
That
;(
g'day lbd and sue
That's so sad :( I've heard you talk about those girls before I think.
I am going on 70 now and my Grandmother at the same age had white hair that she had rinsed a different colour evry week. She also wore outrageously coloured clothes but I haven't followed her there.
:)
hi liz, hi crossy, hiya rose, hi sue.
awww, jaxxx, go for it, hun. raise as many eye-brows as you can.
hi all
that's great, jaxx!
us oldies tend to become invisible but there is no way they can ignore bright pink hair.
liz girl...i will NEVER forget my friend. like sprite, she was a soul-sister.
having mastered life to the age of 70, i would thing you would not give two farts in the wind what anyone things of what you like to do. If it feels good, do it!
thinks*
jaxx, you with pink hair...me with the wild socks. i have the most eclectis socks you could wish for..
i can see that today is going to be a bad day for typos
Friends like that don't come by too often Rose.
le 7/40 clue please
yeah, liz. i have been blessed. two soul sisters in one life time.
When you make it to the Netherlands - can't wait to hear all about it!
I have changed, crossy. I used to be self effacing but now you can't ignore me. Yesterday my friend and I ordered sausage casserole and when it came she had two small slices and I four, not even half a sausage. We went and complained and the manageress had two full sausages cooked for each of us. I would never have done that in my youth.
gran a type of chicken. lower limb + noise from car to make other drivers aware
i only have le6 - how long
ty rose
yaaa for jaxx! fight for those sausages!
lolol, jaxx. yay for you
I didn't pay for loads of onion and little else. I have rights you know. lol
now you know where to bring your business
It is time for lunch noe. No sausage casserole today. bbl
Bon appetit

tc jaxx. i have 15 minutes left and i shall be off as well
Thanks, liz.

Thanks Rose. Yes mlf - the ch 7/8 describes Aussie magpies.
Well, their sound anyway -very different from UK magpies.

Torn between finding my last 18 words and my book!
liz if you find your last 18 words you will have more time to read
what mlf said, liz. and i am here
Ah! True mlf, but I've also got tomorrow morning. It's 10.21 pm here now.
Morning, I'm late, I'm late...
Hi Sukee
whoot, g'day sukee
hi sukee
How can I resist Rose and mlf!
I slept in today and I'm all off :)
hi sukee
liz how much reading time do you allow yourself each day?
As much as I like, mlf! That's the beauty of retirement!
Seriously though, it depends on what I'm doing during the day and I usually read at night too.
well then get the grid down and then you can really read all you want
yay, got my first 8
Lol! I like spacing it out and sometimes, if I leave the last few til the morning, I see more words then!
oc6?
Personally, I read for an hour in bed every night.
When I was working, that's what I did too. i read more now and I love that.
oc6, oc + first letter of woody plant + french word for king

It's hard to remember that some people around the world are only just starting out on the grid.

liz girl...like i do...all they have to do is turn off the chat.
I need to go make some breakfast, will be back
That's true but some people get irritated by it.

Hi rose and Liz teach River et al
ruby, no molly, and crossy has gone off to school

lol
easy class, ruby
ditto ruby
I really admire Crossy's willingness and fortitude
Me too - I couldn't go back to school - not to study nor to teach!
I think I'd even have trouble with 30people in one room....
Hi ruby
{{bichon}}
hello bichon
How ya doing?
ruby....years ago i tried to convert my qualification to a degree. when i saw the first two units of study, i chucked the lot into the garbage. they were the psychology of working in a team....for goodness sake...i could have written the text book on that...
company coming for cocktails (because of DIL) so I made sangria and gazpacho
I'll be there. Wait for me
sounds lovely - I'll be on the next flight, if you can wait!!!
me too, me too
the last time she was here, she helped me reconstruct my recipe in written form as I've always just "winged it". In looking at the recipe today, I realized I had left out all kinds of technical details. Bad nel!
Can you fit in two more guests
bichon, she will just have to, we're crashing!
The gazpacho is my specialty, in the style of Madrid
There is plenty and I promise anybody who makes it to Veyrier, that I'll make a huge bowl, even if it's winter!
*calling travel agent
Just go to the airport

Hi, Ibda, How are you this morning?
i love mercedes lackey
Hi, Grannyrose, how are you today?
Wasn't being rude, Annie - it was suggested I finished the grid before I read!
doing well, button, and you?
g'day button doing well thanx...and you?
Me too, lbd. I'm working my way through Valemar - reading Winds of Fury now.
Valdemar*
Liz, I was sending you off. I know it was suggested that you finished the grid first. I would never think you were being rude
I hope you enjoy all of Mercedes Lackey's books. she's an amazing author
st8. st5, begin + **ft, not right + first letter of not left side
Valdemar is my favorite, but also enjoy her elemental series.
I thought at first that she was too derivative of Anne McCaffrey (love her) but now she's developed her own style, so I'm much happier.
tr8. horse's gait + a straight **** is the shortest distance between two points
Loved McCaffrey too, sorry she passed on. Haven't read any of her son's work.
I'm sure that I'll read more of hers but I've got about 30 Mercedes Lackey books in ibooks, all waiting to be read.
I've read some of Todd McCaffrey - basically the Pern books.
well, enjoy the reads! are you on goodreads? I'd love to follow you and share in your reviews.
He's kept true to his mother's legacy.
be back later
No, I'm not on goodreads. I just read for my own enjoyment.
i'll have to pick up his books then.
I hope you enjoy them.
that's what i like about goodreads, you read at your own pace and review when you're done...if you want to.
lbd, i was on goodreads, but cyber bully and his girlfriend are there also. i would rather not have anything to do with them.
I'm off to bed and my book now. Thanks for all the clues. Sleep well Rose and hugs and everyone else enjoy your days. Good reason for me to stay away from goodreads and I was going to look!
isn't there a way to delete them from your following, rose?
i'm very selective as to who i've invited to my reading room.
no lbd....but it's okay....i have plenty of access to new books through my local library.
it makes me mad and sad when others ruin an experience for others. boo hiss and splotches for bully and friend.
sweet dreams, Liz
nighty night liz. sweet dreams dear friend

Thank God I didn't have to get in a time machine and go back to medieval times
... there was a cr10 in the grid about six months ago that builds from it
I was going to sign up for that course in medieval architecture, but gosh darn it, it was full.
I am not crazy about words that begin with "en"
having said that I am moving on

The mah jongg game is here today

sorry oops found it
I don't know Dose, people do that "never mind" thing pretty quick in here
I wouldn't say not being able to clue in under 60 seconds is "too slow" : D
... I can't comment ... back when I was a starving college student working summers for a small life insurance company I was forever going back to my supervisors desk to ask him a question and then would see the answer half way through asking the question ...
... it was a standing joke in the office
But you did comment : D
molly i was just too quick i had been looking for a while and couldnt find it until just after i had asked
TO 7/36
?
... it all depends if I've already found the word ... if it's there I can usually beat MLF though I'm less that 50% at beating Molly ... but ... I haven't found the O's yet
Molly, we're driving to DC tomorrow for a wedding. Any road problems that you know of?
... someone earlier said ... "the portable light" not off
dose yes you are quck most times:0
Other than the usual traffic, no. Although I don't know which way you come down here. I always go around 95 as it is a mess all the time.
ty dose that got me two more words
molly is right 95 is always a nghtmare
We take 95 but we don't take the beltway. We just go through DC
bichon where in the washington metro area will you be?
I don't know the hotel, but it might be near Union Station
ah okay that should be very nice.
its probably going to be very hot though bichon
There are a lot of nice hotels near Union Station. And if you have never been to Union Station, that place is beautiful.
Don't worry, I'm sure the hotel and the wedding place will have AC
Yes, I've been there, briefly. Mr. Bich is performing the service
it better or you are in trouble lol
Oh how nice.
He's done a lot of weddings for students he's known at Wesleyan
Hiyas, kiddos!
We went to a wedding on Monday that was in a church with no AC. It was 88 and very humid. I was woozy
we have rain and thunder here in nc
at teh moment
the
bichon uggh how awful
They were supposed to have brought in large, powerfan, but someone forgot. It was a Ukrainian wedding service. That means looooong
any sch words?
bichon catholic weddings are long too
yes
Hope you have a good trip Bich. Just the wedding, or are you staying to do the town a bit?
Trust me, this was much longer than a Catholic wedding. They even had a choir
We've been to DC a lot, but we're going to try to go to a couple of museums on Sat. morning
well at least it had music a lot of catholic weddings have a lot of readings
bbl
Well, only the "full service" type Catholic weddings are the long ones. There is a shorter service that most people opt for.
back and hello
Hello busy paperwork sorting woman.
The service was part English, but , mostly in Ukrainian. The Italian and Scottish side [the groom] were confused. The Maid of Honor was dressed in a men's suit.
The studio almost looks pretty. And the weather is gorgeous
bichon, hello, and do you have time to go to the museum at Dumbarton Oaks?
Oh Bich, that wedding sounds horrible.
our Scottish friends came for a weird-hour drink/meal. But they loved the gazpacho and, especially, the sangria
Weird hour?
4 PM
4 PM
usually just for a drink but today I served all the rest, but not a real meal
Why is that weird? It's cocktail hour.
but you usually don't get soup and pate and fruit salad
they were delighted
Tea time!
exactly
hello judi
c hord
my favorite word in this grid is ch736 which I do a lot
I'd be much happier with drinks and the food to go with instead of tea and crumpets.
... don't miss the 8 ... the person who does the 7
I think you would like my gazpacho, Molly
Alcohol is required in large social settings.
duh moi, ru
or even in smallish ones
Oh especially smallish ones
I'm sure your gazpacho is good Ruby, but I am not a cold soup kind of person.
If you mashed all that same stuff up and made salsa out of it, I would love it. : D
5 people works well around our table on the deck. 6 is the max for the breakfast room. More than that, it's in the dining room, but I don't do that any more
You would have to trust me Moly, but it is a wonderful soup and is my best dish
*Sniff* Unused dining rooms make me sad.
the dining room branches off the living room and is just a very pretty place even if I don't use it any more
I always found gazpacho more appealing in shot glass sized servings.
no no, judi, everybody wanted seconds
Cucumber & melon gazpacho is divine! And, if you don't like it as soup, you can always make a margarita out of it.
and needed spoons
and I put cognac in the sangria, so it's delish and packs a nice punch (pun, there, ru)
Soup is about my speed today. Had a tooth yank from the lower deck yesterday. It broke into four pieces. Dentist was wrenching & digging around in there for about 15 minutes.
*sigh* asked hubby to leave me some money today. He forgot. Need to get juice and squishy soft food.
I have the ch8 and the st8. What's the other one?
tr8
Ty ty. Will look.
Hmm, you can't get money without the husband leaving it for you?
I can, Molly. It's just that he had some cash and I didn't. So, now I just have to visit an ATM.
If you can't mooch from the husband, who can you mooch from??
Last time I had a tooth pulled, I lived on baked potatoes and applesauce. And you are braver than I am, no way I would have a molar pulled while I was awake.
Wasn't a molar. Front bottom tooth (next to the canine).
Oh that's too bad, are you going to have to get one of those tooth plants in it's place?
Reckon I got me a hillbilly hole in my head.
Braces to follow in two weeks. UGH!
Clue for that TR8, please?
Horse gait + what you hang the clean washed clothes on
Thanks, Molls. Never heard of it.
One of the few fishing terms I know.
Hey everybody :-)
Hiya, Soodle!
Ooh, Judi. You poor thing.. I had a tooth pulled some years ago and it was terrible.
I hadn't expected it to be so traumatic. I was starting to go into anxiety attack about 1/2 way through.
omg, soodles!!!!! Hello hello
I was just leaving but am happy to see you
In my teens, I bit my dentist, and drew blood. He refused to treat me afterwards, unless I was sedated!
Hey ((((Rubes)))
Ha ha. Vampire patient!
Is DIL still there?
Dashing off to the grocery store. See y'all later. *POOF*
Bye Judi.
Popping in to say Happy Birthday Soodle!
yes, she's still here but the studio looks very nice, as does the garden. She hits me with a stick when I top working (not really)
Aw, thanks Champ :-)
I didn't remember your birthday, bad bad nel1
Like I said, Ruby, make the most of her.
FB is a big help with remembering bdays
she is strong and willing, how bad is that?
LOL. My Gal Sal (elder daughter) is coming home tomorrow, so major celebrations will follow!
I'm on my way!
Party Hardy Soodle!1

Better trivia: What was her real name?
June or granny?
Granny of course
Unless June Foray was an alias

Emma Webster. It always freaked me out that the same person who did Rocky The Flying Squirrel's voice, also did the voice of Natasha.
I did know that for some reason.
It's what happens when you are an endless source of useless information.
lol
You ask yourself, why did I even know that. lol
More importantly, why can you remember that and not where you left your eyeglasses?

I don't know, long day at work? Sitting after being on my feet all day? Prob a combination of the 2. 5:15 am comes awfully early too...
hi jaxx
Is that the time you rise and face the day?
It is indeed, Jaxx. At least last night I didn't wake up 2 times to go to the bathroom as I usually do!
I am impressed by the time you Americans start your day, even the schoolkids have an early start
Well, "we Americans" generally have a long commute to work.
We Brits start a lot later and, before i retired, I had difficulty getting there on time for 8.30am
Yes, I know, but you start earlier despite that.
Molly, as I really annoy you, i am going to go
Hi jaxx
sigh
Cooeee, jaxx

it sounds great to me! I am actually hoping I can have every Friday off this month. The library here in Frederick, MD has live music at lunch time and I have enjoyed going for the last several years. So, I am hoping I can do so again this year.
I'm trying to hold onto my leave for when the first grandchild comes along. Due 2 weeks today.
It's good to have something to look forward to regularly. Would enjoy that too phan.
That is exciting!
hope everything goes well with the delivery
Thanks. Poor mum to be is so struggling now :(

Hi Aloy
hi diane.. have been messing up, forgetting to finish grids, oops.. call the paddy wagons
dang it, babble keeps freezing up on me...
I have done that once.... when I'd fully intended to finish. It was a shock the next day to see that my score had dropped LOL
do you have stuff running in the background, Jilly?
has happened to me too diane, numerous times.. swore I finished.. ugh
Just shut down my browser
I think we just get too busy sometimes.
yes, distracted
have a friend who always stays up to finish for that reason
My grid flips at 11:00 our time, so I usually have some time after supper to get back to it.....IF I stay awake :-)
oh.. the flip is at 1am my time, so that makes a difference
11 here too, but I go to bed at 9, so my problem is not forgetting but starting one too late

Chilly here TO, fall is coming
We had snow Tuesday night in the foothills, and quite a bit of it.... brrrrr....too early :-(
Hubby covered the tomoatoes tonight, just in case. There are still so many still on the plants and I like them best if they can ripen there.
We had snow in tops of mountains, I really must can salsa, am down to one jar, so we picked the orange and red ones, then covered the rest, hopefully best of both worlds.
I just did the quick salsa that I keep in the fridge .... it doesn't last long. Daughter and hubby do the canned type and share :-)
<---!!FW!!
good for you Jilly.... ! Now go enjoy your icecream.... mine was awesome on top of some heated rhubarb crumble!
I live on salsa, eat it with celery instead of chips, great to keep calories down
LOL....will be right back if clues needed *runs to freezer*
It's basically a No count food !
yup!! that way i can have my little ice cream treat
Well guess I will toddle of for a few errands before bedtime. Happy babbling all !!
Night, Jilly.... sleep well :-)
Hi Diane
Hi, Dianne, with two n's :-)
Looks like we are the only ones here.
I soon will be on my way... 6 words left and it's nearing 10 p.m.
It's nearly noon here.
Is it almost noon there ?
ha ha... I was guessing :-)
Just saw on the news that Joan Rivers passed away.
Yes.... some time early today I believe. She was funny in her earlier days, but I didn't much like her in later years.
At least, I didn't like her spiel, but she may have been nice in private life.
She could be a bit caustic. But a real trail blazers for women.
clues for the 8's needed desperately!!!
And done...! Silly little le7/40, and not a hard word, just elusive.
if you have ch7/36, just add a letter ( to snicker smugly, sort of )
ty.... one down
to frighten someone suddenly.... st 7/28, then add a letter to make it the one who does it.
thanks again ....just the t to go...?
and the third is tr8/40 .... a horse's gait and where you hang out your clothes to dry .
compound word
ty
And I'm off to bed.... good night to whomever is here and good luck with the grid. Night night z z z z
and you're welcome :-)
gotta call it quits .....see you on the other side (suppse to be working)
any hints for cr 6/21 & cr 5/12?
nm
could use a hint for cr 6/12
sounds a little like a short version of the stiff netting worn under skirts in the 1950's
cr + most of small word for finish/done + first part of Ms. Degeneres
