EEEEEE! did a mouse run by?
Hello again.
Ugh the dreaded tile is around.
e 7/40
hi zubie and GW
Hi CJ
Hi!
hey CJ
mouse - where - sorry mistress - i guess i had better go to my corner for the night
No Wolfie. Like I said, I jut spotted my new desktop pic, put on there by Other Half. He is naked except for a Santa beard and hat!
106 words -later
Renfield- you can have the mouse for supper. Then go to your bunk.
Jac - I don't think I need to hear any more :)
GW - off to the corner with you!
You meant h 4 5!
LOL, Wolfie! He's only trying to draw my attention away from the new grid.;-)
Ah!!! I haven't even looked at the board seriously -- I didn't know! (*pouts*) -- Do I gotta?
106 words, I think my servant, Renfield, said?
Well GW, [considers] since the cookies were so nice, we'll let you off this time, won't we, everyone?

Hi everyone
Hi C-nan!
Hello what is the icon for today... please...
Ah, but some nice words with that dreaded tile!
Bread today, Blaze
hi, Cybernan. America - A Horse With No Name playing now.
en 7/40 (x2)
am i the only one having a hard time with this grid?
this grid will be a tough one.... now that second en 7 is got me on the run...
and an en7/48
got it... and the wet fish....
gw how is the back tonight ??
Not looked seriously at grid yet.
Doing better, Blaze -- I've been taking it fairly easy by not bending too much and have been taking meds left over from when it acted up over the summer :) I was very happy to find that I was able to dance with my daughter today with no probs whatsoever :D
that sounds wonderfull...
You're right GW -- one of my en 7's was actually the 48, not a 40
It was great -- I was able to properly introduce her to Xmas carols this year. But the CD she loved the best was a Royal Guardsman disc I have which has all three Snoopy vs. the Red Baron songs on it... She is on a serious Snoopy kick right now :D
c-nan - thanks for clearing that up for me, I was getting confused when I saw the E already greyed out ;)
grey... I spent 5 weeks in hospital because of my back!
lickety -- what was wrong?
grey... lifted a jogger pram the wrong way... doc said because I had my babies only one year apart... my back didn't recover. the S1 is very sensitive at times and need to rest as much as possible
Lickety - know what you mean about your back! Same prob. here. Your back muscles, some of which support those that band around and under the womb soften, in order to aid birth. Go 'too quick' between births and you're knackered for life.
My sympathies, lickety -- at least I don't have that prob -- tho it may be a herniated disc -- just can't afford to get back to the doc to confirm :( Next year - definitely
Poor Grey.... Thanks god for free health care in this country!
I went a bit longr between my two - first born May 84 and 2nd March 87, but it still happened. Wasn't too bad after first, but after 2nd back and bladder muscles were damaged.
Health care's still sort of 'free' here, too. Mind you, in view of the news saying if you get overweight, smoke or drink too much you may not now be treated on NHS, I'm sure it won't be too long until the 'crime' of giving birth will also be discriminated against.
Jac, by the time my son was due, I couldn't walk at all, had to be in hospital for 3 weeks until he was 37wks then the docs induced me (OWWW!) I had an 11 month old baby at home and she wasn't allowed to stay with me in the hospital
Lickety - being separated from your newborn is the very worst thing.:-(
Today I must not babble... today I must not babble... today I must not.... but what if it is a small one... just one peek... ah come on, who am I fooling?? Morning gang...
LOL , Hi sprite (*hug*)
good morning
GW -- can you get either acetezone forte or parafon forte in the states? Both are an anelgesic/muscle relaxant combo -- keep the muscles in your back from going into a spasm when you're having a lot of back pain.
I have been hospitalized so many times, the kids think it is normal! If I say I am going on a business trip for a few days, they freak out... If I say I am going to hospital for a few weeks, they open the door for me and wave good-bye!!
[achoo-achoo-achoo-achoo-grida llsblursup-achoo!]
wow bless you zubie
20 minutes and only 46 words -- this is going to be tough!
A quick read through the log tells me all is not well in babble land! Sorry to hear you are in pain, Woulf :( :( My heartfelt sympathies for all of you...
Yes, Zubie.... I was in the cold world last week.... Nyquil and Dayquil kept me going..( actually the store brand --doing the same thing).... LOTS of fluids....LOL
Blaze - I'll give you my nose for free!
ive been here for 35 min and i have 12 words
They did the separation thing on me when I was forced into hospital when having my first, since he was stubbornly breech and coming 3 weeks early. Still had him naturally though! Apparently, I was the first in 21 years to do so in that hospital. They looked up when their 'last stubborn bitch of a mother' was, turned out it was one of my aunties. Oh ROFLOL. Had my second, 3 days late, at home. Was the best experience ever. Could have had a cuppa and done it again just to see the look on the husband's, midwife's, student midwife's, and GP's faces again. I didn't need to feel the wonder again because I've felt it ever since. I'll never forget that I performed a miracle, even if it was an everyday one!
CJ I hear you!!
Jac, that is beautiful!!
Can't have a tough one today, I don't have the time :) First two words were 7s! Beautifully placed Q today.
Lickety - beautiful and true.
this is hard, been here 35 minutes too, 43 words, and really blanking on anymore
althoug birth happens everyday... it is a miracle... especailly when you do it or you watch it... I had two of my own and watched my four grandchilren being born... it was the most awesome experience....
Sprite. I'll start typing words in. We can do it together.:-)
A joint venture then, Jacula! Love your post about you giving birth :)
Blaze - it never fails to amaze me, given all the births there are, how many go right rather than 'wrong'. Nature is a wonderful thing!
I truly is.... and the mothers are marvelous too....
My little miracles are sitting here, watching me typing, and begging for food! Better go do dinner!!
Lickety - yes, feed the little darlings, but be sure to give them cooking lessons as you do so!
site ate my post! C-nan -- can prob get drugs with Dr's Rx - but vcan;t afford to go right now Truly, the back is more inconvenient than severe -- I was dancing with and swinging my daughter around today with no ill effects -- it may have even helped! But thanks for your concern everyone -- it does feel nice to be on the receiving end sometimes :D (((*hugs to all*)))
Have to go down and make my little wonders some breakfast. Funny thing, time zones combined with internet :D Back soon...
Sprite - Have just put my 1st word in. It was accepted. Your turn!
Just have to jump in to the "birthing" conversation -- I've borne 6 children ... ages 16 - 30 now. All of them natural -- no problems excepting some minor back problems. It really is a miracle the way nature works, isn't it? :-) (btw, 3 of 6 were 10 or 10+ lbs! Ouch!!!)
GW - those are both 'over the counter' -- work really well for me -- I have a collapsed disc that bothers me sometimes.
Jac, my kids need more than cooking lessons... "keep your food on the plate... don't lie down when you are eating... don't feed the dog that!!...use the fork Luke!!"
I was with Kirsten the whole day as they induced her due to pre eclampsya concerns -- unfortunately, baby got stuck and didn't want to come out so after 12 hours they did an emergency c-section -- the experience was still awe inspiring --- My hat is off to all the mothers in the room tonight (*salutes*) :)
c-nan -- I'll check them out then :) Speaking of Kirsten, time for me to rub HER back -- back in a few :)
Lumypom - 10lbs and over? OWWWWWWWWWWW! Wolfie - I gave you the back-rubbing instructions for during birth, I think?
I think we need to clone GW -- he seems too good to be true. During the delivery of #6, my hubby sat in the recliner and watch ESPN. Seen it before he said. lol
Lickety - Know just what you mean about the kids! Going off into a trance now - fave song of all time is in my headphones. Does anyone remember what that is?
i agree luvmypom we need to clone him.
Yup -- my biggest was 10'4" -- looked like a 3 mo old in the nursery. All cheeks and blonde hair -- my own cabbage patch doll. :-)
luvmypom - Is your hubby a big chap, or are you, or are are you diabetic? Those really are huge babies!
I still need 47 words and it is getting really slow now..... WA WA.....:D
bigger babies seem to be more common now as a days...
blaze good luck i don't think i'll make it that far
Blaze - don't panic! I've looked half-seriously at the grid and got 30 words out of the 35 I tried. There's no rush.
I am not in a panic... it will be clear as mud when the Brandy jack list comes out.... LOL does anyone know if he saw the tributes yesterday ??
Just flipping my fave song back to the beginning, since it's the single version and not the live version. As I asked before, does anyone remember what song this is? If I die right next to you and you don't have me 'sent off' the the live version, I'll haunt you! LOL.
No idea..... I am looking for the George Strait sugar cookies song.... anyone have any ideas ??
I'm 5'4", and my hubby is 6'4". No diabetes at all, just good hardy birthin' stock I guess. lol My sister has 9/10 pounders too. My smallest was 8'7", 8'12" and 9'. Then 10' , 10'4", and 10'2". It's take three gyno surgeries to put me back together. I'm still waiting for the tummy tuck! lol
Well,Blaze, my all time fave song is.... Wolfie? Do you remember?
Jacula -- I give up -- what is the song? I wouldn't want you to win the lottery and die from shock, and us not knowing which song to bury you to. :-)
Jac I do remember you telling us but I just do not have good recall skills.....
something by the beach boys?
Luvmypom - (Aussie married to a UK bloke?? - Just trying to guess origin of screen name.) I'm only 5' 1" and not quite 2". My ex-hubby was/is 6'. New partner is 6' 2". I have had a few shorter than 6' boyfriends, but, in the main, since I was in my teens, I seem to have attracted big tall chaps.
I think it is more up scale... and a female singer....
All time fave song - make a note of it please - is Lynyrd Skynyrd's live version of 'Freebird' (sometimes listed as 'Free Bird').
Now that I did not know.... it rocks my socks off... I must get a listen now... hmmmm but how....??
Tallest boyfriend was 6' 6".
great group... my favorite song they sing is "sweet home alabama"
I'm back! Have just scanned the log and have to say that my ears are burning a little -- my only reaction to the cloning comments are a warning that cloning does not guarantee that the personality would be the same
Well, Blaze if you send me your e-mail addy (and it's one that can cope with sound files) through BabAnon, then I can send you the track direct.
Reading that warning, I will not read through the log, Woulf ;) Back as well and ready to hunt some nice words. Wasn't yesterday's grid a sweetie?
CJ lots of numbers - I was playing that track earlier.
Jac - I must admit that I did not remember off the top of my head about 'Freebiird', but since I am not your bloke, I don't lose as many points! :D
Blaze - you need just 48 more? How many do you have now?
61 and going nowhere fast -- think I'll leave it until tomorrow. Good night all.
jac i live in alabama so its a song i hear often
Wolfie - since you are not 'my bloke', yes, you do get let off that one. But you most note it now or points will be taken off you in future! Wolfie's the Babbleonia First Gentleman, btw, folks.
Jacula , Freebird - live version. Now noted so not to worry. High school sweethearts -- me drill team captain, him basketball team captain. Kinda makes you cringe, huh? He's a University basketball coach now ... I'm taking a few years off after being a middle school secretary for 20 years. Loved the school kids a lot... I miss them.
That's fair, Jac ;)
Okay GW -- no dna sample required then. You make a valid point about the personality issue. But would the massage skills still be intact do you think? :D
Jac on babanon free bird topic
Blaze - have you already done it or are you suggesting it as a way of posting the song?
in part, lovemypom -- I seem to be a natural talent on the massage front-- Kirsten finetuned me since she is a trained masseusse -- but I manage to find all the trouble spots and hit them in just the right way to loosen them up with minimal exertion :)
Jac it is done
Cybernan - don't give up yet! There must be hours to go that you can take the grid to pen and paper and have a go in yet?
And that cannot be replicated, I am sure, Woulf ;) Anyone babbling? It is a nice grid, this one, too! 65 and still on a roll :D
My hubby can tape ankles. That's the extent of his therapeutic abilities. *laugh*
ok i'm completely stuck now... i don't like this grid
i am down to 40 words
Hey Jac, my screen name is for my new little girl Sophie, my 4 lb. pomeranian. I'm curious as to the Aussie/UK connection you mentioned. Am I missing something?
H.Jane is back in the grid too :D
48 words and I'm sneezing too much to be able to look at this grid with anything other than twinkly, watery, lemony eyes. I think I'll give up.
see you in the morning Zubie... get some sleep take some decongestants... or a nice hot lemon drink...
lemon eyes! oh no
get some rest zubie, hope you feel better
Actually, Blaze. This will be my last grid for a while. Off on vacation and probably won't be able to babble.
I've only got 49 and i'm not sick. have a good rest zoobs
Here's a simple brakdown fro our non Pro companions: 106 total words 4-letter words: 57 5-letter words: 30 6-letter words: 15 7-letter words: 4 A - 14 E - 18 H - 13 I - 3 L - 6 N - 11 O - 3 P - 2 Q - 1 R - 15 S - 12 T - 4 U - 1 Y - 3
Pardon the typos
enjoy your time off Zoobs!
Thanks, CJ. I'll say bye and Happy Holidays in case I am not able to look in here.
Hope you feel better for your vacation Zubie. Take care of yourself.
thanx for the word list GreyWoulf - most useful :)
ty GW need all the help i can get
lumypom - just took your screen name literally and thought your were an Aussie in love with a Brit. (Australians call we Brits 'whingeing Poms'. LOL.)
zubie -- sorry you are not up to par -- happy you stuck it out as long as you did though :) Enjoy your holidays and I'll send you the snow pics as soon as I can :D ((((((*HUG*))))))
Ok, bye everyone. If you wish to message me, I'm zubie@babblersanonymous ; You'll have to mail me that way when PMing me from inside babanon and using their message feature. Strange, I know. :D
Zubie - have a good, no a great, holiday!
Thanks, GW. I'll be looking forward to it. (((hugs everyone)))
(((zubie))) feel better.....
Enjoy your holidays, zubie, and I hope you feel well soon! *whispers very softly: done. 1064 points to find today. Average word length is 4.68. Nice grid.*
Time for me to catch up to everyone else -- I only have 18 words on my list so far! :D
Thanks. I will. I'm out of here now. [Leaves, carrying the plate! ;D]
sprite - you are awesome!
Heck Wolfie! Concentrate man! I have 34, even with head-banging along the way! LOL.
zubie - you'll just have to bring it back filled! ;D
wtg sprite
[Returns to scowl at sprite and hug her. Done? You! OH well. :D Woohoo!]
Sprite thank you and have a great day.... any surprise words.....??
I will, GW. Fruit cake? My favourite :D I hope you like it too.
Jac - I don't have Brandyjacks access to the board stats -- I had to make my list the old fashioned way! :D
ohhh that reminds me... I need some snacks.... and a drink of water....
Homemade Fruitcake? I'm there!! ;D
jac what day is your fruit cake coming out ??
Yayy! You like fruitcake too! :D Of course, homemade! :D The best kind!
most store bought fruitcake is only good for one thing -- being a paperweight -- way too many preservatives weighing it all down
Blaze: nothing we haven't seen before. The Ey-department is interesting today and the Y is used quite a lot, both for endings and in the middle of words. A few of the usual (anoa-like) suspects are in the grid too ;)
Oops! Got 40 words now. Wolfie - Do you mean you want to come and eat my Christmas cakes, or that you want the recipe? A bit late for this year, though I can give you a Caribbean recipe that would just about work and one for D undee cake. Just as good! Am icing cakes later today or sometime tomorrow.
thanks sprite... getting them slowly.... my daughter is staying with me and is taking an interest in the game... oh oh....
Ok 50 is a good place to stop. I'm really out of here now before I sneeze the grid into virtual ether and out of your reach! :D
Lyn Skyn's 'That Smell' playing now. Nothing personal folks, but lyrics quite apt considering we are talking about home-baked cakes.
You are SUCH a great mother, Blaze :D Bye all, I got to run now, way too little time today for anything. Hence my rushing through the grid and too little chatting away. Have a great day/night/whatever, all of you. Hugs all, and a special one for Woulf ;)
Jac - I would love to jump the pond and sample from your table! :D
Zubie - you are obviously a female snot factory, just like my step-daughter! LOL.
(*Big Hug for sprite*)
(((*HUG for zubie*))) Feel better, and don't forget your fluids! :D
Lol, Jacula! :D I'm going. I'm going now.
20 word and stopping... time to see if i can get some sleep. see you all later
Fluids! Right - I'll go and get water now. :D Bye GW bye everyone.
Wolfie - For now, I'll give you the recipes as and when I can. Wasn't sure anyone was actually reading or using the BabAnon recipe thread! But, you and your family may well sample the food for real one day. Both me and 'him, either in bed or out on the road' love cooking, and we're both good cooks.
Zubie - don't forget to take my water filter jug up to bed with you!
Jac - reading all these busy people starts to wonder why she is still up, apart from doing her trucker alarm bit and navigating bit etc. She has ... well a lot to do later. As for the overseas Christmas cards, 2 to Canada, one to USA, one to New Zealand and one to Lithuania, the dates for those to get there by Xmas must have long gone! Oh dear! So late with everything this year...
Jac I have found that the posts to or from england are very quick you should do well. and besides it is lovely getting cards after the busyness.....
Blaze - thanks for that encouragement. It means a lot.x
bye CJ... have a good sleep {-]
have 49 now! I always find it interesting which square a word originates from when there are multiple choices -- it is almost never the one I think it will be :D
G'Nite CJ -- rest well!
GW it is always the letter that comes first in the grid as it makes the word..... first row then first column...
Aww, Blaze -- now you took all the fun out of it! ;)
it is still fun especially when the word can be made from several different places....
true :) -- then, of course, it can be just as amazing to see how many words originate from a SINGLE square :D
like the 14 hiding in the A letter....
Exactly! LOL
Daughter's boyfr reckons Dr-God will give us a 1000 word grid on 19th Dec (1000th grid day). Is that possible??
he needs a boot to the bottom... what a nasty thought.... it would need to be a three day grid
possible -- yes, probable - not bloody likely! 1000 word grid would preclude most of us from completing the grid and thus defeat the fun of the game
oh lordy -- 1000 word??? It that even possible??? *feeling a bit light headed*
Blaze - re the boot. Don't tempt me. He ain't the 2nd son the first full-timer was/still is. GRR! No one tells you that one about being a parent, looking on, do they?
Jac no they don't and it takes some pretty strong blinders sometimes... and tonque biters too..... only a mother would know....
Well, if Dr_God does find a 1,000-word grid, I reckon he'll give us a minimum of 2 days to do it!
why isn't narler a word?!! I hear it everyday!
is there any rere words in this grid ??
Hi Guys :) Jac ((((xx)))) Long time no see. How are you??
haven't seen one yet
hello lotti j
hi lotti! (*hug*)
Love your icon Blaze.....Mama will be proud!!! :)
Lickety - don't know that particular word, but Babble's like that - it ignores every day words like 'bonce' etc.
(((GW))) How`s K and bump??
Lotti - hiya! You mischief maker, you!
Doin' great, lotti :)
* Who me????* ;o)
Lotti plays 'the innocent'.:-)))))))
Oh glad to hear it GW.....you started your other job yet??
narler - surfer speak for "huge wave, man!"
not yet -- but I have another couple of irons in the fire -- it's tough getting a job at this time of year -- everyone wants temp, not permanant :\
well these last 29 words will wait until tomorrow... good nite everyone.....
Should I go back to my glass of brandy icon, rather than the idea I got from Anj re Munch and The Scream (icon's saying 'HOW MANY WORDS??' btw) or is there a new theme for the day?
G'nite Blaze -- see you later (*hug*)
I know what you mean.....all the students come out of the woodwork for jobs here at this time of year :) I was after more hours myself.
Todays theme is bread, Jac
Nite, Blaze. Sweet dreams.
Gnite Blaze :)
Bread as in the stuff we eat, Wolfie, or as in money (dough)?
Nite Blaze. I didn't know the theme was bread. Does gingerbread count as a bread or a cookie? Hmmm....
food - Jac I chose to go with a lovely bread pudding myself
Gotta love the bread pudding. Made some just last week GW. Put some apples in it -- yum!
Me and daughter are making gingerbread houses next week. Can't put pics up yet 'cos we haven't made 'em! Could put a pic from a decade or mor back though - an old one I made. Daughter remembers this and wants to revive it this year.
lovemypom - it's up to you -- the themes are merely suggestions -- I like your gingerbread house personally :)
Lickety are you into footie??? (Rugby League) as we call it..We have a few Aussies in our local team.
I haven't had a really good bread pudding in ages! Unfortunately, Kirsten doesn't like it which means I have to make it myself and I just don't have the time
Jac, they had the gingerbread national competition on our "Food Network" channel. Some of those houses were spectacular! People worked for hundreds of hours on them.
Wolfie - Ah, bread pudding. I think there about 2 pieces left in the tin from this week's. I saw Other Half shove at least 2 slices into his lunch pack earlier!
luvmypom -- was that the one with the spinning carousel? We saw it too!
Footy? No... soccer is my thang! I don't get the rugby.
Wolfie! Making bread pudding takes no more than an hour or so! You soak the bread and milk for 30 mins and then add the rest of the ingredients, and cook for about an hour and 15 mins.
(note to self re GW: kitties, kids, massages, AND cooks! perhaps the cloning idea is back on) :D
Luvmypom - Yes, me and my daughter looked at many of those pics on the net.
Oh, well..... I can`t stand soccer.
Jac - I know - but the only time I have to work in the kitchen is now and usually I am too tired to remember that I have anything else going on other than Babble!
No, cloning is not back! Like The Gentleman said, cloning may not necessarily bring back all the good points.
GW - Yes... the carousel. Too bad they didn't place better. But man, the creativity in that room was amazing. Being unable to draw a stick figure, I really admire people with artistic talent.
Unless GW is a pure breed... can't guarantee anything!
Well , Wolfie, I'm either gonna have to send you the recipe or the word list, on a day you a free! Can't someone else watch things for you re oven times?
Besides, I do have my faults, I choose not to advertise them is all -- I am no where near perfect (*blushes beet red and dives to hise behind monitor*)
Wolfie - of COURSE you are not 'perfect'! NO ONE would luv ya if you were!
Sorry GW, we shouldn't talk about you like you aren't here. But it's awfully cute that you blush!! lol
Jac - remember it is 3 AM right now for me -- I should really be sleeping like Kirsten already is -- but send the recipe I promise I will make it Xmas eve -- I'll be off from work and may have the apt. to myself for a few hours :D
My other half was on here Sat or Sun., talking about cooking the Sunday roast. Made him sound perfect, too! LOL. He isn't, but, if he was, I doubt I'd love him. He can cook though! Bless him! I may have drawn a short straw for 1st 22-year relationship, in more ways than cooking, but I think I've got it right this time!
luvmypom -- our fav bit from the gingerbread special was the little girl who won the kids division -- her squeal of delight made the whole show wirth watching!
helooo!
Yeah, he told me he`d made pizza for tea the night before!!!!
Hi sam!
Lumypom - Myother half blushes, too. It's so cute to see that in a man.
Morning Sam :o)
Lotti - I know! I read the convo and it was youthat made him blush! LOL.
Normally, I hate pizza, but his pizzas are 'to die for'!
Jac, That's great that you appreciate your guy now that you've found him. Many happy years ahead to you both.
LOL.....He made me laugh when he said don`t tell Jac I was here!!!! Like you don`t scroll back to catch up on conversations!!!!! Anyway, I take it his back is still ok??!!!
Did you see the traffic in london yesterday it was horrible! it tok us 2 1/2 hours to get home there saying they won't be able to get the fire out till next monday!
GW, she was such a cute little girl. And I thought the sister's who won were fun too. They were so excited. I couldn't imagine putting in all those hours and having it ruined during the travel. How disappointing.
Hey all. Just got home from a grand evening, checking the grid to see whether it will keep until tomorrow, and looks like it will....
((*Griff*))
Sam, it`s awful isn`t it......at least nobody was badly hurt!
Yikes, what are you still doing up?
hi griffums.
Luvmypom - Thanks! I will! Had a decade alone. Lotti - Yes, his back's better, thanks.:-))) He knew what he was saying whe he said 'don't tell Jacq', he knows I read the log, just like he does.
I HATE to interrupt you all chatting happily but is there 2 en7/40's. I have one which is the "ask about" but what could the other be?? I have the en7/48. Clue please??
lottijw actually 4 workers were very injured
hey sam
luvmypom - I definitely do not have the patience that is necessary for that type of competition -- and to have to be dependent upon safe transport to boot, I would have an ulcer inside of 6 months
helenary, I don't know but you just gave me my first word...
I knew I was good for something Griff!!
4 major casualties, it seems. Would have been far more had it not been 6 on a Sunday morning. Not that that helps those workers, I know. And accident though, it seems, not any act of terrorism.
Well gang, going to call it a night. the alarm goes off in 4 1/2 hrs. *yawn* I think you all are bad influences on me! lol Although I was warned -- Babbleland is addictive. :)
helen -- sorry -- there are only 2 en7's -- one 40, one 48 -- c-nan misread teh screen when she posted earlier -- she corrected herself a little later
I should imagine they are in good hands Sam. It`s a good job it was Sunday is what I keep thinking!! Far less people about. Miyavi just lives 2miles away from it and the blast blew her bedroom door down the landing!!!
Awwwwwwwww! that sounded piteous! :)
woow!
thank you GW!!
All right, I'm done. Going to take my toe-tappin self (surprise theater tickets tonight, 42nd Street) and shuffle off to bu...bed. Thanks helenary for giving me my big break!
Gnite LMP :)
BTW -- anyone have either of the other two 7's?
ok see ya gruiffums!
rest well, luvmypom -- see you tomorrow :)
Gnite Griff :)
sounds like a great night, Griff -- Sweet Dreams!
Wolfie - Soory, nope, can't see a 7 in my words yet. Listening to Lindisfarne now.
(feeling very hungry for toast for some reason) 'night
Thanks Grey Woulf. You too. *forcing self to leave now*
Griffums - afore ye awa - can you make me some toast too, please?
luvmypom, vixie said to give sophie a big lick!!
You`re here late Sam, you`ve normally set off to school by now!!
hi everone. Made the mistake yesterday of starting a grid | didn't have time to finish. Ruined my stats (not that they are that good anyway). Today may be smaller, but seems to be a toughie!
Hi Ishult :) Yeah, i`m not getting far fast!!
GW....have you seen Tor recently??
39 left to find, but back is beginning to protest sitting so long and Kitty Cat is telling me to go to bed -- Will see whomever tomorrow (*Hugs for all*) (*extra for Jac*) TTFN
lotti - he popped up earlier, as in hours ago, but was quieter than usual
Ok thanks GW... G`nite sweet dreams ((xx))
Bye Grey... have a good one!
*sittin' in a sleazy snackbar sucking sickly sausage rollls...* Lindisfarne - 'Fog on The Tyne'. LOL Wolfie - go to bed and to K!
Ishult - didn't even think to check my stats for yesterday! Will do though, ocne I've made some toast. (The virtual toast doesn't work!)
Starting to get realy P***ed with this grid. Only found 51 words and I'm stuck, just going round and round finding words I've already got!!!!!
Can't even count. only found 46 words so far!!
got my toast now. let's calm down and look at the grid again...
48 words here, ishult. About even, eh?
John Lennon's 'Imagine' in my headphones now.
'you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...'
49 - words.... 'but we all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun...' (On to Instan Karma now - which should probably be The Babblers' theme song!)
Hi Everyone - nice to see I'm not alone in finding this grid a wee bit difficult. Can't find anything on the other two 7 letter words.
Edited lyrics.... Instant karma’s gonna get you Gonna knock you off your feet Better recognize your brothers Ev’ryone you meet Why in the world are we here Surely not to live in pain and fear Why on earth are you there When you’re ev’rywhere Come and get your share Well we all shine on...
Well that got far more edited than I intended!
Oh no. One of those shorty ones again today :/ *sigh* and how's that for a Monday morning greeting? Hi everyone! :) *waving madly*
Yes, I know my new icon's George and not John. But G was a cousin of mine, and looked so like my Dad. The sentiments are the same whether John or George's pic is showing. RIP to both.xx
Hiya Miyavi. When does school finish and are you kay after our bedroom door blowing off (as I heard it) during explosion??
Cool Jac! We should have a day on babble with musician icons, where we all put up our favourites. Not that I'd have to change or anything ^_^
*okay, *your door. Sorry! V. tired!
Hey Jac! Yeah, I'm fine thanks...just a bit miffed by such a rude awakening on a Sunday morning :) How are you?
Our bedroom door?! ooer missus
LOL, Miyavi. I'm surprised you know that joke at your age though!
*giggling like a loon on loon tablets* I go to school, that's how I know it ^_^
They can't possibly still do FH jokes in schools, surely?
*whispers to nobody* what does FH stand for? :/ sorry...ignorance of youth, obviously :D
Ah, so you know the punch line but not who's joke it was? It started with a Kenneth in the 'Carry Ons' and then was taken up by a Frankie.
*whose joke.
oooh, right...I think I just inherited the 'ooer missus' from my mum, who probably got it from there!
Oh right! Anyway, when does scholl finish? 22nd or later?
*school.
um *thinking*...I think we finish this Friday...no idea of the actual date :/ it's too early in the morning for that
Sorry, Miyavi. V. tired. Got 50 words for now on grid but will probabl leave rest until later. How are you doing with grid?
*blushes* a grand total of nine *raises hands in victory* looks like I need to get my head down!
I am bailing out... 53 and not going anywhere!!
Okay,Miya., you get on with grid and I'll maybe see you later. Dunno. Lots to do here. Anyway, happy Babbling.
see you later Jac :)
Bye also to Lickety,
BYE JAC!! have a nice time!!
Oooo I was burried in the grid.......See ya Jac :) See ya Lickety :) Good morning Miyavi :)

I don't mind admitting that I am monkey bait when it comes to explaining my OH!
Hey Kikic93 :) How are you?

great thanks :)
u like miyavi? my sis is obsessed with him
OMG Perish the thought......even worse is where the hell would they put it!!!!!!! lol
what what what?! there is another miyavi fan around?!
...I love Miyavi ^_^
Lotti, they would put it in my back garden so I could bend down to worship it every day
ya. my sister. she is absolutly crazy because we are now in japan!
LOL Miyavi !!!!! Wow Kikic !!!! :o)
you're in Japan?! *dying of envy* wow, what time is it there?
If you refresh, you may see someone she will recognise as my icon :)
638 pm
Lotti, I will pay homage :D
Bless you :)
kewl. my sister is getting me addicted to gazette and alice 9 along with miyavi
Wow, this is great...coincidence :)
Oooh, Lotti, having a Life Of Brian moment now...Movieman would be proud. "he's NOT the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!"
Miyavi me thinks you`ve found a soul mate!!!!
Wow, Gazette I love as well! This is great! How about Panic Channel? They're split up now but still pretty good :)
Lotti, I'm just blown over by this...I knew getting up early and logging on would do me good!
she doesnt listen to them or she hasent told me about them.
be right back
*dancing around the room*
I think it`s great, cos no one else seems to know much about them!! You just need her sister to log on now :)
Yup :) Though most Gazette fans aren't into Dir en Grey...they find it too depressing :)
she is like on some japanese band group or something like that. she is depressed that she cant go to a concert with all of them that there record label is throwing because we are heading back to the states.
She didn`t say how old she was did she?? ....... Ooooo I feel pen (e-mail) friends coming on and Japan visits..... what do you think??!!!! :)
riiiight...I'm just suffering from massive envy symptoms cause I can't go on the peace and smile carnival tour! Selfish parents just won't go the extra mile and move to Japan for me :)
she is 13 almost 14
*dancing around the room with Lotti*
Wahoo Miyavi....great age too !!!!
*brain drops out* I'm 14 in February!
what day? my sis is the 7th
*reinserts brain* I'm the 5th!
OMG! awasome!
Wow.....I`m gonna leave you guys to it!!! Must get in the shower.........See ya later :o)
*jumping up and down clapping* I love life, I love babble... ...I love MYV... ...this is just so weird :)
Later Lotti :) Don't forget the statue
are you ok?
*big cheesy grin*
this is just really weirdy...great though :) Didn't think I'd come across any other j-rock fans on here!
ok....*backs away from the computer slowly*
i have you heard of yesasia.com ? it sells music and stuff like that
sorrry...gone slightly hyper now. :/ nothing but a loon on loon tablets...
yeah, it's a great site...had just about half the Miyavi stock ordered for my Christmas presents ^_^
k. you and my sis would be best of buds. both hyper, crazy and lunitics. did i mentin j-rock fans?
I think if a person is hyper, crazy and a lunatic being a j-rock fan just kinda goes with it :)
ok.... my sis is also sometimes a spaz
kiki ... LOL
well g2g. my email is kiki_me_cute@hotmail.com just in case you al want to talk another time. bye!
okay, it sounds like we would get on well! So what bought you from the States to Japan?
okay, thanks! see you :)
Hi Miya, How are you enjoying your day off?
It's great thanks, Ishult...never thought anything good would come of noxious fumes lol :) How are you?
mostly frustated. Should be working, keep coming back to babbling, but in big touble with this grid!!!!
Heh! I'm trying to translate some song lyrics at the same time, so keep getting confused as to why the grid won't accept japanese words :/
the grid accepted one japanese word that I have ;}
It won't accept 'nare' though. *glares at computer*
Try a consonant instead of a vowel, to get na4.6
Oooh...thanks Haz :)
You're welcome! Have to go now to get housework done and then walk the dog. It's a lovely frosty morning here.
Okay, later :)
Anyone know how many h's there are today?
hydra - there are 13 H words. Good luck - I can't find all of them :(
Morning all.
MORNING MAC - FROM MY EVENING :)
Hey Mac! :)
Hi Dianne.Just finished work for the Year and Not back in the real world yet.
Hi Miyavi.Has Lotti been around?
Yup, she was here earlier...slipped off to have a shower :)
Once I have my coffee I`ll scroll back.
Dianne, what's the time in Hong Kong? :)
Mac - you finished work for the year? What kind of work do you do? What have you got planned for next 2 1/2 weeks?
Miya - it is 7:00 pm here.
I work in a primary school a few hours a week. This week it`s parties and general end of termitis. We made cards and calendars this morning. Some on computers some by hand.
riiiight...wow, that's some time difference. I feel so behind :)
So is school over there until after the new year? Schools are closed here this week because of the WTO Conference.
Our school closes on Friday.I`ve worked some hours in advance so I`m not needed now.I prefer to work in class rarher than practice for concerts or go to school parties etc as my hours are so limited. It`s not that I`m antisocial I just think I should be useful.
Mac - that's great for you - now you have time to do all the holiday things and enjoy them.
I`m still trying to catch up with my reading.Piles of books bought for last years holidays and very few read.
anyone got the last 7 letter word, I have the 2 e's and si/7. Please
Got it ar7/28 tyvm
thanks davetins, I couldn't find that last 7 either.
Well - I'm giving up for tonight - I'll try and finish in the morning. Time to get some dinner. Later all :)
Morning all! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
Bye Dianne
Hi Eva.
Should have knkown that small grid does not equal easy grid :(( .... is anyone else struggling?
Yes !!....Ho Hum.....Me !!!
morning everyone!
Hi there Poos :)
this grid reminds me of an optometrist's eye chart :P
Glad it's not just me Karys :)
Hi Macadam. This is ridiculous- been here for about an hour and have only 49 words. Feel dizzy from going round in circles.
Well.... I have to leave it here and do some shopping so that the family can eat this week !!....see later :)
later karys!
Thanks, Dianne. I'm lost without that second letter list! Got 70 and just about giving up.
Hi, everyone, movieman here... When people say "bread" is the theme for 2day's icons, I wish they'd be a bit more specific...lol (refresh and you'll know what I'm talking about)
LOL movieman.... i had the same thought but my tummy guided me
Time for a break already.Visitors.
ea4 4 ea6 18 ea4 4 ea4 6 ea4 4 ee5 10 ee4 6 en7 40 en7 48 er5 10 er6 18 eu4 5 ey4 6 ey4 6 ey4 6 ey4 6 ey5 14 ey5 14
Thank you Trotters!!!!!!
New to this. Is there same amount of words in each puzzle?
Welcome, Kimber! It's a different number of words every day.
Hi kimber, every grid is different and today there are 106 words to find.
any clues for the ey5's?
one of them is an eagles nest, don't have the other yet
Thanks ho hum. Never seen that spelling before.
does anyone have second letter lists for the h's and the s's?
Stats are posted.
I've got 10 if the s's and the other ey 5 is an old form of currency, from the y go diagonaly down/left and then straight up.
thank you, thank you BJ !!!!
eva/hohum, ey5/14 change the last letter to a vowel
brandyjack - you are a total star :)
Thanks guys! The evil ee's are gone.
thanks Hydra and Ho Hum. Where can I find that info?
Babblers Anonynous, in the frame on the right (Friends of Babble).
Thanks BJ. Have you all read what swmbo had to say about his subscription to babblers anonymous? Looks like we might lose it
hey everyone- what do i need to do to pay the gold community subscription? anyone know?
beebee, you might be best posting a reply to SWMBO's mail on BabAnon and she will probably be able to advise.
hohum, thx
To make a payment, go to the Babbler's Anon website, click on 'make a direct payment' and follow the prompts, you can pay with credit card or Paypal.
hello brandyjack :D long time no see :D
Is there a theme today
The theme is bread eaten with lots of e's.
ooooookkkkk
Sorry - what I mean is that bread is the theme of the icons, but there are loads of e's in the grid.
I'M BAAAAACK! I've been to a very dark place and boy is it great to be home [even if I'm not really home per say] I'm watching the wee one. Today is bred day, right?
oh ok now that makes sense ty
LOL gramma
good morning all!
Howdy, bbnaz
tyvm brandyjack if you are still reading. your help is enormous!
mornin all!
Afternoon everyone. Given today's theme of bread I see there is a very relevant ye5/14.
*waving from afar*
hi miy
Hey May, glad to hear you are OK!
*whispering* hi Shorty! I'm trying not to get too involved in the chat today, this puzzle is too hard
I'm back for another try. am i the only one struggling with this grid? only been able to find 50 so far!!
uh oh
Hey FMitch! Thanks! :)
is that a pic of you miya :)
Ishult - it's a real doozie, way too many e's for a start!
I found the very scary word :)
Heh...I will rename myself Ana.L.Retentiv before I put up a pic of myself in a clown hat for babble! My icon is miyavi ^_^
shorty, can I en7/40 if that scarey word is the ee5/10 by any chance?
yes
lol
Wargh, gotta go...see you later :) Wow, that was short...
Byee Miy

hah, i hadnt even noticed it in there yet!
icon updated! :)
Trotters, read the note from swmbo. Looks like someone else did too. Balance was U$10, I put in $20, by the time I finished messing with paypal, someone else contibuted U$221 which takes care of an entire year of subscription. Byt the time I got back out the war chest was up to $281, all from anonymous contribs. Hope everyone here goes Pro too.....
BJ, that is amazing news, way to go babble community!!
Morning my darlings! :)
106 words today *sticks out togue and crinkles nose* Bleh
Yeah, hardly worth starting eh?
Hi TSM
jack, yeah makes you just want to nurse your coffee along instead lol
This sucker only LOOKS easy.......
Hiya FMitch Wow have you ever seen so many e's in group?
but yesterday's takes the cake for number of bizarro words!
I did about 20 words yesterday and then got busy staring at the insides of my eyelids....
TSM the s's are the same
okay, off to do the day. will back later to try and finish my final 53...............
DONE>>>>anyone need a clue before I go get some work done??
OK ouwa...how about any starters for the 7's...
en7's to ask
Thanks, unea!
si6 and si7 . . . think S***** Club . . . related to environmental issues
yw!
Well, that was a fun grid in a perverse sort of way. Should have remembered the short ones always bite back!!
wow...fmitch! you done?! I'm about to give up with 50 to go...don't think I want to invest anymore time here...
hi everyone!
couldn't have finished w/o BJ's list!
Hi all how many words today please
"only" 106 words but they take some finding
thanks FMitch
yr welcome and good luck!
Clue for the AO word, please?
I might have a chance of finishing this one LOL
Sorry at work and got busy
ao def n : a verb tense in some languages (classical Greek and Sanskrit) expressing action (especially past action) without indicating its completion or continuation ... or sounds "like" someone who rows.
Gooood clue FMItch : ) Hi everyone - Happy Monday ; )
TY FMitch
Hey Anj, hows it going?
stuck on that si 6 and 7 still :P
found it from your 'sounds like' FMitch...!!....thank you...hello again everyone :)
Not bad for a Monday FMitch lol : ) Only just started so i'm going to be languid & lazy with this one I think
No ones hear of the Si*** Madre Mountains, or the high Si***'s?
thas great karys, never quite sure if my clues will work or not as it's easy when you can see the word. Hmm Anj, languid and lazy on a Monday - sounds like a great way to start the week!
5th day, but technically 2nd day of my month off. Loaf mode engaged...........
BJ...can make it fit s6....but not s7 !!!
I saw that brandyjack, but I thought it not valid due to being proper name... I was wrong, LOL!
A month off BJ!!!! you can be langid and lazy alongside Anj!!
Hi guys :) Hey babe :) (((xxx)))
you want the n, Karys hi all, hi Anj : )
... and Lola : )
Hi babbler! How you doing chicks??
ok thanks. you?

Hi babe (((xx))) How's the headache?? Hi Babbler : ) How's your day?
si6 = Si****, si/7 = of the Si****'s
Hi Toes, Brandyjack, Jera, everyone... It gets busy when you're not looking lol
got it now thanks BJ :)
ok thanks Anj. you?
babbler, not too bad :) Anj, it's gone for now babe, just left me veeeery slow, lol :)
i decided to poof today... that makes it seem suddenly busy, too (not just me, but when several people do that, LOL)
*poof*
HI all! bread today right?
whats 'poof' ?
Not bad Babs - slow Monday. Getting into the Xmas spirit more and more. The tree is in severe danger of actually getting decorated : )
Babbler!
what goes on top of the tree Anj? a star or a dolly?
Wow, you have a tree already Anj? Doing better than me!
hi toes, how are you?
Babs, nothing yet. I haven't thought that far... Might have to pick up something shiny in The Pier or Evolution Jera, I got organised in a weak moment and now have a fir tree taking over most of the lounge : /
Group of good babble s's that start from the si4/4 (to father) double last letter to give 5/10 double 3rd letter and change vowel ending for another 5/10 add a consonant to the end for the 6/21 and finally go back to your si4/4 and just double everything.
Funky fairy on top of our tree !!
So what are you hoping to find under your tree this Christmas, Anj? :)
lola -- great minds think alike. nice icon! ;)
Ooh firs are nice. I think our tree will have to sit on a table or in a chair... small living room!
Lo, no pine needles? ; )
We have a fairy for our tree topper, too... I'll have to snap a shot of it for an icon...
there's a theme for another day then....tree toppers !!
great idea, Jera!! let's have crimbo tree toppers as a theme soon.
Snap !!!....Babbler :D
Hi evanadine! :) Why, thank you! First thing I thought of when I saw that today's theme was bread :)
heh, me too!
Hi EvaNadine : )
Anj, I thought we could use your art idea for tomorrow. Shall we have crimbo tree toppers on Weds?
Shall we have a little sing along when we are finished today?? lol!
I am good. Drinking coffee 1/2 full of cream and sugar! :) You?
I need to get cracking on the holiday... my Pagan stuff is early, then we're going out of town for Christmas... we will prolly get a tree this weekend... live ones in the house are not good for them... shocks the system to be so warm...
*lola waves at toes* :)
Babs, sounds good to me. Did Artlady settle on a style or artist??
What does crimbo mean?
Good Morning --- doesn't look any better today than it did last night!
*waves at lola* Hi sweetie! :)
crimbo = christmas Jera
she couldn't decide. so I've left it as you posted in your message - nice open scope for everyone. Artlady said she'll give it some more thought and get back to me.
Babs, didn't she ask that we wait until the w/e tho'??
Now how did that happen? Is crimbo short for something? Or an accent? My Brit culture for the day...
hola anj-er-ino!
ok few things to do and Christmas cards to write fast. be back in just a bit! HUGS ALL! :)
greetings and saluations, evanadine!
well...... errrr....... she disappeared and it was getting late and I was getting tired.... and errr...... my fingers slipped and I updated my handbag by accident.... :/
Anjerino? Beats Anjypops lol : )
Jera, it is my humble opinion (after living here for nearly 3 years) that the brits make a lot of their words up, lol!
I've never heard such pericombobularities!
: P
think it just happened Jera...I remember before we used it but I can't remember how it came to be !!
Good morning! Hope everyone had a good weekend!
LOL
Fair enough, lola... but there's usually a fun story behind it!
Where were you before, Lola?
Anj ?.....you okay there....you havn't taken something have you ???....LOL
*whispers* Jera, I think they make those up too.... :)
Babs, maybe we could have an open art day this week, and a themed art day over the weekend??
Hi lupe! :) Jera, I'm from south africa.
Aha... so we move from etymology to psychology!! Another fave of mine...
Hi Lupe :)
I suggested that to Artlady, but she couldn't handle the responsiblity (think she was trying to make me laugh!), then she said maybe there was too much of an overlap. Maybe I'll ask her again later today.
Cool, Lola... my Sprite is going to run away to Africa... specifically Namibia, to work with the Cheetah reserve there...
heeeeeeelllllooooooooooooooo
Now I was going to get so much done with Gwyd at school. here I've been jabbering the whole time & barely found any words... must get some cleaning done & rearrange things to get a tree in my tiny house!!
Jera, haven't been to Namibia (yet!) but it looks like a beautiful place. They are doing great work in conservation now, too :)
Karys, I should have said I am frazmodic, dispeptic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericombobularities. Now excuse me while I have a pendigestatory interludicule LMAO : )
Hi Shorty
your post has left me discombobulated, Anj.....
ooooo dear Anj.....I need a lie down now...I don't know about you !!!
rather challenging today eh!
Hello there shorty :)
The Sprite wants to be Laurie Marker when she grows up! CCF starts taking interns at 16, & she is saving up already to go...
Hi shorty! You went pro while I wasn't looking! :)
hello Lupe!!! How is everyone this fine morning.....or evening depending on where you live:)
yeah I went pro last week
hi again, anj, jera, karys, evanadine, toes, lola, lupe, shorty...
I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo happy
could be cause I'm on vicodin though LOL
Aw, that's sweet Jera :)
Hi temple! :)
Uncle Tom Cobley and all....Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all.....everyone join in
If she's still interested in 6 1/2 years, more power to her, I say!
Jera, that's just it. She may change her mind a hundred times by then or she may also still want to run away to africa. Dreams should never be scoffed at, no matter how young the dreamer :)
Hi Temple!
That's how I feel... dream big... if it passes, on to something else... but some big dreams can really turn into amazing realities
why on babblers anon are they taking contributions?
Apparenlty Ezboard's are not free. Cost is U$221 per year. Which has gone way up from what it used to be.
Karys, name them! I've just searched and come up with an alternative listing, but not the traditional Tom Pearce (whose horse it was) Bill Brewer, Jan Stewer, Peter Gurney, Peter Davey, Daniel Whidden, Harry Hawk and Uncle Tom Cobleigh and ALLLLLLL...
Heeeeelp! -- there's an rh and it isn't rhino!
oh thank you BJ I didnt know that
It's a bird of New Zealand I think.
ostrich thing Cyber !!!
It's a girl's name if that helps
it can also be a girl's name
Hi all, I see I wasn't the only one to interpret Bread in a musical way
Also a fertility godess
I was wrong, South American version of the Ostrich. Big goofy flightless thing...
hi yoink : )
Hi yoink! lol, are you going to join evanadine and I in a sing along after we've finished the grid today? :)
also........The satellite of Saturn that is tenth in distance from the planet.
...someone ought to get a picture of Jack Jones...
wait, ive gotta finish? we might be waiting a long time to sing! hehe
Also the name of my husband's first love... she broke his heart!
Hmm, I'm not sure if I actually know any Bread songs
That's alright, gave you something to mend.....
Morning. 106 I see?
Is he the one who sang I Would Do Anything for Love... But I Won't Do That?
aahhh BJ....thats nice !!
me neither, yoink...hehe
Yoink, you probably know boy george's cover of 'everything I own'? :)
Or was that Meatloaf??
jera -- thats meatloaf. :)
Okay, so yoink and evanadine are waaaay younger than me! lol! :)
Hi harpjane :)....106 and tough going !!
Oh yeah, I know that, I know another version of that so it could be Bread's
I think my brain is freezing up, & not in a good way... I feel a breeze under my desk... brrrr! Might have to go do some housework to warm up...
Jaer, you thinking of Everything I Own??
So what's today image for?
bread: " i want to make it with you"
Oooh the first sa5/14 is a good one!
Hi T-Owl : ) 14 As... I protest : (
* i really think that we could make it girlllllllllllllll*
I don't know 70's soft rock, sorry.... just embarrassing myself now... at least I asked before bursting out in song...
Well, that's halfway for me, folks... gonna go clean house & warm up... back in a couple of hours, hopefully!
Hi punster :) 'bye Jera :)
I'm pretty sure either my mum or my dad was a fan of Bread
what was the idea behind the theme today?
Hey Lola, doing good I imagine :-)
bread-br-bread-bread-bread
'bye Jera : ) Yoink, my mum was...and Neil Diamond. Had an interesting musical education lol
Punster, just over half way :)
Hi everyone, a short and sweet one today....
happy bread day folks!
oh i got that (refresh) i was just wondering who came up with it. seems a bit random (not that that's a bad thing)
evanadine - if U think U were being sneaky with your icon, wot about mine then....lol
i was thinking of that too, movieman
'twas me that came up with it - i love bread
Yoink, it's my mum who loves them :)
Lol movieman...
I think it is my mum too, she was a bit of a hippy
i actually thought about that one myself, movieman. ;)
Hi schroeder :)
so did I, moveman....
Of course, I thought it was bred.
that is really funny gramma
Hee Hee Hee Gramma... Thought I would go educational today for all you teachers...
Can't change icons in mid-stream
there's an oldies station here that plays all old stuff like bread...i never heard them first hand, no, not me.....
ok, ten points to anyone who knows the bread connection with this icon!!
evan, it a picture of Bread.
it's their album cover
you guys need to refresh. :)
it's a picture composed entirely of different types of bread?
heh, nope!
It's a very small picture that i can't make out?
...bread head??
Bread Troll???
heh, well, thats possible yoink...but that has nothing to do with the bread. ;)
a bread advert?
no bread-head, -rtoll, -advert...
How about posting the picture link so we can see it bigger
http:// www.meineexpo2000.de/MSK_01a.j pg (remove spaces)
Unless the URL gives the answer away in which case that would defy the point
some sort of god or goddes of bread?
ye5/14 monster??
hah! no babbler, but i like youre thinking!
breadfruit?
nope. just lemme know when you all give up. :)
it's a puppet from a kid's story? it's the baker?
Is the mask thing itself made out of bread?
no, but youre closer. :)
not made out of bread
It's made out of bread?
who? me or yoink?
bread sculpture : )
babbler, you were closer
It's a puppet. The puppeteer's name is Bread?
or the puppet's name?
so.... punch & judy pinocchio eerrr.........
dont know either of their names
hmm..... something specifically american?
evan, you are an evil person. I give up!
well, yes, i do think it is specifically american, but i dont think most americans know about it either...heh
Hi Guys.....*hugs*
i certainly don't!
By the way, there is a bigger picture here: http://www.meineexpo2000.de/MS K_01.html not that it helps me
Greetings All. Just got in. How goes it this rather cloudy not so nice day?
you made it for a show? you wrote the story, starred in it, sang the theme tune, ..........
Hi Lotti :)
Hi Lotti : )
NO wait! I don't give up! I just found a theater company called "Bread and Puppet!"
I give up....
Hi sis! (((x)))
TEN POINTS TO HARPJANE!! :D
Harpjane that's a vermont thing
It's a street theater! Cool website. (Of course I lean to the left anyway.)
Hi Sis.....you ok?? I see my honey *poofed* in earlier!!!! It feels like ages since I last saw him !!!
evan, did you see them in Germany?
Bread and Puppet is a grassroots kinda theater company + theyre most well-known for these enormous puppets
i saw them once when i was in college
Not too bad lotti, and you? Did the chocolate work yesterday? ;)
Any body care to get me started on the ar's? All I can find is the 4/4 and its plural.
hi lotti : )
Hi fellow Babblers! :)
They just had a demonstration in Montreal using bread and puppet like things. It was outside the conference on global warming and pollutants.
Hey movieman, how goes the hunt?
LOL Yeah sis in a round a bout fashion!!!! I think it`s also a good excuse when a female is feeling that way out!!!!!
Hiya Bugzy
Harpjane - there are two plurals...
*poof* Another manic Monday, but I'm around. (((((((((((((((lotti) )))))))))))))
hi lotti, h*jane, yoink, minski, gramma...
hi bugzy, torgone...
shroeder, punster....
Hi ((((((((((Babe)))))))))))) xXxXxXx I`ve missed you xxx Hi Temple :)
TempleOwl , this grid is a toughie.
BRB Baby has thrown all of her toys out of her playpen and now wants to be let out so she can throw them all back in.
Hi Temple :)
Ar5/10 - the last name of the man who played Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films, minus the first letter... Don't have the 6 or 7 tho! Hi Schroeder, TempleOwl :)
yes it is, but i tryong to relaxz and go with the flow!
Hey Yoink.....you back to full fitness???
well , maybe a little too relaxed...: 0
ar6: posh people, but first vowel on end instead ar7: plural
About as full as it gets, which isn't much
Hi Temple,
Thanks Babbler :)
Oh good Yoink.....glad to hear it!!! My son is still off school.
Punster, not doing too badly, considering I keep losing my net connection.... Just need 11 more....
got A7, E7, and S7 -- any hints on the missing 7?
evanadine, got 2 E7
e7/40 e7/48
Movieman needs help.... The last no5/10......... Gracias...... .
Lotti, I haven't had a bad cold for a while, since I started taking vitamin supplements on a friend's advice
ok, i have the questioning one...
Movieman I have to ask, how many were got with a2z?
Hi Babbler
hi cyber
movieman - change the letter on your 2nd to last no5/10
evanadine, change the last letter
Punster - most of them, actually, 'cos I wanted 2 finish as quickly as poss b4 I lost my connection.....
I'm down to 27, and only just starting to look at the hints - though I'm stuck bigtime for most ;-(
ar 6 & 7?
Have 2 more to go ... any hints for the er's please? Thanks.
thanks schroeder. *kicks self*
yw evanadine
2nd ar 5/10?
cyber, plural of ar 4.4
Cyber A different way to pluralize the 4.
ch1212 - "mistake and mistakes"
er5&6 - mistake (and plural)
Ty -- forgot the greek!
ar 5/10-plural of 4/4 ar 5/10-- "A Man Called 'orse" Actor, Richard 'ar***
Anj, you still there babe?
anyone got the Ps?
Bugzy, THANKS! I can't believe I missed those... smack, smack with Idaho trout. That does it, and it's so humbling to realize I have never made it through one of these without asking for help at least once. :-) Thanks again!
Still waiting patiently for ar 6 & 7 clues?
harpjane -- the upperclass
harp - ar6 name of famous record label and then add another vowel for the 7
harpjane, first is upperclass person without the crat, and second is alternative spelling
Yay ch1212! BTW, very appropriate numbers in your name for today :)
nevermind, found my Ps hehe
Forgot one of the ar word in my last hint. Did you get it cyber? I actually left out the one you needed...
ar6: def - A bristlelike part or appendage, such as the awn of grains and grasses or the process near the tip of the antenna of certain flies. ar7: plural
evanadine, just got them. They both end in two vowels :)
Thank you! Off to my other job now.
for the ey's, I have: 4/6 - baby falcon 4/6 - one who looks 4/6 - character of Charlotte Bronte 5/14 - eagle's nest What am I missing, please?
Thanks, Bugzy -- Dec 12 (12/12) was my mom's birthday, the day I started a recovery program, the date my divorce was final, and ... okay, this one is weird to remember, but it happened to be the date I lost my status as a virgin -- 35+ years ago... Okay, too much information!
Bye Harpjane
LOL ch1212... It's also my son's birthday (he's 6 today)
c-nan another 5/14
Babbler, isn't it your birthday?????
Got em all, Harpjane
fmitch -- could you give me clues for the ey 4 and ey 5 that I am missing?
any hints on the other ey5/14? Monkeytyping is doing nothing for me..
no schroeder, mine's in october
Bugsy, ey 5/14 second -- take first 5/15 and change the last letter to a consonant
oops, I meant take the first ey 5/14..
Thx ch1212 - coulda sworn I tried that :)
Sorry babbler, didn't mean to rush another one on you then...
cybernan - do you have the ey4 that's an anagram of the ea4/6 (meaning simple) ?
helllo!
hi sam! how r u today?
*YET ANOTHER ICON UPDATE*
does anyone else see the bionicle again???
yes, Bugzy - that's the unfledged falcon
ok..you???
Hi sam! :)
Any guessing game with this one evanadine Hi Sam!!!
Ok - then for the one you're missing, change the Bronte character's last letter to another vowel
heh, no, just found it on google. i believe it is from an album called "bread, love, and cha cha cha"
c-nan, sorry got caught up with work there but lloks like you are getting good clues from the rest of the family!
hello shroeder! hello lola 100!
Thank you Bugzy!
You're welcome... those pesky e's!
2 words left and need clues for both, please.... ao 6/18 si 6/18 (last one, not the mountain)
any clues on th no/4's PLEASE I REALLY cant get 1 of them
cyber, for the ao, add four letters that sound like what joins your hand to your arm :)
Thank you --- I have Finished!!!!!!!!!!
Yay Cybernan!!
Yay! Well done cybernan :)
no 4/4: french black (film genre) (4/5 is plural) no 4/4: anagram of above
Congrats cybernan!!
woohoo c-nan!
Sorry, cybernan. Wish I could help; but, I'm really pokey today. The wee one is fussy and just wants to be held.
go cyber nan! go cyber nan! go cyber nan!
Oops! I told you I was pokey. WTG Cybernan.
I've finished but it took me looking at a2z to do it. I swear that one day I'll finish one of these without that site ;P
Thanx cybernan I now got them but was REALLY stuck and wouldn't have got them without your help
Anyone need a clue before I leave to begin the next round of Christmas chores?
And Yay for Punster!!
WTG Punster...
Yay! Well done Punster :)
hmm, cyber, maybe the first si6?
Great work, punster!
here we go again.. go punster! go punster! go punster!
Punster -- I used it at first, but prefer not to now -----still, I couldn't solve the grid without the aid of my babbling friends and BJ's list.
Any of you Brits near the refinery fire?
Oh, BTW -- Congrats, Punster!
I know I'm going to need the fish for asking, but I'm not seeing the re4/4 and 5/10 combo... Please?
no but my nan is..
Hi torgone :) Miyavi is only 2 miles from it...but she is okay :)
Torgone, 45 miles away when it blew and it woke me up : /
bugzy - no fish. not a combo. the 4 is a pl (shows up in a lot of grids), the 5 is what the TV networks always did in the summer
Hi Hurshy! si 6/18: -- spanish mountains as Si____ Nevada, or high si_____
cyber? first si6?
oops cross posted. :)
tor - I've got the smoke over me today. the air stinks, and you can taste it too. it's been kind of dark all day. sunrise this morning was weird. sunset was too just now.
Yikes!
Thanks hurshy - I was so sure they went together - didn't even think to look apart!!
oh no. then what's the 7?
tor - it was 2.4 on the richter scale...
hurshy: someone who travels in the si6, like John Muir?
re 4/4: re + 2nd person, present of 'to be' re 5/10: fled again
right, adj, got it
John Prescot was on teh news earlier - he said it's NOT toxic. But we've been told to stay indoors, and draught-proof our homes if we can......
Hurshy I was on the other night from home and tried to send you a message about one of your clues. it won't let me do that - I just wanted to tell you that I was on bended knee again - great clue - I think that it was for the backwards opposite of loss one, had to laugh. thanks jo
si 7 -- extension of the si 6/18: one who lives there, I suppose.
Thanks cybernan, got them :) One to go ...
Right, all vowel starting words rounded up, but in a lrage field and bombed. Time of an indigestatory interludium again, which is a floccinaucinihilipilification phrase in itself...
U know how annoying it is when u help a friend play Babble, and u do better than u woulda for urself?
I am missing the 1st AE 4/4. Could someone please point me in the correct direction? THanks.
hey joey. :) lol. glad i was able to help. :) :) :)
It happened to me on Friday I only had 25min to play, so I went on movieman's game instead of mine and got 125 words out of 187!
minski, think of a three letter word meaning a long time, this is a variant
hi gang! anyone got the last ar5?
Right, must go for now...have to go on sunbed, I feel like i`ve more spots than a dot to dot book!!!!! Prob be back later :o)
Did you ingest a thesaurus or some other compendium, anj?
Um, if that means you're leaving Anj, see you later :) (If not, then, um, enjoy yourself!?)
ae 4/4 - long period of time
flocci-etc is one of my favorite words! I used to have students try to spell it, just for fun. Upon failure, they always concluded I was smarter than they. (Possibly erroneous, of course, but pleasant nevertheless!)
1st ae4/4 is a long long time..... Most of us only use the 3 letter e version of the word.
last ar5 - "stepmom" actor ed h*****
Torgone, no, just something from earlier in the log. Gotta eat. BBL ; )
hey, brandyjack, did you enjoy brandy day? did you see my jack icon?
'bye sis (((x))), see you later! :)
thank you! I'm done!
Later lotti! (((((((((XXXXXXX)))))) )) Don't burn!
wow brandyjack your the one that does babblers anon!
oh yeah, i forgot to say i finished a few mins ago
Indeed I am.
See you later babe (((xxx))) :) I too must leave...dinner to prepare :)
Yay misstearweus !
Way to go, Hurshy!

Anyone here from upper midwest, USA?
yay hurshy!
Yay for Bugzy too! I'm done :)
Fabulous job Bugzy!
Well, I don't know if you call Detroit upper midwest, but that's where I am, Rob :)
all right, bugzy!
Thanks miss :)
Away to the shops -- see you at the flip!
and thanks Temple Owl, and bye cybernan :)
Thanks Bugzy...looking for Minnesota or Dakotas
bye, cybernan
monring y'all! any clues for the two or's? I guess the cookie sandwich ones are not real words... *sigh*
Happy shopping cybernan
I'm from Minnesota
I'm off now, see u all sometime!
Go Vikes!
This is my time ever on all 3 ranking lists since I fell victim to Babble in July. Barely clinging to each list, but there nonetheless. Yeah!
bye Punster :) walnutchen: first or4 is the first few letters of The Big Easy; second has a double consonant in the middle and a vowel on each end
I am missing one of the TY words. I have: ~a word with no definition that ends in a double vowel ~the British spelling of the things that cars have 4 of ~a beginner in learning something Please help with the one I'm missing. Thanks.
thanks for the yays, folks. going to lunch now. see y'all later. and thanks for bread day! :) :)
Congrats misstearweus
bugzy: "The Big Easy", as in, the movie?
As in, the city. Second word of it, I meant to say...
Minski: its an anagram of the wheels...
Minski - I think you're missing either the anagram of the car part, or the car part with a different vowel on the end
Bye hurshy!
She's missing the anagram of the car part.
Hi all has anyone had the problem i have at the moment I left babble for a while ,when i came back all my words have gone!!!!!!! Although when i flipped to stats I have finished(which i had)
Evening all, Can anyone help me with the En7 (not the interrogative one) tia!
Others have reported that problem in the past caitlyn, although I have never been afflicted with it.
Both en 7 are about asking questions.
They're both interogative...
caitlyn F5 (refresh) usually works for most glitches on babble.
gracious, so they are! How'd I miss that? Thanks for pointing me straight, anyway guys :)
thanks brandyjack thought my computer was on the blink
As Fmitch says, f5 smolves most problems, reboots and Firefox solve the rest.
i am just not getting the ors - i have one but the car part is eluding me....
Although I think Firefox is the reason EZboard hangs up on secure credit card transactions. I use I.E> for most things, but Firefox for Babble and Babblers Anon.
ok i got it but i don't see the car part *thwack*
Temple, the car part is a ty, not an or.
The two or's are the border of a coat of arms and some undefined acronym with a double consonant and vowel ending....
ooh, Dr G has been kind today with only 106 words to find... hello all :)
ah...the fun of babbling at work...even tho it's lunchtime i feel obliged to answer phone since i am here...
Actually, after some digging, both or4's have to do with heraldry. The second one is a type of field. Wikipedia says 'an ermine charge cannot be placed on an or4/4 field'.
sherb, don't get too carried away - may be 106 words but......watch out!
i have the re6 for the one that is one who re4's; any help on the other?
In fact, the second or4/4 is a golden metal. And I wrongly attributed it to Wikipedia, instead it's from septempontia.org which uses a wiki to organize it's data.
hi FMitch :) I knew as soon as I wrote the words that I was tempting fate, lol :D
Temple - both re6s are those who re4... one is like a parent, the other a fisherman
ty bugzy - now missing one of the 4! i thinkit may be break time!
the re4's are to raise a child and to re** in your line.
The third ends with the present of to be. I am and he **.
I must go get some (real) work done now... Bye all, and Happy Bread Day! :)
ty all - got them - left to take a phonecall
This IS the only real work I an doing today..... Or for the next month. Exept cooking of course, but that's not work.....
bye bugzy!
Thank God! My coonection lasted long enough for me to finish! I'm done and leaving til tomorrow!
brandyjack - that sounds like a heavenly month...
bye Bugzy :) bye movieman :)
bye movieman!
It would be except it's -12C outside (+18F). Or course, that measn no grass to cut, walk to sweep, or pool to clean. Instead I get to sit out at my father-in-laws's U'Cut christmas tree farm to keep an eye on the old coot.
Hi! :)
I think I'd rather be at work... hi Miyavi :) what did you do with yourself today?
Christmas shopping...got waylaid by a madly smiling woman trying to teach me about spiritual happiness for "a small price" Never been so scared in my life. What did you get up to?
hi, miyavi! : )
Hi Miyavi, how are you
Hey Temple! :) How are you?
Hey Schroeder, I'm great thanks, you? Wow...I feel popular ^_^
two intense bouts of work (ie emails and meetings), with a working lunch sandwiched in between...not bad, actually
You are Miyavi :) Good day at school for you
Sherb, and did you find spiritual fulfillment whilst doing that? lol :) Schroeder, no school today! Or tomorrow ^_^ The oil depot exploded two miles away from where I am (blowing my door off :/ ) so we can't go to school because of the noxious fumes outside.
...So of course, all the students were ignoring the carcogenic fumes warnings and were uptown...
How scary Miyavi, I didn't know it was so close to you, I'm glad to see you are staying safe indoors.
MIyavi - thankfully, I don't seek spiritual fulfilment at work...I'm happy just to do my job, enjoy the company of my colleagues...and get paid for it... Is it still very smoky where you are, or is it clearing>
Thanks Schroeder :) I love your icon by the way, that's so original! I need to change mine for the theme... Sherb, it's clearing now and heading South...we can see the flames from where we are :/
Woah...gotta go pick my way through a pile of ironing. Be back in 20...hopefully. If I make it out alive :/
Hi all... Miya - I am glad you are o.k...that must have been so scary!!
*ties rope around Miyavi waist* okay dive in Hi Eastern!!!
hi EB :) later Miyavi :) off to get some food myself...back later...
I'm attempting to keep warm with some soup...my 'cube' at work is Freezing!!
Schroeder - do you sign??
Hi Sherb...
i swear, im gonna start hiding during my lunch break...i cant even get a full half-hours peace around here...
106...done!
hi kids!
congrats T-Owl!!
No Eastern, just thought I would bring a little educational value to Hurshy's bread day, since I believe he is a teacher....
hi boreetos!
hurshy's a she.
eb, who's your icon?
hi TO, good job!
Yah Temple!!! Hi boreetoa!!
hi schroeder!
Schroe - very nice icon...I know a little sign...used to work at a camp where we had some deaf kids - learned all the 'bad' words first so we knew when they were swearing at us!! : D
i really enjoyed this one - challenging but short enought not to agonize or race vs. time...
Oops Haz, I did know that, my fingers are not moving with my brain again, And that would be Hi boreetos!!
Yeah, TempleOwl! WTG. I just finished also.
hey - has anyone seen joelgee or ohro lately?
way to go, gramma!
Haz - is your icon fruitcake?? I wasn't sure if it would qualify for 'bread', but I've been listening to Christmas carols & wanted to stay in the spirit of the upcoming holiday!!
Congrats gramma!! I'm slacking today 39 left...
congrats gramma!
TY all. Now I can devote my life to this perfect baby.
Have fun gramma
I will.ttfn
bye, gramma! and bye, everyone! see you tomorrow!
si 7? and the preceeding 6?
Bye Temple
bye gramma - bye T-Owl...
people been talkin bout me. :) i'm a she, and a teacher, yes. and haven't seen joelgee in ages, much to my chagrin.
Hi hurshy, I knew you were a she...need to have my nails trimmed and my brain recharged so the two work together....
lol :)
harpjane, think of a mountain range in nevada for the si6, then add another letter for the 7
Thank you dl, that one tricks me every time!
Sorry, Easternblue to take so long to reply - my icon is wheaten bread, an Irish speciality.
Haz...it looks good...I may have to change my fruitcake!
It's absolutely delicious - very flavoursome.
any clues on the last ha5/16?
nvm! got it! :)
It's the name of Prince William's brother. Or a dirty Clint Eastwood?
We used to pass a fruitcake around our family for years. The pigs wouldn't eat it, so we used it as a doorstop.
Now that I have the ha 5/16, I realize that someone used a word in the log earlier, talking about H Potter.... hee hee hee!
My husband loves fruitcake, but I haven't made it for years...
Plum Pudding is type of bread isn't it?
harp - you must have a phtographic memory 8)
My stove is on the fritz. I can't even bake a muffin until the new one is delivered on the 28th. All the food pictures are making me depressed. On the other hand, I don't have to do ANY Christmas baking, and I'll be taking jello to the potlucks....so I get off easy!
Lol harp... Hi Ren!!!
*re-enters grandly* TA DA!!! *jazz hands*
hi shro brandy - according to julia child - you are correct!
my husband sez i am a fruit cake
I have a roast beef in the oven. Just remembered I had found a site with sauerbraten sauce. Off to get the ingredients. Too lazy to do sauerbraten the proper way (5 day marinade)..... Been too long since I had sauerbraten........
Brandy!!! but its worth the effort and wait
You made it back safely Miyavi! did you get your ir**ing done?
But my refridgerator is too small to have something that big that long...........
Ooh, didn't see that one in there...:) Yup, big pile up of clothes waiting to be transported to my bedroom :) Thought I was gonna have to call for back-up when a bedsheet went mad, but it was all okay :)
Must work a while, back later for my last 12....
Later Schroeder :)
Hi babble people!!!! How is everyone! I miss playing soooooooo much!!! Thought I'd pop in and say hi - besides I saw today was "bread day" and I found the perfect icon....... BrandyJack - saw your post on the sauerbraten - I have made that before for an "untraditional" Christmas Day dinner for family - with gingersnap gravy and homemade potato pancakes .... mmmmmmmmm.....
Hey Mama! :D How are you?
Hey Miyavi!! Tired..... very tired..... how are you doing? Getting a break from school soon?
ea 6/18? I saw a clue earlier but can't find it. I have all the other ea's.
Mama, getting a break from school now! Since the explosion, school's been off thanks to the noxious fumes hovering above St Albans. The blast blew my bedroom door off!
explosion??????
*Tackles Mamabear in a HUGE BEAR HUG* MAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've missed you!!
Mama, didn't you hear? An oil depot in hemel blew up on sunday morning, roundabout 6.
*mamabear staggers backwards as she catches EasternBlue in mid air* I've missed you too!!!!
Myi--surely you have something better to do than iron, on a school closing day. Although I imagine you are all sort of in shock still.
harp -- that couldn't be any more ea4/6 that falling off a log! MAMA!!!!! (*HUG*)
No, I didn't hear, Miayvi.... how awful!!!! But I'm glad you are ok..... if your bedroom door blew off, it must have been way too close to you.... how scary!!
Oh no, not really in shock. We didn't know the school was closing until last night, though, so I didn't get time to get anything organised. So I just went Xmas shopping instead ^_^
Thank you GW, guess I'm not too sharp today!
GW!!!!!!! *mamabear runs over and tackles GW hugging him senseless*
Thanks Mama :) It was scary at the time, but now it's a good way to get out of school, I guess. It's horrible, though, because we can see the fire still raging where we are :/
Hi Woulf! *comes skipping over* (((Woulf)))
(*face turns red from pressure of impact*) (*cough*) Maa..ma.. can't.....breathe.... ;D
Yay! BUNDLE!!!
((Miyavi)) I've been lurking for a bit -- trying to finish before I have to go out into the cold snow with the baby :)
what a conversasion to come in on ?? Miy I am glad you are alright..... some one was on the chat when the explosion went off I think it was sherb..... Mama who's the bear LOL I almost thought I was chatting incognito.....LOL
it is - the mama bear!
gw are you still here or come back ??
Mama, I've given up on patato pancakes. Love them, but just can't learn to cook them. I wind up with a pan full of mashed potatoes or something resembling hash brown bits every time. The sauerbraten sauce I found is for a meatball hors d'oeuvres. Might work. Might be just tempting enough to get me off my lazy butt and do it right sometime.
You have snow?! Lucky lucky lucky...we have looming smokey clouds that stink of oil :/
Blaze - I came back -- I've only been here for about an hour -- had to be quiet due to baby distracting me
myavi, where exactly is Hemel? Is it in the industrial port area near London?
I, um, wish I knew. Not that great with the local geography. The best I've ever done is direct some tourists to the local Sainsbury's :/ But it must be, though, I guess...pretty near London, anyway. Two miles away from St Albans
mama you are the bear hands down I give up the bready bear...... LOL Brandy --- if you move the fry pan as you put the potatoe mix in the pan it is less likely to stick much.... but I agree it is a lot of work for those delious things...
brandyjack -- I have the same prob with potato pancakes -- but I'm working on it! Usually if I don't get what I want, I toss in some scrambled eggs and mixed veg and turn it into a stovetop scramble :)
Mama -- how was the concert? and how much snow did you get?
Hi guys, I'm back :) Could someone please give me a hint for the ry?
Woulfie...(I went to the U2 concert - it was AWESOME!)...not too much snow here - only 4 inches...
Hi Lola! :)
hi lola!!
lola - "A handwoven Scandinavian rug with a thick pile and usually colorful abstract designs."
Lola ry... first vowel, turnie consonent.
Hi miyavi! How you doing? :)
lola ry+ first two letters of the name for donkey
Thanks guys! I was sure I had tried that...lol!
EB - the report says we got between 7 & 9 inches here, but I only see about 4-5 -- just enough for Kristianna to make her first snowman :D
ooo...snowman!! we don't have enough sticky snow to make those yet!
Hi east! U2 hey? I'm a huge fan of their earlier stuff :)
they did a couple of early numbers...first time I ever saw them...but it was great - they played for over 2 hours!
Hi guys :) Lola you just used a word in the log!
EB -- it's a tiny one, bec the snow was really too powdery except where the sun had melted it a bit -- but that made it just her size ;D
I'm great thanks! How are you?
We got about 8 inches of snow last Thursday.. And about 2 more over the weekend. GW - the concert was wonderful, but exhausting!!! I am touched that you remembered!!! *wink* Brandyjack - my recipe for Sauerbraten only calls for a 24 hour marinade... and the potato pancake recipe starts with grating fresh potatoes.... and the gravy is wish crushed gingersnap cookies..... alot of work. but definitely worth it for this German girl!
East, did they do 'where the streets have no name'??
Ah Woulf, she sounds sweet :) How old is she?
Yoink, if you tell tales I will be forced to use the mommy voice on you and put you on the naughty step! lol!
Lola, you've done it twice now!
Miy - 2 years, 4 months - cute as a button and knows it, too!
lola...they did...
Hi renfield!!!!! sorry - didn't see your post - I didn't scroll down far enough. Trying to stealth chat while working...
Awww! Sounds like a two year old at my church, she's sooo lovely. Curly hair and she always runs up to me and I pick her up and we have a good cuddle :) She's gorgeous
Oooh! Did you sing it then EB?? *glares at yoink*
I'm having trouble finish the ar's -- can't seem to figure the 2nd ar5/10 -- help please?
Blaze - you like my bready teddy bear?????
do you have ar 5 that ends with a vowEl
Mama I had the bready bear yesterday....LOL
nope
lola...I did...I don't think Bono heard me tho'...I was pretty far up in the arena!!
GW, both ar5/10's are plurals...think vowel plural :)
it is the ar 6 and 7 that are gicing me a run around
Thanks lola!
EB, if you sang it with feeling he heard you girl! :)
Blaze -- "A bristlelike part or appendage, such as the awn of grains and grasses or the process near the tip of the antenna of certain flies."
blaze, think english wealthy people or a record lable :)
eerrgh...I have a call coming in for work...gotta go for now!
And I am finished!! Tricky board for all its lack of size -- glad to see the back of it!
thank you lola I was stuck on another word root... thank you
'bye EB :)
Well done GW! :) You're welcome blaze :)
have to log off...... hope to see you all later!! Have a great day.. and happy babbling!!!!
'bye mamabear :)
So long, MAMA ((((*HUG*))))
bye mama
bye lola! bye GW *big hugs back*
*HUG* Bye Mama...bye all - I'll be back soon!
see ya later EB & Blaze!!!! Have a good day.
Nice one Woulf! :D
Bye E4/4ernBlue ..
Bye for now, EB (*hug*)
good going gw... I will be glad to see the back of this one too.... I think I have Zubie's sneezes this morning...
*hands blaze a tissue*
thank you the hot coffee is helping too...
oh no, Blaze -- an old Italian folk remedy that usually works for me when I feel a cold coming on is to eat a clove of raw garlic with a shot of lemon juice -- Breath is bad for a bit, but it works ;)
it keeps the sick people away from you for sure.... I think my sneezing is the dust that is blowing around in here this morning... some one should do something about that....ROFLOL
Garlic is the best! It definitely helps a cold. Mix it with a little honey and eat it raw.
Blaze -- I ran into that prob when I worked for Waldenbooks years ago -- I developed a dust sensitivity cos of all the books
Anj is in the house : )
Garlic and honey?! Last night I was teaching Anj how to ask for 'pescatore prepared with pancreas' in Japanese but that's something else culinarily altogether.
Why, speak of the devil :) It's Anjypops! Sorry, I'm not gonna let that go :D
: ' (
Hey Anj
garlic & honey? never would have put those two together -- and I am known for creating some odd combos :D
Hey babe (((x))) :)
what horror those er's are
Thank you for that reminder Miya ; ) EvaNadine was calling me Anjerino this afternoon... Hi Yoink : )
Hey babe (((xxx))) : D
Our timing is out tonight babe, I have to disappear for 20 minutes...will you wait for me? xxx :)
But it is time for me to go -- gotta go play in the snow :) and then pound the pavement some more :( I'll try to be back later (*hugs for all*)
What's the deal with Respect the Bread? I've seen it a few times, today and other places.
good luck GW

Good thanks boreetos, and you? Has anyone seen baggo since she started her new job?
got close and closer
no4/4 - old Babblefave - Porphyra or red algae prep. Sounds like an apology with an N not an S - add an A to the end for an no5 - swap the A for an S to plural the no4/4
thanks, Anj, just looking for the last two 5's now. joey

ok joey...here's a cloth ...dry the fish !!
Thanks, Karys P - one is pr with a double vowel, the other one looks to me like it would sound like a part of a boat, pr, first vowel, circle vowel.

Karys, how about more slim?
karys, do you have even more thin?

Anj, you still there babe?
Yes, sorry, been yapping the folks on the phone. What have I missed ?? : /
Well, I'm off...still haven't put my door back on after the explosion blew it off! Must do that...
Bye Miyavi, be careful...
Cheers Baggo, i'm fine thanks
'bye Miya : )
'bye miyavi :) Anj, what's the verdict on michelle branch?
bye miyavi
ooo...ni nite Miya xx
Lo, she's good. One of the rockier singer/songwriters that I listen to. Probably more commercial than Liz Phair and not as country as Mel Etheridge, although her new band leans in that direction.
She reminds me a bit of kt tunstall...am I on the right track? Worth downloading then?
Greetings, fellow Babblers...need help finding two words that should be obvious but are not...no 4/4 and no 5/10....have the film genre and its plural, the loudness and the water wheel. Any clues......
Mubner, take the A off the end for the no4/4 and pluralise for the no5/10 : )
...that was the end of the waterwheel word...
mubner, take the last letter off the waterwheel and pl
Lo, yup, well worth it : )
Yay! Just got a wildhearts track I haven't heard come up! :)
anj...lol our clues... lola not that i'm in on it but i would say yes she's worth downloading...(((goes back to minding own business)
Okay sweetie, she has been added to the list and I'll let you know what I think :)

Ty all, *takes a glass from Karys* Cheers
wtg schroeder....***pours magnum of champers***
oooooo.....I got the Christmas songs on Magic...it's Bing and wots is name...
They aren't just now. Ginger is releasing a solo album called Valor Del Carzon on the 19th and is playing London as a one-off on Friday 27th January. That's it for a while although i'm on their mailing list so I will know when they do decide to hit the road again.
What's he like solo?
29 words to go but must run for the girlies at school. hope to come back and finish this one........
...a proper troubador really. Bottle of red, packet of marlboro, accoustice guitar, hat and cracking sense of humour. Full electric set on the 27th tho' with guests...pretty much the same sort of thing as I saw in the Barfly a few weeks back : )
Bye bbnaz, drive careful..
Hi. I asked this earlier but baby needed attention and then household stuff called and I'm just getting back to it. Instead of hunting through the posts I'm going to ask again...... I am only missing one TY word. I have: the one with no definition that ends in a double vowel, the British spelling of the thing that your car has 4 of, and a beginner in learning something. Please help. Thanks.
respell the wheel one
Sounds good babe, you're going to have to take me to see him some time. Another question... have you ever seen the Stones?
Thanks Karys. I swear I tried that one hours ago, but I must be having flashbacks to another grid.
Okay, couldn't stay away. Door is back on, Kasumi translation is finished...now I have to deal with English words :/
know what you mean Minski ;)
Hey Miya, my auto-radio is playing me Golbal Communication by Glay : )
you a definate addict Miya !!
Welcome back Miyavi!
Lo, no I haven't. I have this thing about paying large amounts of money to see ants in the distance...
Oooh, Glay! Glay were talent spotted by the same person as Dir en Grey, that's enough to make me like them :)
Karys...no comment :D Thanks Schroeder! :)
Lola, I saw the Stones 3 times in the past when tickets were priced reasonable
how's the puzzle today?
Nava, puzzling ; ) Miya, they're a bit more commercial if you ask me
i worked on it for a little bit last night and got 36 words. so today i have to buckle down. there just aren't a ton jumping out at me today.
Schroeder, it's not the price I object to, it's the size of the venue. If I can't see the whites of their eyes unaided i'm not interested.
A lot more commercial...they care about what people think too much :) Dir en Grey...care too little
can't find the last ar 5 - can anyone help? thanks
Miya, that's known as artistic integrity. Do what you want, not what they want. It's the conflict reactor that powers the music industry really...
Joey, Steve H..... bass player with Iron Maiden. Drop the H : )
I need help with A words. Only have one ar5 (plural of an ar4)Also need help with ar6 and ar7. And er5 and er6 too
GGGRRRR!!! Darn O words. I don't have any of them. Could someone please help? Thanks muchly.
thanks again, Anj
Peri, the ar6 is a record label that counts Manly Barrilow, Aretha Franklin and the Eurythmics among its roster. Add an E for the 7
I agree with you Anj, But I also have a problem paying that much money for a band I have seen in the past for way less. I must confess to spending quite a bit for my husband to see Fleetwood Mac a few years back
Exactly Anj! And God save the queen. ...the timing just felt right :/
Anj, thanks found ar6 and 7. Knew the label but not sure how to spell it. Checked with Google :)
gah! just reading over the lyrics I did and I'm so, so glad I didn't have to translate from Kanji to romanisation...I can just think of the mess I'd make of yominekashitsuki!
Schroeder, exactly. All the bands i've seen this year have come in at under $20 a ticket. If I want to see the big names I just do the festivals and take my pic of the acts on offer. The only band i've seen do BIG shows is Rush.
oh for goodness sake...yomineka$hitsuki
Miya, welcome to the wide, wide world of freedom of speech ; )
MInski, the only O word I have is an o5/10. The first two letters are the same. No def. but it has been in grids before.
Careful Anj, that could be a dangerous thing for me :) As it is, you've got freedom fighters in my head..."freedom of speech! freedom of thought! That freedom over there is ignoring us completely..."
can i please have a clue for the ao 6/18 ty
thanks Peri. I found that one just as you reminded me.
Hi sandr : ) How are you?? It's ao plus sounds like the bit between your hand and arm
Sandr ~ add on to the end the last 4 letters of the thing that attaches your hand to your arm.
ty got it
how is everyone?
has anyone have a clue for the ey5/14... i have the birds home one ...tyvm
Mo - change the last letter on your 5/14 from a vowel to a constent
Sandr we're fine - how are you both?
plodding along - gpoing away for xmas - both looking forward to it
Schroeder ..thank you so much i have it now!
All is well here. I was a tad worried about our friends across the pond but have read that all is well. It seems the largest problem was the loss of Miy's bedroom door. I am planning a combination Chanukah and December Birthdays Family Party for this Sunday. I finally have an almost complete headcount. You would think family would be more responsible about RSVPing. (insert rolling eyes smilie here).
Fine thanks sandr. Hope you have a nice time over Xmas :)
Oookay...I've gotta go dream mad/morbid Dir en Grey inspired dreams...shouldn't have translated before bed! See you tomorrow after a night of what seems to be Kyo's mother being murdered by his father o.o
...And Minski, the bedroom door grew back this evening :) *unhooks fingers from keyboard, makes self leave*
That reminds me, it's 3 weeks until my birthday!!
'nite Miya : ) Lola, are you still there babe??
good afternoon fellow babblers, just have a couple of more minutes and wondered if there are any clues for the en 7/48 and/or the si 7/28...

Schroeder thanks also
Babble does strange things to your mind... makes you blind to words that are RIGHT THERE... That's why we have the fish

joey, it would be a mistake (and plural) if you didn't get the er words
please help me with the si 6/18 ty

AR5/10...ADD ANOTHER VOWEL AT THE END OF AR4/4
Ouwachita ...thanks a lot you made that easy
I am having issues with the NA 5/10. Could someone please assist me? Thanks.
NA5/10...HITLER WAS THE HEAD OF THE NA___...CHANGE THE MIDDLE LETTER
Thanks Ouwa. This is so frustrating. I would swear I tried that one too. I think I need a drink or a jacuzzi.
Minski look at Anj's clue at 4:22
si5/10...they both begin with "to ___, with love"
*hands Minski a drink*
hi kids!

G'night all...just finished the grid & now I have to go & do laundry.... Catch you all later!
wow its very quiet in here is anybody here?
it's kind of scaring me
shorty - I was thinking the same thing...that's why I'm headin' out... You have the same icon as Mamabear (and Blaze until he changed)

i know that was funny
it's like a lot of people are missing, could it be the fumes across the big pond?
could beeeeee........

did the rapture come and I missed it.......
* scans the sky * i don't think sooo....
whew!
probaly a man eating bear instead.
hmmmmmm*
help please with my last one - i think it is the last no5/10, i have the water wheel one
I think it is just you and me but when my ride gets her i have to leave:(
sorry kristen, i can do you no good - it's just as well that i be alone anyway!
evanonut why do you want to be alone??
It's an algae, but it sounds like a plural of the no4 above it.
i'm bad company today kristen - no good no good at all
awwww dont say that that is not true
brandy jack your back! (that rhymed)
thanks brandyjack, can't believe i missed that one sorry evanonut, bad day at work?
Yea, I come and go like the tides.......
hi all!
bad week coming up, was hoping te get to tell everyone to have a good week, but looks like most are mia.
me too BJ lol
we were themed for you yesterday brandy jack, or was it the day before?
it was yesterday, evanonut you husband isn't the one doing chemo is he?
well, things to do, guess i'll try again later, if i don't see you guys later...then have a good week!
Yesterday I think. Although, for an alleged brandy thief, I really can't stand the stuff. Drambuie and Grand Marnier are my choice poisons....
and yes he is, starting tomorrow, but technically its immuno.
take care evanonut - chin up!
evanonut keep your faith and your strength
I know I'll need the fish for this one, but does anyone have the LE 6/18?
tx
Any clues for ae 5/10... Please
le4/4 only more so....
add to you le 4/4...
ae5/10 eagles nest....
yes I need the fish. I was looking down for the last 2 letters but didn't look up. *smack*smack*smack*
evanonut if you are still on line my prayers are with you and your husband
Brandy Jack- Do you have another clue.. I don't get it...
it's like the ee5/10.
Kristina add a vowel to the word above it
sorry kristina i gave clue for wrong word
I was like I tried that... LoL.. Thanks for the offer..
any clues for last re5/10 last ar5/10 and last ty4/6 my brain is addled
Thank you so much Brandy Jack...
ty4/6 change last letter of word above it to another vowel
someone enters a marathon for the second time, they could be said to have re** it.
ty4/6, someone who is a rank beginner at something can be said to be a ty**.
Ar*** gutter, a gutter of a V form fixed to the eaves of a building. Also seems to be related to the ar6 beard of an ear of grain....
Well, oldest daughter says she doesn't want to go to work with caterpillars above her eyes tomorrow so I'm off to get some wax......... What's wrong with turtle wax?????? back in 20 or so.
thanks for your help brandyjack
LOL later brandyjack!
what a dad!
anyone help with the si/6's? I have: gentleman, fellow. Also the si/7!
si6 either a dessert or mountain range
any help on ar6 and 7? Pleeeease!
uh that should be desert not dessert - i'm hungry what can i say!
ooh! good one... thats like my niece, except spelled differently.
ar7/28 - sounds like a followed by body part between arm and hand with two vowelled latin ending.
ar 6 - recording label
The ar 6 is the singular form of the same word.
haz - great sound-out hint!!
Thank you - glad to help.
si 7 add a const. to the end of the desert word
very nice! ty ty ty.
si6/21 add a const to the si5/10 above it
yeah thats the one i had... i need the other... its killin me. I think i am blind tonigh
the second si6/18
the the gentle word add a double middle const
si 6/18 ford car
For the second si 6 - use as many r's and e's as you can
haha! thanks haz... sometimes i have to remember that babble will use every spelling for some words. You spell tomato, i spell tomatoe!
Any chance of some help with my last few? He 5/16 or 4/4 no 5/10 (the last one)
he5/16 - mans name with an e instead of an a
Thank you - got the he word!
no5/10 got me to - make the 4/4 above it plural
Thank you - we're on a roll here!
well the or4s are hard to give clues - there is a singer called no** jones, remove the n and double the const in the middle
Finished at last off to bed now ttfn
good night
haz did you get the or word? do you have the other one?
I have the singer Jones one. It's the other one I need now.
thanks all!
hum, the other one is really hard to give a clue for, the definition is a bearing, in the form of a fillet, round the shield, within, but at some distance from, the border - don't suppose that helps any?
using the upper right o, then r, then left, then down
I remember reading in the log earlier that it had to do with heraldry - I know that or refers to gold but can't quite get those last two letters!
or 4 - sounds like paris airport
Thank you - I was trying to get it from the wrong o! Finished, and thanks for all your help.
help - I have been reading the clues for the si's and I am lost. I still need the si 6/21, and one of the si5/10. I have the one where it is one less consonent in the middle of one of the other si 6's, can't get the other.....
The si 6/21 is an old fashioned word used to address gentlemen. It sounds as though it ends in a vowel, but has a silent consonant on the end.
Both or4's have to do with Heraldry. The first is the border around the blazon, the 2nd is the gold metal background when used for a field. Olde english. First one sounds like Paris airport, 2nd one sounds like a cheer........ As in hip, hip, or**
The si 5/10 is the same word as the 6/21 minus the last consonant.
Time for bed. Goodnight all!
Nite Haz! I am off as well.
Haz, sorry, just is not doing it for me.
joey you must be missing the 5/6 combo - take the first 4 letters of the other 5/6 combo, add a vowel for the 5 then add a const. for the 6
been away for a while -- getting back into the swing, slowly -- any help on the en7's pls
pbr - en = us gossip rag on the newstands - ending consonent change last letter on 2nd en to last vowel (the sometimes vowel)
si 6/21 = si 5/10 double the middle consonent (like yes si* in the military if you commander is male)
driving home now - see ya'll later
renfield -- thx
any help on the he5 or he6? pls
he 5 is a mans name
he 5 is a mans name but changing the second letter
he 6 is someone who he 4 4 more
he 5 16 sounds like ha 5 16
can i get help with er 5 10 and er 6 28 please.
if you make a mistake it is an er***
got it thank you.
Hi everyone. I'm hopelessly stuck on RE6; I have the one that means to jog again. I'd be eternally grateful if I could get a hint for the other.
there's a re6- for fishing and behind- which do you need?
mab- r u there?
Oh beebee, thank you so much. It was the behind one I was missing. Got it now. This grid has been driving me crazy! Dare I ask for a clue on AR5, my last word. I've got the two that end in s.
take ar 5/10 take means A surface, especially an open, unoccupied piece of ground drop the s and add a vowel
i have 12 to find and i am dying here. cannot make that behind or fishing work beebee. i must be really blind
Thank you ever so much.
could I get a list of ees - I can't get to babblers annonymous - TIA
do you have re that means behind/ go to the re** of the store?
Me? Yes, thank you so very much.
ee 5/10 ee 4/6
i have the re except for the two 6ers ee -- think spooky
when you fish, you have a rod and re**- make both re words follow with a vowel and cons.
sorry mab talking to bbnaz
bb- take first re word +er
tyvm beebee. got them. don't know why i can't see sometimes........now on to the rest of the dratted words that escape me.
do the same to the next re4 you have
now for the last three no nos
bbnaz- i know, it's funny the easiest words usually totally escape me :)
OK. I know I'm going to hit myself for this one. I am only missing one word. It is the EA 4/6. Please help me finish this grid finally. Thanks.
that would just be too ea**
doll- i am missing 3 e's- don't know which ones, but i can give you the ee's that i have. let me know.

I'm missing one e. Don't know which one. Got 5 ea, 2 ee, 2 en, 2 er, and 6 ey. What's missing, please?
minski- if lickety was here- you'd get fireworks, but i'm not that talented ;)
Minksi, I believe the theme is art that we like. We can make art or display work of an artist. It's explained more clearly in Babbler's profile.
Gwen you are missing the eu4
eu
gwen- eu4/5
D'uh. Thanks.

My work of art was created by someone else. Face painting by Paigey.
does anyone have a clur for the last ty 4/6?
no 5 is plural of no 4
change the final vowel and you will have that ty
i have a no4 meaning: A genre of crime literature featuring tough, cynical characters and bleak settings. Suggestive of danger or violence. a no 5 that's its plural
ty 4/6 last one ...beginner in learning
Joy Lee: the ty is like the wheel of a car but ends with a different vowel.
i have a no5 that means LOUD
NO 4/4 ~ The first 3 letters are a word that goes with neither and then add a vowel to the end. NO 5/10 add another vowel NO 5/10 pluralize the 4/4
A NO 5 THAT MEANS A water wheel with buckets attached to its rim, used to raise water from a stream, especially for transfer to an irrigation channel.
7 to go....doing a bit of a happy dance with the prospectus of finishing my third grid! thank you for the help as the going gets rough!
now just the ar and the le the "ar-le"s ;~P
no 5/14?
no5/14 = loud
so I see, tor! thank you!
thank the lord babblers anon is back up- now i can find out what i'm missing
okay need help with the le5 that falls between the sitcom guy and oogling someone
nevermind.......got it. and he is dead
now those pesky last three ar 6,7,5
i'm home 8)
any help with those final three? or has anybody seen previous clues?
ar 5 = richard h***** (man called horse)
bb- take the first ar 4/4- add a vowel- that's the only one i have- sorry
anyone have clues for the last no 4/4, and no5/10
from minski NO 4/4 ~ The first 3 letters are a word that goes with neither and then add a vowel to the end. NO 5/10 add another vowel NO 5/10 pluralize the 4/4
ar 6 = ar + singular of are + cross consonent + 1st vowel ar 7 = ar 6 + 2nd vowel
hey ren- how are you?
real good how about u? i haven't seen u in a while
hotdiggitydog i am done! can i offer any help?

hi ren ,have you finished the no's, im stuck on the last no 5/10, i must have tried every variable, and still can't get it , its my last one and its sooooo fusterating
i am so freaking dense..........and i was going to say HJ ((((blushing profusely)))))
it's probably the Church Musician Christmas Vortex, trying to reach me in cyberspace, telling me to practice! beebee used a wooooooord, beebee used a wooooord....
Hi Everyone - struggling with the two er words. Any help? Please.
ren- this year i did alot of gift cards,$, and online shopping, but it's not christmas unless i get the misery of going out to the mall and wal-mart
sscatty - it's like chuck no**** - 1 of the middle consonents you know the kung fu , karate - walker texas ranger dude
the last no5--plural of the last no 4.
Ha**- no one likes a tattle tale lol
Oh - I miss Wal-mart ;(
scatty, think of Filch's cat in the h potter books and leave out one of the middle consonants
er words- mistake and mistakes
hi! any hints on Ys?
er - if you make a mistake it is an er*** then if you make a lot of mistakes - you makes a lot of er****
dianne- i don't see how- it's a crazy crazy place
Hap - I've got to start looking in the other direction. I was thinking of those words but kept looking at the top O - DUH. Thanks for the help.
y 5 think of what you need to make bread
dev- bread is the icon today- it took alot of ye*** to make it all rise
yi 4/6 ends in a doubled letter
take antibiotics and if you are a female you might get a ye*** infection. (5) drop the last consonant to get the first ye (4)
Beebee - over here we don't have one of those stores that has every little thing you need. You have to go from store to store to store - very tiring.
how many Y's are there? I have the ye 5 bread one and a ye 4 opposite of "nos"
dianne - are there no wal marts in hong kong? read your blog bio
got that one, there were two no5's at the end of the no 's i need the very last one before the oo
ye4- a word like yes, but with a vowel and it's plural
there's a yi - yi + double dose of the same consonent -
3 y's
that would be chuck No**** but without one of the middle cons
scatty - is you have the one i gave you - then drop the ending consonent and add the 1st vowel
Scatty, I think you want the plural or the four-letter seaweed.
got the y's! Thanks!
yes = what mab said take the no 4/4 and make it plural
dianne- sorry that you have no wal-mart- that's insane- but, there are plenty of days i wish we didn't have one. go in for 3 things- come out w/300
oh beebee you are so right!
Ren - no Wal-mart in Hong Kong. Believe it or not they have at least 2 in mainland China but I haven't been to either.
We don't have a walmart-i always think of that as a positive aspect of living in a small town!
hj- you'll get one- it's just a matter of time
did anyone see either the anti-walmart or pro-walmart movies?
there are 3 super walmarts w/in 7 miles of me n,e,& W
No - what are the movies about?
No Wal-Marts, but a dozen or more Lorex Watch stores!
pine- i must have missed those, the only wal-mart movie i saw was with n. portman and she had her baby there.
hey torg -

pine- that's cool- does she like it there?
cheers ren, i can have some fireworks now, i'm glad i listened in french now, i was getting so stressed then, you are my angel tonight
scatty - no 4/4 filem no** = no + 4th vowel + consonent ( you know we have a lost of those consonents in this grid)
I went to visit her once...she goes every year for a few months for contract work....it is just like in the movie Whalerider. Beautiful coastline and woods area

be rite back - going to take a picture of my futura skate board for art day
I'm down to my last word...should I ask for a clue or keep monkey typing? Do most people try to find their last word without help?
beebee, what kind of things do you have on your land, i used to have sheep, bullocks, well calves until they were fat enough, they are more fun when they are small, the female calves have to go out to pasture and were always breaking out to my dad stuck with bullocks after that, we also grew corn and had apple orchards
okay...I give up. Can I have a clue for the last re please?
scatty- we are an ag. farm- corn, wheat, soybeans- my husband refuses to have cattle again
pine- to run again- make run past tense
the last re is a very close spelling to a tall lanky bird that pinches fish out of ponds, just change the last vowel to the first vowel, hope that makes sense
thank you Bee Bee and Scatty....I finished! Whew.
wtg- pine
anyone have a clue for the last re 6/18?
i'll be right back- i need to see y i hear cartoon network blasting @11:16 on a monday nite
ack one hour left, and I just got a chance to start this board!
more of re 4/4 before the re 4/6 ..add two letters to the end
beebee, what put him off cattle i was married at 19 and moved away from the farm, i still miss it 25 yrs later, if i had the land i would have a few sheep, the trouble i would have was getting rid of the males, i'd want to keep all of them, the year i left school, i took one of my sock lambs back to school for a visit, freckles was so well behaved, i didn't need to put a lead on her, mind you she did widdle in one of the classrooms
joy- take 2nd re4 +er
Thanks pinecone
I have a question, I am new to this and just upgraded. I have the little stats board, but where does it say (for example) re 4/4?
the words starts with re it is 4 letters long and worth 4 points...all the tiles have points associated with them
way to go pine - !!!!!!!
right, but it just shows the first letter, how do I know what the second letter is? and how long it is?
re is the first two letters of the word you are looking for, the first 4 means there are four letters in the word, and the second 4 means that if you add up the numbers on the letters on the grid, they will add up to 4
ty renfield -- l really liked all the !
in the friends of babble section there is babblers anon...this board has the list of second letters under the general category
scatty- sounds lovely, i want livestock- but he's not interested- so, i just bring things home as i see fit. we went to the mountains and i saw these long hair cows, can't remember the name- i think they come from ireland(?) not sure- i really want one for a pet, but they said it was too hot here- maybe the were called a belted someting i don't know and sure don't know how to spell it, but they were beautiful
ok, but how do I get that list?
click on babblers anon and then click on general to get the list
great, thank you
log onto bab anon - go to general catagory - 1st posting by brandyjack
It's gonna be a good day - I finished ! Thanks for the help :)
if yo go to babblers anon, right click, and ask for another window to come uo, general, left click on that and stat puzzle will come up, scroll down and you will have all the stats, if you keep scrolling you will get to two letter stats, when you first start, it tends to make it easy, but after a while you wont need it as much

GW - You're a genius!! Thankxs!
or do you mean the very last ar5 -- the later actor Sir Richard Har***?
GW, the definition for oo4 - not regular or scheduled; odd
Lshutt - si 5 one is the si4 with the last letter doubled. The other is the same 1st three letters then double the 3rd letter and add a vowel.
