Morning all

volley, I have RA too and take plaquenil

RE8
it may react with the methotrexate... Is rhumatoid Arth. considered an auto-immune disorder?
plaquenil stopped working for me; so they upped methotrexate and took me off plaquenil, and I have done better
st7 X 2
yes
hello Babblers :)
re z

re 7
well, you should definitely ask your doctor... there is some concern that melatonin can stimulate the Immune system, thus worsening autoimmune disorders
I will check; will be interesting to find out
I'm lucky that plaquenil is still working -- was on predisone for years but gradually dropped it and am still ok. Was on methotrexate for a while after cancer surgery and a flare-up, but dropped that too.
how long have you had it jil?
Clues are up!
wow, that was fast lickety
yippee for Lickety!
nice size grid today!
thank you, thank you, thank you
fe 7
Evening all - I though reindeer was in the grid for a minutes
te 7
thanks likcety - and great new stats!!! hello babblers!!
te 7 x 2
ah yes stid
fe 7 = related to iron
volley -- had to look it up -- diagnosed 1994
thnx stid

my symptoms started in 94, but not correctly diagnosed til fall 1996
is it under control, volley? Mine is
morning all
hello ruthy! how's the weather in your neck of the woods?
not in remission, but relatively controlled; I have to rest, can't do some things I did before, but I am thankful I am mobile and not taking gold shots etc...
te7 x 6
thnx stid...found that 3rd one finally!
LOL MRP
6???!!!
or maybe one of the ones I don't have already, Dispatch! LOL
re8
and they all have the same point value!!
stidmama its dry for a change but still windy
a goal...a mission...thanks mrp
scary enough, most of the 7 letter words have the same point value!
It's calm and not raining here at the moment, but it's soggy and the winds are supposed to gust up past 60mph again tomorrow afternoon/evening.
you have the wind too, huh stid? I HATE wind
yep firefly -- power was out between four and five hours this afternoon, glad it
glad it's back tonight...
volley, when I have trouble sleeping I take an extra strength acetaminophen (generic Tylenol). My GP advised not to wait until it really hurts -- take it at the first twinges -- and it was good advice.
Are you in Seattle?
hi, friends - i catch a cab to hospital in about 3 hours - staying up 'til then.
south sound, itzie, you?
stid - our power went out too, but it was just a blown fuse from the microwave/christmas tree lights/porch light/kitchen lights x2...lol
li 8
melon -- are you okay? why hospital? shall I put you on my "list"?
Seattle - Ballard. :)
hi stid -- we had sheets of rain today and huge winds but as you say it's calm now...
ROFL firefly! I do that too! TV, halogen lamp in livingroom, computer and vacuum do NOT play well together!
stid -- melon had a preventative hysterectomy this morning
melon - wishing you all the best for a fast and easy recovery! you'll be in my thoughts and prayers
I bet it was pretty gusty up in Swedeville, itzie! did you have to go out? I did, twice!
i'm having a prophylactic hysterectomy/salpingectomy/oophorectom y - a whole lotta ectomy, or TAH/BSO for short, due to family history.
oh melon {{gentle hugs}} you're on my list.
nope not yet jilli - but in a few hours.
{{{melon}}}, my list too
{{}back at you, stid}}
will you be able to babble from the hospital?
Good Luck melon - will be thinking of your through the day
melon -- apologies -- I thought you had alreaqdy had the surgery
*asking because sometimes people do*
*you
wow, winds are sure howling now!
Yeah, I had to go out and ride the bus (and wait for the bus) in this weather too
flosey -- not howling here yet!!!
melon,wishing you well and a quick recovery..lol
stid, it will be a different kind of babbling (lots of drugs) ;)
icky weather for bus riding... hm. from what Jill and flosey are saying, sounds like it's heading our way again itzie! *duck and cover* quack quack
just seemed to come up suddenly
*perks up at mention of drugs* does that include chocolate? :-)
-well i need to straighten my kitchen - i stopped yesterday to color my hair (fear of frowsiness while home) - i'll check in in a bit.
darn wind kept me up most the night, and did wonders for my hair whilst shopping this afternoon...had to switch to glasses too, as contacts would've been awful!
i hope chocolate!
((((((melon)))))))))
melon, when I had abdominal surgery under general anesthesiathey gave me an epidural to my surprise for the recovery -- big help!
It is very windy here also.
am having discussions with older child these days about what constitutes a 'drug' and explained that for some people, chocoalte and coffee count...
okay melon, I'll probably be asleep soon, so know that I will hold you in my heart all day tomorrow.
what a lousy time of year to be having surgery! --- oh well, you won't be able to lift anything heavy for a while so someone else will have to lift the bird out of the oven, make the beds, take out the garbage, do the laundry....
how soon after could you walk, jilli? i had an epidural for my C sect - had no feeling - or was yours epidural morphine?
don't worry melon -- they'll have you walking the halls within 24 hours.
They made me walk almost as soon as I woke up, as I remember, melon!
actually cybernan, i planned it the week b4 my son goes to his dad's for winter break (down the street & a world away) - so he'll help me that week - then by the time school starts up again i might be driving. also, snce i'm a bicycling fiend, i planned winter surgery - obviously! :)
I don't know what drug the epicural was
I had an epidural for my hysterectomy -- have a very bad reaction to most anesthetics.
probably morphine - had it been lidocaine you would have had no feeling waist down, and probably couldn't move.
finally found an re 7
and an re 8...
it's what flosey and Jill are! LOL
{brief poof}
still missing one of the te 7's
still missing two of the te 7s...
oooh stid!!! regurgitatable? revanchists?
cybernan clue? or is it too early
stid, do you have the dog?
rememberers?
OLD Jill! *grin* or at least what most "mature" people are...
yes metal, I do have that one! thanks. do you have the "more camping shelter like?"
I do now, thanks to you
I am past halfway, btw...
te7 - one is even smaller than small
firefly, you're a doll!
ty firefly
that means I need one more te 7 *frowns and looks at grid*
why thank you *curtsies*
anyone object if I clue the li 8?
I've barely glanced at the grid but i don't see a v for the dog or an e beside the d but an ominous number of re's
*looks to see if Jill figured out that mature people are no longer employed for money...*
of course not, nan! *listens eagerly*
i already have it..but i don't object
li 8: one who drops garbage all over the place
not before one o'clock, is that not the unknown unwritten down rule!
what a hypocrite!
that's why I asked, cy :)
i was thinking the same thing cyborg as all the clues were coming in and no one said a word
stid, I thought I had the word but there was no e near the d -- but now I think I've got it -- by George, I've got it! Thanks!
thank you Nan! :-)
i technically already clued a minute or so before...
yw Jill!
for one of the te7
retirees
oh...not the hypocrite statement...she's not a hypocrite cybor
eek!!! sorry!
cyborg, who told you that rule?
why MrP - you're looking lovely today!
ROFL Jill! now THAT'S a *clue* *giggle, chortle, snort*
mrp...cyborg got chewed out last night for cluing a 9 before one hour had past
If people really don't want clues, they can hide the chat log... that's what I do when I want to work "alone"
chat log can be closed down
i'll always think that "fest" should be an accepted word...
I am sorry you were scolded, cyborg.
indeed, tis the season of festivus for the restofus
me too, firefly! and I keep trying it over and over and over... I'm like a little energizer bunny when it comes to those words!
NO rules and No fear!
firefly, I keep trying that too, hoping if I persist it will suddenly become acceptable
I love to clue! I always screw it up, but it makes for fun!! don't fret cyborg... there is no babble queen!
you said it chic!
glad to see i'm not alone then ;)
lol, The GReat Leigh!
re8 for those in later life who do not work anymore
yes there is, I just don't use the royal We all that often ;o)

Hi ya Helen!
LOL metal!

wow, really cyborg? that's amazing!
Good gracious Cyborg - i havent even focused yet great stuff
hooray Cyborg!
thx all, feels good!
hi have the fe7/40...could i have the point value for the other fe 7 please?
well, I suppose it makes sense -- "cyborg" and all that -- like Data from StarTrek?
2 * 7/40
same same dispatch... all three
cyborg has more of a Borg feel, than a Data feel - more like a Terminator feel
yuck...i was afraid of that...eeks 3??? do they have to do with iron?
oops 3x fe7/40
at least one fe 7 has to do with evergreen foliage, Dispatch
can clue that one if you like...
okay...just the evergreen one please
one's a "weasel"
and one of the fe 7 is the mink-like pet
one fe7/40 is a long thin animal
nm..got it as soon as i looked
the evergreen one is the plant that is frondy, likes mostly shady
and I can tell from the way that clue reads that I am done for tonight. I got to 54 words left, not bad for how tired I feel!
good night all, see you tomorrow!
oh my...i had the singular not the plural of the pet..ty
good night, stiddy!
night stid
nite stid
sleep thight stid......
"ae" words might look nice, but they're a bear to remember to find!
how many ae? i only have 1 so far
i have three ae so far, not sure if that's it or if there's more
i imagine that's it - the 4th word on the a is an4
time to retire.................good clue
Lickety says there are 3 ae words
oh good, then i'll stop looking!
thanks jilli
i am losing all track of time & of what i'm doing, was here at the flip, but haven't even started - got up to make tea, then changed laundry while waiting for tea, then washed off some outside summer decorations (yep, i'm way behind) - okay, ready to start babbling now - wait, isn't that what i've just been doing? :)
hey helen! babble away, either way :)
LOL, helen!
hi helen -- I've been gabbling and not babbling so I have 12 words
ae = 3 words 4&5&6
cya
bye hodag and ty cyborg

AE4 A + ages
out of 4's and 8's
dispatch -- ages and ages
ae4/4 very long time
sometimes those box ones are the hardest for me to see!!!!!!!
thank you all for the clues

i agree firefly
right, drb--regularer
lol drbernado!!
irony--its not just for babble anymore
DR B - you always have a cryptic clue, don't you? :)
LOL DrB!
its my niche
plus math is not my strong point and I mess up **** all the time
i like your niche - stick with it
made me laugh drb!!
i'm going to bed all - 51 left to find tomorrow
yes'm
Preceding with an S would bring comfort
good nite firefly
nite firefly
7 am here, so just got up !
nite firefly
Morning everyone, does someone have an on7 they care to share?
good night firefly
hello cyborg :)
Hi MRP!
just read up the chat log from yesterday! thank you
I was heckled lol
on 7: take the most over sexed guy in the group and kick the H out of him
the on 7 is the number + the comparative ending, veda
I like cyborg's clues
they are very good!
mrp - yes, great melodrama, soon to be made into a full length motion picture
but I'm too sleepy now to take anything in or see the grid so goodnight all!
heckle shmeckle! the finger pointing crap has to stop and you and babblerabble did a good job pointing (pun intended) that out
I like DRBERNABO's clues lol
good night jilli - sweet dreams
nite jill!
DrB, great clue indeed! LOL :)
tyvm
helen, I wanna be in the movie!!!
I like the clue, but my brain isn't cooperating D:
nvm, got it
helen, me too. Just 'draw' me bad!
draw me bad too! :))
lol chic!
i liked the clue..but i didn't get it! *blushing*
dispatch, the 'most' is what was confusing me, think 'more'
catching up with the chat...mrp...it was absolutely absurd how that whole thing got started last night!
neither did i !
on - the first number... then intensify it!
good morning all
i got it with mira's clue...thanks mrp
i think i was obsessing over the statement about the most oversexed guy in the group...couldn't get past the thought...sorry
Hello all. I understand that the people that have been here a LONG time like to have things done the way that they are used to. I have tried to fit in and not upset anyone. However, they need to be a little understanding that their way is not the only way.I don't ask for clues early on, but appreciate it when one comes my way. You newer people were correect. If they don't like the clues, just don't look in the chat for awhile. The only way that Babble will keep on, is with new people paying their fee and getting into the game. They shouldn't be chased off because they do things a little different.
dispatch, I found the who thing stupid cause of decided remarks to the newbies clueing!! They are in their right to chat and clue... there is no rule about waiting one hour or just clueing the first two letters... what a load of rubbish! Play and enjoy the chat and company!
yeah, mkl, well said!
here here mkl
totally agree!!!
here here mkl!
ditto
I was lurking last night; I think the issue mostly came up not because cyborg was clueing, but because no one was asking for the clues
Thank you. I shall now resume pulling my hair out over this stupid game.
how many words today?
135
actually nan and hurshy are pretty good about clueing and are usually so helpful. i think it was the whole thing about cyborg "calling" a word that was called a few minutes earlier
do they put up puzzles with 13 letter words?
ty
indeed mkl, I agree and tks mrp
I've never seen one, but I've only been here a couple months.
they had one 12 in the past apparently: cogeneration
got to go, bbl!
it's just that last nite was not the first time that has happened; mrp herself has been slammed for giving early clues with out any one asking.
as someone who don't really chat i do watch the log for clues on and off.I have been playing for almost a year and enjoy the game and the log.
That was a song by the Who, "Talkin' 'bout cogeneration"
not to keep this going...but...cyborg "called 3 or 4 (?) words in a row. Nan had called a couple of those earlier. i think she was putting cyborg in his/her (?) place that she got them first. that's how i took it that it started
I was not looking at the log when I clued, I was looking at the puzzle, so I did not see it, but it was not a big issue, as the slug said to the snail
feh. chat is a babble innovation I'm still not comfortable with.
actually cybor...you clued a 7 and an 8...an extention of a 7 that nan clued moments before. i don't think she realized that.
I have no idea how it started. I came in the middle of it. Let's not start it again. And in that spirit>>>>>>>Does anyone have either of the 8's?
Fogies unite against chat altogether.
Finito!
DrB - tell me about the oversexed guy again please
i love the chat! without it i wouldn't get the laughs when the grid is hiding it's words from me!
wtg Vedaman
zoinks. congrats V
Vedaman - do you know about the oversexed guy?? for the on
The 'not asking for clues' was not the issue... it had to do with opening the mouth and not thinking about the consequences and other peoples feelings or experiences
that was quick, you just logged in Veda! WTG!
the 0n 7 sounds like the more oversexed of two guys if you kick the H out (or off) of him
yes mkl...li 8...add to the 5 then to the 6 to get the 8
mkl -- I have one 8 --- people who reach the age they no longer have to work.
aaah i get it - ty
not all that quick Cyborg, I was working on it for a while before I asked for the clue
i get it - but cant find it
ty
the other 8 is an li
nice clue kk, tks
ursh, you need to swap a few letters around
ursh...what can't you find?
on + great lake + con
lDispatch --need help with the li 5?
LI8/40 all those smokers who drop their butts all over the place
tx DrB sorry to be so slow and ty Dispatch i found the on7
a 2 li*** bottle of Pepsi
Thanks
add a con to the middle for the 6
then see cyborg clue for the 8
if i may go back to an earlier statement...mrp...who is the "they" who come up with these grids?
Dispatch the creator of Babble Dr God has a program he wrote(?) that comes up with the grids.
and how does lickety get the clues up so fast? is he Dr. God??????
Ka Blaaam Fireworks
No lIckety is no Dr G but he has a program (I'm not sure if he created it himself) (he's a programmer) that spits out the clues every day.
great for you khan!
WTG Khan
wd khan!
this game IS addictive
wow...thank goodness for brainiacs that write programs!!!!
*F*I*E*R*I
fireworks i meanty
lickety did create it himself... and he does it for you all (and because he couldn't stand me playing for the whole day and night)... eh doesn't even play LOL!
God bless Lickety
*F*I*R*E*W*O*R*K*S for me
what a sweet guy
long live lickety, hip, hip, hooray!
hiya all
wd hannah
yay hannah!
how can he not play????? high five to lickety for his devotion to you (and to us!)
hi hannah
thanx mrpresident and helen
whoohoo for hannah
hiya flosey u ok
?
thanx dispatch
for sure thanks hannah - baked cookies all day today - as well as doing this puzzle in between
cyborg, are you still here?
on a good day, he can spell his name! :)) he much prefers stats and making people happy with his quirky humour
Am I spelling it wrong? Isn't a ferrier a person who shoes horses?
it has an a after the F
aha
that's what I thought too, mkl!
that is a farrier
can someone clue ANY of the fe7,40?
All I have is the ist one
fe 7...plural of the fe6...long, smelly pet
you have the plant one, go for one resembling a weasel
fe 7/40 animal of the weasel family.
fe7 - a frond type of plant that likes shade, and more so
then try one related to iron, (think the chemical symbol for iron and build from that)
OMG. I spent quite a bit of time looking for the pet. Thought it had to be there. Almost put it up as a phantom
Metal. Got the idea, but I can't quite wrap my mind around your fe7 clue.
fi7 ?
ursh... try more burning, more flamey
nods to mkl...
tx metal - round and round i went
hmmm, try this: fe+ consonant + ri4/4
yvw
ty :-)
;o)
yes dispatch, back now
may i ask a personal question?
yikes, easy one today - good luck all
Ot oh!
hi mitch
fireworks!!! may I help anyone with a few
yayyy Dee
great job dee!
cyborg...are you male or female?
ty all
Male ... wonder what the female equivalent is of Cyborg lol
Yes please Volley. The last two re7,28?
so, i've got to ask this question - why does everyone like the lickety clues so much?
okay...so i didn't realize there was a gender identity to your name
okay...so i didn't realize there was a gender identity to your name
okay...so i didn't realize there was a gender identity to your name
okay...so i didn't realize there was a gender identity to your name
I have 4 re 7's
I have 4 re 7's
re7 - someone who goes to bed (or stops working).
sorry for the repostings..computer froze
I have 4 re 7's
the first is the re 4/4 with a 3 letter suffix
DIS - exactly, I do not think there is lol
for the other 3 think about what folks do when they are 65 and move to Florida; then add different last consonants
the clues are really just the alphabetical first two leter stats of each word in the grid. when you're stuck...it helps to find words you need between the words you have
the 4th one is the actual person who moves to the nice place at 65
where are you from?
thanks Volley
UK
you are welcome
so. just as a question - why is it that everyone loves the lickety clues so much?
thanks cyborg...i just like to picture who's playing...and without your bio, you were a mystery
because I can't go to sleep til I see fireworks, and the challenge is sometimes too tough without the clues
mitch...i just told you why i like it at 2:02
mitch, I just find them helpful when my brain has quit finding words..
I like them because they give me a resource to which to turn, one which doesn't give the entire word, but which "points me in the right direction"
have you ever used lickety's list mitch?
I like them because I would NEVER finish a puzzle without them.
well all I must bid you adieu for now! Happy babbling!
alright, i'm just curious is all
poof
thanks dee
curiousity run rampant!!!
i very rarely use it dis
I envy your ability to complete the grid, especially so quickly, without the clues
ditto met
alot of people use it!
of course - i just personally think that it would be more of an accomplishment to finish the puzzle without them - though i also realize the level of frustration, and time allotment would increase accordingly
The clues giving the beginning letters is the only way to find out the two beginning letters of the words you are missing
'night all, I'm off to watch some TV and Stitch a bit happy Babbling
nite meta
nite metal!! :)
maniac - time i think is the biggest problem
Hello everyone
hi douglas!
understandably
Hello mrpresident!
te7,28? I have the dog.
good nite everyone
nite helen! sleep well :)
i need one more and I am about to give up it is an st 5 and it is after the bull and before the recordplayer. anyone help? thanks
for me...time is only a problem in finishing the grid because the words like to play hide-n-seek with me. i play along for so long...but then i get tough with them!
te7/27 - pottery dish for baking.
3* ST5
meant 7/28 - I also have one that means earthly.
i have the bull and the secretary and the one that is a unit of measure. need the other one, please
I don't understand the pottery dish clue. (Don't cook)
there are 5 of them, i also have the back end of the ship
there are 6... sorry :)
it's a medical term - try s+canvas shelter
mlk - it's like the dog except for the last 2 letters (think maiden name).
thanks, kept missing the top right letter.
Joey, there are 3 before the record splayer and after the bull
done, thanks for the help. got it.
ok, 5 x st/6 and 6 x te/7... just confirming :))
got it mrp...... you almost had me losing my mind though 8)

ubiquitous angers
Te7's? I have smaller, canvas house, canine, and casserole dish. Need two more please?
oh joey! thank goodness all is well!! blessed kisses to melon!!
I am an ***** mass on the sofa...
Joey we had this one a couple of days ago ...A slender tube inserted inside a tubular body part (as a blood vessel) to provide support during and after surgical anastomosis
bye mrp
Glad all is well too!
They use these slender tubes as medication delivery systems...
But we only have the tube, not the tubes
se7,28 please?
te 6 & 7: like the fe 6 & 7 weasel like smelly pet
6/18 + R
Greek babblet
don't have the 6,18 either.
hmmm..thanks cyborg...had the 6
te7 - sound like a syndrom where you curse a lots and drop the last letter for the 6.
think calm and se****
se7/28 calm and tranquil
ty all
the other one starts with the same 3 letter and ends with "Good Night I****" lady.
Umm goy Dianne
wait a sec...not fully getting your clue diane
Good night WHAT lady?
Dis - te7 - the same first 4 letters of the dog + a girl's name that starts with "i" but drop the "i" as in the old song "Good Night I****".
Cyborg - Nay ho ma?
Have that one.
Gay ho maa Dianne, sik jaw faan mai? LOL
mlk - change the 3rd letter from the end for the other one (diff vowel).
Need one more te7. I have the smaller, more canvas house, curse syndrom, canine, and pottery. Any help with the last one?
thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
omg! my eyes are so tired i thought your "i" was and an "l" and you were saying little lady! i have the word you were cluing already!! i think i need to go to bed!
Cyborg - I've used up all my Cantonese unless I'm going to take a cab or need the restroom :)
Dispatch yourself immediately hehe
I still have 21 to go, but that finished my 7's and 8's. Thanks so much for the clues. See some of you tomorrow.
but wait...i need the same last te 7 as mkl...so i will await a clue...then i will depart! good one cyborg! hehe
Ay yaaa... Joygeen oyen :))
and...i saw the clue for that last one...so with that..thank you and good night all!
TE 7/28 anagram of enterer
The only 7 I still need is the ON...didnt get it from much earlier clues. help, please!
Good night, cya Domani CIAO!! Dis
ON7/28 first number + variant of rear
on7 - first number + 4 letter that rhyme with "**** to the throne" but diff con to start (don't know if that helps).
thanks.
He's just not that **** you...
geez--does anyone really use some of these words?!
mom, the point is all these words are in a predefined list of words called ENABLE, whether they are used in everyday speech or not is irrelevant
Of course not, mom, if you're looking for words that people use, you're in the wrong dimension...
welcome to the twighlight zone
Numbers could be construed as the cardinality of ****
Just trying to lighten the morning, kids. Been Babbling for a couple years now!
life?
Life? If I had one I wouldn't be here at this hour of the day1
No Douglas...is it life or sets?
hiya everyone
hi lynxxx! brb
hi lindiloo
hello MRP! nite off?
I should have said cardinalities instead of cardinality...it isn't life CS...no wonder the kids can't do arithmetic...
amounts?
Hello lynxxx
douglas, there is no point of reference for your comment
Hmm...lets start over...back in the day when new math was a big deal, numbers were construed as the cardinalities of se4/4
Oh right, so I was right, good!
You can't take three from two, Two is less than three, So you look at the four in the tens place. Now that's really four tens, So you make it three tens, Regroup, and you change a ten to ten ones, And you add them to the two and get twelve, And you take away three, that's nine. Is that clear?
BYE all, cya tomorrow
Hi lynxxx! yes it is! going back to the wheel of doom for the next 5 nights! :)
bye cyborg! lovely to meet you!
Now instead of four in the tens place You've got three, 'Cause you added one, That is to say, ten, to the two, But you can't take seven from three, So you look in the hundreds place.
From the three you then use one To make ten ones... (And you know why four plus minus one Plus ten is fourteen minus one? 'Cause addition is commutative, right.) And so you have thirteen tens, And you take away seven, And that leaves five... Well, six actually. But the idea is the important thing.
Bye Cyborg.
Richmondena Cardinalis
Hooray for new math, New-hoo-hoo-math, It won't do you a bit of good to review math. It's so simple, So very simple, That only a child can do it!
Never did understand all those little colored sticks Douglas! they aren't still used are they?
coloured sticks?? who is pregnant?
I think the little colored sticks are still used to associate numbers with physical quantities
LOL douglas! too true!
LOL MRP
But numbers are beautiful in and of themselves...there are enough that everyone can have as many as they want...
Mrp - pregnancy I understand!!
EN 6/18 anyone?
GirlF - all
en6 - the whole thing, all of it.
Thank you. Why are the easy ones so difficult? 18 left...way past my bedtime...
synonym for prophet, soothsayer, etc.
GirlFriday - I think its probably because you aren't tilting your head onto your left shoulder - in order to read from right to left - well thats what I'm doing anyway
I'm personally fond of 4,000,306
morning all any clues for on7 please
Dianne clued it at 2:43 oggy, but I didn't get it then...
on 7 - on + 2 letter hesitation sound + 3 letters meaning more so.
on7.28 - first number + a word for a stream minus the middle cons
Good morning/evening all. on7 - strange word that's been in before. Variation of spelling in American word for more awkward or stubborn
Hi Haz - hows that back?
thanks lynxxx, thats me done.
Not so sore as yesterday - but yesterday was the sorest it had been! Back to physio today.
Yay for Oggy!!!!
Congratulations oggy! How do you say that in Welsh?
Haz - good, hopefuly you are starting to 'mend' then. nothing worse than a bad back.
dont speak welsh
Thanks lynxxx, I hope so.
anyone have the EN 6/18?
It means whole, girlfriday
Or FE 6/27
lets try another way GirlF - en + t4.4
When you have it, girlfriday, you get fireworks...
en+ get sleepy
Oh, sorry, You clued it already. I got it. Thanked you then I forgot to type it into lickety list...sorry!
So how about the FE 6/27..I def. don't have that!
fe6/27 - a type of animal or to poke around
got that one, sorry, I need the first FE 6/27...
could I make this any more difficult on myself!!!
fe6 means strange or unusual
the second FE6.27 is what a sore may do if you don't dress it (or is there more than 2 fe6.27?)
first fe6 - 1st 3 letter sound like amimal's coat + untruth.
theres 3 fe6
what a wierd word - TY Dianne & Oggy
thanks.
Are the fe 7's related to the fe 6?
fe7/40 relates to the plant fe4/7
howdy babblers'
hello kkkk
hey lynxx
another fe7/40 is 3 letters sounding like animal coate + short word that sounds like word for correct.
TY Dianne
Thanks Dianne and Haz.
You're welcome.
oh those re6,7s and 8 are just there to mock me. I plan to do this next year
Enjoy your new found freedom.
BBS - need to get coffee and put warm clothes on because - joy of joys - its raining! good for putting out bushfires!
If there was a pipeline between Australia and Ireland, your water problems would be over.
hello haz!!
Hello mrpresident!
How did lickety look in his white outfit for the party?
sad!
Did you disown him - pretend not to be with him?
he was followed by a couple of girls... they were commenting on how gay he looked!! he was very offended!!
Maybe they meant he was happy? Or maybe not......
he turned around and gave them a serve!! I thought he looked very happy myself! :)
I don't know - I thought he could have carried off the Richard Gere look.
well, they were checking out his ass!
He did remember to wear appropriate underpinnings?
good morning all
Good morning Buttonman.
so, he turned around, and I am sure they thought he was richard! cause they blushed!
good morning HAZ
good morning HAZ
hi button!
At least it was girls checking him out!
LOL! too right haz!
Haz, i have all but on 4 letter word..it has me up against the wall.....it is an er 4/4...can you help me..
er4/4 - could be either a seabird singular, or seabird plural?
I have the one that sounds like a man's name..it is the other one
One ends as it begins (a vowel) the other is the same except it ends in s.
erts
eres
soory....
Nearly there! It only differs in the third letter.
I had my work xmas party the other night... I was sooooo good :)
But you still enjoyed yourself?
HAZ, i guess i need to go back to bed, I still can't find it
oh yes!! I managed to be the first called up for the xmas company present (sat on my bosses lap and gave him a kiss! cause he was santa!!) fell into the band at the end of the night (took someone with me :) she was laughing)... then went to the afterparty and the bosses daughter told everyone that I was 'so sexy' and then got proposed to by just about everyone!! managed to get home by 3am without incident!
Button - first three letters of the man's name, then plural. Unless it's a different one.
And that was you being good! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and resisted the temptation to dump lickety, white trousers and all....
feel stupid...got it thanks
Great! Congratulations!
Proposed to! Well!
I was the MILF!! I didn't know what that was!!
But you do now! Fanciable is so much more flattering and less graphic.
Ithink that is *such* a rude phrase, that MILF business. Hey, what does "give them a serve" mean?
oh haz!! majestic impossible lovely figure
The British and American version is ruder!
I know!! maddison is reading this chat log! :) :) :)
*agrees with Haz*
Understood, mrpresident!
*mutters softly to herself about "proposed" v. "propositioned"*
te7,yay
oh ank! the proposed version was all in good fun, the propositioned version was ignored!!
Attagirl, MrP. ;)
re8,yay
*mutters about "fest" and "fests" again*
That's a lot of muttering you're doing, Ankhorite...
Yeah, see, I'm talking in my sleep... snuck out of bed. Dear One has ALL the covers.
Did you mutter at him as well?
No, actually, Dear clucked like a chicken at me... kind of an early-sleepy-rooster imitation...
And fell back asleep, I'm sure.
HI, is this a tuffy today, or has my cold got the better of me?
hi M3! been forever!!
nice bear, M3! Can't say, I just began. :)
Hello M3 - it's okay so far, I think.
Hello M3 and Ankh.
Hi, Lynxxx! :)
lynxie is back! :)
Taking a break!
Seeya, Haz! :) I hate it when Spangle leaves the chat.
was just accepting Xmas day at my nephews - Yay! nothing to do!
I told y'all I'd be back!!!!!!
Oh, nice., Lynxxx... hi, MovieMan!
Hi Movieman
movieman is back!!
Do the 8's resemble each other?
sorry Ankh - I only have one of them - re8.40
hmmm, txs.
clue for the re8/40 plz?
Movie, a bunch of pensioners
I' getting old and I plan to leave work and I'll be a a re8.40 (pliral)
ty, Ankh......
re - persons who don't work anymore
see - getting so old I can't even spell any more!
Impressive how we all leap right up for THAT word, eh? Wishful thinking!
Just found the 2nd 8.....clue: someone who chucks rubbish/trash on the ground.....
ah!
Had most of that one, forgot to expand it. Txs, MM
and I just finished! fireworks for me!!
and it starts with.....the first letter is......
YAY MR P!
Yay for MRP !!!!!!!
It starts the way you do... first letter
lynxxx - 1st letter is L
TY
oh I need to sleep! love ya all! bye!!
seeya, mrp......
ZZZ, Mr P!
Bye MRP - be good
Oh wait, how's Maddie's face?
oh!! her face is beautiful!!
Ah, good. :)
Is the on word a real word?
not in my book Ankh - do you want a clue
Yes, txs, Lynxxx, if it's not real, I need a push.
on7.28 first number + a big stream less the middle consonent
WTH is that? got it, nw must look it up
*strikes out at TWO dictionaries*
I know what it means Ankh . . . it is when a kid gets good and onry
or i guess i should say bad and onry, or real onery
or however it is you spell the root word
Except that there should be an R between the O and N! (I found it in a Scrabble word list, but not in ANY dictionary, tsk tsk tsk!)
Very nice icon, Katy. Yeah, I tried five dictionaries, not in any, but you are right per the Scrabble list.
hmmmm....i guess i've always spelled it wrong then, cause i never even thought about putting an "r" as the second letter. LOL
heh! Regional, maybe? Southern or Western US?
Midwest. Indiana.
*from Illinois*
morning all and katy
Hi, Ana, what's a CRV?
morning ana . . . i'm not part of all now?!? :-)
nay - know you too well
ok, i guess. lunch today?
in or out
out, i have nothing to bring. but i can get carryout and eat in if you want.
out is good for me and it is going to be 60 degrees
ankh ... a CRV is a type of Honda, sort of a cross between a van and a jeep.
See, now I'm hungry. Oh, txs, Katy.
yay a little one! hi everyone :) Lynxxx, how are you with all the smoke hanging over Melbourne?
ok, we'll go out then. You're welcome ankh. I'm always hungry. Lunch with my friends is the highlight of my day!
Smoke?
morning sunny.
Hi Sunny - was quite bad yesterday and this morning. But cool change has come and what with the RAIN and the wind all is quite nice now. hope rain gets to the fires
Fires! *must watch the news today* Sorry to hear it.
did you say the 'R' word Lynxxx?? not too loud now or it will disappear. lol
Its been pretty bad in our State this past week Ankh - we need some of that water that seems to be flooding parts of the States
Very sorry to hear it.
Last night, the news mentioned that global warming is fouling up Austria's tourist trade by shortening their snow season. :(
We are also having some flooding over here and its abnormally mild for this time of year
it seems that there are extreme weather conditions everywhere and some freaky ones as well. I don't think I have ever heard of a tornado in England before
No! I never have, either!
We had another one earlier this year in Birmingham...
*looks longingly at Spanner's pretty Blue*
Hes such a puff ankh
Just what I like, a 60-pound lapdog. Er, five stone?
His latest thing is to sit under the christmas tree staring longingly at the sugar canes and sighing...
*sighs right along with him*
He is a big brute. 30 inches to the shoulder and solid muscle
do you share with him spanner?? poor puppy!
Yup, thats why we have sugar canes and not chocolate on the tree, 'cause its poinonous to dogs
bye everyone - still got 48 to find but morning job
Our cousins put their giant Weim in a farm-kennel through MARCH because the wife is really very very pregnant, hi-risk. They can't leave the dog with us because -- I'm not kidding -- the poor dog is allergic to our yard.
Bye, Lynxxx.
have a good day lynxxx.
Bye lunxxx - I'm just back to try and finish.
Bye lynxxx
67 to go, finally hit halfway
Wow, never heard of a dog being allegic to a YARD!!!
But I feel for poor Sage, living apart. :( Wish she was here.
Sage must be near Blue's size; 90 pounds and not fat. A moose of a Weim.
bye Lynxxx, hope that cool change comes through!
Blue is sweet really..I also have a black lab called puddin and blue adores him. I never had to house train him, cause when he stooped Blue just picked him up and took him outside..
LOL!
A nanny dog, how nice!
Funny thing is puddin is fully grown and when ever blue feels like hes in the way he just grabs his collar and moves him
Old habits...
Poor pud never gets to lie on the hearth in front of the fire...LOL
awwww.... :)
Is it just me or is this a bit tough?
I had a dog who was like that with our cat. When she had kittens, Silky would lie beside the basket and nudge them back in with her nose if they became too adventurous and if mama cat was gone too long she would herd her back into the basket.
i got half way through spanner, then it seems to have gotten tough.
What kind was Sunny? Me, too, Katy.
Oh Bless. I love cats, but can only watch them from a distance as I am very allegic to them, but arent they fascinating. I can understand why the Egyptians worshipped them...
i didn't, until we had rats in the garage, and suddenly cats seemed entirely divine to me.
Silky was a cross with a blue heeler/bull terrier and a foxy thingy. LOL She stood to my knee and was cattle dodg along her back, with a foxy head but big, and big bully feet. Sweet as a lamb though.
I ahve a theory that the egyptians worshipped the cats and the cats have never forgotten it...LOL
A cattle dog heart.
Oh, yes, cats look at us with disdain... my college buddy had a dog (near-sheltie) that would herd her mother's 13 cats.
You could ask for a cat (or child) by name, and she would herd them to you.
*I* got herded by a chowchow once! Teddy was mad at me for petting other dogs in his sight, but out of his reach... when I came back to the yard, he nipped me all the way back to the house post-haste!
okay, 75 done for me, time to go do something else... txs for the chat, all, happy babbling, and I hope the rain does come to you Aussies!
Clever. Blue is a bit worried about cats, he kind of circles the farm cat when she pops over. They are like 2 fighters waiting for the bell. All hell will break loose if it ever rings...
thank you Ank, take care
Bye Ankh, be safe..
have a good day ankh.
thanks Ankh! hope you guys get some sun over your way. We could swap weather for a while
Txs, Katy, Sunny. Me too -- by, Rlee! and all! **POOF!!**
Gotta go, the ancient one calls...Bye all happy babbling

Hi Al, yes, I think I can finish this grid. Anything under 150-170 is doable for me, in terms of time away from domestic chores.
re's look daunting..
Hey I'm back
howdy, kate
hi there
diving in..
The re's are always daunting--tricky.
hi ric, recovered from being dragged around yesterday?
lol just about
I am staring at the grid and I see a mess of T's, E's, and R's
as usual I'm stuck on the vowels
while i'm just stuck on all words containing them...

Yep, those O's are a puzzle so far.
Ric, just look for words with all consonants.

when I was about twenty, there I was downtown in my old VW bus. A couple of young wannabes in a hot car came up next to me at the light and revved their engine. I beat them off the line and to the next light while the driver was trying to find the gas pedal...
lol stid

Howdy
fe, fi, fo, fum, I smell the blood... *giggle*
lots more TE which ones do you have already?
desperately need caffeine break, but wont leave until
oh, nTkh, lots of them are just "more so" or things like that - i think you will kick yourself if you don't find s'more of them yourself...
however, stid is right about the te's, and those are not really like that, so, i shut up.
flosey -- three + last three letters of se 6/18 that means "content"
ooh! hurshy said I'm right! and it's in the log! *big smile*
I have more camping house and a dog breed
you need ones that sound like soup holders and castle towers

person who directs the vehicle
I have a few of each left hurshy sorry
is ok
thanks for the 7 help ;)
np :)
30 words left and just about as many minutes
ooh, you may want the list in that case.
if i were done that would be one thing but i have 7 to go
is it that bad lol
well, the end is always slow, and a word a minute without the list at the end is just too much to expect
unless you are maniac_mitch
I'm missing just 1 L now, wonder if it's the same one you are
AHHHHHHHHHH, back with my caffeine!
do you have the 6/18?
i gots a whole buncha fours, then 25's a 6 and an 8
I have 2 6s

hey, the volcano is not in this grid! 8-(
oh, sorry
it's an odd one hurshy, li + sounds like making money
thanks muchly
so I must need a 4
so i suppose you need a 4... the one with two of the same vowel in it
got that one
person who relaxes on their bed?

now if i could get the F, all my missing words would be in the middle column.
I'm missing 3fs
homonym of fright
I have 4 7s 2 6s no 5s and some 4s
there is a 5, a pl
KT - do you have the FE that is a common plant + its plural?
ok got those 2
I do now ty klaurel
and have you got short for admit guilt, party, and party pl that's a 4?
yeah
then i guess we miss the same one now
and enemies
*pats self on the back* i managed to find the 8s all on my own with no clues. :)
it has to be 5 or 6, as i am done with fours
wd evan, I got one of them myself today
good for you evanadine
with my lack of concentration lately, thats quite an accomplishment!
this time of year we get so busy ! it is indeed
my neck has been bothering me all week, so i havent been able to concentrate in much...
sorry to hear that evan, hope it feels better soon
mine gets achy with too much computering!
thanks kth, me too! i think i just slept on it wrong, but its been painful since sunday + isnt really feeling any better...
good afternoon everybody:)
does linament help evanadine?
oh I hate that
hi jean
so far, not much has helped. tried advil, tried a ben gay patch -- that didnt help the neck problem, but it did feel nice! had a heating pad on it last night which kinda helped, but thats not very easy to keep on your neck at work...
I use Lakota - an odorless linament - so many of them have strong odors
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGHHHH! The REs are killing me
what do you need kl
yes, i think the babblefield will be strewn with RE victims today
you could try those heating pads you get for period pain that stick on, I've seen adverts for them on tv but never tried them
just feels kinda odd to have any sorta patch stuck on my neck while im at work...heh
have to cover it with turtleneck sweater
i think it is lying to me. i don't think there really are any more words.
poor hurshy
poor hurshy
poor hurshy
oops how did I manage that?
oh, it's a pity party! who brought chips?
no chips but I bakes a barrel of cookies yesterday while doing that BIG puzzle
*baked
cookies even better
I'll just pass them around
Good morning!
coffee anyone?
hi merk
hello merk:)
good morning Merk
Cool icon, Flosey. Dear One has been making "cinnamon chip" cookies.
Yes, flosey, I could use a cup.
sounds interesting Ank, never heard of cinnamon chip
I'll just leave the carafe on table with the cookies
phantom retina
is there an se5, or are there 2 se6
Me either, Flosey, not until this year, but I guess Nestle makes them now, and lemme tell you, with a rolled-oat (oatmeal or whatever) cookie, they sure are good.
no idea hurshy I have an se6
hello everyone!
I'll have to look for them, hubby loves cinnamon - often has it on his toast
Hi Ank, long time no see!
hello smooth-pappa:)
there is a se 5/10
hi ankh and blood
Well, hello there Pappa!! Yeah!
and jean
and smooth
It's the eye surgery from last week. Almost all better now, but can't be at computer long.
hello anniebrook:)
ahhh, that's right... how'd that go?
good, I take it.
Ank - your icon reminds me of a Christmas dance we went to some years back - huge tree lit entirely with tiny candles - watched very carefully!
hmmm, may i have a clue annie?
hurshy, sorry to say I dont have it, working off the list today so there is a se 5/10 , se 6/18 and se 7.28
ah, oh
hurshy - you've been so busy helping others with clues (me included) so still plugging along
i'm a doofus
i got it now
I started off okay then I came to a standstill and here I sit
hurshy, if there's such a thing, it would be the person who se4/4's
i gots 5 to go
woohoo closed out the middle S
now if we could find that blasted F
is it one of the f7's ?
are there 2 f5's, or are there 3 f6's
no we have all the 7's
1 f 5
only 1 f5
so that'd be a 6 then
i gots a mischievous animal and to let something stew
but not in a good way
I finally have to cave in ask for help. I need clues for the fe 6,27 and the two fe 7,40 that follow it. Please.
a pet animal that steals your stuff, and pl, and then like iron
merk, one fe7 is a sore that becomes infected
fe 6 == sounds like not late, rather ahead of time
hi all
good clue babble
babblerabble, you are my hero.
ty babble
hello gailnrb:)
time to go home with 22 words left, may come back later to finish up
babble, thanks!!!
Unless my list is totally out of whack, I have the 'early' sounding fe and the infected sore.
Hello, gailinrb
are you at work kth?
yes flosey
hi ya. am about to finish my struggle with the Rs.
The 6,27, in my list, comes after the pl. of the green, leafy forest plant.
how about fe7/40 a frondlike plant - more so
the other fe is an ermine-like critter
oooh! I love that icon Babble Rabble... It reinforces everything I already think about clowns. ;)
its me on a bad hair day
Oh, those r tiles messed me up. Whoever gave me the mink like animal, I think I've got that! Thanks
sing a song of sixpence, a pocket full of rye
like the hair babble, looks like a very healthy salad green
Isn't there the fe guy who shoes horses?
farrier
change first vowel
no no
i'm saying the guy who shoes horses is farrier
Why can't he be fe just for me? Would you look at me sentence ... four rhymes.
and ferrier isn't anything
like a lot of words in here !
No, he's not.
although person who takes people across rivers would be a logical def. for it
So I still need one more fe 7
like iron, merk
Yes, and I can't get a mental image of it even though I know exactly what you mean.
ends in ceremony
Ok. I give up. Can someone clue the fe6,27 please?
Oh. Buy the way. Hello everyone.
and double consonant
I have the fe 7,40 whose ending rhymes with might.
which way have you got to sell?
which one, mkl?
hi mkl
Sorry again. I only need the first fe7.
more like a frondy plant
See why I wasn't typing in the chat? I need the first fe6,27
more green plant like, mkl
or no, you said 6 originally, so you need sounds like not late
fe6/21 Babble clued earlier - not late
thanks much. Never thought of going that direction.
ahh. the 1st fe 6/27= fe + a consonant + prevaricate
gail, where did you get that icon, so very appropriate for this puzzle - especially yesterday's
gail, your icon is how i feel today re: the re words
hi all, finally back
Hi Ric
greetings mr. nixon
hello TrickyRic:)
thanks, all. i found it while searching google images. was looking for something else at the time and thought it was most appropriate for here. ;-[}
hehe
it is indeed gail
maybe it would help if i cleared one thing up first: how many ri's are there? 3?
i think you can grab it from my profile, if you want it.
wouldn't it be funny if we ALL had that icon!!!
a long succession of banging heads
heh
the noise would be very distracting, tho. lol
hurshy, yes

must away hope to get back later, happy babbling everyone:)

bye now

li6,18?
argh. my eyes have crossed
I have the usual li 4,4 but am missing one. Is there an unusual one?
li + sea bird
there are five li4/4
one uses the same vowel twice
And I have four.
there's one li 4/4 that's unusual - at least to me.
So it has the small cane and uses the same vowel twice? That would fit in my list.
ty hurshy
indeed.
ty
there ya go, merk
there.
hmm my words aren't submitting any more
what other li are there?
ooh nm
re4/7 before the horse control please

farrier = one who ferries?
no but cad why can't a ferrier be a person who ferries
one of the 6/18's that sound alike, nTkh?
i thought farriers hoes horses?
I guess for the same reason retent isn't a word... makes no sense to me!
i mean shooed horses?
*sigh* i mean SHOED horses
farriers shoe horses, ferriers ferry people.
thanks hurshy that was it
only they don't cause they don't exist.
LOL

hi Jean
good evening jean
1st fe 6/27?
Ty, I got it. But (stupid question time), what is a comparative?
when you compare 2 or more things
actually it would be comparing 2 things a supperlative is more than 2
this is greener than that...
fe 7/40: more forest plant-like
that is the greenest apple I have ever seen...
I know what compare means, just not sure how it fits in grammatically.
Ahhh, ok. SO superlative would be...
the greenest?
TY
yes, no prob, now for my clue the 1st fe 6 pls
When someone here says it's a comparative, it usually means the word ends in er. Superlative - est ..
fe 6/27 - fe + cons + untruth
thnx

if she used her litter box once and decided it was too dirty she would put strips of toilet paper over it or drag a towel from another bathroom all the way down the hall and cover the litter box.!! She unloaded cupboards, carefully if I was gone too long!

awww you are really going to miss her.....maybe someday you will find another kitty

Ankh from here did it for me!!
So goo of ankh!
I mean good, not goo!
I've been looking for a new little one but love Siamese or part Siamese so haven't found one yet, they usually find me.
My kitty found us and decided we and our Great Danes were good enough so she stayed. She was about 12 weeks old, probably abandoned by summer campers near our place.
hana was only 2 weeks old and just left in a box at Benihana's restaurant. What is WRONG with people!???

re 8/40: persons who have reached the golden years

well done, Jacula!!
Thank you.
YAY Jacula!!!
Just noticed today's theme is Christmas ornaments. Anyone want to help me put nylon thread through 25 more ornaments? No? I'll leave 'em till tomorrow then.
clue for the first re5/10 and 6 please
add a double vowel to the re4/4 that means take a break
Biltong - expand on the re4/4 before them.
(Rhymes with a brand of bananas, Biltong.)
ty, gramma and Jacula.

yw
means dry or smoke meat
oh, thanks. Nevr heard the word before

4x2,5x5,6x2 on the tr's
I cheated -- yesterday, I picked an icon that fit the theme for both days. :)

hi ankh -- I've been in the grid and didn't spot your grand entrance!
Clue for the third re6/18 please?
The 3rd te7/28 is a variant spelling of the soup dish.
yes Ankh, I post alot on a christian website, so I love to use alot of lovely crosses for icons, so thanx
hi mousey
ankh im talking to YOU!!!!
RE6/18 to go to bed
the third te6/18 is the one I clued (rhymes with polecat fe6.)
that te is not s toup dish, it's a type of molded dish often with vegetables, similar to a pate
reest
I have that one, thanks, Cyborg. It's the re6/18 before that, that I am missing
Oh, thanks Esprit. You learn something new everyday.
:-)
not on the log magzel!
re6/18 2nd is sounds like routine
I thought someone was going to tell me to piss off LOL
Of course, the word I was thinking of is tu6! I'm cross-eyed (and brained, it would seem) tonight.
that's the one, ty, Cyborg
Esprit - No! Not in the Season of Goodwill anyway. LOL.
I had the same prob earlier Jean, everyone kept saying the soup thingy and I just could not get it lol
and I like it when people tell me what a word means
specially some of the ding dong re words lol
I still can't get the soup/vegetable thingy. Any more clues please?
grammaT - thing is, if I'd not been cross-eyed and cross-brained, I'd have known that, in act do know that. Esprit was right to correct me.
right
most of those words build off my name, not the gramma part
Good clue, gt.
ty
biltong, something you might see on a menu in a fine restaurant: te***** of roasted vegetables, or a dessert, te***** of chocolate
BRB. Need to do a couple of things.
Oh, Mousey! Sorry -- meant cheating by using one icon for the theme "candles" and re-using it the next day (today) for "ornaments". Hello, Jilli! Jac! And all. :)
ty Esprit
te***** = anagram of enterer
hi ankh, isn't hana looking cute? thank you again!!
Oh, there she is! Hmmm, is it my imagination, or is the image being stretched horizontally?
it's ok sometimes she was skinny and sometimes she was chubby!! lol
*fires up her graphics program to fix that*
did that help biltong?
uhoh lol
I am still trying to monkey it! I know the word, but it is eluding me!
my name -i + a direction on a map
Oh, it's just me being compulsive, HpyHrt. :) Biltong: rhymes with branch of the armed services who are not soldiers, sailors, or pilots.
or a direction for those that do crossword puzzles
run hana run!!! lol
or if you're scared or te***fied, go northeast
found it, at last. Ty.
The clues were all perfect, it was just me who, like Jacula, is cross eyed at the moment.
there is another 7 that sounds the same, but is not spelled the same
I am back with 81 words and wondering if I can get a clue for the 2nd fe 7/40 - after the animals
same first 4 letters + chemical ending, phand
Okay, Hpy, a svelte Hanna is in your mailbox. Sorry, I should have thought about the squaring effect!
or geological ending?
FE 7/40 made from iron
fe7/40 having more fe***
leafy, lacy plants

Ankh, I do have a grand dog, 3 grand cats and a grand dragon, but nothing close to my own
thnx
Yeah, Jilli, first time, I forgot to give Hpy a square one for icon use, so poor Hana got stretched sideways to fit -- certainly nothing any fashionable Meezer would bear willingly!
hi everyone Hows it going?
diem, it's strangely calm and foggy -- the calm before the storm?
Well, grandpets can still wreak havoc when they leave, T.
fi .. anagram of reifier

But I fixed them... *I* built onto Dear's "jovial" by making it "jovially" and hitting the triple word score with the Y, bwah-hah-hah-hah-hah
et6/18 -- poetic long-lasting
Not yet Bellingham is expect ing 100mph gusts yet we are told 100kms ?

Does anyone know if there are any other sites with a game similar to Babble?
on 7.28 clue please?
Mooch -- some babblers seem to know of other word games but from what I can tell they are speed tests and don't have a community like this
meaner than mean
on7/28 -- misspelt mean -- on + ee6 minus a vowel
at least it sounds like that relarion
Oh, I just wondered. I love Babble and the community of babblers. Sometimes though, when I finish, I just wish I had another puzzle to do.
I know what you mean, mooch. I keep looking at the grid hoping to find another word, duh!
Thanks hp and jill, I thought it might be that but knew there was a letter missing from what I thought it was, so confused...
so, did anyone get the 2nd re 6/27 & the 5 after it?

Do that, Katy. Old classics and well worth reading. 'What Katy Did', 'What Katy Did At School' and 'What Kay Did Next'.
*Katy did next. LOL.
evidently there's two more books after those that talk about Katy's sister.
well I need that Relarion, but I want the 2nd re 6/18 and the 5 after it
*needed
Katy - What are they titled? I think I read all the books, but it was a long time ago and the three I mentioned are the ones I still own.
I must not have it yet, phandmd, I'm working my way down the r list on the L. page now. it's endless.
can't remember now, but I saw them on the web.
2nd re6/18 is one who takes it easy.
Yes, I have most of them just those 2 if you want any clues
phan -- there is an re6/18 with a 5/10 after it. This 6/18 follows an re4/4 which means "a network, as of fibers, nerves, or blood vessels. " Add a compass direction to that word. The re5 that follows it to do up your shoes again.
the re5.10 after it is the plural of the leisure word.
no, I have the one who no longer works there is one above it
oh, I see then I need the 3rd 6 pls
Not the pensioner! I meant one who reposes after a hard day.
phan: add an r to the es5/10
My mistake, I have that I need the one after that. My appolgies, I don't know how to count...
phan -- did you see mine at 7:49?
Oh, great, now I have one less "r" too.
thnx, figuring it out...
re6/18 = a crystalline hydrocarbon, C18H18, obtained chiefly from the tar of resinous woods and certain fossil resins. re5/10 following = what you do when your shoe laces come undo again.
thnx got it. Sorry for my boneheadedness
that's what I said, jac, sort of!
not boneheadedness -- weird word, the 6
Can't be any worse than my cross-eyed and crossed-brainness (?) after threading invisible nylon through 25 Chiristmas decorations for hanger. Still 25 to go, but not tonight!
Stuck on the 1st re 5.10.
*Christmas
Oh sorry, clued already!
re + superlative ending
re5/10 -- re + superlative ending
1st re 5/10 - add to the re4 before it. Ending is a short form of a type of road.
great minds, phan
yes indeed
the 3rd ti 5/10, please
I need to te 7/28's the one after the birds and the one after that pls
Anyone want to thread invisible nylon through the last 25 tr4/4 decorations for me?
plural the ti 4 above
no thanks, jac
I'll help
I'll just hop my concord...
3rd ti5/10 is what someone does when they become weary. In US, it could also mean a set of 5 (including spare) on a vehicle.
thanx phand
te7/28 -- French for earth + northeast
Thanks phan! Concorde still doesn't fly yet, though.
next te7/28
sorry -- hit the wrong key -- next te7/28 pl of the word that rhymes with the weaselly animal
I'm sorry if it was clued alread but...the 1st re 6.18?
I own one...
and the next te7/28 is a feisty dog breed
thnx, for the te 7's
its a plural jilli
I'm done. Anyone need clues?
phan - I don't think we are takling of the same plane? Not the French/British Concorde? My late Dad worked on that. It was grounded a while ago. Most beautiful plane in the world!

well, I guess I am outta here...
i'm back, sorry Jilli, no vodka in the house. whoo hoo Phan on your fireworkds
thnx
Bye phan, thanks so much.
cad, what program?
Ie
Cadfan, go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools, clean disk. that's one way. if he just wants to clear his internet cache go to tools, internet options
have a good night Phan
then I think it is delete history from the internet options folder.
Tools, internet options... clear cookies, files etc.
fi7?
ok, i'm sure I'll earn a fish for this, but can someone clue the er4 that doesn't sound like to make money
Then waht I see clear history, delete cookies files etc.. that includes cache? I thought I remembered something that said cache but maybe that's an older windows thing?
Firefox can be set up to do all of that at one go. In IE you still need to click each of the 3 options.
bert's friend from sesame street
<*))<<
er4 sounds like a sesame street character
more flame walnut
you can also go to your tools, internet options, advanced, then in the settings under security check the button that says empty temporary internet files folder when browser closes. That will clear the cache everytime you close IE, but not delete the cookies.

I was so focused on lining up a shot, I didn't even notice. lol
I called ya HS because you're always such a charmer and a nice fella here in Babble-land
why thank you Meta! now if only i could find a local girl. lol
awww sweetie, she's out there somewhere
lol
meta, how far are you from Morgan city?
you are a bit younger than my present fella ( who's younger than I am already)... so I guess adding you to my harem is out of the question... I'll drool from afar and content myself with swapping recipes
an hour and a half or so
HAHA!
just outside Baton Rouge
hmmm.. i've got a friend in MC... i was going to visit her last year, but totalled my car the day before the trip. lol still haven't made it to Louisiana
you have family in Morgan City?
Help? I need the fe5/16...

lol
Yahoo! Fireworks!

yayyy GG
so meta... I do have a planned trip... but probably not for the next year, at least
It would be my photographic oddesy of the United States
ok, cat's "starving to death" (or so his pitiful little paw on my knee tells me) I"ll feed him then be back to clue/chat
taking me through each of the lower 48 state capitols... and avoiding interstatesz
wow pappa...I didn't know that you were so young!! That really is a nice pic of you!
cool pappa, that is an adventure I envy you, traveling and doing something you love while you travel
lol green... all of 26... going on 90 some days. ;)
be back in a few
lol metal -- that cat is always starving to death!
well... it' will take a lot of money and time... neither of which I have much of... but it will take me across the nation, and allow me (among other things) to meet a lot of my online buddies scattered across the continent
The way you figure out these puzzles, and talk on this chat, I just thought you were older...
You must have an old soul, or just very mature...I have been told that I have an old soul since I was a kid
Hello Nan!
thanks green... I don't want to be morbid, or a downer, but I've seena lot of pain and death in my life... that makes you grow up quicker, I think... that and I've travelled around the world.. over a dozen countries, and a majority of the US... you learna lot doing that, as well
sounds very interesting pappa...ever thought of writing, as well as photography? That is me...the writer(not a picture taker though)
well, I've thought of doing photography books, but those need essay's as well... but I know how to write... although, most of my writing is in the educatuional realm, not entertainment
Travelling was a dream I had when I was younger, then I had children and that dream went away...sadly. But now that they are getting older, we have started taking vacations to various parts of the country...not quite the same thing, but it is interesting
that's one reason I'm not crazy about kids... although I still am single... but the idea of children scares me, since I already have a hard enough time finding personal time. lol is that selfish?
not at all pappa...honestly if it hadn't happened when it did for me, I would have never had kids. They are truly a blessing, and I wouldn't change it. Just keep in mind, if you ever do have children, you will never be prepared enough for them, and it will change your aspects on life. Guaranteed
lol Of that, I'm sure!
kids change your life, garonteed!
but not something I'm looking to bring into my life anime soon
But there are great rewards for all of the things that you end up losing
I waited until i was older and I still think that I wasn't ready, but the clock was ticking!
I am so glad I have kids and like I said in our CHristmas letter - we get great joy from and with them but at times, they drive us to tears! I wouldn't change it for the world, but they are work!
People prepare for years, and are still not really prepared when the baby comes...it is hard to prepare for something when you know nothing about it until it is in your face
well... first I've gotta prepare for having a girlfriend. lol I suppose that means cleaning my apartment. ;)
Yes, I think it is truly impossible to be fully prepared for kids!
Enjoy traveling and living a life of bachelorhood as long as you can pappa, because it will never be the same again...get as much as you can of it while you can...cleaning your apartments might help with the girls though
hey smooth - when you take the 48 capitals trip, let me know - we are only 1/2 hour away from the lovely Carson City and would love to catch lunch!
hehehe... well I am recently single, so I am enjoying waling around in my boxerswith a beer, and doing whatever other bachelor stereotype you can think of. lol
Guys really do that?
my husband does that!
Will do TnC... Like I said, it's not the immediate future...first I need to find a Disposable 3 months, and $15,000... but I'll check in with everyone before I leave
I o that sometimes Tnc
errr... imean green
Rock (the cat) does always seem to be " 'tarvin' " doesn't he?
$5,000 not 15
god I can not type again. lol
That is funny!! welcome back metal
yeah, you seem to have a very hungry cat, metal - mine ignore me!
We got you all nervous talking about kids, and women, and boxers with beers...
hee hee
lol
so get this, I went to my office meeting today (I just started working for H & R Block) and our office is open full time starting next week. WTH?
Oh well, 1 am is rolling around, and I have a busy day tomorrow...I am gooing to turn in....
nite, green!
night green
nitey nite....
heh.. TnC... you'll get no sympathy from me. lol After working so long in retail, this will be the first time I've had Christmas da off in 3 years. lol ok..... fine... you have my sympathy.
lol
Rock, poor old fella, has had some problems lately with food... we've had problems I should say, finding one he can tolerate without urping it back up... and which he'll eat..
well, I don't have to work Christmas day, but the day after, oh well
it looks like Chicken of the Sea is on the menu for a while... it's the only thing he'll eat lately... and he's lost so much weight we're feeding him anything he'll eat and keep down.
me too
poor kitty. I swear mine are bulimic at times. they urp up whole food that they don't even chew
Rock's a Cancer survivor (twice now) so when he started not eating his usual food and keeping it down, started losing weight... we swept him up for a trip to the vet... she Xrayed him and everything looked fine.... she even gave us a kitty version of ensure which he drank fine for one meal's worth then didn't want any more of....
poor kitty.
I know he's spoiled, but we figure that at 19 he doesn't have much longer, and since he's been sick before we're gonna give him whatever he wants and keep him comfy and happy for as long as we're lucky enough to have him with us.
I'm with you on that one.
speaking of.....
