Hey Ren do we have a password or something identifying trolls when they come in. I was surprised you were engaging him...
is a troll something specific, or just someone you don't like
there was a very weird guy on about 11:30...it was not too cool...
as usual.. there are alot of ut5/12 in the chatlog again tonight!! ;))

it was cat and mouse... you were playing with him... :D
sherb...moi????
sounds like a freakydeaky indeed!!
I've been playing since last oct. and haven't se 4 that many of the drop by, usually they get the cold shoulder from everyone and leave....
maybe I'm odd, but I find the occasional troll very interesting... they want to provoke a reaction, and anger just spurs them on... the way ren engaged this guy in conversation stopped him in his tracks...
time for me to get some zzz's -- see you tomorrow :)

Thanks Ren!! love fireworks!!
you started them mrp!!! we all love fireworks!
Ren, I remember finishing my first ever grid and being so excited entering the last word... and... NOTHING... I was expecting fireworks, and nothing!! And so the *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~* began!
i remember that you mentioned there should be fireworks. so then you created them! that was kool.
You remember that?? That is kool! BTW... I have an interesting "odd spot" to share. Only female ducks can quack!
sorry, am reading my odd spots... thought that was... well... interesting?
WOW!! really....WOW!!!
LOL! & the electric chair was invented by a dentist... duh! Everyone know that!!
yes it is very interesting. so all these duck hunters quack and bring in the drakes and not the hens????
drake meat... mmmmmmmm
LOL...i had drake once....tasted like MUD....
I had kangaroo again the other night... addictive!
i don;t think i could so that mrp. i only ate the drake because my brother went hunting and my mother cooked it.
aw Ren... don't get me wrong... it is very much like Venison and not so cute on a plate with potatoes and red wine jus
that's what i was wondering. my brother also brought home a deer and we had venison. i think there is a place here that sells roo burgers or did. i know they sell buffalo burgers
my kids are so thick! and it is all my fault... They will eat ham, pork, veal, sausages, bacon etc... but if I say 'chicken' or 'lamb'... NO!
all the hunters say..aw - it tastes like chicken...rattlesnake...aw it tastes like chicken...of course, i've never eaten rattlesnake so i don;t really know if it tastes like chicken or not.
I was offered snake once... nearly vomited at the thought of it! Chicken my a**! It's a snake!!
LOL!!! i agree mrp...it's a snake....yeck!!
...oh please try my plate of Arachnid Rosti Tapanade?? Get lost! I know a spider when I hear it!!
i think i'm sick....yeck.....i've had chocolate covered ants before....
ren. If I find a bug in my food... I send it back!!
we were young and daring....and it was a sleep over...truth or dare...ok my husband said it's time to go to bed...see you later!
bye Ren!! sleep well

yup still Saturday morning here but not for much longer! 17 words left to find... must finish before 12.00
I see that the volcano and the french for black are back again!
if there was any justice in the world... there would be no** films as a catagory in the acadamy awards!
so true! Can you clue me on the en7/28 MrP?
en7... to go in many times or have multiple entrances... There are many en***** into the disneyland park!!
perfect clue, was looking at the wrong e (of course)!
ask me for more clues!!! on a roll tonight! I think...
is OK, is the ce6&7 a combo? if so a clue to the 6 would be good.
ce6 & 7 ce + ri4 then plural for the 7
well I wouldn't have found that uness by monkey typing. My fac run of words today were the cu's.
yes... the cu's were very pretty!
sorry typing going out the window, that should have been my fav words - but I am sure you knew what I meant LOL
well Fmitch... I usually have a fu** run of words where I have no friggin idea!!
ROFL
Fmitch... have you used my check list yet.. and do you think it is useful?? Asking because I am having a question time
Yes I have MrP and it is very satisfying ticking each word off as you go along.
So glad it is good for you! Thanks for your imput!
hi everyone i'm back :D
Hi wezzie np MrP thank you (&lickety) for developing it, I know from comments in the log that logs of people are enjoying using it.
Hi FMitch
Woohoo... and that's me done. Thanks for you help MrP, have a good evening and see you again soon.
bye fmitch! have a wonderful day!!
Hi Weezie!
weezie... you are related to macadam??
yes i am i'm her grandaughter. And i'm lottie's daughter
lottie/macadam/weezie!! fantastic!!
I think so too :D
lottie and macadam are so wonderful! I was going through the list the other night with my husband... I was 'commenting' on the babble group.... lovely wonderful so sweet friendly modest geniu s gorgeous ... lottie and macadam where among them!!
Good morning everyone. Have to go tool searching. Am not feeling so well this morning, so don't know how long I can stay at the keyboard.
Eva!! what is wrong with your health??
my mum doesn't play on it any more because she's attracted to yahoo games now
AHHHHHH Yahoo games are so addictive!! I reckon mambear has gone to 'the dard side' ha ha ha ;))
Just the same old same old---fibromylagia stuff. Very boring and annoying!
fibromyalgia syndrome - I was diagnosed with this in 2000... told the doctor that I thought his diagnoses was bullsh** and under second opion, found out that I had bone tumours!!! Know what you are experiencing, but my situation is obviously different!
mrp-what is your situation with the tumors now?
Eva... I had 3 operations, radiotherapy, so many drugs and crap I can't even begin to tell you how bad it was!!! My last treatment was July/August 2005 and no symptoms so far!! I am so thrilled that I am pinching myself everyday!!
Thats wonderful mrp! Going through such hell must make each moment of health and freedom from pain such a gift.
Eva... you know it!! I am so pissed at people who complain about 'whatever' ... they should walk a mile in my/our shoes and then have a comment!!
mind you... most people are amazing and understanding... but I found it very disturbing when my friends disappeared during my worst times... (5 years) and my children needed all the support they could get. Of course, my husband and my family took on the 'burden' of my illness... and now we are re-building!
I know. I sometimes look at people with beautifully functioning bodies and think that they really don't know what they have. On the other hand, there is really no way to compare sufferings. Each individual's pain, whether emotional/physical/economic, whatever, is critical for them. I am grateful for the perspective that pain ahs given me - how delicious it is to wake up and feel good. Anyway, I should really give neck and back a break for a while and feed the cat who is doing his "I'm about to expire from starvation" routine (mind you, this if from an animal whose belly grazes the floor as he runs).
morning! I am excited today....will begin building a new website for Firefox....and Babbling, of course!
Hi All can anyone help with the ae6/21 please
hi mari i havent got that one yet!!!
ae6 ae + river in north carolina minus the last letter
MrP could you make that a river in Britain !!!???!!!
ae6/21: ae + not old but **w + abbr for America...
or.... Brassy or golden green in color
any clues first re5/14 please?
SJW - to cut again
Thanks a million I'm going to hone up on my geography!!
thanks mr president!
hang on re + double 3rd letter + 2nd vowel sorry!
Angel... did you see my email!? We reviewed a few things and hope it is ok!
BTW... congrats to Angelsong for becoming a 'friends of babble' ... *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~* Great job!!
:) MrP, I took care of your request just now. thanks for the e mail....
thank you Angel!
no problem at all, MrP. Glad to have the opportunity!
angel... Lickety loves what you have done and he reckons you wanted to be a detective when you were young... but you were too smart!!
a detective? never occurred to me...but I loved Sherlock Holmes.
I so need to sleep! it is midnight here and the kids are still up! What the....??? Goodnight all! See you later.
bye mp!!! hi everyone!!
hi bex :D
Good morning, any clues for se8/40 and so5/12
se8/40 soldiers/guards
sorry dont have either of them!!
how do I get to MrPs ticked off site..LOL
marc I have just finished grid and dont have so5/12 - did you mistype?
Sorry su5/12 I have one, I think the second one and need the first one. Also, you clue for se8 I didn't get. Going around and around the grid and not getting it. Feeling a little thick this morning.
liankate...to the right, click my resource page link. there's a link there to MrP's tick box page under links.
thanks angel..btw, did you ever go to chat rooms on AOL?..your name is familiar!!
marc-do you have the collection of rooms for the su? For the se- add an s at the beginning of you en7/28
se= if u and your friend enter a competion you need 2 e****** plus an s on the start!!!
Eva yes I have the collection of rooms
I dont have the other one either-sorry
lianakate, no, I have never used aol with this s/n.
I don't have the en7 but I will look for it.
just got it - su + the opp of out + what you hit a golf ball from
did you understand my clue, that was for the en
bex, I understand it I just can't find the word. Now I am feeling thick and stupid.
marc-the door to your house in an en___. The plural will give you the en7. Then add an s in the front and you'll have your se.
If I want to get into your house I want go gain en___. Take off the last sometimes vowel and add the plural ending.
marc have u found it?
Marc Freeman en7/28 en+when you reallyt put an effortr into something. Add s to the front for the se8/40
Thanks, Eva I was looking for entrance all along and couldn't figure out how to fit the letters together. Thick, thick, and thick
glad you got it!
thanks bex got and thanks eva got the su as well.
afternoon all :D
hi sherb
hi eve :D ...is that a goose in your icon?
you must be seeing yesterday's icon-which was a duck wrapped in duck/duct tape. Refresh to see today's.
That's a very impressive drill you have there!
ah, I see it now ...the world's most impressive tool !!
and also it's most dangerous!
One should have to get a license to be allowed to operate it.
pe8?
lol... a lot of people would fail the test...
I'm missing that one too angel.
not sure how I'd do. Should probably have to get retested every morning, and if one failed, go back to sleep where one can't do much harm.
pe8 - pl of a pe7, sounds like a shampoo... alternatively, take a writing implement, and add a number
thanks sherb!
Nothing like NOT getting to sleep in on Saturday, goood morning all!!
good morning bunny
hi bunny :D
ok, ginger cake out of oven... now I can concentrate on Babble...
Sounds yummy, my first pot of coffee just finished brewing, it'd go real well with a black cup...
help...the sp7 is making me dizzy....
sp7 - related to previous sp4/6 - strange past tense
Angelsong, didn't know you were in here. I sent you an email, but I clicked on the wrong link, and sent it to Dr. God....he/she is going to think I'm a nut job!
bunny, what do you need?
Howdy all! Angelsong, I feel like a real grown up now. I went to your page and followed the instructions for quick note. I did it! With great trepidation; but, I did it! TY
hi gramma :D
I saw you in the log asking for someone to check out your resource page. I'd looked at it before, but I really went through it. Wanted to let it you know it is AWESOME and easy to navigate for comp idiots like me.
WTG, Gramma!!! that's why I put those instructions there. Glad they helped you!
Hi Sherb...I'm so embarrased...I had yesterdays icon..OOPS..silly old woman..:}
you're looking very distinguished gramma... :D
Isn't he a hottie?
bunny, that is wonderful to know. if anything is unclear, I need to know so I can fix it.
he's certainly got a gleam in his eye...
still can't find that pesky sp7
I've changed..Can you see it?
sp7 - a plan for building is called a sp4/6... double the last letter and past tense it
gramma...yes. Angel, double the last cons on the sp 4/6 and past tense
nice hamma gramma !!
If you put a gun to my head I would have said that wasn't a word.
sherb, you sound like you're about to take off as a rapper or hip hop singer. Sing Gramma Hamma for me...
lol, gramma... I'm no rapper, more a crooner... :D
bunny, I wrote the last section of my page, on updates at two different times; one of them was early in the morning, so I wasn't sure that part was clear. it's easy if you know how, but if not, I didn't want people getting messed up/confused.
Perfectly, wish I were that aware in the morning. I'm amazed I can hit the brew button on the coffee pot.
so gramma....how's your page working for you?
Angelsong, the page is great.....the mind, on the other hand, not so good. I can't see anything today.
Which corner do the ae's come out of, I found the 4/4, but the others are eluding me.
BRB coffee and ciggie calling
the ae5/10 and 6/18 come fromt he upper right, but I haven't found the ae6/21 yet
I mean upper left, of course. Ugh.
vicuna should that be upper left? I don't have that at upper right!
Hehe, if you had seen the puzzled look on my face! Thanks!
ae6/21: ae + not old but **w + a two-letter abbr for America...
Note to self: proofread before hitting [post]
OK, I used that word yesterday as a matter of fact. Thx Angel.
bunny, you're joking, right? (Thanks, angelsong.)
Of course, my vocab consists of words with no more than two syllables!
Ha ha, you used "syllable" and that's got three!
I'm only smart on March 11th, at 8:41 a.m.!!
ok, it's bad enough that et4/4 is an allowable word, even though it's a proper name, but to allow a plural is just silly... how many can there be?
re7/28?
Oh dear, another year's smart moment gone by, and it was wasted on Babble chat-log. Well, maybe *next* year at 8:41 on March 11 you can solve world hunger!
I had that one down, doritios, but no one would listen...
I dunno... I find that doritos are utterly delicious and irresistable... right up until the moment when they're disgusting and I never want to eat another!
I think there is another definition for that et 4 besides the volcano, but I agree with the invisible line that separates Babble words from non-babble words!
OMG! I just went outside for my health break and it's beautiful out there. I cannot in good conscience continue to sit in here. I know this will wreak havoc w/my ranking; but, I have to get outside. C ya all later.......
sherb the et4 and et5 appear here a LOT . . . besides the proper noun, apparently they are also the same as bunsen burners used in labs
Bye Gramma
bye gramma!!!!
Enjoy, Gramma! I'm just waiting for husband to get up before my family joins you int he great outdoors!
enjoy, gramma! that's the gorgeous weather we had here yesterday--today's pretty yucky . . .
later gramma :D hi Unie :D ...thanks for the info...I never knew that... :D
well it is snowing here!!!!
keep it up there, bex... we've got sun here in London... :D
vicuna, i'm looking at your website and enjoying it so much--LOVE the note cards!
I have the se8 and the pe8. what's missing?
Thanks, Unea! I'm glad you like it. Feel free to e-mail me there any time! :)
ne8 - subatomic particle...
ce 2x6 and 7 letters anyone??
ooh, sherb, we match :)
snap hurshy :D ...I love my drill...
Wow Vicuna, very talented! I can only draw stick figures... I love that Eenie Meenie!
me too, it is totally the most fun tool
an 6 letters anyone?????
gave me a whole new enthusiasm for DIY...
Bex, plural the an 5/10 before it
yea i dont have that one either!!!! :)
bunny, stick figures are good, too!
The definition is a cave, an + the first three letter of a plant that grows tall and shades your house
thanks bunny!!!!
I don't have those ce's yet, working on them now!
how about that sa 6?
sa 6 - first four letters begin like Mr. Clus, the add third vowel and cons
darn, there's almost execution
ce 6/21 & 7/32 ce + sounds like opp of wrong, then plural
...and centuries
how about the et? i have the mountain and its plural but cant see the otha one?!!
re7/28?
I don't suppose someone could help me with the sc5/12 and se5/10 not the plural of se4/4 please
plural the re 6/18 before it
how is "petri" not a word? petri dish?
sc 5/12 odor
hurshy- its silly i want to put it in aswell!!
sc5/12 - chanel no 5, or eau de skunk, for example
both se 5/10's build off the se 4/4, both have vowel endings
Thanks for the help but have already got that and the section of opera one, is there another one aswell
bunnyvicious, thank you
Angel, if you don't have the re 6/18, take the re 4/4 and add on what birds live in (**st)
more almosts: preteen, inspection
Both sc 5/12's are the same except for the last letter, one ends in vowel
ne 6?
ne 6, remove danglies from beloved pet
Apologies everyone, I was missing the sc4/6 not the 5/12, thank you for your help though
interesting way of putting it, bunny
thanks!!!!!
Eloquence is under rated.
I have to get ready to resume the house shopping voyage...again.
ooh, fun, bunny
It was at first, now it's just tedious...uggg. It'll be worth it in the end, getting out of this yucky rent house! you guys have a great day, back tomorrow!!
good luck finding the perfect house!

lose the sion
certain, ascertain (why do i love finding almosts?)
there isn't anything using an4 (against) as a prefix, by any chance?
or an4 (before) for that matter?
afternoon babblers!

Hi Evanadine.
aha, it's that 5/14
i dont have time to finish this one, so im resisting even entering a single word...heh
ty macadam. i can get the list, so you needn't resort to that, though, if i'm annoying you :)
as5/14 sounds like request +not them.
yeah, i got it from the points, thanks. :)
nobody ever answered bex's question about et other than mountian...
Thats Ok It makes a change from looking for mine.I`m hoping to see them more easily after this .
et the cute sewing item.

Hurshy that clue is a bit clever for my simple brain can you give me any thing else
norma, they called him that because he was the first to stand e****, and it has a latin ending

there is nothing worse than the look on your beloved dog's face when he realises for the first time just why you left him with the vet... : /
Excellent clues, Lola and Munner -- thank you.
YW. Coming up with a clue was harder than finding the word. When lola mentioned small particle, I remembered having that word in a previous puzzle.
munner, I never remember the words...head like a sieve! I was on the right track but kept trying to put the o on the inside! : )
Small miracle I remembered it. I swear my brain is chemo-damaged :)
Aww! I blame the pregnancy hormones, never got my brain back : / How are you doing now munner, got the all clear yet?
sa 6/18?
Had a body scan this week and will get results from my doctor on the 22nd. I'm expecting good news. I'm just tired of still being so tired. Thanks for asking.

*lola drinks champers instead and hands vicuna babble hot choc with loads of squirty cream and chocolate sprinkles*
Ahhh... now that's what I call friendly!
Congrats, vicuna *~*~*~*~*
PE 7?
sorry -- didn't mean to shout
the clue given earlier was a shampoo brand with an e instead of an a, nan
pe7 - sounds like shampoo brand, with different fist vowel - and thanks! -
pe7, writing implement plus number plus vowel (sounds a bit like a brand of shampoo) : )
nan, there was a good clue about an hour ago, like the brand shampoo only change 'a' to 'e'
Yay! I've just finished : )

Hi Mab, 'bye Sheryl...

Haven't looked at the Rs yet Ruthy : /
re5/14's - there's one with an odd double consonant then vowel, and one that means to slice again
its the 1st re 5/14 i need
evening dear sister
that's the re + double consonant of the right point value + vowel. Yes, it looks strange. It's short for reconnaisance.
To use scissor again. re5/14 Or to try or handle again.
i found it ty for ur clue vicuna
evening sha
you're welcome, ruthy.
thats me finished
mermaid79: looking for another perfect score today?
wtg Ruthy : )
hoping for a clue to tr's please
tr5/10 - he who doesn't succeed tr-- again tr4/4 - three people making music
jeffers...three in a band?
sorry vicuna and anj it's the other two - great clues, tho tr 6/18 and tr7/28 please
Jeffers, just got those... starts with the three word, the chemical ending that sounds like runner, broad, kidney B.... without the B : ) Then plural...
Anj, the greatest! enjoyed the clue - thanks and i'm stuck with ne 8 too, please
thats me finished
ne 8, first four letters as ne 6 then add Las Vegas Gambling/Wedding town, but change the first vowel.
well done sha
y/w jeffer : ) The ne8 keeps to the left of the grid and is a subatomic particle. Think of what goes with a proton and put a hoop on the end : )
wtg Sha : )
Sorry, meant Nevada gambling place
thanks haz1558 - "saw" the word reading your clue thanks anj
would have got that ne/8 from your clue, anj
Glad to help, jeffer.
More clues, more fun : )
Clues, please, for any of the ae words. I only have the ae 4.
ae5 and 6 are where eagles nest.
Thanks, Vicuna. I was in the wrong corner.
need a clue for se 6/18
HEY GUys I just talked to Miya well through e-mail and she's NOT coming back :(
se 6/18 - word for when books or programmes are produced one after the other.
That's a shame : ( Is she OK?
ae6 is apparently a brassy green color, but it is ae + first three letters of where eagles (and other birds) lay eggs
yea she seemed good
Rosalind, we American baseball fans love it if our team, the Atlanta Braves, makes it to the World se----
Thanks haz
That's such bad news, shorty. What did she say?
Shorty - I'm relieved that she's okay. Does she feel sore about what happened?
Thank you too Munner
she says she knows people feel different about her now
Got it, Vicuna. ty
Tell her that some people might, but I certainly don't.
but she says she misses everybody
I know i told her know one was mad at het at all
Hopefully rolin will be able to persuade her to return.
I can understand how she'd feel that way, although I don't feel differently about her.
Last word--need a clue for as 6/24
Munner - another word for view or the way you look at something.
Shorty, wish her good luck from me : ) I'm going to miss her take on life : /
ok I will
Vicuna, that ae6 brass clue has gone over my head : /
Shorty please tell her that she can change her mind and visit again, see what it feels like --- she did nothing wrong. And tell her I miss her.
Anj, you have to add another vowel in the last part.
Cheers munner : )
Ok Mab I will do that
Thanks shorty. (tell her I'll have peachykeen beaten up)
Oops, Anj, that's 'cause I typed it wrong. Sorry. So try this: ae + first three letters of the 8-letter word you so cleverly found first thing + plural letter
OK LOL
Mab, please, no violence!
Thanks, Haz, finally got it.
Shorty, me too. She's still part of the Babble family, even in absentia : ) Hope she comes back one day...
Good - did you have a light bulb moment?
Nope. Brain had gone to rest. I had to go to Reverse Dictionary.
Well, you got there in the end.
what part of new england are you from Vicuna?
Thanks, Haz. Just looked at your profile. My mother was named Hazel, and my husband's middle name is Antrim.
I'm living in a suburb of Boston. I see you're from Ohio, but I don't know where Hilliard is. I grew up outside of Cleveland.
Good gracious! Did his family hail from Northern Ireland?
around the Columbus area
HI, Everyone!!! Did I miss something about Miyavi? Is she okay?
Hello peri - Shorty will be able to fill you in on the news.
ok...just so you all know...my husband is ill...and yikes...i'm forced to do the laundry....oh woe is me...
she says I know that everyone feels differently about us now, so we've decided to leave Babble together. but is missing everybody
her and lemon
Come on, Renfield. You can do it. I hope he isn't too ill. I suppose you hope that as well..
my husband is ill also
thanks haz...i know he bought a new washing machine...i'm about to go to the laundry room and make freinds...
Well, remember, Renfield. If you can work a computer and put an icon up, you can certainly get the measure of a washing machine!
munner think going up for the as word
sorry shorty...mez has his cell phone to page me...so i will be running up and down the stairs today
Shorty - what's wrong with your husband?
same thing I had the other day queasy and feverish but he a big baby when he's sick :O
Shorty- what happened to Miyavi?
read 2:32 post please
I have great news to report!!! I injured my knee in Dec 2005 and was out of work for 7 weeks. During that time I had doctors appts. an x-ray and an MRI. Finally had knee surgery on 1/23. I applied for short term disability the beginning of Jan, 2006, Was turned down the first time but I received a NICE sized check in the mail today. WOO HOO, BTW my knee is just fine. What a relief to have a little extra money to pay my credit card bills and alll of the copays.
Well, hopefully with your tender loving care and heartfelt sympathy he will make a rapid recovery.
woo hoo periwinkle
Shorty, I did read your 2:32 post but don't understand why people feel differently about her. I also miss her and her take on life.
me TLC!!!!!! HA HA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice one peri
need a clue for the first re5/14 please
I kind of got the vibe that you weren't exactly Florence Nightingale there!
ok...black...delicate..cold water...woolite for dark colors...i did it!!!
I Don"t like my husband LOL
YOU DID? THats awesome
Peri - you maybe missed the chat log debacle when one player accused Miyavi of making up LEMONed and trying to fool people on babble.
Renfield - you see, that's why America is great because of folks like you who are willing to take on a challenge!
Good news, Peri! I'm told disability requests are often inititially denied but picked up on appeal. Funnily enough, mine was granted the first go....
rose re 5 = re + double consonant + 2nd vowel
Haz, I did miss the debacle. Debacle is a neat word like conundrum LOL
thanks for the clue
Vicuna - Where outside of Cleveland are you from? I grew up outside of Cleveland also. I live in Texas now.
well folks I gotta run for now I have a house to clean I shall be back later
Bye shorty - thanks for letting us know that Miya is okay -ish.
shudder...clean house....
I'm sorry Periwinkle I did not see your post at 2:41 till now
oh your welcome if she e-mails me again I will let you all know
Haz, America (meanining of course the US) has more of most stuff than other places, especially things that go boom. I think it's considered a rogue nation these days, isn't it?
I think President Bush hasn't had a very good press over here and his policies haven't been very popular overseas.
anyone have a clue for the en7/28 please
Yvo - places where you go in or things you put in your diary.
Congratulations on washing machine rennie. Do you like my tule? (I'm almost too amusing to be tolerated)
Is this your own personal tulle tutu?
He dosen't get very good press over here either.
thanks mab...and i love your tule....mine's a keel hauling tool....
thank you i m sure ive tried that ,but it did not take or misspelled it
No, got it from google.
Do I recall you expressing less than favourable opinions about his skills of oratory?
He's a dangerous blockhead. It is no less than astonishing how out of the realm of normal are his views.
Ren, so what's the power to weight ratio for this washing machine then?? ; )
Ren, I've just now realized your keel hauler does not have his head in a fishbowl.
Well, no need to wonder what you think of him!
I'm sure it's a muscle washer, Anj. Am I right ren?
se8/40 anyone?
LOL anj...since this is my first time to drive it, i haven't read the instructions...so the F= mxa is unknown at this point! i have hear it torquing when a load is out of balance...
Mab it couldn't be anything less : ) Supercharged and delivers best power between 1000 & 2500rpm : D
se 8/40 - soldiers on guard. Or just add en7
periwinkle se8/40 they stand guard
right mab....selecto matcho whacha wanna do o hemi
Volkswagon invented the washing machine according to Spike Milligan. Except the vibration moved it around so much they put wheels on it and named it the Beetle instead : /
thanks, Frances
At that rate one's laundry would end up stuck to the laundry room walls. Thus relieving one of the necessity to unload it. Centrifugal force is a beautiful thing.
Thanks, Haz
periwinkle You're welcome
up to 100 words, time for another break, bbl
Funny, Anj.
anj...that sounds like spike! so i could have actually run out to the highway and waved down a beetle and thrown the laundry in it!
See you later - I've three words to find, then I can enjoy CSI.
mab..that would save on hangers and running the dryer...
Ren, only pre-'70 ovals or splitscreens I believe. ...and no Cal-looks either...your smalls would get roasted on the stingers : D
Bye Haz.
ah...there are 2 pre 70's not far from me...one belongs to an uncle by marriage; however..it is missing it's brakes, i believe he downshifts to stop...or slow down....maybe he doesn;\'t stop and just keeps turning right on red?
That sounds safe to me.
LOL! Mind you, those flat 4s are damn near bombproof so he could slam it in reverse as well : )
Yet another excellent argument for manual /standard transmissions.
LOL anj...he received a ticket for no brake lights,,,he asked the officer why he needed brake lights if he didn't have any brakes....ka-ching...2nd ticket...
Here in New England he'd have to be burned at the stake.
mab - standard transmissions also contribute to a good exercise program..you can imagine uncle's take on that..
Unless he had the proper connections to power, and plenty off cash.
Mab, it's got to be a manual for me. I'd driven autos but it takes the fun out of it. Besides I still have memories of a mechanic friend driving am auto 2.8i Capri over here (think you called them Mercury) revving it to 5000rpm, as he drove it from the customer car park to the garage, forgetting he was in a manual, changing gear and thus ramming it into park at 70kmh. The sound of tortured transmission haunts me to this day : /
LOL mab!!! and here it's "boy (no matter how old you are, what gender, or race)..you got an attitude...i got a problem w/ that."
Anyone help me with the 1st re5/14.....
ewwwweeee anj..that hurts...the sound, the agony..the pain....the expense.....
Must be manual for me too. Control freak. Wow, that's some mechanical genius for a friend you had there -- as if you couldn't feel it.
Talking of the law, they are chaning the fines over here soon. The 'just over the limit' fines will be less severe, the 'pedal to the metal, needle buried in the stops' fines will effectively be '2 and OUT!'
movieman re 5 = re + double consonant + 2nd vowel
Thanx Rennie.....
Ren, he also had the misfortune to do it in front of the Managing Director AND the Owner : )
yw movieman
Watch where you're pointing that chainsaw, movieman. re -- when a judge is familiar with the litigant's family she must re**** herself from the case.
anj - did he retain his position? and who was liable?
I've got 20 of the Rs, but the Ss are playing hard to get... : /
oh, sorry. Wrong word as usual. Sorry Movieman, I'm preternatually useless.
pe**winkle's name is in the grid today
Ren, yes, and the garage picked up the service tab. The box was undamaged! Mind you, that garage was all mouth and no trousers. He was on work experience and explained a lot of the tricks they use... Consequently I became VERY good at servicing my own car : / ...which was a Capri at that time : )
greetings--jumping on here to do more grid work.
anj - nothing like the voice of experience..it certainly helps having a wrench for a friend, you learn all the tricks of the trade!
pbr!!!!
Hi pbr : )
anj - mab purchased a muscle car calender.
I am on the r's......
Can't go wrong with one of those : )
pbr - mental picture of your lighthouse on the rocks when you said you were on the r's
T'was 99 cents and the alternatives were 'inspirational' (Christian style) or one bunch of flowers arranged 12 ways. I think you'd like this one: 67 dodge charger, 69 camaro indy pace car, 71 barracuda hemi, etc. I have no idea what those terms mean. Hemi? what is hemi?
clarifcation: Jews don't really do 'inspirational'
mab - hemi comes from the hemispherical shape used in building the engine. it creates more combustion - thus more power - not real technical, but the way i understand it
Yup, that's about it : ) Increased power without increased compression. The only downside is that they don't like high revs (8000rpm plus) as the inlet/outlet valve timings overlap and the cylinder loses pressure : )
Yeah, ren, but you can't beat the slant 9 for durability. or is it 8. 8 makes more sense.
has anyone a clue for the tr6/18 and tr7/28 please
hello boys and girls of babbleland...
mab...a hemi is insprational!!!! 8)
6, i think. slant 6. dodge dart.
Done with the r's -- on to the s's!!
t-owl - so good to see you today!!!!
hi Templeowl welcome
Mo, t3 three start, then 'sounds like runner/baked b...' at the emd. Plural for the 7 : )
Hi T-Owl : )
Well then. Long live the hemi.
Mab, a straight 6 is meant to be the most evenly balanced config I think, but I still want a v8 or v12 at some stage : ) ...or a v16 quad-turbo Bugatti Veryon } )
Anj thank you for those wonderful clues

hi, helen
re6 if you have the re5 before it miss off the last letter and add a vowel and a consonant
peri - what's wrong with your knee? if you don't mind my asking
Mo - how about re 7/28?
helen, the meniscus in my left knee was torn in two places and I had to have surgery. I was out of work for almost two months. applied for short term disability and was turned down the first time but it was finally approved and I received a check today.
re7 ...crystallised compound...the plural of re6/18
darn it--- i missed a "n" somewhere --just one left.
wow 2 months! i'm rehabing my hip now, but my physical therapist & others tell me that knees are much. much more difficult - best of luck - it's great you get more time off!
found it -- I am done!!!!!!! phew. My grandson was even over to day--we had a good time. I forget how much my home is not childproof!
Thank you, Mo. My eyes are getting tired!
helen, I went back to work on 2/1. I do an awful lot of walking up and down a very long hallway at work. I did learn one thing from this and it is not to rush or run in the hall. If the phone is ringing and I cannot get there in time, they will call back. I have learned how to pace myself a little better.

hi cyber!! congrats!!!
hi c'nan - congrats!!!! Glad it went the way you wanted!!!!
wow nan, that's great!
sc6/21 and the sc5/12 that isn't perfume?
Hi EB. Now why didn't that he5 jump out at me? Looks easy now.
Change the last consonant to a vowel, then pluralize.
Jee - someone put a spell on it so you couldn't see it! 8 )
sc 5 & 6: change the last letter of the perfume to a vowel and pluralize
Eva - if there is an accident and you leave, but then you returnA to the SC*** of the accidentA.
ae 6/21 and ae 4/4?
re's are not my friend.
That must've been it! A spell...why didn't I think of that before?
Nan, the ae6 kind of sounds like your rectum.
duh -- found the ae 4/4
For the ae4, add a preposition.
Thanks guys! This is living proof of ask and ye shall receive.
and the ae 6/21, so I'm finished!!!! yay!
I want to win the lottery? Will I receive, even if I don't play?
Mamabear-I second your sentiments about R's. Nasty rotten things!

the tr 6/7 combo?? (I'm guessing its a combo) please & thanks!
pe 8: plural of the pe 7 -- think of a popular shampoo brand and change the a to an e
the first re 5/14?
Mama is it the one that redo to your hair once in awhile?
ae 6 is hard to clue -- means bold brassy green colour and starts with a in lower right hand corner - ends with you and me
never mind. monkey got it.
re + (make an incision)
*passes banana to mama's monkey to keep 'im happy*
re 5/14 - re + (make an incision)
sp7/44&sp5/14?
eva - if something has little tiny dots on it, it is sp***** and they are sp***
thank you cyber
the sp 5 is also something you might call your eyeglasses (nickname)
sp 7 - past tense of the 4 before it -- made estimate of costs.

Thank you nan. I got it!
sp 5/14 - plural of the sp4
*confesses* I was trying to bribe him to help me!!
Thanks cyber & mama! Had the singular but not the plural and had no idea it could be a verb.
Should we all have a banana for our tool?
me neither, eva
Does anyone have a clue for sc 6/21? Thanks.
the joys of babble, eva!!!!!!!
I think eva should win the award for most original "tool" design -- great idea!
The last sc 6/21. Sorry
sc 6/21 - plural of the 5 before it.
thanks cyber....mine needs oiling and recalibrating.
Of course! Why didn't I see that! Thank you.
I meant sc 6/24 but I got it from your clue. TY
Bye for now -- back at the flip!

Bye Cyber - Thanks for your help.
re7/36 anyone?
Never mind, just needed to ask.
bye c'nan!!!!!
I'm missing the re7/28 and the re5/10 right after it. Also, can't for the life of me see the ut?
not so fast, jee whiz!!!! re 7/36?????
Mama, just think if your poor bear was stuck in the cold, you would need to re7 it....It just jumped right out at me after I asked.
re7/36 is th eplural of the 6 before it. The animal re____league.
how come they are so obvious once you know where they are??????????????????????????? ? thanks
Eva, re + word for adolescent misspelled
eva women have ut5/12, men don't.
also need the re6/21 second from the end of the re's.
Eva, add a t right in the middle of the one after it
duh, harp! How could I have missed that one!
eva i resorted to a2z for that one.
harp - how was the skiing???
Jee you are my savioress tonight!
I give up, does anyone have a clue for the last su 4/5?
Eva, glad I could help
Dress up in a business su**
kraj - formal business attire is usually a su _ _ & tie for men
re's finally done........ thanks for the help..... on to the pe's.... hope those are better
na4 pl
EB, It was wonderful. Mostly I read and caught up on my sleep. My husband wore himself our skiing. So now I'm ready to face a new week and he's exhausted!
Okay guys- down to the wire! I am missing just one word and it's the re5/10 right after the re7/28.
Eva, check your shoes.
harp - sounds like you did it right! hopefully he can rest a little tomorrow & then be ready to tackle monday!!
I got that su 4/5, there is one more after that one. Maybe I am just tired?? Thanks.
pe7/32 and 8/45? Anyone?
kraj - there is a 5 & 2 6's after that - not another 4
pe 8/45 sounds like the popular shampoo that begins with pa
pe's done... that wasn't TOO bad!!!!!!
Jee-can't believe I had the plural and not the singular of that!!!Anyway, I'm done. Although I can hardly say that "I" completed the grid-as the last haul was definetly a gift from the group. Is it Blanche Dubois in Streetcar Named Desire who says something about always depending on the kindness of strangers?
I am following Mr. P's checklist and he has four su 4/5's. Sorry, but thank you.
Eva, that is a reverse fish...way to go!
thanks!
Do you have the bird food su**?
Does it ever seem to others out there that life consists of the small spaces between feeding cats and filling stoves? And why is it, that after 10 years of being fed every morning and evening, the cat is so incredibly anxious about whether it will ever happen again?!
Jee Whiz - I don't have that su 4/5. A bird food? I don't see it. Can you give me another hint? Thank you.
The ending sounds like you "consumed" your food.
MAMA!!!!! Can you help me with the first re5/12 and 6/24?
LOL Eva!!!!!!! Your icon is working too hard!!!!
na 7/32?
Mama, add that smelly word to na....did you see my request for help? My plea?
I would also accept hints from others, but Mama did say she was finished with the re's.
sorry.... I didn't until now. the first re 5 - re** (if you total your car) + 3rd vowel re 6 - same first 4 letters plus you and me
I still don't see it! I am sorry! The last su 4/5 before the su 5/12 is a bird food?
an 6/18?
krajc - think of the abbreviation or nick name for Susan and add a cross consonant
Kraj....add the alien movie initials...He was so cute, and he rode a bike past the moon.
na 4 pl
thanks for the smelly clue, jee!
You are welcome and thanks for the re clues...I am glad we are talking again...Ha
I have that su 4/5 - it is the su 4/5 after the su 4/5 word for business attire.
when were we not talking, jee?
Just joking Mama...I thought you were too busy to answer my pleas....
krajc - the business attire 4/5 is the last 4/5 on the list I think
I have the first three su 4/5's and according to my list there is one more. I am sorry to be a pest!
Kraj...you might try using Babbler's Anonymous for your lists...It is in the right order, and will help us give you better clues....
never too busy..... just don't always see it right away due to the hunting!!!!
kraj - maybe they're in the wrong order?? here's BJ's list of su's su 7/ 36 su 4/ 5 su 4/ 5 su 4/ 5 su 5/ 12 su 4/ 5 su 5/ 12 su 6/ 21 su 6/ 21
I know...it is so hard to keep up looking and looking and babbling and babbling.
the other 2 su's are the abbreviation for Susan with 2 different cons's at the end
MB, did you get the na 7? It's na plus the aroma word.
94 bottles of beer on the wall...94 bottles of beer....
good idea EB!!!!!!! *applause*
Pass em around...One for all of us adults
yes, mab, thank you!!! if one of those bottles should happen to fall, 93 bottles of beer on the wall.....
Or three
give or take!
I'll catch it...get out of the way
Kraj, did you find it?
mama - that's how many I have left... mab - wanted to say 'thanks' for sticking up for Miya the other day...I wasn't on at the time - didn't know what happened until the next day (when I read the previous grid - I joined about an hour after it all & didn't know that had happened).... I sent her an email & rec'd a reply back...she's grateful for the support!!
Eastern Blue, tell her to come back...She is so bright and energetic...Adds a lot to the Babble.
Jee - I'm hoping she does...but she may want some 'time'....I'm not going to pressure her...just offered her my support....
oh, I see, EB!!!!! LOL...... was just anxious about waiting for one to fall so I could drink the bugger!
Too late Mama, I caught it already. Let's do it again!
oh thanks EB. She's a marvelous girl who I think feels abandonned by a lot of adults.
93 bottles of beer on the wall, 93 bottles of beer.... if one of those bottles should happen to fall....... *you're on Jee*
Sorry took so long to answer. I was checking the Stats list and it is the third su 4/5 that I am missing
92 bottles of beer on the wall, 92 bottles of beer....hmmm....hmmmm...hmmmmm
Add an r or an s to the end
91 bottle of beers on the wall.........pass one this way!!
if you speak to her again would you please add my support in. Though I don't 'know"her, I was saddened by what happened. Also, it seemed to me that the person who "accused"her suddenly, and set the whole things spiraling out of control, was someone whom I have never seen on the list before or since. How could someone have so much power without our having any idea of who they were?
the first 3 su 4/5's all have the same first 3 letters with different con's at the end
That was me humming. I am not that great of a singer.
I don't think I'm going to finish this. I don't have the will. I think I need electo shock therapy -- I'm shot.
*hiccup* drinkin' all those tobbtles forebe tyhe afll mkaes it hrad to *hiccup*
my last word--in7--help, please?
and the third su4/5 is the bird food one - another word for fat or lard.
Eastern Blue, have another. It will help your speech.
uh-oh steady there, EB......... you can DO it mab........ we'll do it together - I still need a whole butt load of words too.
unea-baby doctors.
eva & mab - I certainly will.... I know that rolin (another player) is her teacher & printed off parts of the log where people offered her their support - it meant a lot to her....
love your icon, Une!!! There aren't enough ballerina doggies in the world, I say!
Okay! I haven't been drinking!! I am missing one of three that have the same first three letters! Thanks for your help!
thanks, mamabear--couldn't wait till tomorrow! :)
mab - me too!! I'll be here for awhile & sill have 93 more to find...
what's tomorrow's theme?
thanks, eva--how did i miss that??!!
ballet
kraj - 1 -a person who uses the lawyer to do this 2 - what the person does to the other while using the lawyer 3 - the bird food (su + the cute alien movie)
because you're bleary eyed like the rest of us?
Yes, Eva. Isn't it strange? I'd like to strangle peachykeen. What was that? Of course then there was the the reaction and lack of reactions to what pk said. And that if should happen to a young girl is just outrageous.
I FINALLY FOUND IT!! Thank you everyone!
oops, sorry, ballet's Monday--tomorrow's "your birthday symbol" . . .
and I work in the legal field!
Good morning all :)
Sun (12th) = birthday sign (astrology) Mon 13th = ballet
Hi Dianne!!
Oh, I guess I could use my tulle again.
Hi EB !
hi dianne!!!!
I thought that PK was really Hurshy just proving it could be done.
My birth sign was Dead End.
Hi Mama - how are you and yours?
not too bad, dianne, and yours?
We are all good. Nice sunny Sunday morning here :)
At the risk of someting... hurshy doesn't have a malevolent bone in her body. She is more brilliant that even she knows and follows her mind's workings where the will go. She is simply herself, which may be a bit prickly at times.
I am not judging and don't want to be involved in all of that. I just want us to have a fun time.
Any one have a clue for the re5/14 - I have the one about using the scissors again.
re + double cons + 2nd vowel
None of us, except maybe Eastern Blue who is precious, is liked by everybody. G-d knows I'm fairly widely disliked. Life happens.
Yes, peachykeen is whom I was thinking of. I was sorry that I didn't tune in until very late that night, and by that time the dust was settling, because I would have wanted to intervene at the time and have us all refuse to be mobilized around such an accusation. That was much creepier than anything else!
Oh-seem to have jumped the gun with ballet. There were so many wonderful memories to choose from but I finally went with Judith Jamison in the Alviin Ailey, dancing in Revelations. Possibly the single most joyful dance I have ever seen. Didn't we just do our atrological symbols recently?
as5/14?
Mama - I had no idea that was a word. I've been searching and searching for that. Thanks so much :)
It would have been most useful to have you there at that time Eva. It was freaky.
:) hi jee whiz, nice to meet you
as5/14 - as + word for swearing - drop last letter.
Hi Hurshy...glad to see you....
(((((hurshy)))))))
((((mab))))
hi hurshy! you're welcome, Dianne. I didn't either... but my monkey did! god bless the little beast!
jee- if we were encouraging you to query the group we might say "ask u_"! An alternate spelling is your word.
LIke my tulle, hursh?
Thanks Eva...that got it for me....
love the floating tutu mab!
My wit is, is, is..... weak, really.
yes mab, it's lovely
Diane, Thanks for your help also..for some reason, I was stuck on the swear word.
mab - you're sweet, but I'm sure (rather I KNOW!!) I have my moments ((HUG))
any clues for the second ce6/21 and the last CU5/14 ?
Jee - glad you got it anyway.
Hurshy, It's me...formerly JW...didn't you recognize me?
hursh- there we go again - same idea...yours is perhaps, a bit more modern than mine! : )
Hi Angel!!
rerererererererere
JW? hmm...
cu5/14 - your dancing and a guy taps your beau on the shoulder and say "do you mind it I cu* **".
i know GW... but don't recall JW...
I think we have chatted before, but if you don't remember me in my past, that's okay.
hi EB!!!
I used to have a cardinal icon or one of the characters from the Peanuts cartoons. I am lazy and don't change my icon very often. I also don't chat much. Usually.
mama - now I'm stuck in re H%&# *entices mama's monkey away with a bunch of bananas to help me* tee hee hee
a comment: in retrospect, i feel silly for letting peachykeen spiral things out of control that way - but i think if it had just been peachykeen, i wouldn't have taken it as seriously - it was the fact that lola was so convinced miya was pulling a prank that made me wonder.
JW, it *is* hard to remember everyone one chats with on here...
Not a problem
*mamabear hands over her monkey to EB..... but only for a while now... the a's are at hand....*
I have the errant cu5. my last word is the second ce6...clues, please?
certainly is interesting to see what people think of me though :)
I didn't mean to bring up old wounds...just wanted to convey that Miya was grateful to those who supported her... as they say on American Idol (tho' I don't watch it...) EB out (at least on that topic...)
ce + opposite of wrong
Done!
Just for sake of clarity, it was not you at all EB. Now can we cease speaking unkindly of those we think are not present?
ooo! congrats Angel...
well that was a trip!!! groceries are purchased and put away....
i really hope miya comes back. and now, can someone tell me whether "birth symbol" is something specific, or what? earlier i was told that it could be birth stones, signs of zodiac, or whatever, but it seemed like nobody really knew...
what did you buy us, rennie?????
Well done Angel and Ren. I fainted yesterday in the supermarket.
oh! rennie - I'm jealous... I did 6 loads of laundry today - but no groceries!! (my meeting was quick earlier too...phew!!)
seriously, mab? why?
cheetos, cheetos,,,cherry vanilla ice cream, grapes, necterines,...cheetos...
oh - mab, I hope you didn't hurt yourself..... hursh - I immediately thought of my astrological sign, but that's what Leo's do!! 8 )
Take one down and pass it around....
I'm sure you can be completely interpretive with the birth sign motif, hurshy. Like my tulle. (she again adds lamely)
cheetos on sale, ren???? LOL mab..... how awful ... are you ok?
*sneaks some grapes from rennies fridge* for the monkeys!!
mab - you fainted? eb...i had to make friends w/ the washing machine today...
it makes me really sad to see how vulnerable kids are on the internet - this is the first such incident i've witnessed
rennie- laundromat for me... *sigh* I long for a house...and a washer/dryer...maybe this year....
EB - if you give them too many grapes, they are staying at your house overnite.... grapes give them gas.
mab - do you love tulle, or just really pleased with your pun? :)
Did you buy any chocolate?
I as well, Helen.
mab - I think most ballerina's view the tutu as a tool of their trade...I think it's very clever!
but eb, don't you get it - tulle, tool
ooo... I didn't even get that... DOH!! tulle...to ol *hangs head in shame*
mab - I love your "tulle"........ unique and creative!!!!
i'm sorry, i know we're supposed to stop talking about this, but i am dying of curiosity - JW, why would you think i was peachykeen?
I was going for tulle = tool, but maybe I mispronounce the former.
*sends monkey back to mama* oops!! the grape ape escape!!
no, no mispronunciation, great pun
jeewhiz....no...no chocolate....sorry...
Hurshy, I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings, and I just figured you were trying to show that you could log on as someone else. Was I wrong?
no mab - you're just too clever! (HUG) I saw it & thought "tutu"... *sigh*
yep, i would like to add one thing - from a truly impartial obsever - and that is about inappropriate disclosure. we're so used to everyone talking about everything, that when miya said she had bad news about lemon, somebody encouraged her to go ahead & tell - i believe that was very wrong - it simply was not her news to tell
mab - I love puns but will admit that this one took me way too long to get :) Your good - I'm slow on the draw.
you can keep the monkey if you need him EB.... just warning you of the "feeding him grapes consequences" LOL
you didn't hurt my feelings, i am not easily offended at all. i have no interest in proving one could log on as two people. but i didn't think the things i said in the log would have led anyone to think i WOULD have an interest in doing so.
mama - he ate a whole bunch... he's all yours!! 00 \_/
another good point, helen.
*dives back into the grid*
I came up with that one on my own, and am sorry to have suggested it....Peachy Keen just seemed like someone who knew what was going on, and I assumed it was a regular who was involved in that discussion. I won't bring it up again.
also - i congratulate the person who said, (and i don't remember who it was, it was the other day), that one real-life friend is worth 100 internet friends - i think that both those kids should be encouraged to discuss this with real, live people - we, here, simply are no substitute, esp. when dealing with something as serious as a possibly terminal illness
No, Dianne, I honestly am a virtual unintelligent person - and that's the truth. But Helen, Miya has a long history here and felt safe. She also is typically protected when something dodgy comes up, although she's innately strong, just young.
there - now i've put in my 2 cents and i feel much better
We are just like family....sniff, sniff....Let's all hug and be friends....:)
I'm done - anyone need any clues before I tackle the house work?
((((((((((((((((HUG))))))))))) )))))))))
THANKS EB *mamabear puts on a portable electric fan blowing directly on monkey's butt* .... too late.
Helen, it was hurshy who said that.
also, just so you know, JW, peachykeen had made similar suggestions 2 or 3 days before, and at that point i thought it was ridiculous and laughed at pk for being overly suspicious. pk then logged in under the name conspiracytheory to prove the point. if you had seen that day's log, i think you would not have thought it was me. oh, and it was me who said the thing helen liked about one real life person, although i was speaking of evidentiary value at the time :)
I wasn't around for the orignial chat and didn't read back all of the way.
Dianne - just realized you are on the other side of the world... my cousin lives in Hong Kong too....
mama - they were the non-gassy grapes... I think....
*joins group hug*
EB - have you ever been here?
that monkey asked for cheetos as well,,,,8)
good night everyone. "see" you tomorrow.
Di - nope....he comes back to the states several times a year....I usually see him about 1 x per year....
nite eva...
an6?
G'night Eva.... sweet dreams!!
Thanks!
EB - you need to get him to invite you over :)
an 6 is pl of prev an 5/10
mab - see i'm new here & don't know the history, but i think this incident clearly shows that no one is ever safe & it's impossible to completely protect people, no matter how good the intentions are - a hard, but valuable lesson to learn
good nite eva!!!!! sleep well....
I love your brain Eva, it's like a sculpture I once made. Bye. A demain.
Hurshy, guess I need help on that as well please...thanks.
and hurshy, i like the way you think - that was a profound statement
Di - he'd have to pay for the trip... : ) It's hard enough for me to see my sisters spread across the U.S. as we are... ah, to be independently wealthy & traverse the globe as I please....
an 5/10 - hmm... picnic ruiner plus do ** mi fa sol...
EB - I know what you mean - I keep waiting to win the lottery:)
Thanks, I had monkeyed the correct letters, but in the wrong order...
Yes, it's been a learning experience for me, even though I know on some level that's true, I forget it. And I'm virtually oldish.
ah, one more thing & i promise it's the last one. unlike the game site i usually play on, this site does not let you know who is logged on, anonymity, so i suspect miya & lemon have probably already visited several times to see what is being said about them - i know i would have when i was 14, lol, that's fer sure!!!
Gotta go and get some work done. See you all later.
dr_god has been working on creating such a feature for ages...
lol mab
Bye Di...happy houseworking!! see you later!! ((HUG))
but if miya can be convinced to return, i think we will all be even more protective of her in the future
dr_god should borrow from iwin.com or games.com -- does a single person run this site?
i think he does run it by himself... is that sort of thing borrow-able?
k, i give up, i need help with my last 2 ---- an5/10 & an6/18 -- the last two an's
lol hurshy, uh, most probably not, lol
goodness knows, I'm never a silent lurker... that's why I still have 80 + words to find!! LOL!!
is rennie in the house?
helen - just gave JW clue for that at 9:09
maybe barterable, for a pretty penny
evanonut - she was a few moments ago...
thx hurshy - i can only focus on one thing at a time, lol
i leave myself logged in all the time, even when i'm not here, just bc i use firefox, so no cookies, so if i close the window, i don't come back automatically logged in when i open a new one, and i am lazy and don't like to re-enter my password...so if we had a feature like that people would think i was lurking an awful lot
sorry....nut...i was washing my hands...too many cheetos....
thanks!!!! all done!!! anyone need anything before i sign off?
Nut! Lovely to see you.
hi nut!!!!!
me too hurshy...i just close the window...
((((helen))))
by all means, wash those hands...you're so cheesy
like i said mama, thought i should plug a few in
woo hoo helen!!! have a good night!
hurshy - after iwin.com bought out playsite.com, they no longer allow you to do that, used to be able to set 'stepped away' & remain logged in, now they just sever your connection (those meanies)
oh, mab's here too, with such an interesting icon.
yup nut - i'm a cheesy character all right!!!
I see!!!!! 25 bottles of beer on the wall.... 25 bottles of beer......
Way to go Mama! It's a wonder you can see straight!
cheese, now there is a craving food.
i don't use a lot of different sites - who knew things were so complicated?
evanonut...I didn't get it tulle = tool it was waaay too clever for me!! 8 )
I want some cheesy poofs!
Night Helen.
Jee - I think she really has 52 but is too drunk to notice!!!
JW???/ Is that you JW?????
nite hele!!!
EXCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE ME????????
my husband jumping & screaming for joy... his team just won the Big East champ. game....
lol
eb, not only would i not get it, i could never have come up with it. but, if i was pro, i think i'd have needle nose pliers for my tool.
k, everyone have a great evening - bye
ok...now on to the gob stoppers....
EB - oh, I thought he was just excited that you were holding his tool. (you know, in your icon, his screwdriver.....)
mama, did i offend you in any way?
LOL nut!!!!
who here is planning to fill out a march madness bracket?
* sharp intake of breath *
hey hey hey! i see queasy board is down : (
Mama!!! *in a shocked & appalled voice*
not me hursh, i friggin hate basketball.
nut - it 'twas me accusing mama of imbibing too much...
am i in a time warp????????
if you did, nut, I missed it!!!!
It's me MAMA!!!
You see? I'm quite stupid. What's going on now?
i just pick winners based on how pretty the name of the school is... except i try not to be ridiculous and pick a 16 seed to beat a 1 seed...
OH - * in an enlightened tone, tosses out the i'm sorry card *
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone...........
Could I get a clue for ce 6/21 & 7/32?
mab - low-brow humor - you're better off not following
i can see all obstacles in my wayyyyy
well ren, your movie preference could easily toss you into a time warp.
Raindrops keep falling on your head, Mama?
rennie - why?? mab - I was just cluing nut into your icon (cuz it didn't dawn on me how clever it was...)
i'm seeeeeeeeeeeeeinging in the rain.
ce6 - add sounds like opp of wrong
Gone are the dark skiiiies that had me blind.....
Hi T-Owl.... my! the messages are going fast & furious!!
what a gloooooooooorious feeeeeeeeeling i'm haaaaaappy again * horribly out of tune *
what's queasy board?
Somewhere over the rainbow, are our words.....hmmmm..hmmmmm..hhmmm m...
it's gonna be a bright (bright) bright sun shining(?) day
ty hurshy!
i think it's sunshiny, ren
you are my sunshine, my only sunshine...you make me happy when skies are gray...
but then again, i often misconstrue song lyrics
mab and rennie will tap dance to singing in the rain...and splash nut....
you'll never know dear.... how much I love you.......
don't know why....there are clouds up in the sky, stormy weather....
hey! you kids... keep the racket down in here! Some of us are puzzled!
Sunshinnne, on my shoulder makes me bummmppppyyyy...
thanks hurshy... 8)
argh - i got muddy water in my eye.
ooo...I love thinking of songs with themes.... appears to be weather related.... *in best Kermit voice* why are there so many, songs about rainbows & what's on the other side.... rainbows are visions, but only illusions...and rainbows have nothing to hide...
you make me happy, when skies are gay
lol nut...my tap shoes are wet and creaky now....
speaking of misconstruing lyrics - when i was in jr high, my best friend was fairly innocent, and was upset at a school dance that the song "i wanna sex you up" was being played. *i*, however, was so much MORE innocent, that i consoled her by saying, "they can't really be talking about sex or they wouldn't be allowed to play it on the radio!"
*links arms with ren, tosses umbrella, and skips down the street*
excuse me while i kiss this guy...uh...sky
still 80 + words... *jumps back into the grid whilst humming the Kermit/rainbow song..."
hurshy! Sorry nut, I don't really know how to tap dance.
by graduation, we were the only two kids who hadn't tried pot... (ironically, also the only two who had NOT been in the "just say no" club in elementary school)
mab - i do believe you should do ballet instead. ren - what guy? sky? is his name sky? does hubby know about him?
*enthusiastically joining chorus of weather songs* - "I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?"... Hi all!
ooooh hurshy, i still have never seen pot live and in person.
may i have a little help please? I have ce7; in7;re7; se7;su7; and tr7 - i'm missing 5...
hey hazzard
it ain't gonna rain no more, no more, it ain't gonna rain no more...how in the heck can i wash my neck if it ain't gonna rain no more?
yikes! looks like a scientific formula, TO!!!!
get out, nut!
hi haz!
i guess i haven't either, nut, although i've *smelled* it live, in my freshman dorm in college. i walked in and said, "what's that funny smell?" and they all looked at me like i was crazy.
owl en7 - lots of places to go in
aw come on , nut!
ironically mab, no one ever believes me. i am a total drug virgin.
Hi Hazzard!! I've never tried pot...I've never even tried a regular cigarette...(or pipe or cigar...) I can't stand the smoke - makes me woozy... I am a [ ]
na7 na + sc5
me too nut! i've never even had alcohol, except for dipping my wafer in the communion wine.
I need help with the two se5/10s before the se8/40. Any clues appreciated...thanks...
yes, we walked past the smell once, i thought someone had bad b.o., then my husband enlightened me.
I am in the same club, EB & nut!!!!! I've never had a cup of coffee either......
Lively group tonight!! Is it as Spring-y elsewhere as it is here in Ottawa (plus 10C today!)
pe7 ink biro + the number 10 + 2nd vowel, then plural it for the pe8
wow, nut - finally someone who might be able to compete with me at "i never..."
can't say that hursh, i do have a certain appreciation for fermented food...er...alcohol.
80F here...hot hot hot!!!
this is amazing, i've never had coffee either!!!!!
Ironically, it is raining like crazy here!!!!!!
sp7 - past tense the sp4 (remember to double the c)
I've only had alcohol...no other drugs. I went to a Billy Joel concert - asked the people next to me to put out their 'cigarette'...my college roommates later told me it was pot. I am a [ ]
Jeez, I've seen almost everything - in person.
never had coffee on purpose.
i didn't know anyone else in the world had never had coffee :) :) :) this is so cool
yes, alcohol .... yes......
i've never had a pepsi!!!
mab - it's you and me kid.....
hurshy--another case of misconstrued lyrics -- when my younger daughter was in probably 6th grade or so we were riding in the car and "Sittin' by the Dock of the Bay" was playing and she said, "How can they play that on the radio? It's not very nice." It was the part, "sittin' here restin' my bones" but she thought they said another "b" word referring to, well, you know! And we make sure she doesn't forget it! Ah, kids!
accidentally once, spit it out. awful stuff...coffee.
Me too, nut!!! I tried a sip twice..... yuckola!!!!
coffee - nope... can't stand the smell of coffee either... I try to stay away from caffeine... This is how much I "talk" w/o it...can you imagine me WITH caffeine???? LOL!!
i grew up on boiled coffee....
mom... hmmm... i'm still innocent enough that i can't figure out what your daughter thought...
now i do soda, weekends only though. stick with water through the week.
i LOVE water!
great clues, thanks! got every one so far!
Me too ren. But mine was called refried coffee.
ME TOO, NUT!!!!!!
i wake up to diet coke.....and oatmeal,,,
what other clues do you need??
boiled coffee... that just sounds gross to me. lol.
is that brad pitt, mrpres?
LOL mab!!
I need help with the two se5/10s before the se8/40. Any clues appreciated...thanks...I am trying to get you back on task...I have never tried drugs either...what a nice group of people in here.
i love water too, which brings me back to...r-a-i-n- i feel it on my fingertips, wash away la la la la.
thanks mrp....... back to hunting. need 25 still......
hi mom... T-Owl...I only have the su 7 - think of the su _ _ _ ___ cups that stick to the walls
yes hurshy! The biggest tool I know of!!
Ok, to be completely truthful, I've never, outside of a hospital setting, mainlined heroine.
well i am still missing one 7...after that, i'll check the board then i guess i'll have to scroll back - i still need too many to ask for clues : (
JW - each is the se4 preceding them, plus a vowel
okay mab, you've got me confused on that one.
rogue - it's how my grandmother made coffee..she wanted me to be awake for school.
se5's take the se4 before it and add 2nd vowel and then do that again with the 3rd vowel
lol mab mrpres - i loved him in ocean's 11 and 12, and in his guest appearance on friends - did not so much love his desertion of his wife...
still at 80 + *really jumps back into the grid this time* Hi to Mr P, rogue...any others who joined that I may have missed... mab - ROFL!!!
thanks for the su***** clue EB-- smacked self in forehead and can't remove hand!
mom...er is that a fish on your forehead?
heroines a big one out here lately.
That's cool I guess. It was just the thought of my coffee being boiled that made me wanna lose my dinner lol.
Thanks Mrpres and Hurshy...that does it for me...see you tomorrow...:)
it's always in the paper, overdose, death, etc.
I agree hurshy ... and that is why he is my 'tool' of the day...
ahem...sorry but i can't help it... heroine = female hero heroin = dangerous drug
so sorry hursh, shall we stamp "dork" on my forehead?
not unless we stamp "interfering prick" on mine
bye Jee!!!
hurshy is pedantic, hurshy is pedantic!! (KISS)
no self flagellation allowed hursh
you started it nut
hurshy, I happend to mean what I said - I've never mainlined George Eliot. Ha ha ha ahh....
the re's have been slain!! and....I've only got 79 to find *back into the grid*
well, actually, i said shall "we", which would imply a group activity. would it not?
lol mab it would nut, but you would still be part of it
LOL nut...
but mab, you've said nothing of Scarlet O'Hara....
and *i* said we as well
I started the mispelling, that's my very own. Mrpres knows a big word, mrpres knows a big word, etc.
nope hursh, my participation would involve allowing you to stamp me without kicking as3/3
FRankly, EB, who gives a damn????? LOL
lol nut
you guys crack me up!!
*whispers to mama* I'm not paying attention to the log...I'm trying to find words!! 8 )
oy hursh, you and me sound like me and my father. everytime, "discussion" as we like to call it.
nut--since as3 is less than 4 letters, shouldn't it be as3/2.5?
*mamabar whispers to EB..... me too.... I have 19 more*
ok, here's a big word pun for you...my cat, marty, wanders around the house, naturally, as all cats do. he also has the most pathetic sounding meow you have ever heard. so i call him, with double meaning, "peripatetic". anyone who laughs at this wins a prize.
i think it would have to be either 3/1.5 or 3/0
76 trombones for me mama...
that is very cool Hurshy!! Love it!!
HOW DO YOU ALL DO IT???!!! I can scarcely manager to READ the chat, let alone respond in a timely way.....and I haven't found a word for 10 minutes. *returns to puzzle shaking head in amazement*
lol hursh, i call mine 'stinkerbug', any guesses as to why?
it's a gift, haz....... a god given gift...... lol
Hazz - I was stuck at 80 + words remaining for a LOOONG time.... (remember - this is EB NOT on caffeine!!)
you mean besides the obvious, nut?
LOL mom23! Ditto Hazz!
You must feed him grapes, nut!!!!! (not to be confused with grapenuts...)
here kitty kitty
Must be, Mama, must be...
Wouldn't 'perpathetic' be funnier? I'm using that in my stand up routine.
smaller!!!!!!!!!!!!!
peripatetic - sounds like what tweetie bird would say about sylvester the cat's silly attempts! So clever!
it quit when he went on a (very expensive) prescription diet. hardly ever stinks it up now, but the name stuck.
another of my cats is named cinder, and i sing to her, "i love you... for cinder-mental reasons..."
i'm glad you like it mrpres :)
Ladies, it's always fun to come into the middle of something and trying to figure out what in the name of babble you are talking about. Hi Renny!!!!
hi smaller!!!
my other cat is named 'chocolate milk', so i called him 'sir chocsalot'
smaller - it's a result of weather, drugs (esp. heroinE)....
smaller - the chat has been fast and furious so it's probably quite a challenge at this point
Hi EB!!! oooo chocolate
i saw that auntie...
LOL EB! isn't it always here?!!
hi smaller!!!!!!!!!!
eb - so funny smaller - sup sista
hursh - that was just for you!! (I'm really working on the grid, ain't I???)
Hey hursh and mama! you guys are so on a roll tonight! LOL Hi Mab!!! Hey nut!!! I"m on #5. took a quick break for babble
you think I'M bad about grammar and stuff, you should see my husband. he objects when i say "puhtatuh" instead of giving the O's in potato their full sound.
ooo...my p's are running along...I onlly have 2 more to find without really paying attention!!
my new odd spot of the day is lethologica - the inability to remember a word!
Hi Everyone -- just popping in to chat, no babbling for me today --- entertaining company so may not be very fast to respond
yet around the students, his -ing's turn into in's quicker than you can say bob's-your-uncle
i'm so proud of you smaller, i'm reading chronicles of narnia right now.
hursh- Bob is my hubby.... I don't have an Uncle Bob...
WOULFIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(((( (((HUG)))))))))) How's little Seb???
oh oh!!! mrpres just reminded me of a great word i made up. we collect the students' cell phones during study hall so they will study. they hate it. so i made up the word "leipophonophobia" which is fear of the lack of phone!
EB--if p's are running long, maybe a urologist is in your future!
eb - it's a saying - i guess an english saying - bert said it in mary poppins...
((**EB**)) -- He is doing great -- still hiding burps though so last night was a fussy one
groan mom23...8)
(((((GW))))))))) like that word, mrp!
nice word! intense, but nice going!
((**Mama**))
hurshy - I know...but Bob really IS my hubby...who's the uncle to my sisters almost 12 kids... LOL!! ; )
it's funny that hiding burps should be instinctive in babies and then outgrown by manhood
hey wolfie!!!
eb - your sister must be tired.
Woulfie - I'm sure he'll let 'em rip soon enough! LOL!!
Ack! I have phonophobia. honestly. I'm afaid of things most people have never even dreamed of.
hurshy -- you really should say adulthood -- I have met some women who put many of the men I know to shame in that department! :D
4 sisters. oldest - 4 2nd oldest - 4 middle- 2 2nd youngest - 1.9 (she's due 3/22)
((**Ren**))
lol, gw, i guess i just don't know the right women
or I know the wrong ones!
i love burps...i think everyone should support burp!!!
mab- like what? this sounds juicy!!! mom23 - my mind went there too!!!
oh... you see what the lack of an apostrophe can do?
i'm afraid of... *whispers* snakes... i don't even like to say or write the word! my husband and i call them bc's, which is short for bad creatures.
my son always had burps with chunks. we called them "urps"
* uuuuuuuuuurp * uh, what was that ren
hursh - I'm blaming it on the almost midnight hour...I'm usually a stickler for that too... *sigh*
gross!!
I would be horrified to burp publicly. I don't even do it privately. By the way, hursh, I use 'bobs your uncle' all the time. To me it means something like an easy thing. To wit: you do this and you do that and there you go, bob's your uncle!
Thanks, Smaller. Niced to know I'm not alone out there. Great minds and all that! Time to snooze. Nite all.
smaller - or churps...
*applause*
lol eb, it was a funny confusion anyway
nite mom23 bbbbbbbbuuuuuuuuuuuuurrr rrrrrppppppppp....nut burping is a compliment to the chef!!!
nite mom23! LOL EB!!
night mom!!! sweet dreams...
churps is very good eb!!!
in case anyone wonders about the "leipo" in leipophonophobia...which isn't very likely...it's greek for lack.
Hey Mab Miya says she sends her love and she is grateful to you
I agree ren, but not WITH CHUNKS!! (barf)!
hi shorty!!!
*applause for ren* nut, are you going to allow ren to one up you like that?
oh, shorty, can you tell her i said NOBODY thinks less of her, in fact totally the opposite, and i really want her to come back?
HI EB
chunky would be barf....
i already had rolin tell her i was sorry if i hurt her feelings but... want to say that too...
I've stopped p-ing....
I did and she thinks its best if she leaves but she misses everybody
so your p box is all grey now??
ren, nope there's a difference. i understand the counterintuitive of it. but this is yet another way kids are amazing. they can have burps with chunks yet it's not barf. the wonders never end
i do so hope she'll change her mind
whoa eb....
eb, congrats on filling your p box
mr pres...yep!!
I wish she would too but I don't think she will
shorty -- can you either send me Miyavi's email so I can try talking to her, or else send her mine so she can contact me, please?
very interesting smaller....
smaller, supermarkets, for one. Top that, go ahead, anyone.
ok
Thank you ((**shorty**))
Best leave her for a while... she needs time! It was rough on her during the whole incident, and everyone else involved. It will all come good in the end.
mab - is that just since you fainted there yesterday, or did you faint there yesterday because you have a fear of them?
mab...i don't like people to touch me...do you have that one?....???
I just sent it to your e-mail GW
It depends, ren. My brain has holes in it hurshy. I guess that's stating the obvious.
wait ...mab is that a phobia or an aversion?
but that doesn't answer my chicken-and-egg question, mab...
well Ren, it depends who it is touching you... if it is anybody, it is a phobia, if it is just your husband (for instance) then it is an aversion!
a very unlucky aversion...
mab - i think i have an aversion, not a phobia.
mrp -- don't worry I am not going to badger Miy -- I just want her to know that I am still around for her jsut to talk -- I have actually helped someone with a similar experience before :)
sorry, got distracted, one upped - never * UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPP PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP eh eh *
lol mrp....
nut!! LOL!!!
ok nut...let me guzzle my diet coke...warm diet coke....
grey, you are sweet... I didn't mean to imply you would badger her! Just some things look best addressed after some time has passed... great to offer help though!
how could a wolf badger anyway?
that one was kinda juicy
The market phobia is a long-standing condition. When I'm not depressed I can handle it. When I am depressed, the sound of the grass growing and chipmunks blinking distresses me. It's a little neurological disorder I've had for the past 40 years or so, but has worsened considerably in the last two years. I know nothing about chickens. Well, virtually.
oh nut!! that one blew me away! Phew! (did you have garlic?)
if they could see me now, that little gang of mind, burping on the internet and laughing out loud...
badger badger badger badger badger mushroom!
that does not sound like fun, mab. :( i'm sorry.
did someone request badger mushroom pie??
why yes mrp - i take garlic every day, good for the heart you know
i WISH i COULD BURP LIKE THAT i HAVE HEARTBURN SO BAD ITS KILLING ME
*gently pats shorty on the back* let 'er rip!!
mab - (((gentle hugs)))
hit caps lock, that relieves heartburn fast
better pat harder its not working
pat Pat PAt PAT
* raps shorty in the back with a heavy purse *
have you tried pepto, shorty?
THUMP THUMP THUMP....
Mab, I am like that with banks... had an 'incident' happen in a bank once and it is too much to go into one... oh well, I am saving my husband a fortune!!
euph, it's getting late-o-nut, i'm off to beddy-nut
does anyone have a clue to share on the second ce 6/21 please?
ty evan ^
goodnight, nut, sleep tight, don't let the bed-squirrels bite
back now! hi gw!
mama - remove i from ce7
Drink something carbonated, Shorty. Don't pity me, pleeeease. I'm simply mad. I don't look mad, but, oh my, I'm mad. I even get disability for it now (along with the Crohn's). Your mother must be so proud nut. That was a fine burp.
mama take the 7 above it and remove the 'i'
shoot I got heartburn pills and it aint workjng
i will try a diet coke
how long ago did you take them shorty? they take at least 15 mins i think...

Evening all - woulf we're trying for sept. You have room for us or a motel close by?
hi, hoot... ty mama - since i don't curse i had trouble coming up with any bad words ....LOL!
ne 8??? please!!
as 6/24?
Ne 8 is a physics thing - I think part of an atom?
mama a+sp4/4(glasses) + t
hoot -- no room for 2, but there are local places -- I will start looking into the closest ones and email you
as 6 -- common word meaning a side or angle or way of looking at an issue, etc.
ne 8 - ne + 5th vowel + 3 letters meaning three + opp of yes
as 6 is a point of view
hoot - thanks...I think your middle letters "oo" helped me get to the proper ending!! you too mamabear!!
I hate when I don't see the REAL words even.... thanks!
Ok - didn't think you could but had to ask.
And that will be the both of us. He wants to meet my family!
Nuts! So do I!
Done.... FINALLY....... you'd think this one had 6, 384 words in it!!!!!!
woo hoo mama!!
45 & counting
Congrats Mamabear!!!!!
you'll get there EB!!!!!! *mamabear gives EB the monkey back.... (he is through with.... um.... you know..... his problem) *
Way to go mama!

*holds out bananas* here you go little monkey....
Yayyyy for Mama!!!
way to go mama...want some cheetos?
Go EB Go!!!!
Oh ren - I wish you hadn't said that....crunch
sorry hoot...crunch crunch crunch...
Bf ate them all - how about cheez-its?
Well done, Mama! I'm going to make up for today's puzzle on tomorrow's. Who cares about rankings anyway.... I do! I care about MY ranking! I admit it!
I love cheesy poofs!!!!
Ren - going back to the aversions from earlier -- I have a friend who eats cheese puffs with chopsticks so he won't get the orange on his fingers (not cheetos, but you triggered the memory)
the thing is mab, I didn't finish one a couple weeks ago on a Sunday - it was a big one and my "stats" went down 40 points!!!! When I complete one, it goes up like 1 or 2. Like yesterday, I didn't finish and it went down 15 points. How come it goes down so much over one puzzle I wonder?
mab -- I only care about ranking as long as it is not backsliding -- otherwise, it doesn't matter
Well that orange is hard to get off! They should use it on clothes...!
LOL Temple.... you'll get there!!!!!
pass the fish, please...i can't believe i left out the volcano!
Do those rankings make sense? I figured out the center column is just accumulated points: What are the others?
3 to go! can i get a clue for the last two se's?
i keep wet wipes so i can get the orangie stuff off..then i must wash my hands...chop sticks....hmmmm they would last longer that way
That's a cute image, eating the cheese poofs with chopsticks. hehehe.
They've used it too, too often TO. We don't see it any more. I missed it 3-4 times before I spotted it!
It's the World se****
i cannot see the er! help meeeeeeeeeeeee
what are cheese poofs? are they the puffy cheetos? or the cheese poof balls? i don;t shop...i don't know!!!!
Gee whilikers, I dozed off... no joke... I'd better go to bed before I kill myself falling off the computer chair... Nite, all!
Then drop last two letters and add humpy consonant
LOL Jera......... nitey ni 4/4!
Nightie n/4 Jera!! Sweet dreams!!
thanks hoot owl, can't believe i didn't see that 6
Congratulations on finishing, Jera, and good night!
It's a short form of those sea eagles TO
night, jera!
Night Jera
TO - er 4 - ifs yous works yous er** a paychecks
Jera -- that has been my cue to go to bed way too many times these past weeks! I empathise completely -- sleep well! (*Hug*)
I do the grid in sections - go blind if I stay on too long!
ni** jera.... i didn't say the word
mama - that word took a nasty turn! i can't believe i am staying up just to finish this....
I've seen that word so many times in crosswords I assume everyone knows it. Yours is better mama...but it's youse!
finished! I always think something should happen when you get all the words - but it never does (sigh)
caelle gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS~~*~*~*

You did it!!! Congratulations!!! Well done!!! Is that enough?
se8?
yay caelle! * applauds*
thank you - I feel so much better now (wipes away tears)
Yay for caelle!!!!
se8 -- watchmen
bye for now - see you at the flip - assuming i'm still awake
I should have played this grid -- when people ask for a clue I see the word without hunting :D
may i have clue for se8 please?
You're just too good, GW!!! *swoons*
No, pe8?
SE + N + TR5
pe 8 is like the shampoo but with a diff beginning vowel
pe7 - ink biro + the number 10 + 2nd vowel then plural for the pe8
Thanks mrpres, Mama.
*Are You Being Served reference* glass of water for Mamabear!
Hey woulf - we bought the set of Potter movies today. AND a compendium of Dr Who episodes that never made it to the USA! I'll let you know if they are any good.
hoot -- are you talking about the new Dr Who -- Cristopher Eccleston?
No - it's the first 2. There are new episodes? Where? When??
By the way - do I know any of your company?
the new DR showed in Britain last year --- they are going to start airing on the Sci Fi channel I think as soon as this Friday -- make sure to catch it -- The writing is phenomenal and he has a Companion who is a strength rather than a liability for a change -- also they explore the impact on the lives of the people his companion, Rose leaves behind
My company just left, btw and I am about to go to bed as I am nodding off at the keyboard, but it was Turk -- we hit the local gun show and hung out -- it was a really good day :)
Ok - I'll add the sci-fi channel to my Yahoo list. Think they'll ever have a MALE companion?
Shoulda told me - I coulda said hello! Has he moved to Pa too?
With these new writers, anything is possible
nope -- he just came to see Kristianna and Seb -- the gun show was a pleasant bonus/torture for him since he couldn't afford to but anything ;D
Howdy guys and dolls!
And how do you know all this if it isn't on yet?
Hi chic!
Hi chic
hi chic!!
Hi Mr. Woulf!
I know about the Dr because I have next door neighbors who have the resources to get the episodes from Britain shortly after they air there :)
Hi Ms. Hootowl!
Chic -- it's just Woulf -- mister is way too formal for this place
Hi Ms.EBlue!
Wow - my neighbors are all from Louisiana and I doubt they ever heard of the Dr!
ROFL!!!
It's girlfriend talk, Gw.
sorry Ms Chic ;)
Is everyone finished?
There ya go!
6 to go hoot for me hoot.....
hi chic... first sp5/12, please?

Congrats TO - Probably because my BF will be off work and I won't be able to finish it!:(
Congrats, Temple!
hmmmmm- do i wait up to see?
Only 17 min - are you awake enough?
only too awake - which is what i am afraid of...can't sleep in tomorrow
maybe i will go do a chore in the meantime...BBL
Snowy greetings from Revelstoke............ Can anyone help me with my last word? It is the sa 6/18
Hmmm. When I get that way I have a drink. How about a hot chocolate? Would that work? Has to be real milk though.
lesseee - sa - small humpy letter + second ti4/4 without the last letter
woo hoo!! just finished!!
I'm game...Wheres Revelstoke?

Congrats Blue - thought you had gone.
Revelstoke is in BC Canada

Thank you, thank you hootowl
AAH - Thank you. I'm in Memphis, Tenn and the temp right now is 73. Never thought I'd miss snow....
YW
way to go eb!!! how's mab doing?
hoot - I was just head down trying to polish off the grid!
Now I can rest easy. And someone else can use the computer. Night all........It's been a tough one, but fun TTFN
the chat went silent for awhile....
Don't know Ren. Haven't paid to much attention til now.
Sweet dreams galliwags!!
Night galliwags
Understand. I can't accomplish anything when I'm chatting so I do the grid and then chat.
i was reading....
Ooh! What?
did ya'll determinw what the birth sign is? like is it born under a bad moon or....????
hoot - I 'try' to both...end up chatting too much, and then I buckle down to do the grid... and then I start chatting again!! 8 )
Good heavens! The lights keep flickering. Please don't go out until after the flip!
Where are you chic that the lights are flickering?
chic..."it was a dark, stormy night...."
Ren I think you'll ahve to explain that post!
what hoot? the dark stormy night?...from all of the scary movies when the lights go out....
or the birth sign???
Tucson. We've had high winds all day; now it's raining and lightening. If I depart quickly you'll know why!
No silly - the one about a bad moon.:D
"there's no bad signs; just bad people."
AAh - We are supposed to get thunderboomers and hail and all that good stuff but the sky is still open and I'm hoping it's gone north of us.
T'was a dark and stormy night....
Hi nan
yup chic...it was a dark stormy night... hoot - the theme for 3/12/06 is birth signs....and i think there were some questions about birth signs...so you've hear about people being born under a bad moon...i wondered if that was a sign...oe perhaps a shell sign, or exxon/mobil....
hi hootowl :)
