The t's and w's are good for finding a root word and then extending ii to boost your numbers.

no, same as with babble you have a 24hr period, Im just a bit tight for time today as have to go t a meeting late morning so was keeping an eye on the clock.
I do, or attempt to do, sudoku now and again but find it a bit hit or miss. It does seem to have taken off in a big way, though. Even Carol Vorderman is getting in on the act.
I started doing sudoku when it first came out but when i found babble I abandoned it. I was brushing up ast night www.dailymail.co.uk/sudoku has various levels of grids and also has the answers too.
They say that keeping your brain active fights senility. You're doing your bit in that regard!

we are about to move out to live on our little farm (7.5 acres) and we will rent our house here out and we have two old show horses on the property (one pony is 34) and the other we still ride We are going to live in the shed while our new house is being built LOL
That sounds awesome Sandy. I know horses demand alot of time and attention but when you have a love for something well we manage to do it. Good luck on the building of your new home. Living in the shed will we an adventure. I lived in a garage while my home was being built years ago. I've moved since then. But what fun.

Well, bejay, I can honestly say that horse-racing leaves me cold! I prefer show-jumping. My only encounter with horses comes once a week when I help out at the local Riding for the Disabled group. Even then my job is to make the tea and coffee!
I remember the summer of 1976 - I was in hospital in a heatwave with the heating full on

MntJ-Yes I do remember....I was living in Kentucky (born and raised there) and had to park my car at the top of the hill and walk about 3/4 mile home down curvy, windy road.
when my dad and I climbed out the 2nd story window on a board to check the neighbors (an older couple) it was amazing to see... we were snow bound for 2 days and needed to check on them...
I was amazed that here in Memphis we had a week of snow and then a week later its 70 degrees
MntJ-It was certainly a snow storm many of us will not forget. lol. It's snowing here right now. All the snow had melted and it rained like mad off and on for a couple of days and now...snow again...I'm sick to death of it...yuck

its a favorite joke amongst us local midwesterners (they close schools on the hint of snow flurries). It used to take an act of God to get them to do it when I was a kid...
I know exactly where South Bend is I have a very close friend who used to live there. She has since moved to Ohio. South Bend is very nice.
Century Center, by the falls, OMG, that is one of my favorite places, when I worked there, my office overlooked it. the US kayak team still trains there... Its open to the public, and the open air food square is a great place to spend the afternoon...
Century Center is the first place my friend Tamara took me when I went to visit her. lol. Beautiful there.

My biggest worry now is him hitting other kids at preschool... very frustrating not knowing if he understands me or the social reasoning of rules & caring & courtesy. Did you learn to talk later than most kids? You have a fine vocbulary now...

Jera - When I was teaching public school I worked with autistic children. Depending on what your testing shows and the diagnosis, you might want to consider music therapy in addition to speech therapy. It can really help with communication and speech.

Drums is a great idea - if he is into constructing right now. Encourage him to build a "drum set" out of bowls, pots pans etc. Show him how to use wooden spoons or other utensils to make sound. (You might want to invest in a set of earplugs. )

Yes Faerie - we had a contractor here to look at the plumbing the other night (that's a whole other story). Anyway, while he was here I was asking him about the drywall problem. He said a thin coat of joint compound on the whole wall and then sanding it will take care of the problem. That is what I will be doing to morrow since I don't teach on Wednesdays.

it's not that bad. The people who built the addition didn't do the plumbing under the house in the most sensible way. We could live with it this way but it will be more economical to have Tom come and fix it. As soon as I get paid this semester and the weather is warmer he will be doing that. on the right hand side of this page is a list of friends of babble... go to Angelsongs page and in there is all you need to get this game. There is a stats page brooklyn, so you know how many words there are to find and what they start with
The game is like boggle. Make words using only adjacent letters. No repeats, but they can cross diagonally. And for example, remember to use the letter 's' to use the plural version of the word.

Hello kiddos-- When entering the Babble door I hide Dr_God's plea for help at that "other" site while repeating my mantra, "words are good, numbers are bad!" That "s" word makes me uneasy! Of course, many days so does the babble grid! Happy "wording" all! And g'nite!

csh... yes... there is such a thing as being done, lol. if you are not a babblepro, then go to the right side and go to babblers anon and click on general... from there, you will find a stats list posted for the day, which will give you the number of words possible for the day's puzzle.

LOL, csh, I've been playing since about October, and I haven't made it up in the 1K's... basically, I play it for myself now. ;)
csh: you can use the stats list to see what you are missing and ask for clues or scroll back in the log to look for clues..you will usually find clues for long ones and obscure ones jen: i read the ez board how to's and it seems to me that the charges go by the number of unregistered users who hit the site...which would explain why the cost skyrocketed...
