It does not surprise me that when I, on this unsrteadt night for me, listen of A favourite or two, ( 'I Love The Way You Love Me', and ' Hold on To Me' of mine From John Michael Montgomery from Virginia, USA, to learn that he was a favourite of my all time fave band song, chaps, Lyn Skyn. ' Freebird' is my all time fave.
Oh well, neve minc, can't even spell 'unsteady' at this time of the day in UK.
what's unsrteadt?

The inconsistencies of the babble enable dictionary never stop to amaze me. :) And since being capable of being amazed is a sign of a y
...young mind, I don't mind ;)
Hey Jac...I've thought about what happened tonite, and I want you to know that I was on the other end of a similar siuation 25 years ago.....My girlfriend chased me down when I stormed out, and am I glad. We've been married over 20 years now, and it never would have happened if she hadn't caught me. I was so angry, but even more stubborn, and would have let it end there. We now have two kids and a grandchild, and it would have all gone down the drain. I thank God for my wife as often as I remember to( but not as much as I should). If he's worth it, do it, 'cuz you'll never know what might have been. Just my 2 cents... for what it's worth.
woof
Griffs! *hugs* How are you, hun?
Stoner - you're not wrong. I know that. Let 's hope....
*hugs back* I'm doing pretty well, Sprite. Healing physically each day, ready to tear my hair out in other areas of life. How's by you?
Never add teared-out hair to the mess, Griffs ;) Glad to hear you are healing, though I am pretty sure it goes a lot slower than you'd like and need. Doing okay here, step by step on the way to recovery, I guess ;)
We old gals don't bounce like we used to! ;)
Ronin IS a word!
...and that was more then 2 cents' worth, Stoner. Thanks for taking the time out to write it.x
I was extra surprised when it wouldn't take that, because I thought it was a word I learned *here*...
Not on the outside, Griffs... inside we are unstoppable :D
And, Griffums, can you stop all that 'olf girl' stuff? You are 4 year's younger than me, at least.
That was special, Stoner. Thanks for sharing that. *hug*
please tel me some words
kat.dav - we give clues to words here, but don't actually give words. The idea of the game is tht you hunt down worfds and have fun doing so. The thrill of the chase... and all that....
Ec7/36 is nice to find.
gotta quit here at 141 - i will need alot of help tomorrow with those ch's! i'm beat here - good nite everyone

A clue for the ho 4/6 between the sore throat and the weeded please.
Not there yet but thanks for those two clues!
OR the one right after the weeded if the weeded comes right after the sore throat.
yw
don't have thjem, am working backwards am at R's
Eren, perhaps the ho 4/6 you're looking for is the plural of a container used to carry coal.
ho4/6 things to carry brick or stucco mud
ho4/5 to sharpen
Got it thanks. For some reason I couldnt let go of the vowels.

The en 8 means fortified, as in vitamins The aa 5 is an expression of awe - we oohed and aa--- at you...
aa 5...think of a word that means to be in the lead and rearrange the letters

53 so far...how many words are there?
KevinE - see the list on the right - Open Lickety's clues in a new window.
Any clues for IR 4/5 and IR 5/10?
Marc - I see colours ;-)
Huh?
ir 4/5 think of colours. ir5/10 - heavy + vowel
i'm not seeing it! is it biting me on the butt? all i can think of is irridescent.
that would be a great word if it were in there. :)
ir4/5 - made angry
Right?! LOL!
Marc - ir4/5 is i + a colour. ir5/10 is an ore you mine from the ground + 2nd vowel
Got the color! Ore?
Got it! I'm officially stupid!
think: laundry
hehehehe - Only you think that - not us ;-)
I'm too lazy to count the clues... 59 words how many are there???
heh. well, maybe. the fact of the matter is: i've never used one (and the world is a safer place because of it).
KevinE - you can go back 50 in the chat log - answers there. Something like 168
Yes - Iron's are dangerous - especially if you are a single male in a rush to go out and use it standing up with your shirt still on. ;-)

5 June 2004
Well,well can't remember that......very odd
It wasn't given massive coverage over here so maybe it just passed you by.
Any help w/2nd & 3rd NO5/12?
The no 5/12's that I have are anagrams of each other - one is past tense of 'look around' (using body part) and the other is a plural knob or swelling. There may be others.
no5/12: snouted
Got shouted! Thanks. Can't seeoter one. There are 3.
The other one is n plus what begins a fairy story - the phrase
use an5/12 minus the "a"
Got it! Thanks!

It's a nice grid today, faerie, so you can afford to take your time and chat a bit!
Haz - I'm finding that out. I see lots of words hiding in here....So what is todays theme? Did anyone ever figure it out?
I'm not sure, should I try to hunt down Babbler's profile and give a definitive ruling?

Sorry for disappearing awhile back... my son had a potty emergency & no one else in the family is cpable of helping a four year old. use the bathroom..
It's a day trip, Jen, my best friend from before we moved, about an hour away (the way I drive). I will go & hang out with her until her husband gets home from work. Mostly moral support.
of course not Jera thats how it always goes at least around here it does
That's so sweet of you Jera! And knowing you, you will cheer her right up! :) (and trust me on the potty break... I know where you are coming from!)
The main problem was that he was poopy & trying to wipe himself off... but from the screaming I thought it would be smeared all over the walls... there was one spot! He actually did a pretty good job, IMHO. My apologies to anyone having breakfast while Babbling...
How's he feeling? Better I hope.
Well, I better hit the road before rush hour traffic gets nasty... will be back later to chat & hang out!
Drive safely Jera! :)
bye jera
He's to the coughing phase, jen, keeping him home another week to not spread germs (& save money) at preschool. Last session of testing tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed!

Plebian, I have NA5/12. Like Ronald Reagan's wife..w/a diff vowel on the end
na5/12 - slight variation on a female name. Also very similar to the no5/12

thought you might - the ch's are pretty ugly
I was wondering do you have a ch5/14 on your gate?
any clue on the na5/12???
Snowy, my offer to have my five for a bit still stands! When you have that many in one house, they occupy each other!
If I had a gate I would! LOL, we don't have a fenced in yard.
yesterday was only the second day I played, but I work up this morning convinced I had to find 4 words starting with sz. Imagine my relief when I saw that wasn't the case!
LOL, Guar, the day will come!
Ou, na 5/12 is like Reagan,s widows name, change the last letter
Guarana...welcome .You have entered the twilight zone called babble!!
inge...thanks, I got it...still missing one of the two NA4/4's before it...I have the baby carer
na4/4 Indian bread
got it ... thanks caitlyn...DONE....anyone need a clue??
I need both of the ch 6/7 combos, any one have those yet?
ch6...sounds like a cheese
Hah! I monkey one! Like the cheese...
bunny ch6/27 a type of cheese miss out a middle letter
I got that pair to, the other is driving me crazy!
ch6...other one rhymes with a joanna
TY!
well, ch's done - of 11 I've never heard of 6. Not good. But the def for the last ch6/24 will give you another word...
Done!
Well done finishers
WTG Jen (peeking over shoulder)!
good for you Jen! I really don't like today's grid
anyone need anything before I let the munchkin play his phonics game?
Still need 55, but thanks.
Jen, I'm still not getting the ch's
Thanks Jen, but I've resorted to the lists so I'll probably be able to muddle my way throught the last 30 or so... *grumble, grumble*
what do you sit on?
neither ch7 screams out at me
gramma, there are 2 ch's (6 and 7) that look sort of like that tasty orange cheese (well, I guess it's white too, especially if it's Irish)
ch, think of shackles
michael have you got the ch6/27? plural for the 7/40
michaelden, was that a clue?
ch 6/27 & 7/40 are like a tangy orange cheese with only one cons in the middle instead of two
google the other one: ch6/7 " The opening into the nasopharynx of the nasal cavity on either side; posterior naris."
I doubt they'd do that to anyone, michael. ch7/40 - sounds like pl. kind of cheese, or, pronounced differently, people who don't play fair
nope i have a ch 6 /24
Im going for an hour!!!!!! Back later
Mich, add a vowel for the 7
Bye Cait!
hi everyone : ) how's the grid? how are we for trolls? *looks around*
any help on the or 6/21 or the os 5/10?
any clue about in 4/4?
thank you all
Hi Babbler - no trolls, but the grid's pretty ugly, if you ask me.
Manj, 12 of them make a foot
manju - take a measured approach to that one...
hmmm
in4/4 - add the start of Reagan's name
RYC or 6/21 - or + what you eat with chop sticks (not noodle)
Well, I am off... getting bugged about playing the Clifford phonics game. Have a great day all! :)
really? oh no, I've just run away from piranha sudoku! :'(
or 6/21 = or + a type of grain os 5/10 = a kind of willow tree; otherwise it's hard to give clues for...
I had a really easy time with the Sodku grid today, it's babble that is killing me!
found a new way of doing babble: check the log after evry ten minutes of housework and enter the clued words, I am up to 1o1 now. Reminds me of the Waldorf school method of alternating brain and muscle power.
os5/10 - if you have the ho 6 meaning someone who makes/sells stockings, take off the h.
I think I've done something wrong over there, bunny. Contemplating starting over... : /
os 5/10 is just like no 6/18 & ho 6/21
haz - thanks - I could have sworn I had tried that... but guess not...
thats a good idea inge
I got all of the 1's right off the bat and was able to place the top middle cell pretty fast.
good thinking inge. I really ought to go out for a walk (despite the squally weather).
I started well too, bunny, but then I just kept going down dead ends. : /
Sorry I had to take care of the wee one. I'll scroll back now and get my clues 8)
Those little grren tick marks save my rear alot of the time, I just can't remember what doesn't go where if I don't!
wow, the sun's come out in London! I'm gonna get out of the house before it starts raiining again. See you all in a bit! :D
Bye!
I know exactly what you mean, bunny. : )
WOW babbler its out in Ohio too I need to go enjoy it
i must be "jet lagged" from the clock changes cos I'm only just getting some of these
hello does could any darlings tell me a couple of words I'm really stuck? thankyou
ellaenchanted, we don't give out words, must clues.
Think we had this conversation yesterday.
could anyone give me clues then?
I meant, just clues
Ella, which words?
ok could anyone give ma clues?
for which one ella
bunnyvivious I meant words for the puzzle today
the babble puzzle
Which word do you need a clue for Ella?
HOW DO YOU MEAN IF i KNEW WHICH WORD THEN i WOULDN'T NEED A CLUE!
Can someone tell me where I need to go for the word list (you know, how many words of each length) and the explanation of the 6/27 code? Cheers!
ella - scroll back thru the log, you'll find lots of clues
Afternoon all
where is the log?
Well there are 168 words so which one do you want a clue for and you dont have to yell
I'm screaming myself ho5/21 over this grid!
ella -if you go to Angelsongs site under Friends of Babble on the right of this page there is a list that gives you the 1st 2 letters of every word in the grid. It is really useful for prompting words. There is also all the info you need to know about babble . there are lots of clues if you scroll back in the chat log too.
7
Hi FMitch!
Go to Babbler Anon (right uper corner of this page) click on General, then stats, there are your lists
ella - you visited babble yesterday and we had to go through all of this then, are we going to have to do the same today?
Sorry - I meant the Angelsong group (can't find it, but possibly because I'm blind). You guys might enjoy www.setgame.com as well...
Hi all - I'm back - just waiting for my Dr. to call me back Again....
sorry fmitch I am dearly sorry could you excuse me?
Faerie, I was just thinnking of you when ellla popped in!
Hey bunny and Hi amanda
matty - Angelsongs page is 3rd from bottom under Friends of babble ( green font)
Amandacath, thanks for the screaming clue.
Hi Bunny - whats hoppin' ? teehee
Matty, top right corner of the page, there ar eFreind's Of Babble, it's third from bottom.
Hi faerie & FMitch!
{{{{FAERIE}}}}
My blood pressure for now!
Hi Snowy Hi FMitch
HI EVERYONE
hi mitch - this is the first time since I started playing that I've really been annoyed at the grid and will truly be glad when I'm finished.
(((Shorty))) Hi :)
WOO HOO ((group hug))! Who brought the chocolate?
Sounds like I missed an interesting or not day yesterday. LOL
Amanda, what do you need help with, I'm almost done!
oh yeah it was very interesting
(((((XXX)))) I got the chocolate right her next to my bag of faerie dust...*grin*
Hello all LOL amanda, just crossed the `00 but feel I am about to grind to a halt.
Any clue for the third ho 5/12 please?
it's just little ones here and there - I've got the 2-letter list, so I'll muddle through, but no fear, will ask if I really need anything
jeez can't even type 100 in properly no hope for me with the grid.
aa? How many words start aa?? In English? At all?
well I have to go cut my dogs hair so I'll see ya all later
that's exactly what I'm working on now, spellit - will let you know if i find it
ho 5/12 - just like Co*** the Barbarian
Bye Shorty - hurry back
just 1 matt
ok I will
No - that's the second ho 5/12!
Bye Shorty
Matt -think OOHs & aa***
Sorry, I counted it as 3 of 4...
oops - but in the past! lol
ok - got the ho5's: sore throat like the barbarian judge's title
You need people to do the weeding
bye shorty
You also need what the firemen did to kill the flames
bye I'll be boak
Got it. Silly word.
ho 5/12 - plural of 4/5 before it (rhyme with what you row a boat with 0 ho 5/12 - plural of ho 4/5 before it, dig in a garden ho 5/12 - barbarian ho 5/12 - students make the A ho*** roll
Thanks Amanda = I must block out the US spellings! That's me finished; off to hospital to collect wife now!
ok, not only can't i find any words, i can't even count the ones i have - if i don't finish this quickly, i'm going to put my foot through my monitor!
brb
LOL, there, there amanda, take a deep breath and take 5. Words will magically appear when you come back.
Sorry if I confused you!
I need first ma5/12, and either second or third ma4/5.
LLC 1st m4 - just go left
The first ma 5/12 is plural of the 4 before it
ma5/12 - the plural of ma4 - more a's than you'd believe possible.
The second and third ma 4/5's consist of a male and a vowel
Afternoon Haz, how's you today?
ma 4/5 - def. A supernatural force believed to dwell in a person or sacred object me 4/5 - A hand-held stone or roller for grinding corn or other grains on a metate...or...ma + opp of yes
Got 'em. Thanks.
Hello, FMitch - I'm fine. Just done the housework and have stranded myself in the study while the floor dries in the hall.
LOL that sounds like a good ploy
Guess I need to get and balance my checkbook, see how poor am I for the next few days. Ya'll take care!
Bye Bunny see ya soon.
bye bunny -LOL Haz -it's a good place to mop yourself into
I can find lots of excuses to be stranded in the study! I have finished the grid but am lurking. In the most positive sense of the word....
Argh, this is taking up way too much time, and I still have 62 to go. Need a break. Maybe I'll spot more later.
Good morning everyone :)
Hello cybernan!
eo 6/18? -- good enought excuse, Haz?
Haz, you can be on troll alert whilst you lurk :)) Morning cnan
hi cybernan! How are you? It's 4.56pm here! On my way to Brownies in 10 mins or so.
eo 6 - a long time and Scottish John
Hi snowy -- good for you!
ty haz
how about ri 6?
You're welcome.
the ri 6 is like the en6 turned around
Thanks again -- pass the fish!
morning all! as predicted, now the other child is home sick, so I will be back and forth... [sigh] at least it will be quiet so I can concentrate
Hi Im back!!!!!!!!!
The eo is still baffling me. So's the barbarian ho
Whew! I'm finished! My monitor and sanity are saved! And as the crowning i***y, my last word was that really simple do4/5!!!!
matty - the barbarian reference is to a film role by Arnold Schwarzenegger. (began with C) If that doesn't help, then try first letters of bee produce followed by start of woman's name
I have the en 8...any clues for the other 8?
Off to Brownies now -BBL - Happy Babbling
en6????? I have en7 & en8 but not 6. Pls drop me a hint
YAY Amanda! Bye Snowy...
Well done amandacath!!!!!!!!
The other am 8 relates to the membrane around a foetus.
Bye snowy have fun
Angelsong, there's only one EN8
michael - if you have the en8 then take off the last two letters for the 6.
Thanks Haz - I'm definitely taking 5 minutes out now!
eo 6 - first find the ae4/4 relating to a long time. Remove the a. Then add an ending which makes the word an adjective (Scottish man's name, author Fleming of Bond fame)
Thanks all. If I can help anyone else save their sanity...
Am 8 sounds very similar to the fluid in a pregnant woman's uterus
Michaelden - we've all done it before! Take a break and you'll see more words afterwards..
as predicted, I am wanted elsewhere :( On the other hand, only 99 words left... :) BBL
Later stid
Bye, stidmamma. The floor has dried (you can't get the water to stay wet these days - I blame global warming) so I should be off.
found both 8's. Faerie, you still here?
You know you want to stay haz!!
bye, Haz :)
they know we hate vowels, they just do this to torment us
aaaaah is not a word?
balker no but youre close ...
How many words are there in the list today?
this may be the first babble i have not enjoyed
ri 5?
168 words today
wine
my words exactly, hurshy! I actually considered throwing in the towel and not finishing.
drat, i don't know anything about wine
why was that, Hurshy?
Spanish...
not WAS, IS, i ain't done yet
TOO MANY VOWELS
and i took french, oh why did i take french
Use the tile that is worth 6 points
ri5- myparting gift. Spanish river, German yes. For the multi-linguists!
work from the bottom up and include the j - spanish wine
is wine a clue for something?
thank you, that is one less word to find.
ri 5 - is a type of wine.
I've got one of the eights, but not the other...
hey
hey shem, where are ham and japheth? (ha ha ha)
me too i have the am8
am8/50 - like fluid in womb en8/55 - if you won the lottery....
hi shem
en 8 is past-tense of en 6
awesity awesity awesome
why do so many scottish words count but never "naes"
got it (the Spanish wine) -- did you find it Hurshy?
yup
that's ONE, one vowel finished, hahahahaha
hurshy, we're on the exact same wavelength today ... kinda scary!
:)
are you on the "must finish quickly bc i have a zillion things to do" wavelength?
No, not that one, but the "I hate this grid!" and "why the $$?%!* won't it take naes" one
:)
hello everyone!
there's always the final resort of ar5/10
Hi Temple
ar5... i was thinking more su7/40
Hi Temple!
how is "aries" not a valid word?
same way nano isn't, jylcat - the Babble-gods work in mysterious ways
how's the grid today?
just look at it temple, it's hideous. TOO MANY VOWELS
Rough Temple Rough!!!!!!!!!!!
missing one of the first three no 4/4's -- have the film and latin ninth -- the other one?
horrid, nasty, really really icky! But I did manage to finish
cnan, not yesses?
wel wtg, amanda! : )
thanks hurshy -- couldn't see it!
couldn't see something? on this grid? you surprise me.
LOL Hurshy
since i have only 9 so far including the two large ones you just clued, i'd say that assesment is right on!
ci 5/12?
ooh, i know! pl of a kind of cloud
thanks cnan!
ci +double cons +vowel (think clouds)
am I the only person who will type a word I know isn't going to be in the grid, just to get it out of my system?
no
Angel I do that too!!! Sometimes more than once
ty cait
oh no, Angel! I type it over an over again, and later, when I've forgotten that it doesn't work, I try it again just to make sure!
so6/21 ? a clue pls
the eagle so**** through the air
so6 went higher than so4
what the @#$% is the ae7?
thnx cait :)
how many words today pls
168
168 words
The problem with this grid is that there are no t's!
omg r u serois
hurshy - Of, relating to, or constituting an ae** the short ae + scottish man's name
claire if you go to angelsong's page, links, you will find all the stats.
ty amanda - i was like, this should be easy, between the 4 and the 6, but could NOT see the ending
ugh, 2nd an5?
Passes hurshy a bar of chocolate........that should make you feel better!!!!!!!
I like Lickety's Babble Clues which is linked on the right
nvm, got the an's
tyvm caitlyn
hurshy - to where the other an5s drift
that's 2, 2 vowels done! hahahaha
lickertys clues are great but all info i put in goes when i return grrrr!!
sigh - i knew there had to be more than 3 ch's
see, hurshy - told you we were on the same wavelength. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the ch list!
Sorry Hurshy there are 11 !!!!!
lol amanda, look what you did
oops! Sorry bout that...
any help on the second re 5/12, the one in the middle after 6/21???
and chai isn't one of them...
inge - pl?
yeah, that one made me rather angry. Yesterday it takes congo, which is evidently a kind of tea, and today it won't take chai...
think i need assistance with the ch 6/7 combos
re5 - to put on again. Hold on hurshy, have to look at them again...
re 5/12: pluralize the re 4/5 before it
if there were a t, now, i could get a 7
thanks, that finished the r's
ok here goes: 1st ch6-7 combo: sounds like a kind of cheese
help with the ch 6's & 7's?
ch6/27 a type of cheese miss out the middle letter
got it
2nd ch 6-7: girl that Harry didn't take to the dance + var. of another girl's name
Ch 6/24 : sounds like an Australian lizard Ch 7/36 Latin plural of the above
perfect, lovely, i kiss you amanda!
glad you understood it!
I just looked it up and... oh well, I suppose everything has a name
the harry part was easy, and then i had to think a sec :)
amanda and hurshy kissing....woohoo... those were great clues, many thanks
australian lizard and harry meant nothing to me! But sure got my favourite cheese -- even though it is missing a letter and the last vowel is wrong!
not THAT kind of kiss
it's the smart-ar4/4 in me - giving clues is more fun than finding words!
hurshy - what's your icon?
local bookstore - today is shops, right?
that's 3, 3 vowels done! hahahahaha
my eye exam is overdue - looked like a spine to me!
could I please have another clue for the last ch 6 & 7, besides harry and australian lizards?
have you got it yet, C-Nan? I'm trying to think of another clue...
:) that's the postcard rack :)
found the 6 --
how about hecno. as in, is the grid easy today? hecno!
hmmmm - there's an actress named J. Cassidy - if you pronounce her name a bit differently...
Ch 6 : Think "Star of Ab-Fab", then change the first letter
add a vowel to the end
Got em -- thanks everyone.
What am i saying.......add a vowel to everything!!!!!!!!
dont watch ab-fab lol
All these movies, tv shows and actors I've never heard of!! -- guess I should get out more!
If you're going to watch TV shows you need to stay *in* more...
I just wiki-ed the 1st ch6, since the dic. didn't have it - thought it might be something like that: traditional elementary schools or classes teaching the basics of Judaism and the Hebrew language. hint: there's another word in the grid that is an alt. sp. of it
How do you id the grids? I'm a newbie!!
...no! not the 1st ch6 - the first ch6 that we were just clueing for. Don't let me confuse you too much
Don't understand exactly what you're asking, tmcs...?
Everyone keeps talking about 3 ch's and grid something or other . . . I'm trying to keep up . . .
Slew this Jabberwock
come to my arms, my beamish boy
O frabjous day 168 words 4.83 2037
poor tmc! Go to Babblers Anon upper right of this page, click on General then stats and you get the lists, and at the bottom the explanation what the numbers mean
I am home! People who quote poetry!! Yay!
the grid is the board, the letters. For more info, read the rules and go to AngelSong's Babble Page - link in the Friends of Babble box
tmcs, many folks here are using this: http://licketysplitaus. googlepages.com/babbleclues
Heck, some of us write it- badly
Yay Ludo! It was ugly, wasn't it
There should be a rule against Great Walls of As
i am missing one of the na4's between the 5's, they would have to all be worth same, mine rhymes with the ch about when everything is in disorder
Fist an4/4?
Am missing (2) na5/12 and na4/4 Have: na 4 4 na 4 4 na 4 4 na 5 10 na 5 10

ooh, trade you a 5/12 for a 5/10 5/12 is amateur detective drew, change last letter
i have the 5/10 that is like indian dress plural
hursh - one na4 is the plural of the other, greek, if I'm not mistaken...
The other Na-4 is very odd: Sodium, Oxygen, Iodine (is a rubbish clue but it's a weird word)
Got to go and get supper prepared .Have fun happy babbling all bye
omg, i can't believe, i missed that. that is as bad as missing toea.
Ludo - good clue! Sodium, Oxygen, iodine? Sounds like my medication! LOL! EVenin' all! ;)

ty mary
Oh, for Pete's sake.
both na5/10s are anatomy: buttocks and nostril
Na 5/10: one is kinda like a city in France, the other is something like a rabbit, and plural
give me some words please?
ella, you already tried once today, and evidently yesterday as well - you're going to get yourself in trouble
that's an image I didn't need
Back again ella?
Hi amanda and all got called away, darn work :)

ditto Ludo :)
Congrats Nan, and nice to see Mitch repairing his socks...

Sorry about the unpleasant anatomical image - wasn't intended and I didn't see it until you guys said something.
i'm done too!!!
na 4/4 -- grandma
Mary - take the chemical symbols for all those elements and combine them. Not literally, of course, 'cos you'd probably blow your eyebrows off.
How are you?
^5 Hurshy!
aa5 / 14 : quite likely you will have done this immediately after getting a difficult answer
congrats finishers all finishers! Cybernan, Hurshy, amandcath. Got a long way to go. The wall of a's needs to be demolished.

Stidmama -- need a few a's. Checking which ones. Back to you shortly.

ar 5/10: to set fire to cause damage
ae 7/28: ae 4/4 + three letter european version of John
first an 4/4: like the last an 4/4, but switch the last consonant to the first vowel. Apparently a type of philippino buffalo.

North America starts with N and ends with a South America starts with S and ends with a
guerro, it's just a reference. Fill in the ones you already have, then use the remaining as clues to the rest of the words. Don't refresh the page though, you'll lose everything

thanks tiger - can't believe i missed that one!
lol Dachef!! I was saying something similar yesterday! :D
ok - for the ar words: i have the measure, the god of war, the word meaning to get up...i really need help for the last two! a 4/4/ and a 5/10...
a 4/4 = "what you sit on" in slang ar 5/10: to light a fire to cause damage, a crime
the Ar4/4 is your bum, and the Ar5/10 is setting fire to stuff
nevermind - DONE!!!
ar4 - British variant for which we use donkey ar5 - setting fire to your house for the insurance
ty stidmama!
ty vi!
YAY TempleOwl! Can you share a clue for the first ch 6/24?
ty tiger!
ch6/24 - bung a vowel on the end of the previous, for no apparent reason
st: make your ch5 a little longer
Thank you both! How do they get these words? I thought I was better read...
You're perfectly well read. It's this crazy dictionary that doesn't seem to be very well educated!
vicuna: and its not even in the dictionary
Well, guerra, thing is, there's no such thing as THE dictionary. There are any number of dictionaries, and the one used by Babble certainly has disagreements with the one used by the question marks beside the word list, as well as with the ones I have here at home. Annoying, in any case, but hardly the end of the language!
Well, VicunO, you are very correct !
That said, I agree with you wholeheartedly: it's so dumb when the words aren't even in the dictionary! :)
an5/12 & 7/32 plz.....
an7/32 - adj form of an5/10 before it an5/12 - one of the terminals of a battery
Yes, like some languages use different vowels at the end of words or names to denote gender. Like in Spanish they use the letter 'a' for female and the letter 'o' for male. ;)
an 5/12: I think it's one of the poles of a battery? an + old term for a long poem-story. "An *** on a Grecian Urn"
Sorry, I meant the an5/10 & 7/32.....
Ahh, sorry guerro, didn't notice that I'd made you a female battle!
an 5/10: change the first vowel of on 5...
;) if I wasn't such a man it wouldn't matter so much, right? lol its slang for whitey
an5/10 - negatively charged particle, the 7, as previously mentioned, is an adj form thereof
an 7: tack on the first two letters of frozen H2O...
but i still want to be a white guy instead of a white girl
Fair enough, guerro! :) And there are few enough men on this site as it is!
Thanx, all......
Hello again - looking for the en 7/36 please.
en + first ch***
yeah, I will probably have to write my masters thesis about how I managed to fail out of business college because I was too busy (obsessed) with sudoku and babble . <sigh>
en7/36 - en + Aretha Franklin's "--- of fools"
Vicuna - great clue thanks.
I hope you're singing it now!
that M in the upper corner really bugs me.
and I think that J is looking at me funny
Thanks alot - LOL - Actually it will be running thru my brain the rest of the day. Good song.
ha - just monkey typed the eo....
Does anyone here have children they would sometimes just like to take outback and beat the living hell out of?
any help with the na's - I have two of the 4/4 but there are bunch I have not a clue about...
Not really, faeriekae. I'd rather just abandon mine by the roadside!
My friend John has 2 children and this past weekend his daughter 17yrs old stole $200.00 out of my purse and a bottle of pain pills (Vicodan)
Yeah, I'd say beating would be a very real temptation. Mine are still too young to be more than extremely annoying.
guerro - why not write a thesis on "that m is really bugging me?" Believe me (I know, cos I've been there), bosses and tutors do not take happily to the excuse: "I'm sorry Im late for the meeting/exam/lecture I was stuck on that sodding an5/10 in the middle of the grid." Never seems to go down too well. LOL!!!!
What do I do? Her father says that she would never do anything like that. But she was the only one there when it came up missing.
oh fairiekae, how dreadful! I once gave a lift to a young woman I thought was a college student. When I got home my new prescription (luckily my purse was by my feet) was gone. Joke on her, though the meds were important to me, they had no street value or "fun" value! So, yes... though I am not a violent person...
ch6/27 & 7/40 now, plz.......
Stidmama - It ticked you off though right? The nerve of some people.
dachef: that is actually a pretty good idea. The insurgence in popularity of word and number puzzles and the online versions they have spawned.
Try to get him to see that IF she did it, she could be in real danger with the pills. Maybe if he thinks of it as a danger to her and not "just" you being angry...
Ch6/27 sounds like a cheese, 7 is the plural
Thanx, Tiger.....
"the popularity of word puzzles and the amount of work hours lost to the nation due to us lot playing them at work" might be better!!!!
I have Ea, Ec x 7, En x 3 and Eo and idea which one I'm missing?
Time for another break -- the laundry needs folding. BBL
faeireke: get her alone and tell her that if she returns the items in question no harm will come to her. If she refuses, then give her one last chance. If she still refuses, take a ball bat, or they may call it a cricket mallet where you are from, and hit her across her knee. If she still refuses, hit across the other knee. Rinse and repeat until she gives you your stuff back.
He knows they have a street value and that they are very strong pain pills (my Dr just increased the mg. from 500 to 750) He is not dumb to that stuff its just that he doesnt think his daughter would do it. He says that I must have misplaced them...Ya right.
That damn Italian greeting again!!!!! I never spot that one.......Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
dachef: that would be one chapter ;)
Guerro - LOLOL - thats exactly what I would love to do to her.....
hey, its not about love. Its about that slimey cunt stealing. You have to let her know you mean business. Or she and her father will keep taking advantage.
Tiger - there are 8 ec's
Thanks faerie :)
ci5/12 and de5/12 anyone? thx
be back in a few
plural of de4/5
Guerro-I know you are right. Her mother called me today and called me a few choice names. I hate all the drama. But I do have a Louisville Slugger...*thinking about breaking knee caps* I did have her alone to talk to her about this. We were the only people in the house for 3 days.
Tiger - your welcome
sorry, meant the first de 5/12
ci5 plural of a kind of cloud (Latin ending)
de5/12 . . . take the oxygen out of :-)
vpchat- di + what you breath

{{{{{{{{[CONGRATS GRAMMA}}}}}}}}}}
Way to go Gramma! **Y**I**P**P**E**E**
stidmama, speak up..I can't hear you...your voice sounds rough
brb
ho6/21 how you sound if you have a sore throat
kudos, gramma!

( blushing)...thanks everyone
Un... how DO you pronounce your moniker? It looks French, and I want to say "uneasy"... but figure that's probably wrong!
am please-
phonetically . . . ewn-ex-wahz
am both have to do with the fluid that surrounds a baby in the womb
kimberblue, AM8 sounds like the fluid in a pregnant woman's uterus
it means a girl/woman from Aix (Provence)--it's where I went to school for a year and where my ex-hubby is from
Thank you. Not that you ever heard me mangle your name! I just like to get things right (most of the time) :-)
My parents have visited Provence... and really liked it. It is (besides Alsace) the one place I want to visit in France -- so full of music history and adventure! And the pictures are just lovely...
thanks much :)
stidmama, I just make things up when it's too difficult for my little pea brain. When I see Une's name, I think "one axis". It helps me to move along
une, do you know where digne is?
Still can't get ch6/27 Does it start cha or cho
See ya on the flip. Good luck and have fun :}

Thanks, Gramma! See you in ten!
Bye gramma
Goodday everyone! ae 6/21?
Ok, now I mean it. Bye 8)
Hello knutmeg! Take ae 4/4 and add the first two letters of frozen H2O...
and hello again
hi everyone!
Hi Shorty :)
Thank you, Stidmama!
Hi TO :)
The fourth na4/4 plz.....
i cut my dogs haim him is berry cute :)
gotta run to pharmacy be back in a few.
na4/4 = na + abbreviation for what Windows is
add a different letter ending letter to the word above it, movieman
movieman, I think it's the origin for the English word "nave" meaning the important bit of a temple or church; it's actually Greek.
My brain is fried, and the sunshine is calling (so are the dogs) so I'll go take my lunch break. See you all later!
Thanx, all........
oh my faerie !are you still here or did you already leave
anyone got a clue for se 6/21? it's killing me...

You might hold a Se**** to talk to a spirit

any help on the last ec5/14?
yeah and her mother has called me and called me every name in the book for accusing her daughter of stealing.
vpchat - the in4/4 is an anagram of the ir4/4.....
oh I take those for my migrains
ec 5/14 is like the previous 6/24 minus a vowel
faerie - I'm sorry to hear about your troubles... that's a terrible situation to be in...
is she related to you?
thanks eren!
thanks movieman :)
Very strong. And yes they have a street value. I guess I will just not be around her anymore than I have to be. If she is going to be with at her dads place I will stay my butt at home.
You're welcome, vpchat......
Im still looking for the oa 4/4.
She is my friends daughter. My guy John. Some guy even he says he doesn't believe she took anything becasue she said she didn't do it and she would never lie to him.

oh my so they just disappeared in thin air!
eren, what you row a boat with.
she took $200.00 in cash and the entire bottle of pills that I had filled 2 days before.
Ok, thats what I thought but I couldnt see how an a connected with the next letter. Silly me.
Well, that's me done!!!!! I guess you could call me one of those completists, and if truth be told, I'm actually trying to get perfect scores for every game so I can get as high up the leaderboard as possible!!!!!! Anyway, enough of all the waffling, I've gotta go...... See y'all on the morrow...... Byyyyyeeeeeee!!! !!

Shorty-I took a fall down my basement steps a while back and now go to physical therapy twice a week. In stead of having rotator cuff surgery.
ec 6 and 7 clues pls anyone
oh thats right i remember
ec's -variants of the effect when your voiceis bounced back at you in a cave or a canyon.
ec sounds like it will come back
ec 6 and 7's are forms of the resounding ec4/6. There are plurals there, the people making the resounding noises and the past tense
ch7/36 is the plural of the ch 6 but it takes a latin plural - ends in a vowel
I did sort of make her weekend hell for her. I made her help me clean house which she has never done in her life. Honestly. The girl can't even make a bed right. But I taught her how.... *grin* and how to mop with a real mop you know bucket of water the whole works.
good but I doubt she ever do cleaning again
hi haz...
Hello TO and everyone else.

well is it or do I just live in the dark ages?
It's the sort of place that loans out millions of dollars worth of jewellery to Oscar people.

Hi Jera Welcome back to the mad house.
hey Jera :D
Hello Jera.
Faerie, did you get Firefox?
Yes, indeed... you crazy kids make me look normal... ;D
Angel - not yet. I've been in bed off an on all day. But I will try to do it later on when I finish this grid...Notice I said "when I finish" and I will.
thnx haz i shud of got that i had the other one
faerie. I was reading back in the chat a bit how you fell down your basement steps?? That is a big fear of mine... especially lately as I am taking boxes of stuff down to our cellar for storage...
Jera-you poor poor girl only in your mind...lol
My parents used to punish me with housework - now I don't do it at all. I feel like I'm being punished
Haz, your shop looks yummy... tell me about it?
It's just an Irish bakery shop I picked out of Google images. We're very much into breads and fancy cakes here so bakeries are popular!
Oh Jera I have 12 steps and I hit every one of them. Please be careful. My dog got between my feet and I tripped. Plus I had taken my hand rail down to get a big freezer out and hadn't put it back so that was my fault I guess.
jdaisy - LOL - makes for great punishment don't you think...
Have to go - ER is coming on. It's never been the same since Carter left, but still worth watching. See you tomorrow!
Bye Haz enjoy your show.
I am being very careful, faerie... dragging the boxes down one step at a time, taking as much time as I need. One slipped & I have a nasty bruise on my righ arm... that's the only real injury so far... knock wood!
it's never been the same since Clooney left... nite Haz :D
im stuck on am8/50 anyone ??
Bye, Haz! I didn't do a shop since 99.9% of my shopping is send hubby out or on-line... drugstore.com & staples.com didn't reall speak to me. I guess I could have used the eBay logo, LOL
I'm assuming he/she has regular chores too.
Do you have the am6? Just add a "like" suffix for the 8
Jera-I like my basement because I can store so much stuff and my laundry is down there also but the steps can be a killer. You need to take lighter loads down. I'm one to talk. LOL
Hello, everyone. Need help with the CH6/27 and 7/40 after it. Any hints? The AM8 is based on the AM6 - referring to the fluid surrounding a fetus in the womb.
Fortunately my boxes are uniform. I will make hubby take the books down, the ones we don't donate or keep on display.
ch6/27 = like a kind of chhese, but lose one of the doubled vowels
Oops, I mean doubled consonants!
jdaisy-she has never had to lift a finger to do anything thats what is wrong with her now. I'm just thankful she isn't my daughter....She belongs to my freind John.
i dnt av am6 yet loool
ch 6/27 is a variant spelling on orange cheese. ch7/40 is the plural. I'll trade you - can you help with the second ch5/14?
ch7 is the plural of the "cheese"
Howdy Charm :)
Jera! Thank you! The things I learn here....
hi Charm :D
I want to get things down to a manageable size... we have so much cool stuff, but there sooooo much of it we can't/display/use/enjoy it. I think I need to rotate decor or something like that.
Need to find something she can do around the house that she won't mind doing that still contributes.
Hey, faeriekae. Hey, sherb.
You sit in the second ch5/14
My daughter (nearly 10) LOVES cleaning!! She was absolutely thrileld to be taught how to run the dishwasher this weekend... I sit back & say "More power to her!"
my bad. meant the third ch 5/14
Wish I was like that.
jdaisy-she lives with her Mother. She just went to her Dads place with me for a long weekend and it was a longggg weekend. I gave her plenty to do. Which her Mother told me was unacceptable.
She already cleans the bathroom once a week... tub, sink, toilet, mops floor... she's jewel. When it gets warm one of her favorite thigs to do is wash my car...
third ch5/14 = absence of order... complete ch***
It's also a theory discussed Jurassic Park movie
Jera- Yeah - you are a good mommy. I was cleaning house before I was going old enough to know it sucked and I thank my Mom for that.
need a clue for the first na5/12 please
I used to love to wash the car so I could wear my bikini out front. I usually ended up not haveing to wash the car. ; )
na5/12 = sounds like short for Reagan's widow (first name)
Jera - may I borrow her? Please....she could help me clean my yard. Picking up sticks and triming back dead flowers.
sounds like girl detective Na*** Drew

Neat trick, faeriekae, isn't it? *chuckles evilly & rubs hands together* I also play the crippled card when I have to... not often

Jera - LOL - play every card handed to you baby thats what they are for.
Yes, except I'm 35, still a rebel though.
jdaisy-It doesn't matter how old you are...work it. LOL
Speaking of Summer, I can't believe how busy we are going to be... the Indian Pow-Wow we go to every year is before school is even out for Summer! Then herself goes to Girl Scout camp for 2 weeks, then thh grandparents' in Georgia... then I'll have her for a bit... Then you can have her, FK!

thank you!!
oh, thankyou, stidmama! (I hope you don't take this the wrong way- everytime I read your name, I see stdmama- no 'i'. Always gives me a bit of a shock.)
How long does it take you guys to finish these puzzles usually? I've been working on this pretty hard for about 3 hours, and I'm only 2/3 done. I'm going to be fired from work if I spend this much time everyday.
YW, and don't sweat the screen name -- most of them are pretty interesting...
how many words are there?
168
I think every person spends different amounts of time, and some puzzles are way harder than others. A suggestion made my first day (about a week ago) was to print out the grid, and one of the lists of clues, and take it with you to work offline during the day, then finish up when you get home.
rediculous! thanx for the answer though.
haha I was just htinking that that sounded like genius!
ch6/27 and ch7/40?
Good evening, all. stidmama, great suggestion! Beckzilla, I just finished typing in my list created off line on the printed list -- not all I'd written were actually words, mind you! -- and I got 96. PLUS!!! Nothing to hide on the screen at work...
ch. cheesy!!!
mmmmmmm, cheese...
I am one of the lucky ones that the "flip" to the new puzzle happens just before I turn in for the night. And, I work at home (and the last two weeks have had sick children who kept me from doing much real work anyway)... So I look at the puzzle and then let my subconscious work on it while I sleep. Then I pop in during the day when I have time, and have (except for today) been frantically typing for the last hour of the puzzle!
lo' Angelsong! Trade you for ch 6/24 and 7/36... There was a great Monty Python sketch: "Rogue Ch*dd**" and the ones you want sound like and are almost spelled like that cheese and its plural
stidmama, have to admit that I've often dreamed of the grid after falling asleep-- closes after I go to sleep-- thinking of words I should have tried...
schwer, my first time I swore I would not submit to the torture of another puzzle. But guess what? Here I am. It only takes a little while to pick up on clues, etc.
ir5? Anyone?
this morning I woke up thinking I needed to find four words starting with sz
Oh, the ch 6 & 7 (plural) are the schools orthodox jewish kids go to, 1 less vowel (& does sound like the cheese)
ir 5 is 2nd ir 4/4 with 2nd vowel at the end
ir 5/10 is ir 4/4 with a vowel at the end
OK, how about ha5/14?
second ch6/24?
ha 5/14: just like na 5/12
thx Cliff and Baron!

sorry, I meant en7.
en6= en + ri4/6
en7= en + ch5/14 (one of them...) like a necklace
Thanks, again guarana
clues for the second ch6/24?

peester, that's a 5, not a 6
evening gang can someone give me a clue for the en 6 and the en 8 tired of monkey typing
Hi sheryl, is this your first time on today
or were you on earlier
en 8 is the past tense of what they do to flour
angelsong, sorry... I just took my printed list out to the recycle bin after typing in... ch you're looking for is ch instead of j like actress on Boston Legal who just quickly married & divorced Denny Crane.. J**** Cassidy
was on at 6 am this morn
just checking out the puzzle she what i was in for tonight
...angelsong, sorry... without my list I'm clueless! lol
ty soni for the clue
Okay, thanks to scatty and peester, I got the last two -- in spite of a migraine trying to come on. I'm going to go rest again, and back for the flip.
wasn't it great out today, spring is in the air
ok lets face it, i'm much better at sudoku than at babble. i love making up words, but none of them count on this one!
Trust me miller, Babble is easier than sudoku.
maybe i'm more of a number person. the number of possibilities on this one is overwhelming!
yah but you'll be learning all kinds of obscure words - amaze all your friends and family.
yeah except my mom plays too. she had the biggest vocabulary before, but now she's unbelievable. that's probably why i do this...mostly just admiration. (i prevail when it comes to sudoku).
my son has always tortured me with numbers. he has an aversion to word games - maybe that's why i like babble.
got to run, but i'll be back to overcome the puzzle. buahahahaha!
Any help with no 5/10. It's my last word. I'll gladly help anyone for a while
Add a vowel to the no4/4 just above no 5/10
Thansk Baron that did it for me. Anyone want any help?

how about yunzguys, youz guys got any local slang?
scatty yw didn't follow your 8:10 clue .....?
Jeffer - the first two leters are ha, now put the vowel next then the first letter, you have a word
jeffer the 4 letter word is only those two letters
ch 6/27 and ch 7/40? I can seem to figure these two out...
scatty -that wont work on mine !
jeffer forget that, im losing my mind, sorry, ha4/5 the first two letters then the first vowel thenthe same letter that ends with what grows on your head
oh do you mean the na, scatty?
does anyone have the in5/10 or the ir 6/21 please??
jeffer my name is becky, short for that is the last letter
scatty now there's a strange thing your complicated second clue worked perfectly ! ty
scatty not the third part though! lol
ha = first vowel = 18th letter of the alphabet thats better
Hiya! oa5/12?
sorry jeffer, i think its time i went to bed, i think my brain is scrambled, i was thinking of a completly different word at one point, you know the ha5 is the plural, don't you
ir 6 add on to the ir 4/4 a word sometimes confused with sarcastic
so6?
Gromit - oa 5/12 row row row your boat what you use to do that past tense.
scatty thanks i got them both, yes i was just as confused at first with my order of those ha 's
{{{Angel}}} I just sat down less than 5 mins ago.
angel so 6 is the past tense of so 4
Thanks faerie! Don't have so6 either, Angel. :(
yw :)
Faerie, I'm down to my last 2 words. not bad, huh?
anyone have any clues for the ch6/27 or the ch7/40?
Excellent - Go Angel, go Angel, go Angel
Hi faeriekae, bye faeriekae, bye Jeffer, i'm off to bed i'm shattered night everyone, see you tomorrow
scatty that so 6 was eluding me too thanks again

yw :)
Done! I made it, Faerie!!!
Hi everyone -- I am regretting starting this grid -- all the lack of sleep if the past few days has decided to come up and smack me tonight :)
{{{{CONGRATULATIONS ANGELSONG}}}} *~*~*~*~*boom *~*~*~*~*
he 5/14 an 7/32 please anyone?
Evenin' all! Just popped in to say hey!
Hi GW and Jen :)
jeffer - for he5/14: think what some do with a soccer ball (using thier noggin) minus the first vowel.
Yes jeffer got the ir 6 thanks... I was in thoughts over the in5/10 and the in4/4.... can you help with these as well?? HI Woulfie!!!!!!
an+ io5/12
jeffer - he - is what you do with a football ( thing that joins your neck), but take the a out of the word
actually gromit, I think you would lose the 2nd vowel, not the first... otherwise it would be an "ha", not an "he"
faerie, check your e mail :)
thanks scatty great! for any from US thats a soccer clue. lol
Angel I've still got a ways to go yet...I got in here much later than expected.
Jen - meant first vowel as in a, e, i ,o, u
jeffer, if you have the an 5/10 add the same letters on that are on the ir6
Hi guys :D Just passing through, updating my handbag. Just archived Jan - Mar in BabAnon. (the list was getting mighty long!)
oh - yeah - brb*
jen ty for the an 7 - very clear
Hi Babbler! Have to say it is so much more civilized here today (as opposed to yesterday)!
good evening everyone
glad to hear it, Gromit! Ella the enchanted one was here earlier, but she soon left! :D
scatty would you send one of your cards?
good evening, Andy : )
yeah, don't know who was worse ella or ilike...
i forgot it was called soccer
Good evening, Andy!
I was on earlier, but didn't have time to actually chat -- plus they gave me a different computer at work with only a 15" monitor! I can barely see the whole grid at one time, let alone see the log!!! So I chose to hunt instead. I have half the words but have seen no sign of either of the 8's -- any help would be appreciated :)
jeffer, what cards
hi GW! ((** GW**)) : )
FYI I contacted Dr. God and she replied that she was not around her PC but would monitor chatroom to "get rid of these idiots"
((**Babbler**))
from your profile - cards you make
how
and a belated ((**faerie**))
scatty - you say football, I say soccer... no matter, my son is a big footballer and an especially big fan of english soccer
What drama did I miss?!? Did we have trolls again? My bad gromit... I figured you were talking off the word itself. :)
scatty e-mail me, i will send you a mailing address jweldonsr@msn.com
im going to have to go, have just seen the time, i have to get up in three hours, woops, are you around tomorrow jeffer
nice one, Andy! : ) (btw, Dr G is a 'he') ; )
Andy - you take such good care of us! [[[[HUGS]]]]]
andy, have there been more idiots?
gromit i just noticed your clue thanks.
* blushes * thanks gromit
am8: has to do with the membrane surrounding a fetus in utero.
Jen - no worries! I'm new to babblespeak.
they were entertaining at first, but one tires of them so fast.
ok babler thanks - I thought "Jamie" is a female name
probably scatty - catch me and i will resend that addr
en8: what you are if you win the lottery. or, a word you see on fortified foods.
your girlfriend was on earlier, nut, but the coast seems to be clear of trolls today ; )
LOL, andy! They're just so annoying and you did a great job scaring ilike away yesterday...
{{pouts}} won't someone tell me of these interesting things that happened while I was tending to my sick son? (did the sympathy entice anyone to talk ;)? )
That's one 8 I better not miss :) Thanks Angel
glad to join de brainy bunch of ya
And that is both of them -- Thanks again (*Angel*)
Jen - propositions, insults, you name it!
you were pretty cool yesterday, Andy : D
ah babs, i missed my girlfriend. bummer - she's always soooo sweet to me
glad to be of help, GW.
I couldn't get to this site at work, but found a simple word jumble, hangman, and word guess. They were a piece of CAKE compared to this!!!
lol nut! oh she was sweet as sugar candy today, lol!! XD
kevin, try eight1 at work
Ah, I see... I got cyber-stalking one day, very scary. But Dr_God is veeeery good about cleaning up the joint!
PLEASE IN 5/10 ANYONE?
KevinE, this is just about the best word game I've ever come across. :D
Hey guys...are our special "friends" out again tonight? Or will I actually get to finish this puzzle tonight...
that's what i love about this. you can play a nice game, talk nice to 'mature' (wink wink) people, and not worry (usually) about any riffraff.
Babbler -- I saw ella was on when I popped in -- how long did she stick it out this time?
hey - i'm back......still at the office though....
hi ren
what's eight-one?
not too long, I think, GW. She went a bit potty-mouthed, but the rest of us were so bored, she went quiet! lol!
jen, how do you get cyber stalked? i've been thinking about cyber stalking rennie here.
ren - you're working at this hour? :-(
two to go - cannot see them ! de 5/12 no 5/12
I am assuming this ella person is one of the offenders... man, I hate it when I miss stuff!
Hi Ren what kind of work do you do??
(( Ren )) hi hun! :D
Ren...what? work...go home! :)
(((**ren**))) --- didn't you once say that your dr suggested this game to destress yourself? How can you do that if you play while working ridiculous hours??
lol nut....i'll get on my dirt bike and come up there and make you go for a ride!!!!
jen, ella just "loved me", all because i told her she needed to go somewhere - anywhere - else.
fyi rennie, dirt bike would be fine, it's roads and other cars the scare the pooh outta me.
nut, I had metioned that my hubby was leaving on business and some troll started talking like he knew where I lived and what he was going to (ahem) "do" to me while hubby was gone... a lot of people e-mailed Jamie on that one. It was actually frightening!
wolfie...i don;t know how it destresses,,but it does..even sitting here in this lonely old office. i guess it'a all of you and not having to talk legalese
jeff - you have no4/5? make it plural (or is there more than on no5/13?)
lucky in 5/10 hard to give a clue for ... in + (three letters from "pane")
de 5/12 plural of one you've already got no 5/12 plural of one there, too
hey ((((hugggggs to all of you!!!)))
now that is scary jen, seriously. i once had a heavy breathing guess what i'm wearing phone call while babysitting.
Jen - and then when we were all speculating as to ella's age she tried to say she was 18 and that we should respect our 'elders' --- that was when I stepped in and told her to stop using words she didn't know the meaning of
Jen, my goodness, I wasn't here for that. So sorry you experienced that, it must have been horrible. The trolls we've had lately have been nothing like that, I'm glad to say.
Angel are you still here?
(((stalks ren)))
jen - yeah "ellaenchanted" is anything but!
ty cobralimes
just don;t chalk me nut!!!!
Evening everyone...
she's just bored, poor thing. too bad we couldn't make a better of her.
evening, elfword : )
howdy elfword
Hi Elfword :)
chalk ren? last halloween party we drew crime scene chalk outlines on the floor of everyone who helped decorate. it was fun!
Eventually as maturity develops she will improve
I'm at 376 so far. Too many vowels in today's puzzle. :-/
could use a clue on an 7/32
yes, faerie, I'm here.
Jeffer thank you for the in 5/10 Now I can leasurely relaxed look for my last 6 words as of ho 5/12 the second...LOL
nut - are you a chalker stalker?
Sheesh, I guess I'm glad I missed all that! And thanks guys! :) A lot of people really made me feel better. Plus, I can get to 2 pistols in about 15 seconds and 5 shot guns in another 1 minute! :)
elfword-you''ll get there...watch the log for clues
hi all, clue for he7/40?
OMG-that is fantastic.....I can't imagine how you did that. And Dylan is adorable. What a cutie.
indeed ren jen, i was shot once...(with a bb)
hey evil
he 7/40 a lusty one
lucky it's a plural that looks like it might be a dutch word? ladies of the night
lol Ren and Nut! "chalker stalker" XD
evilolive Of, relating to, or marked by pleasure.
hi evanonut
i think it;s been over an hour since i said i was leaving here in 30 minutes....8-(
well, gee babs, you wouldn't want me to stalk chalk instead would you? that would be boring.
ren, go home and give mez a big hug, and thumb your nose at work...i'll follow you.
cobralimes not the right ones but ty de 5/12 first one no 5/12 second one please
heh, I like the chalker stalker LOL (nut, not exactly BBs... more like .45's, and I'm a damn good shot)
cobra - an7/32 is like an5/10 above it with "like" ending.
nut keeps me young....i have to think outside the cage when i talk to her...
agreed, nut, v.v.v. boring. Ren's much better. May I join you? ;D
family business nut.....they'd break my thumb....
jeffer, if you take the oxygen out of somthing, you de5 it.
Could anyone give me some hints for 'j' words?
jen, i'm a wicked shot with my .22, some poor bloke comes in here, his little guys are gone. ren has to 'think' outside the cage cause i wont 'let' her out of her cage.
Only one J word tonight, Elf :) to connect
only one j, and it's a common j4 word, meaning "unite"
gromit, bless your heart...that one's been driving me nuts...got it now. 25 to go...arrrgh
elf - only one j word. come jo** in!
ok...going home....bb when i get home and after i take mez to the store...confusing?
elf-just one. you've already jo**ed in the chat (connect/bind together)
babs, you can take shotgun. we'll have to out the lights so she won't see us behind her. got any black clothing?
thanks, I already got it then. But is that the only word that uses that letter anywhere at all? Not necessarily beginning with it?
see ya at home ren!
k...and i'm in black....
ren - I deal with a 2 1/2 year old on a daily basis -- she can be confusion personified at times :) Your statement was clear as crystal to me ;)
elf ri5/20 has a "j" in it.
*snort*!! have I got any black clothing??? (opens wardrobe to reveal two decades of black clothes!!), ok, boss, I'm right behind you..... ; )
There's an ma5 that uses the J... it's an O-4 in the Army or Marines...
cobra - your welcome!
the ri5 that has it is a type of Spanish wine, if that helps...
Sweet, thanks! Up to 477 now..
se6 please?
hi everyone...any clues for ch6/27 or ch7/40?
woulfie, it's a thing you do to call up people from beyond the grave...
hi epsurreal : )
kay babs, we'll rendezvous at the law firm in 5
ne7? Please.....
se6 place to be in touch with your dearly departed
thanks jen
jen it is actually not a Spanish wine but a region where wine is grown (I lived in Spain so I dare say I know a few things about it). You can probably find it in a map, it is northeast Spain close to Catalunya.
wear your sneaky shoes.
*synchronises watch* ;D
lucky a better clue ho 5/12 those who did the ho 4/6 (plural of ho 4/5)
ne7 not wanters
ch6/27 looks sort of like the tart orange cheese, the 7 is plural.
hmmm, i'd better feed the wood burner first, maybe we should chalker stalker tomorrow?
nut, with this outfit?? not on your life! it will be my edwardian boots or nothing! *hands on hips*
hey ep - ch6/27 = like type of cheese - a vowel
ahh...thanks Jen :)
Actually I lived in Spain for 3 years as well. But most people who have not lived there would recognize the word from the Spainish wines in the store.
it's a date, nut! chalker stalker tomorrow! :D
Hi epsurreal -- your icon reminded me of this really twisted site I found in my prowls through cyberspace -- Askaninja.com It is very funny, especially for those who are intrigued by ninja ;D
I call myself Wiccan and I didn't get se6. *smacks forehead*
i lived in Spain too...love that country :)
de 5/12 the first one no 5/12 the second one please
agreed Jen that is why I sent them to dictionary. Donde has vivido? Yo en Madrid.
hehe...i love ninjas, GreyWoulf
cobra - sorry, not following "not wanters"
ninjas are totally sweet
Elf -- don't feel too bad -- I am a Wiccan as well :)
jeffer, did you see my clue for the de5? to take out the stuff we breathe is to de5...
de 5/12 add oxygen
LA -- I think you will totally get a kick out of the site then ;)
there are those who want and then there are those that n**d
gw, you might find this funny: www.realultimatepower.net
babs, stalking is no time for fashion. do as stephanie would do, wear cats
En Rota... cerca Cadiz y Sevilla. (my hubby used to be US Navy)
nut, is that stephanie powers in Hart to Hart?
cobra - sometimes I'm so dense!! Got it.
Jen estuve en Cadiz y en Sevilla,. Vivia en Madrid 1989-1991.
gromit, one good turn deserves another.
jen yes thank you - i DID see it and promptly forgot! your second reminded and penetrated
oa 5/12 anyone?
LA -- ROFLMAO!!!!! just read the first paragraph of the testimonial -- I guess I better make sure I don't drop any spoons :DDD
oa 5/12 past tense of what you do in a rowboat
oa5-rowed, past tense
Can you please help me with the en8? Thanks...!
oa 5/10 sounds like bored
Jeewhiz past tense of en6/24
Andy - oa5/12 is past tense of using oa4/4
leslie - that was hilarity! babs *rolls eyes* no! stephanie plum the bounty hunter, we have to wear cats and jeans and flannels and leave our guns at home in the cookie jar to avoild unsightly bulges.
en8 en plus past tense of extremely wealthy
thansks jeffer, gromit got it 60 to go
en 8 past tense for make more wealthy
Hi Andy, thanks for the clue...but, can you please guide me a little with the e6?
All of you really en**** my life.
Got it. Thanks for the help.
Leslie, that was fantastic!! :' D
ok my clues are waaay to slow.... the middle no 5/12 anyone?
en8--- like fortified bread. andy, I'll halt the Spanish right now, because I know how to order sangria, ask where the bathroom is, and order furniture (yes, I said furniture LOL), but that's my extent. We were there in our 1st tour, way back in 1996. Good times! Love the country!
see, now everyone knows why ninjas are totally sweet. AND, now i know how to kill a ninja <censored>
got ya, nut..... lemme think about my outfit for tomorrow then! (Just as well I can sleep on this....) ; D
i'm having a barry with he 7/40....still can't see it
jeffers - do have no4/5?
ok jen - I was lucky to have a Spanish girlfriend so at one point my Spanish was better than my English LOL Sangria anyone? I do miss that.
you do that, i'm gonna bath, so she can't smell me coming you know.
until tomorrow then
bye eva
I have a question... how many words are in the puzzle
bye eva
he 7/40 someone who overly indulges...usually thought of in terms of ist at the end of the word. (am I being thoroughly vague?)
Andy - I'd love a glass!
168 Ali
Mmmmm, sangria! Like I said, good times. We lived overlooking the Bay of Cadiz and there was a bar ("Bar La Parra") right under us... great when we wanted to party, not so much when we wanted to sleep! lol
he = is living a completely immoral and out-of-control life
gromit ty there's another no 5/12 after that plural
can anyone hellp me out of my misery? ho 5/12 last and ho4/5 last
until tomorrow, nut. *synchronises watch again* ;D
Thanks!
he7 ends like am8
we can have a virtual drink LOL but a proper sangria takes 8-12 hours to make as you want the fruit to soak the alcohol
y/w Ali
Andy, did you go pro when I wasn't paying attention?
Howdy all - been trying to decide if I want to yak or not
ho 5/12 **** thy mother and father
ho 5/12 two of them use anagram of the things we listen with
Best and most authentic recipe I can come up with: 1 litre cheap red wine, chilled; 1/4C sugar disolved in 1C brandy or orange liqueur; top with a touch of soda water... don't attempt to drive home!
thanks everyone
yes Jen - especially when in Spain the evening starts at 2300 or so - drinks - dinner - more drinks
hoot-you know you want too! :)
howdy hootowl : ) .... yak !
ho 4/5 is up your nose with a rubber ****
Hi hoot!!! ((*HUG*))
Andy - what kind of fruit do you like best in your Sangria?
LOL cobra! (and I forgot the fruit for the sangria... apples, oranges, limes, whatever!)
Babbler -- you know hoot is my mom, right?
jen we always used peaches, oranges, apricots etc to soak in red wine for 8-12 hours, then add either soda or a fruit juice and top off wiht 4 different hard liquors - vodka, brandy, whisky - whatever
Hi Kris - missed you last night.
no, GW, I didn't!! :D Hi again, hootowl!! :D
I'm lost...25 to go and can't see nada
now let me go back to puzzle still 55 to go
Hi woulf - babbler
mmm... I like it with cherries and plums. Hard liquor too??
optional gromit but fun :-)
Cobra -- that's cos nada isn't in the grid today ;D
w00t, 700.
Sangria with LIMES!
We always used peaches. No hard stuff and no sugar. Think you do it to taste.
ElfWord is on a roll!! good going!! :D
good call cobra
hiya Hoot! I was on for a bit yesterday but actually ended up w/ company and didn't finish...love company, hate not finishing!
yes hoot the hard liquor is only a tiny trace (say 1 shot per 2 litres of sangria)
Back from 24 land - Jack saves the day again. Only 4 to go, al na's help! (last 4 na's)
BRB - being challenged to a ping-pong duel
good luck gromit
Company does have a habit of showing up at just the wrong time!
The recipe I got from the bar downstairs used a lot of hard stuff, but you can do it to taste... it really makes it better, IMO
any clues on en7?
Ping-pong, fun times. I'm lucky to have a best friend with a ping-pong table in his basement. Speny many a late-night/early-morning there.
en7: en + 1st ch5
lucky did you see 9:21 and the 0:08 clues?
Well I may have been lucky on the likker cause I'm allergic to some and I would not be expecting it in Sangria
thanks again jen:)
HAven't played ping-pong in YEARS!! Was actually USTTA rated at one point -- about 20 years in the past :\
YW eps... I just noticed you lived in Spain too!! Where?
Good grief woulf - where does that leave me? I never went over 1000 though.
jen, I lived in barcelona for a little while, and also elche and zaragoza.
the middle no 5/12 anyone ?
well, you all are killing me because I have no idea how to even score ping pong
Well, neither did I, Mom -- but I felt like sharing :D
1 2 3 4 :D
middle no5: take the no4 (seaweed) and add A vowel.
kristi -- to tell the truth -- from what I understand they streamlined the game and changed the rules some, so neither do I at this point
Last time I saw it on TV they were playing 11 pt games! Not even time to warm up. Not long ago...
GW-blast...I hate "progress" --means you have to pay more attention
middle no 5/12 - take the 4th 4/4 (another word for nada) add 1st letter of my name before the last vowel.
Usually means They progress to more money and You progress to poorer faster
I hate when the rules get changed just so the rankings can get shaken up --- all because the sponsors are afraid people will get bored if the same people keep winning over and over
Does anyone know what that ch 7/36 means? Dictionary.com doesn't know.
ni5? I have the fish ready...
oh, if anything, changing the rules would make me watch less b/c I wouldn't know what was going on.
I think I am going to head off to bed... anyone need anything before I go?
the first is an opening in a wall where you might put a statue secon is ni +no4/4 - last letter
woulfie, there is an ni5... a little nook in a corner or in a wall...
Any clues for the 2 na 5/10's
Here's the ultimate puzzle .... three words to go accorcing to stats panel but only two on the list!!! what'sup????
i hate vowels! ae 7, 6?
sorry, I meant the 2nd one -- had the statue display area -- and am glad it wasn't an obvious one -- I hate the smell of fish :)
1st na5/10 means a nostril, but it looks like female horses with a dif. 1st letter
me too...I need the second ni5!
hoot, if you google it, you'll see a full definition, but briefly the ch7 has to do with nostrils. : )
lucky, i seem to have the same prob
cliff -- 1st na5/10 -- nasal cavities -- rare word that looks like a plural but isn't
2nd na5/10, take the 1st one I gave and change the last vowel to the one that means "me"
BJ's list is complete... sometimes MrP's list has a missing word...
jen - wonderful clues
Sometimes words vanish from the list when it's been accepted and once I found more words than I thought I had. Have to do a kine by line check to find them. Hope you keep a list.
cliffopa its nice to know we go insane together LOL According to my list I only need ho 5/12 (the last one) and ho 4/5 the last one right after that ho 5/12 above can you help out?
aw shucks cliffopa, t'were nothin'! :) And I'm off to bed for real now. Nighty night all!
G'night Jen (*Hug*)
Nite Jen!
ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 12 ho 6/ 21 ho 4/ 6 ho 4/ 6 ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 12 ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 12 ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 12 ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 14 ho 6/ 21
is am 8 related to the 6?
yes
goodnight Jen!
am8 is related
buenas noches Jen
lucky ho 4/5 you need means to sharpen last ho 5/12 is something you say in wedding vows "to love and ho***"
yes - use ae 6 ending
haha, got it. get too frustrated after -er, es, ed didn't work. anyone have the big ae 6 and 7?? *puppy dog eyes*
how'd we do on the ni5/10?
hi everyone
ae6 is similar to a very long time
hoot clued it, kristi -- at 9:36
see my post at 9:36 Kris
ae4 is the shortened version
aha, have the ae 6, working on the 7
okay, I'll go find it...multitasking is the death of me! a belated thanks to hoot!
time for me to go too. nite all, see you tomorrow! : )
nite babbler
nite babbler - nice to meet you
Hi all, great clues in the log, got to clean up those last 40 words!
So long, Babbler ((**Hug**))
aa 5/14 anyone?
good nite babbler
Sleep well babs!
what you say at the doctors office (past tense)
silly girl Now after all that talk about Sangria - I am savoring a bottle of Paulaner Salvator - a delicious double Bock!
aa + whats on your neck minus a vowel
hello all! Looks like a doable one!
aa 5/14 something like the past tense of oohing
Hey aandy :-) sound they made when they saw the cute baby...
it's tricky, mr. p
hi stidmama - are you done today? thanks - I think I know but don't have it yet
hi all
Hey MrP!
hey cash
Yes, finished several hours ago, but not up to my usual, I'm fighting off a migraine today. Fortunately, a merely annoying one, not the totally disabling kind. How are you?
kristinc...!! how is baby blossom going??
hi ca$h . . .
I am ok stidmama - fighting with the grid - wife sicjk with flu so I am in charge of kids - have to install a new computer game for my youngest one (4) and then am back to fight the grid
MrP-fairly well. We're taking our last baby-free vacation to Mexico next week...can't wait! Thanks for asking.
Yeesh! Just as I congratualate myself on clearing a letter with a lot of words attached to it, I come to another one --- up to the H's ;\
Hey mrp, stidmama, and anyone else I haven't greeted yet (*Hugs to all who want one*)
is everyone done? i'm only up to 115.
I'm back! Son kicked my bu4/4 at ping-pong.
i'm at 111, cash, so you're ahead of me
46 to go here, ca$h
does anybody know how BJ gets the word list? just wondering.
GW???
36 here
hey grey! good to see you!
41 to go!
one to go but scouring my list - thought i had them all
try refreshing, cliff... maybe a computer glitch
He has a program that mines the grid as soon as it is generated -- then he has another algorithm that mines that list for the stats we have all come to know and love
Smeltzdog?????
GW, that is impressive. he must be some math wiz or something.
my dog smells
mine don't i gave them a bath LOL
Smeltz!!! How's it going??? ((**Hug**)) Everyone told me you have been around, but my new job doesn't give me the freedom to Babble like I used to :)
I'm in the same boat. I've been working between 65-70 hours. Combine that with a pregnant Mrs. Dog and you have a busy man.
Wow -- 65- 70 hour days?! And a baby on the way :) I salute you sir, I don't know how you can pull it off
oops -- I meant weeks!
shorty, my dog goes for a bath every 4 weeks but the nice smell never lasts long - especially when it snows! or rains!
my little dog is mad at me I shaved him AND gave him a bath so hes very upset with me and wont come near me
I'm giving up the stats do not match my list on the ho's Hootowl thanks for pasting it on the log I have the ho** thy father and thy mother checked a2z several times HELP
Everyone was telling me you were looking for me, so I have been watching for you -- Glad we finally intersected :) Of course, you could have emailed me-- address is in my bio :D

lucky, i'll help with any ho's while i'm trying to solve for my missing na.
I had stopped in a few times to see if you or mama were in here. Each time I was here, you had just stepped out. What's kept you so busy these days?

Well GW, I sent you an email. I have to get some sleep as well... I tell you what though, you leave this place for a while and you're the stranger. I don't even know anyone any more!
smeltz, there's some new folks due to links on a few popular blogs... but don't worry, they don't bite (most of the time)
then there's some of us oldies too!
andy, sorry I disappeared, phone call and then putting the teen to bed. He's got the flu that the younger child and I had last week :-( it just lays a person out for a few days.
Smeltz -- we have also had a major influx of new addic... Imean players in just the past week or so -- I haven't had a chance to get to know many of them either!
You can blame me on woulf!
i am one of those new addicts.. from a blog too!
Back in the day I could open the 'cuzzi and offer a drink and there wasn't a taker...Now it seems I am a dirty old man.
But there will only ever be the one and only Smeltzdog! Go get your sleep -- I am going to turn in very soon myself -- 6 AM comes very quickly when you have to break your sleep to feed the baby ;)
Smeltzdog, I'll introduce myself, as one of the newbies... Been here about a week, housemom to a teen and an almost-teen; I used to think I was an under-achieving pretty smart gal -- then I started playing this and think maybe I'm an overachieving moron!
oh, there's lots of cuzzi takers still around, speaking of that, we haven't jumped in in a while...mama not here quite as much!
That does not compute! And I'm drinking a Paulaner Salvator as we speak!
any help with the in ? The two that are not units of measurement
i'm new, found babble through university techno guy. now addicted beyond all hope. don't bite tho.
Don't think I'm going to make it past 832 tonight...
clif...but your dog smells! :)
Smeltz -- let me introduce you to hootowl personally -- she's my mom :D Smeltz, hoot hoot, Smeltz
oh stidmama, that's not true... you're not an overachiever
just kidding! ;)
The definition of the in 4 is "A small, usually ornamented box that is hung from the waist sash of a Japanese kimono" and it's in + *** your boat down the stream - w
I meant to say everyone was a taker...it was relatively clean...These days, everyone disrobes before jumping in the cuzzi
do you think dogs know when they smell? i mean, they're smart, right?
ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 12 ho 6/ 21 ho 4/ 6 ho 4/ 6 ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 12 ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 12 THIS ONE I'M MISSING AND ALSO A H6 WORD ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 12 ho 4/ 5 ho 5/ 14 ho 6/ 21

ch 6/24 and the 7/36? Anyone? Thanks!
Yeah, well, we have become a bit rowdier as we get to know each other better ;)
smeltz, no one else would have to disrobe if every time you got in the water your buns didn't melt off!
LeslieAnn, you are so good for keeping my hat from getting too tight! :-)
why do you have to bring stinky dogs into this?
I think they think they smell good.
thanks! got it.
Well, I have been playing since Aug. '05, but I don't chat very often. Nice to see y'all again. ;-)
that's true, krisitn, they do like the smell of butts
lucky, ever see a movie called ***** the Barbarian with Arnie? the ho word rhymes with the Barbarian's first name.
My dogs don't smell good... they smell a lot! Or were we talking about canine companions?

Happy to meet you Smeltz. Thank you

whoops last you in the excitement, gw: eo 6 - a long time + third vowel + first vowel + third letter again
nevermind
what we breathe + single hump letter
ai: think scottish for baby, "a wee little b****"
eo + 14th + me (different) + short for anne
ai clue: What you breath + a letter makes a word that sounds like earn.
Thank you all -- sounds like another name for a time traveler ;D

any clues for first an4/4? (I can't believe I can't find it!)
i will take the ch 6.24, 7.36 if anyone is willing :)
both ch7's are plurals of the ch6's so if you don't habve them it is of no use letme know which one you want to start with
guar, an + 4th vowel + 1st vowel
ch 4/5 to speek thru internet (change last letter to vowel) ch 6/27 sounds like word for american cheese fabric made ch 7/40 is its plural
ch6/24-ch+vowel + ban*** (the ending of this type of fruit) ch 7/36-add an e to the end
d'oh, thanks LeslieAnn
reposting the recdent clue for ch6/24 ch + round vowel + female name (short version) ch7/36 add E (and sorry for my previous claim it was a plural - I tried to say they were erlated but did not quite got it)
andy -- I usually short hand my queries by asking for the longer cos there is always some one who says if you have the Y then drop the s to get the X :)
ok gw good to know still got 30
thanks andy, kristin; yw guar
y/w
ch's I have: something you sit on something you put on tires int he winter past tense of a synonym to option past tense of sun***** with no e at the end and a c instead of an s sounds like a type of orange cheese, but missing letters
ch 6/24 (first) not a rope but a ch*** + vowel ch 6/24 (last) ch 4/6 swap letters + na
Sorry - I got one of those assinine messages that explorer had encountered an error and had to reboot!

Lucky my geography is better than my clueing. I know where it is and stand by what I said before. It rained here today too but not for long. The BF is a meteorologist and we laugh at the reports in the paper and on TV.
If you shout into a canyon you will hear not one, but many *****. There is no 'e' in this version.
hootowl, did you know that you can click on the "pros" name in the bar (when they display a flag and often a purse) to see more information about them?

Andy straight plural of original word
LeslieAnn Wageningen is about 45 minutes drive from my home I am in the middle of Holland about 20 min drive from Amsterdam in Blaricum a small village but very nice!

Thanks stid! You brought me to 1233!
I'M not going. Just saying g'night to those that are.:)
re 5/12's: -The plural of a second try... -re + fake grass
re 4/5 makes two 5/12s by adding a letter
Finished!!!
thanx, elf...
yay reb!
Congrats rebekb
Thank you -- and thanks for the help
YW Elf. chic re 5/12: try the color re* + latin for bone
Hi Chic - when did you sneak in?
YAY Rebekb!
Hi everybody! Have 2 left , HELP please ch 6/24 ch7/36
BTW, latin for"bone" is the fourth vowel + recurvy consonant
ch6/24 - ch, round leter, woman's name (short)
ch7/36 - same, just add 2nd vowel at end
leep, those ch have something to do with fish ea 4/4 the woman's name is a common (in the US) feminine form for John
Any ar words longer than 5 letters?
No Elf, 5 is the max for ar
Hows about "do"- longer than 5?
clue for se 6/21....
hoot, since you're still around, is BF your spouse's initials?
No elf - don't you have a word list? Check Bab Anon.
do, also max 5
se 6/21 - a halloween activity sometimes Speak with those no longer living.
Rebek, stidma THANKS! I'm done, done, done. :)
se6/21 - to summon ghosts, you hold a se****
No - just boy friend. A late in life surprise after 20 years divorced from his father.
se 6/21 is the first one my spouse saw last night. When a medium/spirit channeler holds an evening get-together. Think crystal ball and spirits talking in the background.
YAY leep!
Don't forget table rapping :)
thanx, elf, stid and hoot...
Congrats leep!!!
hip, hip, hooray for chic, leep and whoever else has finished!
hootowl, my step-grandfather is happy again with a lovely person two years after my grandmother died... I struggle with how to introduce them. "Hi folks, this is my late grandmother's common-law husband and his new 'roommate'?" I love them dearly, just explaining relationships is hard. Especially since he is also a distant cousin from my other parent's side of the family!
YAY chic!
Any words that end in "ee"?
ha 4/5...I have the ha vowel s one and the first one...
yes, a do 5
still have 4 to go....
Thanks stid!
did you get the ha on top of your head?
stid, my mom and bf have been living together about 6 years, I think... I just say, "my mom's boyfriend" even though it seems much more than that
chic -ha4/5 - what grows on your head
chic, it covers most people's heads.
Just celebrating in advance. What else do you need?
I feel for you stid - have you tried just saying this is my grand father and his wife? Most people Probably won't care about the permutations.
Any 8 letter words besides the am and the en?
nope, elf
what chic - what????
For most people, that is exactly what I do! But then there are some who deserve to know -- who are close enough to me (in-laws etc) to merit more explanation.
ri 5/20
6 minutes left, and all i have to go are the last 2 en's... they must be RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME..... AAUGH! (help)
7 letters besides the ch and the ec?
Well I'd make the intro and add the details later. Simpler I think.
on those EN words... think of EN as a prefix
grigs, flour and cereals are en + ri 4/6 + past tense
en + not poor but **** and past tense
chic - first word of --- de janiero plus first 2 letters of asian country --pan
Only two en's I have are to make someone the opposite of poor, and what you are once someone has done that.
en +ri 4/6 then past tense
ri 5/20 wine
stidmama, you are my hero for ever and ever and at least the next 4 minutes.... i love you, will you marry me?
en + ch 5/14
(i love the rest of you too, i swear)
ri 5/20 turns out to be a red spanish wine re + third vowel and following consonant + first vowel
on of the en's is en+ch5/14 past tense
sorry grigs, happily encumbered, but flattered nonetheless...
never mind my clue, I'm confused
Done, whew! that was close! thanx, all for your help!!!
yay chic!
So now I can celebrate? ****YAY CHIC****
Yippee chic and grigs!!!!
Oh he's fickle - everyones his hero for 2 min. But he never asked anyone to marry him that I know of...
ri 5/20 spanish river + german yes
chic, let's do a victory dance together... strike up the band, somebody!
grigs you're done too? congrats!
thanx, guys... cute cats leslieann!!
Finishing at 1317. Thanks for everyone's help!
ok, me and my fish are going to bed. alone. <*)))><
Nuts I congrated chic before and it was a false alarm. Congrats fickle grigs. :):):D
