good morning/night, if anybody is there
Hey Ruby, just come back in....hows things over your way?
hello diz! It is starting to feel like Christmas -- snow on the mountains and cold here in the valley. Fires every afternoon.
Aside from that, I'm not remotely ready!
How about you?
Me, I'm all prepared, just waiting till Xmas eve to do all the cooking etc. The weather here is really weird, tis supposed to be summer but we are wearing semi winter clothes
that must be nice -- better than bathing suits at Christmas!
LOL am used to the bathing suits. I always cook Xmas eve and have a buffet style food Xmas day so I am not stuck in the kitchen all day and I can enjoy the g/kids
sounds smart to me. Are you close to the ocean?
no, about 45 mins drive away, but close enough, but dtr has a backyard pool.
aaah, so nicew!
or even nice*
Ruby, what are you doing for THE day. Hope Mr Ruby is good enough to enjoy it
it will be very quiet. Just us and lots of food. My son just took a new job (3 wks ago), so he had to cancel his visit
Mr. Ruby is trying to be a good boy, but is very depressed.
we'll just have neighbors in for drinks for most of that week
sorry 'bout your son (but congrats to him) tell Mr Ruby to join the chat on Babble...LOL (joking), does he use the 'puter?
he uses it, but barely. Just writes to one daughter and a couple of friends and does banking.
He's not a game-player, unfortunately
he won't even play scrabble with me!
get him to do Facebook, only for the games, my hubby just does that, and spends about an hour every so often each day to break the boredom.
I got him into facebook, but he won't use it, even for photos of his great-grandkids!
(get him into porn sights)....ONLY JOKING!!!!!
just what I ned!!!!
lol
hubby doesn't like using puter much, but I showed him some slot games, and thats what he plays.

Hi Sprite - only passing through - should be writing Christmas cards :)
ah good job mari! Am still in debate whether we will do that this year or not.
oh wow I found a 9 all by myself!
I gave to charity instead one year and folk thought husband and I had parted
lol! Yeah, people jump to conclusions. I think we will send some this year. I think I saw an ad that offered free postage from 3 cards up.
spent more assuring everyone that things were fine (married 47 years lol)

wow mari, that is so beautiful. I love to hear about longtime marriages. My love and I are married 15 years, 17 together... that is not so long, but in these times, people say it is.

... Dear Dr. God ... the game allows every other unit of currency in the world ... but not the Canadian "loonie" and "toonie" ... ... not fair!
... oh well
I agree Dose. Not to mention it accepts Australian slang for afternoon (arvo). I have no idea what the discretion point is for Enable.
the babble dictionary most certainly needs an update. However, I've become rather fond of the quirks of enable. And also, we'd have nothing to moan about then.
... it just can't be too slangy ...
Ah, not too slangy. Got it. : )
... by the way ... it doesn't like "slangy" either ... ... I'm not good at making up words this morning
clue for ar/8 please anyone
ar8: ar + vowel plus 'slangy' term for period after evening. Plural only.

crossy, you are pretty adept with calibre, aren't you? Do you know how to 'enter' the text so as to make changes, corrections, etc?
indeed woulf,while azimov was famous for his "zinger" endings
very hard to find in print sue.if you give me an addy ill send it to you now
I think it was collected in one of the Science Fiction Hall of Fame anthologies -- which were reissued recently, so it may be a bit easier to find again
i have not explored it all that deeply sprite and make my corrections manually
oh dear....breaking news....they just interrupted the tv program to say a young woman in her late teens has just been abducted in a walmart parking lot. witnesses saw a man grab her, stuff her into a pickup truck and take off. everyone, please, take a moment to say a prayer for this young woman....
how do you do that?
btw, for any sf fans out there, our university library just got the works of Fred Saberhagen
last i saw it was long ago in a azimov collection where he was guest author and commented on each..think it was called "space mail"
omg... how awful. Prayers going up now.
thanks sprite. scary stuff
When I was in grade school, I used to refer to Asimov, Bradbury, and Clarke as my holy trinity of SF... with Heinlein as their prophet :-)
trif.we have the amber alert in place here and i am sure all the info will be posted all along our large highways leading into the states
very scary. I so hate violence.
yay Woulf :D Can I raid your book shelves please!
I am with you, Greywoulf - my first SF book was Heinlein
bradbury rocked.if you can,get his hardcover called dark carnival by arkham house
crossy, you can send it to me at uusuzanne at yahoo
my first SF was Asimov. But Heinlein's "The moon is a harsh mistress" I have read to pieces, literally.
will send now sue
anytime, sprite -- though my library is much reduced from what it once was -- I needed to make room in my small apartment for the kids books
~~~please~~~
one of the reasons I gave in to an e-reader, Woulf. Saves space!
our univ. library is a repository for the SFWA (science fiction writers of america) - when I retire I am going to park myself in the rare books and special collections area and read everything
what I find fascinating about Bradbury is that most of his science was in the background of many of his stories... mostly he (and Charles Beaumont) were writing about being human
NIce, usue.... that sounds awesome
ok sue..books have been sent
sprite,did you get them yet
it is - we have some original letters from Asimov and others (don't know how many, I have seen a few that have been on display)
which university?
Northern Illinois
http://www.ulib.niu.edu/rarebooks/scie ncefiction.cfm
Oh... and my daughter is picking up the SF bug at the tender age of 8... she found my copy of 'The Guide to Larry Niven's Ringworld' by Kevin Stein that was published in 1994.... and has now decided to start reading Ringworld for herself
good thing he could write..azimov was a goofy looking fella;0
nice!!!
woulf.get her to read golden apples of the sun
crossy: no, not yet
ok sprite..sending again
thank you, crossy, you are the best
tiny url about the Saberhagen papers: http://tinyurl.com/buzsc67
btw, our reference librarian (in the photo in that article) won a Hugo this year!!!
wow!
Hello all. Stats are in my bio if anyone wants them. Can't stop - got cannelloni tubes to stuff and fiddly Christmas cake decorations to make. xx
ok sprite it is sent again
I actually got to see it - very cool!
*hugs for Jac*
and hi and bye, jac!
my intro to Bradbury was 'R is for Rocket' and 'S is for Space'... I would love to find copies of them again for her.
crossy, now they made it! Thanks again and I will read and weep.
there we go,nothing like making half a dozen laides a weeping mess before lunch:)
good bradbury story
I have R for Rocket as epub, Woulf
And unfortunately, I need to go... that horrible work thing... I got stuck because there was a cold snap last night and my car locks froze... I have been waiting for it to thaw
it was lovely to see you again, Woulf. *hug* for you, your love and your kids.
bye, woulf! Drive carefully!
tc woulf
My mom has been chiding me for not checking in, so I will try to do better... {*HUGS*} to all
phone....rats
those rats are getting smarter all the time, don't they. Now they can even ring you up.
going though my list..thank god for ereaders,or i would have no room for furniture in the house
indeed, crossy! My house is still piled high with books but the e-reader is VERY nice for traveling
the asimov story I mean is named "Jokester". Am still looking.
and so affordable now,the one i got the mrs right at the start of the ereader craze cost me $450.00 now you can get a kobo touch for 99 bucks lol
mine was even cheaper. Only 60 euro.
but her old sony prs 700 model still has options that the new ones do not
built in side lighting,sd and micro sd ports and usb and 110 volt charging options and was the first full touch screen
it was short lived because the three screen layers gave it a matte finish for reading and some did not care for it
I just got a Kindle from my son yesterday. He's hoping it will stop the books from coming into the house.
e-ink layer,lighting layer and touch layer
very nice gail
I'm pleased.
well he better get you a 500 dollar amazon gift card to go with it then:)
I know, he will have to do that.
cause crossy cannot send you books if you own a kindle;((((
found it... will send it later, crossy
ok sprite:0
np
Yeah, I'm sorry. But I do have friends who have them and I will get books from them. and from my library.
hi Gail, nice gift
good stuff
fireflies!
I am going to be busy this weekend, loading it up.
yaa for sprite!!
your first reader gail??
congrats sprite
Yes, I finally caved and said I wanted one. I love my books so much.
gail.it will take you a week,maybe 2 at the outside and you will wonder how you mlived without one
That's what I am told. I think it won't take me that long. I can be happy reading a cereal box.
as far as i know,kindles still do not take epub files or i would send you 100 books or so to get you rolling
ok, got the stories, crossy, thanks! (and downloaded an unrar program so I could unpack them...)
I don't want a kindle or nook- which is what I said about cell phones. I assume I will be stuck with one within a decade.
go with the nook kaplan
I DON'T WANT ONE
sorry sue,thought everyone had a zip and a rar program;))
tick tick tick
then do not get one lol
That would be great. I will be having some fun this weekend, though. I know I can get older books free on Amazon.
i don't think kindles will be as forced upon us as cell phones
have zip but not rar, crossy (well, now I have rar!)
I wouldn't have wanted a model-T.
crossy lovingly strokes his nook reader which has 400 books,200 songs about 150 pictures and all my pesonal work files all in it,s loving embrace
rar is handy for moving large files around suze
I think the paradigm has already shifted.
however, i like mine. it is preserving my books that i've read dozens of time from utter falling apart. and when i'm reading a fat book, as i often do, on my side in bed, it is way easier with the kindle, esp at the beginning and end of the book, when all the weight is on one side.
lol,glad it shifted for you..cigarette?
lol
I wish I had been able to have one back when I had a job that required lots of travel. All thos books were heavy to carry. I had to settle for audio books back then.
that was one of my big problems hursh.my library is a tattered mess
The paradigm has shifted on a broad scale. Books are already seen as an antiquated form.
hi hursh
And scrolls? Forget about it!
hey spritey :)
scrolls,i still have wax glyph tablets!!
uusue: 7-zip is a free and good unzipper/unrarrer.
I still use sign language. Me tarzan you jane.
I have a sumerian brick.
Really I do. With cuneiform.
mm,showoff
that's gotta be worth a freakin' lot of money
good thing is,you know it is a first edition
a real pain to convert to epub though...
I can't find the proper dealer/auction house. Too small for Skinner
no you don't! with cuneiform there's only ONE first edition and the rest are all copies.
It is not a copy. My dad got it in Iraq during WWII. Reasearch has shown that it is a document about land ownership, and is a full sentence.
anyways,have to go do some blood work,bbl.crossy grabs his nook and vanished in a puff of paradigms...poink
I can produce a document to show it was not plundered in the recent wars.
I have to go to the gym. Bye.
bye Kaplan
bye crossy, take care!
uusue, could you give me your email addy again please?
uusuzanne at yahoo, sprite
perfect, thank you.
Good morning
Good day to all.
morning, scrabs
Hi dawg. How are you?
doing well, and yourself?
I woke up with a migraine 2 hrs ago and am starting to feel better.
ugh, hate waking up hurting. is it the weather causing the migraine?
Probably--incoming snowstorm. Also, I slept in and my brain doesn't like variation in my sleep pattern.
too bad brain and body can't be disconnected to let one rest and the other do as it wishes.
I woke up at 4:30 and felt rested but that is too early to get up. I hoped to sleep til 6-7 at the latest. Anyway, I was having a really cool dream.
what was the dream?
Duke Univ college campus, which I have never visited but would like to. I love college campuses and often dream about them.
I like discovering the design of campuses and especially seeing really old buildings.
were you discovering new architecture in your dream or fancying something else?
Checking out the buildings, having lunch, swimming in the pool...
sounds bucolic!
Yes, so why wake up from that?
I have always had a vivid, detailed dream life. It's like watching TV all night and sometimes I wake up exhausted.
i rarely remember my dreams. sometimes i remember they were good or weird, but rarely any details.
That's too bad. I often have recurrent dreams in which I am in the same home. But it is not part of my real life. Fascinating.
hmm, maybe you dream so vividly because you are such an adventurer in life?
And I have a vivid inner fantasy life--I live in my head!
i bet you tell great stories, all that imagination just wanting to burst out.
Yep, it helps me to entertain children and to play with them because kids love to pretend.
yes they do! you should write a book or twelve, using your stories and knowledge.
Woot! I just passed halfway.
Good morning, all. Isn't dreaming like that fun, Scrabbs? I always have technicolor adventure dreams too. A sign of high intelligence, obviously.
I should!
wtg, scrabs!
Good conclusion, Judi. I have been dreaming like that since childhood. And I am a lucid dreamer too--fun!
hi judi!
Either that or we watch too much television. Nahhh.
I don't watch much TV. I am thinking of ditching cable TV but I would miss news, some sports, and my favorite shows.
howdy again everyone:
I don't either. I have certain shows I set aside time for. Otherwise, it's all mostly twaddle.
Hi Crossy! Has Blue Mtn opened for skiing?
hi crossy
I pay for 65 channels and most of what is on is awful.
up here scrabby,they are doing trials with "a la carte" cable packages,you get the base pack for 19 bux,then cherry pick tyen or 20 of you fav channels
howdy lbd
not yet scrabby
I would love that, Crossy!
i will jump on it as soon as the trials are over
The ski resort across the valley started making snow yesterday and we will get several inches of the real stuff today. I want snow and lots of it.
We have Verizon. I still can't figure out why we have so many Spanish language channels. No habla.
cause i do not need,10 reality channels,10 news channels,20 french channels and 9 aboriginal channels;(
we were making snow last night scrabby
you can bet they will move heaven and earth to get it open in the last two weeks before christmas
It is financially vital for the resort to open before Xmas vacation. They earn 1/3 of their seasonal profits over the 1-2 wks around Xmas and New Year's Day.
all they need is -3 celcuis to fire up the snow guns
hi again all, we got a dusting of snow last night, our first
Hi Sue.
wb suze:)
When are final exams, Sue?
all my x-rays and blood work done i8n less than 1 hour..it is nice when the system works:)
Shhhhh. Stop saying the "S" word.
hi UU
you kidding judi..we want 10 feet of it
That's great, Crossy.
I want tons of snow! The local ski resorts are chomping at the bit to open, and I want to snowshoe and cross-country ski.
got a sudden call from oncology saying they were faxing requisitions to blood lab and hospital and booking an appt for next wed
Anybody want coffee or tea? I am heading to the kitchen to make more.
*clamps hands over ears* LA LA LA LA LA LA LA
my recs were on top of the pile in each office
hi all...any clues for the an7?
why, Crossy?
SNOW!..MORE SNOW!
not sure scrabby was a suden phone call day before yesterday
finals are done, scrabs, and I am almost done grading
from oncology doc..thought i was all finished actually
Any recent results that made them concerned?
not that i know of,but last visit,they said they had not had the chest x-rays back yet
so news ones today and blood
Students are done, Sue? It's a week or two earlier than I expected.
Ay carumba, Crossy. Get that straigtened out pronto.
keeping fingers crossed for good results, crossy
some new rookie at the blood lab..after poking me 5 or 6 times,i almost told her to give me the darned thing lol
had to show her where my gusher spots were hehe
Hey, if we had a Z, we could have "blintzes".
I looked for blintz too.
hi folks
I always show the lab techs my good veins.
take to t and z off and add a vowel.
Blintzes would go loverly with coffee.
hi welki
scrabb :) feeling much better, doc says lungs sound clear, back to work on monday!
welki--feeling better?
Yahoo! Finally!
no kidding - i love my time off, but not like this
Has it been 5 wks or 6?
first two weeks of november, work one week, three weeks off
There's a bl5/14 that's kind of like a blintz.
This should make your co-workers totally appreciate your work efforts.
i loooooove blintzes
today is techcniclly the last day of exams but almost all the students are gone
When does the next semester start?
that's what they say, scrabbs. i think they just are tired of covering for me *lol*
I had 4 abd/pelvic surgeries from '98-'03 and I felt awful about my partners picking up the load. I hated recovering at home and I returned to work after 3-4 wks instead of taking a full 6 wks.
talk about the pot calling the kettle black!
I am watching the old Andy Griffith show--Opie, Barney...hilarious.
hello ev1 pls a clue for ad7
I actually have no A words yet.
good morning everyone
Hi vanilla and flosey
hi flosey (don't have it, slice)
hi scrab
Van - lemon--- + 4 letter number
I found aw5.
TY, Flosey.
yw scrabs
mmmm...egggs....
Breakfast or lunch, Crossy?
brunch
starting to feel hungry crossy - waiting for hubby to get up
thx flosey what a word
What is your plan with the eggs?
yw van
and with my col score of 2.5 or 96,i am free as a bird:))))
and I do believe I hear his pitter pat now
Yes, you have excellent lipid metabolism, Crossy.
yaa!
rest of the body is shot to heck though lol
sorry, was talking to live people in my room :-)
next semester starts in the middle of january so we have several weeks off
nevermind those "real" people suze:)
Nope, you have a tough body. As for the aging process, be grateful to be aging. And stay active. Keep moving.
Any plans for your break, Sue?
i have to now or that damn knee seizes up
interesting icon sue
and crossy, I hope everything is OK, I never like it when the doctor's office calls back
<-- would rather age than not
there's a lunar eclipse tonight, flosey!
lol, me too welki
oh suze,you would know,is there a celetial even on for tomorrow?
indeed,when they call me i get nervous
event
must watch for it sue, thanks
ahh tonight
i had a mammo this morning - always worried the next two days waiting for the call back
good luck welki:)
you too, crossy :)
ty
so, i saw mrp's pretty disturbing post this morning :(
I need to schedule a mammo. The place I go has us meet with radiologist before departing, so we always know the results.
Do they have the new hi-def mammograms where you go, Welki?
Uh, oh, what happened with mrp?
oh, missed it, do you remember the time welki
that is good, scrabs!
yes, judi - $20 extra. they've had it for several years
lol,we only know the results when we DON,T get a call
look in babble community, flosey
It really is an amazing difference in clarity.
Docs should make sure the patient knows all results, negative or positive.
Leo and I are going to Israel for a cousin's wedding, scrabs! really looking forward to it!!
incidentally, my icon is a clue if you care to check
used to be, scrabs, that you'd hear from the radiologist all preliminaries before you left - too busy these days
babble community?
on facebook, flosey
oh, sorry flosey - it's a facebook page
What did Mr. P have to say this a.m.?
oh, am not part of that
apparently, the money we all sent to ChipIn was not sent on to her and she has lost contact with the person who was responsible for the collection. well, i learned my lesson about internet compassion, i guess
I do not understand mrp's post at all.
Sue, that is exciting.
WHAAAAA?
oh, that's terrible
I know she received some of it. Who do we have to hunt down and strangle for this debacle?!
our treasure has run with the loot my friends..i just wish mrp had waited.was discussing all this last week with a learnerd babbler with clout
treasurer
Can we report the theft to Chipin?
wow, that's the lowest of lows for babbleland
do we really know that to be the case, crossy? Very depressing...
Really?? Wildcat? Is it true?
i have a lawyer looking at all the info now..dammit..wish mrp had waited
it is too soon..
i really have a difficult time with this, crossy - i've "known" that person for years and years (first from another word site and now here) - i've always thought she was a great person :(
sigh...
good morning, everyone -- diving in :)
i posted on FB, judi, asking mrp if she's contacted ChipIN
Hi nan
the chip in acct has been cleared and paid out welki
crossy, i had a feeling last week this is what mrp's cryptic message was about ("should i tell them?") - but was hoping for a change that it was good news
i am waiting for advice from a lawyer as we speak
Okay. I am now officially PISSED OFF! I want names. I want phone numbers. I want restitution.
that will not help judi
live and learn. i feel cheated for sure - but there has to be some reason and i wish i knew what it is.always three sides to every story.
i was trying to avoid this...
very sad...I hope there is some explanation, like difficulty in transferring money or something...
was helping mrp to the best of my ability in this
just seeing this. I happen to know wildcat and there is just no way she cheated anyone!
Does anyone know Wildcat personally? I don't care about losing my money. I can about Mr. P not getting my money.
that is what i care about as well judi
back in october, wild told me that she was having trouble with the bank, but i never thought anything about it
ditto...
and i concur Judi. we were all relatively generous, don't mind losing the money... we had meant for it to go to her of course, but she should have had it
dorens, that's what i was just saying ... there's got to be a reasonable explanation
Well, I am reserving a grain of benefit of the doubt, on the chance that it's some international exchange snafu or something.
well the bank had no trouble cashing one babblers very large cheque..but we will see
just my my aussie lass had not jumped the gun
*sigh* no doubt i've pissed away more on less, but i sure wish the money i sent had made it to its proper destination
well, she is stressed to the max, crossy...
i understand
Could anyone take it upon themselves to contact Wildcat directly? I mean, we can't let someone get away with theft.
it sounds like you are doing all the right things trying to sort it out, crossy - please let me know if there is anything i can do to help
tried that,i have phone numbers,street adresses everything..i have been working on this for a month now my babble friends
I believe that's being tried, judi - probably we should leave it in crossy's capable hands and let him ask for help when the time comes
Thanks for all your efforts, Crossy. I'm sure this is even more complicated given the multitude of countries represented.
let me work in it,and i have other babblers looking at the problem from a legal standpoint as well
then i assume you've been in touch with wildcat crossy?
boy, this is another layer of stress that mrp didn't need!!
we have dorens but by email only so far.i will not get into details here,but she is being..evasive,so we are persuing this
I am saddened by all of this news.
i mean it is easy..take the 2-3 grand,get amex gift cards and send them to mrp,s front door via fe ex
fed ex
UHG! Never again will I send donations to a third party. From now on, it goes directly to numero uno.
yes judi,in the future we will go direct.i hold myself partly to blame as i did not do enough research on our "treasurer"
Our trouble in our development = thefts from our parcel boxes at our mail center. I had a key for a package in a box last wk--empty box. Turns out it happened for 2 days for all 10 boxes.
(((((crossy)))))
At the same time, I am heartened by the generosity of my dear Babble friends.
I don't know what was stolen from the box.
she had the chip in acct,even "set the honey pot" by sending mrp a token 300 or so then this...
anyway I really must get to work - will check back in when I get there - very sad to see that people will abuse others' generosity like this...
it is amazing judi..i will not give names but one babbler sent a donation of $1000.00
That is becoming a very common complaint, Scrabbs. I work at the Police dept. Some guy came in last week and said a group of teenagers on bicycles was following the UPS delivery truck around the neighborhood and snapping up packages that had been left in driveways and on doorsteps. Can you believe??
we will learn from this,and hopefully it is all a misunderstanding and can still be rectified
i hope so too, crossy - thank you so much for all your work on this!!!
(and now I really am off...must get grades submitted!!)
i still feel like crap about not checking credentials
once i hear back from the lawyer i will pass on the letter for you all to read
Not your fault, Crossy. Don't go there.
Bye Sue.
and god bless that we have such a wide range of profession in our babble club;)
In the meantime, if someone can e-mail me Mr. P's home address, I will send her a money order via global snail mail.
Judi, FedEx and UPS leave boxes on my front deck and yes, I have always worried about the potential for theft. USPS is now having us pick up boxes at our local branch (the cutest little log cabin!)
she has a new home addy now judi,but once i get it,i shall pass it along to you
point taken scrabby,i will advise western union money transfer
I am still stunned that a person would pocket donated funds.
Thank you, Crossy. Yes. I know they just moved.
mmm - not seeing any 8's
Crossy, will there be proof of a crime so that prosecution can take place?
just got do8/50
I have no *s or (s
not sure,more learnered heads than mine are looking at all the info now
Time for another cup of Joe. Must go punch something soft and pretend it's a thief's face. BBL. *POOF*
how many words today?
That was supposed to be 8s or 9s
234
Bye Judi. Hi Ouw.
thanks vanilla
hi scrabbler
have a couple of do 6's
as soon as i know anything ,i promise to share with you all
do6 is put a coat on
TY Crossy
so when I did I had do8
do 8 is a pt of a pt?
wow, chat is flying by...can't keep up with what all is going on. will have to read the archives later. but what i did catch...good work Crossy!
actually means to daze or stun
not seeing it
not good enough lbd..let me dig some more
past tense of one of santa's reindeers :)
do3 would be to put on a coat or dress
that do8 is stupid! think of the mountain pass in california. known for the cannibalized travelers, then pt it.
do6 i did it
ty welki
ty welki
nbt, nbs
Time for a coffee now :)
do 8 extends do6 as a further past tense
lol - thought of that, too, dawg, but i didn't think many would know about that!
hows that
24 remaining. need a break.
I have 20 to go as well and I should be in bed
may have to look up round rock texas and find number for the local newspapers...wild has has not seen the like of ole crossy once he is on the trail of something!
i think she's a teacher there, crossy - another reason why this whole scenario boggles my mind
i am still hoping there is a reasonable explanation for all this delay..another reason i wish our overstressed aussie lass had waited
she may be ill,she may have school commitments..we shall see
lets not judge before we know for sure
true words vanillia
i'm sure there is - wild is a service oriented person, donates time to causes - there's got to be more to this.
ditto, vanilla
ill try phoning her again tomorrow
I am so disappointed my donation never made it to mr p
we are not done yet ruru
I should have just wired it myself.. I feel like an idiot
YOu feel like an idiot? good lord.i should have my head examined
should of done it myself:(
but like vanillia says,lets relax a bit more and not get carried away,i have a good learnered babbler looking at all this pro bono
as it were
we may still get this all ironed out in time for christmas..remember.the chip in account had to run till dec third
got my F words so with that goodnight/day all
g'night vanilla
so we are only one week past the funds being released
sweet dreams, vanilla
gn vanillia
Crossy is a detective!
one of my many talents:)
I came in late on all this. Can I ask a question? None of the money donated was received?
the funds were realesed last week by chip in
just checking everything is going ok molly
300 has made it so far
i have the pay pal rect somewhere
recipt
there is still 2000 or so to come yet though
90 left and I need a break. BBL.
tc scwabby
so that is everything.all the funds have now been released and should of been in lisa,s hands for a week now,so nothing is massivly over late.i have just been covering bases last month or so.mrp is under a lot of pressure and is of course anxious for her kids and christmas shopping.
i'm just hoping for the best - thanks for your efforts, crossy
it is my pleasure,mrp is special to me and i am just making sure it all goes as smooth as possible
hope it all appears in due course, crossy!
and hi again all, made it into my office through the snow :-)
time enough for hope yet suze;)
(don't get too excited, there's maybe 1/2 inch although ice is always a worry)
lol sue,we have the snow guns on the hill cranking it out as fast as they can
Hi what's happening on Babble?
I saw that the ski areas in Switzerland were starting to worry as there was no snow
Did something happen to Mrp?
but finally they got a nice storm so all are happy
nope,funds were released from chip in site,and all mailed in cheques have been cashed,so we hope to get it all to mrp as fast as possible
mrp is fine, bichon, you can read back in the chat for the rest (bottom line - don't worry, yet, and crossy is on top of it)
okay, thanks.
is there a list today
she is a little anxious
lol,if my wife heard you say"crossy is on top of it" she would be looking for a cyanide tablet real fast.but yes,in this case i have all the i,s dotted and the t,s crossed
do 8? is it a past tense with a pt added on?
past tense of santas lead reindeer
strange, but true, ty crossy
well not lead one,guess that was rouldoph
oddly the present tense doesn't work. English (or scots or whatever) is a strange language.
nothing as unusual as the English language
hey all
hi, peri!
help with 8's pls. only have the do8 just clued, ty
there are at least 2 de8 according to chog but do not see them
the english language can best be described as a hodge-podge of every other language
howdy peri
wa 8/65 pt of the 6/30
mymuse,i will get mrp,s new home addy and send it to you asap
I know, in FB he is upright, don't know why he's sideways here.
hi muse!
Hi Nan! Sue! DAWG!
muses' dog is doing tricks! lol
yaaa for lbd!
ok, six more exams to grade, then a bunch of messing about with excel and I should be able to post grades later this afternoon.
sure,you dog can climb walls,but can he play dead? lol
Then must grade last homework + exam for the astronomy course although those will be easy. Then I will be done! Yay!
yaa for sue!
lol and there he is about 10 months old. He officially made 1 yr in October.
i see a lot of fun in your future, UU
he's a cutie, Muse
play dead? Snickers can do that only when he sleeps. He has resorted to climbing on my chest blocking my vision or laying on the laptop when he thinks I've spent too mjcn time on it lol!
thanks
how much is that doggie on the ceiling? the one with the spider like paws? woof,woof!
de 6/24?
priceless and not for sale. Amazing how many of this breed I have met so far when I never knew/heard of it before.
Infe** is not a word?
deliner
would you believe I've gotten 3 offers for him so far?
ooops
not in the dictionary Kaplan
easily to believe that, Muse.
Who's in the PB with me, and why can't that be a word
de + alternate spelling for bad smell, bichon
tyvm lbd
anyone have todays stats? Lickety has yesterdays
wait, there's a 2nd de 6/24. Is that the first or second lbd?
volleymom and babanon have lists
"And Toto too?"
nm, I have both de 6/24's
second, bichon, the first is past tense of getting a divot in your car
Divot? No comprendo.
ding
tooth doctor..is a de**ist
a concavity caused by vehicular impact lol
well done, crossy
think i hurt myself...lol
did you de4 your brain?
think so
it is dangerous to use up all the words you know all at once:)
what a wicked twisty grid this was!
yaaa for welki!
yes it is, welki.
grats, welki
dawg, how far are you from billings?
ty
60 to go and stuck -- hate grids like this!
I like these grids because they're more interesting
But I don't try to finish
i have not tried to finish anything over 200 in the last year or so
don't think I'm going to try and finish this one either -- tired of it!
welki, billings is about 9 hours from here. other side of the state
would like to find the 8's I'm missing though
you're more near missoula?
i can help, nan .. which do you need?
have ar, de x2, do, wa
bbl Snickers needs his walk :) have fun all til we meet in the grid again ;)
there are 3 de8 - i'll bet you're missing the pt of getting rid of rodents
lol,my sister had 2 cats named snickers and kit-kat
en 7/8 combo - the last thing you'd read on a page
missoula is about 2 hours depending on road construction or snow
ty welki
bye, muse. come chat more often!
in8 = the snaky digestive organ
are you planning a trip to Montana welki?
isn't that in 9?
got the in 9 out of that,but not the 8 so far
2x wa8 - forms of a descriptor of an action that's unprovoked
lol crossy -- my son named him ... his coloring matched when he was younger...now he is the inside of the bar.
yep, you're right, nan .. overzealous :)
maybe, dawg .. i have friends north of denver, so billings is about half way for us. (but you never know, may venture on down your way too, if i knew where your way was *lolol*)
thanks for that in8 and then poof
ty again -- 8's done and 51 to go
cannot see the de 8,s that have to do with rodent removal:(
de5 - de + rodent (now pt it)
think of the rodent, crossy
will do dawg :)
ty welki
It is not debunny.
Welki, i'm in Kalispell. 60 miles south of the Canadian border, just under Lethbridge!
Or Bebussey.
de8 = pt of de7 (our fate, our kismet, our de****y)
Debussey.
we lived in Lethbridge for 8 years -- been to Kalispell several times
Debussy. I think that's it.
so about 6 hours, i think
de 8: certain -- for sure
it's changed a lot in the 10 years i've been here, and now it's been smackgobbed by the recession.
ty welki
picking up new truck this afternoon - one that can pull our trailer (but probably can't afford the trip now!)
cost big bux to pull the toys
i had friends who tried to start a fresh seafood biz in kalispell years ago
I wouldn't recognnize it now, dawger -- it's been over 20 years since I've been there
crossy, yes it does, but this will be our retirement home (if we're ever able to retire)
lol, well gas in wyoming was the cheapest. we're down to 3.35/gal here in Kspell.
gas is cheap everywhere in the US when you are used to paying over $5/gallon
we are at $1.15 per lit= $4.60 u.s gallon..be thankful
i wish your friends were still here, welki. i'd love to have some fresh seafood!
was 1.21/lit last week
We were at 1.319 when we left home
so would i, dawg - one of the biggest drawbacks to living landlocked
i know, you guys are paying out the yinyang for petrol!
on the other hand, no tsunamis :)
nope have not had a tsunami all week;0
we just have to remember what the gas tax is paying for!
theoretically, we could get a tsunami from flathead lake, especially if yellowstone blew up
indeed cybernan
at least your gas tax actually goes for infrastructure improvement. ours goes to who knows where.
some billionaires pocket or politicians retirement fund.
we try not to think of where it goes..as long as the roads are good enough that we do not have to keep the truck in 4x4 all the time
lol
our town is now the proud owner of three roundabouts!
four wheel drive would be nice, it's the broken axles and bent rims that get old here. the potholes are competing with the grand canyon come spring
big bux there
oh don't get me started on the dumb roundabouts they put in here. grrrrrr
i kind of like them,once you get used to them,they are not all that bad
They're great except in high volume traffic areas
hit the thing doing 55 and let the g-forces drive you into the seat and come out the back end like a sling shot;0
crossy, you've never driven with a bunch of montanans. not always the brightest tacks in the box! but the roundabouts i'm complaining about were put in for trucks! the darn things are too narrow for a trucker to even think of using.
you mean switch back mtn roads?
those are nasty
oh montana..not mountains..my bad
the roundabouts they gave us are huge,trucks cars everything uses them with ease
the "new" route was suppose to divert truck traffic outside of the city center. uhm it didn't. the new route is narrow had three roundabouts that no trucker in his/her right mind would use.
lots of federal dollars wasted on that project!
bet they cost us a ton of cash though:(
too bad lbd
is is sad when they do not do the planning stage correctly
they opened a new overpass on the highway near our house -- it collapsed before a month was up!
the overpass itself is ok -- but the retaining walls on either side collapsed
good grief!
Every time I enter a word I have to reclick the add word box.Is there a solution for this?
did you try refreshing the site, tess?
we are just now starting to replace our older hwy 11 overpasses ..that were built in 67!
jeez, that sounds like what happened in colorado about 10 years ago. didn't put the right stuff up for the retaining wall. caused a big nasty pile up on interstate 25 and ci40
Sweet that worked...thanks cybernan
salt is finally start to eat away at them
okay my friends, must be off for a bit. hope to be back later.
tc lbd
This was supposed to be the new great proven method of building -- funny thing though...the same thing happened with one of the overpasses built for the olympics on the sea-to-sky highway.
yes we had traffic backed up for 5 miles for a couple of days -- the route is the only one going from town to the west side of the lake
Clue for second de8?
de 8: got rid of the rodents
Sorry, I meant the first de8.
de 8: certain - for sure
Tx
Stuck with the two wa8. Any help?
Oh, Molly, not a chore! A happy job!. Chez Soodle is festooned ! We certainly do not subscribe to the 'less is more' theory when it comes to Christmas.
hello all! Hello Mother!
We need to bottle Gran Mere's energy and sell it.
Not lazy lilmonk. I just needed to get some things accomplished. And, the sky is blue and sunny for the first time since Thanksgiving. Yeah.
will I survive adolescents????
and yes, that is spelled correctly...
lots of laundry and lots of showers??
i sure hope so, stid. if you don't, how will you get your revenge by going senile and making them take care of yoU?
I have only a few more minutes, and then I am done for the day. Have had a good day, but was inside the whole time.
Yes, adolescents are just a phase.
oh jes, the way they feel about me today, I don't think I would want them taking care of me. Telling them the hard truths ends up with accusations that I neither believe in them nor love them. *sad mama look*
an5/10?
Mother, I do NOT know how you got through my growing-up years!
how's the grid today, anyways?
ok, I am trying to save my grades and the online system has gone into an infinite loop. Grrrr.
they'll grow out of it, stid
oh sue, that stinks
jes, do critters have a period of adolescence?
an 5/10 ends like the camping shelter
my dog is stuck in that period.
I mean the hormones and attitude? I have never had a critter from infancy, (except squirrels and they are cute start to finish)
thanks.. my brain has apparently decided nto to work today
LOL m!
Are you done with your growing up years?
Mother ==, may I call on my way home?
yes, but most of them don't go through it as much because we neuter.
heh heh.. funny gmere
also, domestication mellows a lot of it out to start with.
oh geez Mother... maybe not!
Yes, call on your way home. The house smells funny because of the rug cleaning.
wa 6/33 and wa 6/30????
okay, thanks. It will be about 25 minutes.
I know I'm not done growing or at least changing.
Going to go see if the principal is in to talk to, sent a couple kids to the office today. Back later. *poof*
and jes, I think maybe we need to domesticate ourselves a lttle more then! LOL *repoof*
wa6/33 is pt of wa4
wa6/30 add not off to the wa4 before it
Brownies at Mom's on the way home from work. How nice.
good luck, stid :)
The brownies I was hoping for were the magical little folks who would do my ironing without scorching or complaints.
never say hi jac to an air plane pilot lol
line
lien
sorry
Hi TO.
Pickles - you pinched the line I always say in reply to that. LOL
Hi all.
PB for me! I typed a word.
Hi wht.
de8,60 is certain or particular.
The is a de8 article.
I'm de8/60ly not giving majmom a clue - she's in the PB. LOL
I am looking for a clue for the last de7.
tx got it and i`ll behave and try to stay out of the PB
de7-fate or lot change the ending to a vowel
Erm, what can I offer in the PB... well, I made bread pudding today and pear and banana cake, and creme brulee. I also made beef cannelloni but we ate that. And you're not eating the holly leaves, berries and ivy leaves I made to decorate the Christmas cakes.
wht - you are de8/50 not to know that word, unless you remove the last lette to make it a 7-letter word.
ty mom. That is what I get for not looking up.
*letteR, that should have said.
Just found the last fi6,30. It was a fishy word.
i think i may need some help jacs - are you finished?
Har dee har, Wht
TO - I can help. List's been in my profile and on BabAnon all day (in UK).
wht - good clue!
thanks
Lickety is up as well.
lickety's list is yesterdays
jacs, i saw an up and coming performer in the new folk genre from britain today
wht - I know, but it wasn't around earlier. MrP has a lot on her plate at the moment and more than she needed from what I read on Babble Community in FB and then checked back through today's chog for.
TO - who was that?
Actually, what shows up in expert says that it is for Saturday, December 10. But it has 234 words and it seems accurate.
Peri - I think Mr.P has recently been in and put a list up.
laura marling. she can really play. her voice is lovely tho the songs a bit jejeune
I don't know about the expert list 'cos I don't use it.
TO - Yes, she's good. I like her.
the date is correct but the total is wrong, but the list may be ok.will lookagain. ty
very young. let's hope she does not peter out like fiona apple did. they were the same age when they won acclaim.
there are no a words in babble expert. going back to plodding along
peri - my list (here and on BabAnon) is accurate but won't help if you prefer to use expert for the facitlities it provides.
TO - I've not heard of fiona apple.
ty Jacs,I was using your list earlier. will go back to it now
clue for the last li7,28 please
... having more fuzzy stuff that gets caught in the laundry drier
a pino playing wise beyond her years songwriter. one big splash then mediocre since
BTW, for anyone who has a bugbear with me due to my spat(s) with MrP re Haz., I believe VolleyDee has a list in her profile, if you don't want me.
ty dos. That is a silly word. I should remember it.
TO - sometimes it happens, that big creative thing and then something in life crushes it. A pity.
jacs, why would you say that?
TO - why whould I say what?
8:20 post re list
li7/28 = weedkiller.
Oh, that TO. Well, I don't want to rake it all up again really, but before FMitch died there was a bit of stuff with MrP re Haz and I strongly objected to MrP's perspective of it and caused a little unpleasantness in the chog, but only because I felt I had to.
i know but if folks want to use your list they will if they don't they won't. don't bother yourself.
But given all that's happened since, and this newest thing re MrP that Crossy is trying to sort out, I feel it's somewhat irrelevant now.
but ty for your help, i am done
uh oh
TO - I'm not bothering, I was just giving an alternative if people want one.
Well done, TO!
well jacs, i can see ihave missed a few beats by not being here
TO - no need for the uh oh. I just hope what we all thing is wrong and that it works out, and that a trusted person on Babble has NOT run off with the money meant for others.
*thinK not thing.
I am so out of things - who's money?
I have an very, very hard time believing that Wild would have done anything like this. Hope we can all wait to find out the real story before creating misgivings about someone. Things have often been very confusing and complicated with mrp, so I simply urge us to wait until we really know something.
oops, i am so sorry, i am going now. jacs, i have one thing to say. Things here are not as they seem. i have opted out of babble fb group and sadly accept no babble friend requests because of some things that have occurred.
Dianne - generous Babblers' money. Someone, I'm not saying who, was entrusted to collect money for MrP and her family in their time of trouble. A lot of money was given but only a tiny fraction of it got to them and the person who was getting all the money for them either has problems/is away/ or has absconded with the bulk of the money.
Holy sh@# - I had no idea this was all going on. How nice of people to come to her help and howbad it would be if some of the money went south. I hope it gets sorted out and that it is all just some kind of mix up.
Eva - I agree with you about that. I've read the chog for the day and what people had to say about wild. I know you can never really know someone, even if you live with them, but you do feel that you come to know people even over years just on the internet. Let's hope there's been a mistake, whether it be wild's or MrP's.
I agree with TO about things not being what they seem. I also strongly urge that there be no rush to judgment regarding Wildcat.
I actually met her when I was in Texas a couple of years back This speculation is very unfortunate... she is a lovely woman
clue for the se7 please.
like jacs, you can see my comments but we are not friends ( no reflection on you at all, jus tthe situation)
hello doren
hi owl. was in hackensack wednesday.. thought of you
I do not like this innuendo and semi-accusations w/o proof. I urge you all to desist. Thank you.
absolutely agreed saan
ta dorens
wht, compound word, you wait for jelly to *** + fishing ****
Dorens - I wonder what's happened? I've seen some stuff in the chog about things being stolen from peoples' mailboxes . However, I think this is a timely lesson about not trusting everything you think you see on the internet.
doren i do not think i will be there again soon after thanksgiving. sad
ty dos and flosey
please don't go Temple.
well said saanichcat, please, why don't we just drop this and wait for the outcome
i repeat... she is a lovely person, and this should not have been aired until they knew for sure. it is tantamount to slander. Saanichcat is right. we need to stop
saanichat - I'm not accusing anyone. I don't know what's happened. Hopefully, time will show it's a simple breakdown of communication.
saanichat?
gotta go, supper's ready
sorry owl. the first of the holidays is always the roughest
Dorens - crossy did say that several times, but MrP decided to make it public in FB and therefore it came over here well before I mentioned it.
not that. more the situation with the rest of the family. oh well!
hmm, i did not see it on fb.
oh, sorry about that owl. family can be touchy. will you be coming up for christmas?
TO - it was in Babble Community on FB.
well their you go then! LOL
TO - family + Christmas can be a timebomb. Who to please? When to please? That's why we go away as a couple evry other year now and stay to do a meal and a day between times, like this year.
well i am pondering if it is too early to begin baking. i saw christmas tree linzer tortes recipe today - a bit labor intensive but very cute
I'm getting worried about all the Christmas cards and the odd gift arriving now, since we all got made redundant a couple of months ago and so can't really get into all that this year. We can provide a good meal and our company, but that's it for 2011.
not to early to begin baking
de7l too early for lonzer tortoes but the moravian gingers keep well and freee well
linzer tortes sorry all
I read a discussion on the chog earlier about not sending Christmas cards one year - one Babbler, who'd been married for something like 47 years, said that when they didn't send cards out one year they then had to spend a fortune on the phone or by post reassuring people they had not split up!
TO - baking is fine, if you have room in your freezer, which I do not. If I did, mine pies, sausage rolls etc., would be going in there right now.
oh my! i did not send last year because of the illness and death but i will resume this year. i did wonder what folks thought but no one called.
TO - no one called? That's awful!
fireworks, for me.
Well done, wht!
i heard someone say sausage rolls..:)
do 8 anyone?
Hi crossy, that would have been me.:)
Last word was to7,28. Hadn't realized it was the last word until I saw the fireworks as I was looking for the next word on the list.
do8= pt of one of santas reindeer
majmom - do8 is a Scottish word for stunned. A bit had to explain... Take crossy's clue below and make it past tense.
what - LOL. That happens to me sometimes as I get enthralled with the chase.
It is a bit of an odd word because the pt is here but the root is not in Enable.
lol@wht
jacs - probably not the first thing longtime and long removed friends think of. I have one friend who sometimes sends her cards in the summer for the previous Christmas.
Congrats, wht!!!!!
Enable isn't 'affectionately' known as DISAble on here for nothing,wht.
TO - that's intriguing. Why does she do that?
perhaps we should refer to it as "diferently abled" no offense intended. jacs she is a free spirit.
TO - AH! I get it. I had a friend like that once. She drifted off somewhere, I know not where.
jacs, i've noticed dachef has been around of late. have you seen him?
When she first began to write to me, I thought that given her name (which wasn't her real name, though I knew that, too in the end), that English wasn't her first language. However, she got her point across, mostly, and we correspondeded for about 5 years. This was 'a penfriend' before the internet stuff.
TO - yes, I've seen dachef but not been chatting at the time.
Good night all. I have some things I need to finish before I am finished for the night.
night wht
As far as I could discern, through letters and photographs she sent me, my penfriend hadn't had an easy life. Her father had left when she and her disabled sister were very young. Her mother was recently disabled by a stroke but hadn't been firing on all valves before that.
'Night wht.
my penpal was from oz. rosalun sumners
As I unravelled the family history of my penfriend, who'd written to me because we both kept guinea pigs, and she could write very clearly on that subject, I realised that her sister suffered from a severe form of Downs Syndrome and she did too, but not so severe.
I wish I knew what happened to her but she just stopped writing one day after 5 years.
can you google her?
TO - my penpal was from Welwyn Garden City in UK.
No, TO. She wasn't that computer savvy.
Anyway, that was about 8 years ago now, since I last heard from her.
She was in her late 40s when she was writing to me and, given that heart problems can beset those with DS, who knows? I doubt that any of her social workers would have bothered to inform her penfriends if anything had happened, OR bothered to look at her computer and SEE the real person trapped inside, because they wouldn't have had the time to sit down and read and look, and SEE.
We both used computers at the time, but she only used Word and Publisher on hers to send me lovely illustrated letters by snail mail. I wrote letters with photos in return.
Talking to myself now, so time to go! LOL
i've been following you there jac
Ruru - LOL, thanks! I was just about to put up a link o that old song, talking to myself.
I had a friend I wrote to for years and the same thing.. they vanished.. not another note or anything
I always wondered if they passed or something
kind of quiet around here tonight
Is everybody meditating?
are you a music programmer TO?
whoooo hooooo AEB!!
Well done aeb.
ah and you don't download.
ty i'm working diligently to achieve the 1030 goal!
TO - I will look them up again. I always give everything 3 hearings before I make a judgement on it.
our audiences LOVE their celtic. I can only stand them becuase they mix in rock world and electronica
and i have moved on to a singer songwriter and now pop. i am liking the pop
I like many different genres of music, TO. Sometimes mixtures work and sometimes they don't. But that's all up to the individual.
yes. i try to be objective because i know that celtic is something our audiences want. so i generally shy away from even reviewing them.
May I please have a clue for de6-21 the 3rd? Thanks
Old blues http://tinyurl.com/26dmank
a type of molding. named beacuase it resembles teeth
Could I please have a clue for the in/9?
New Wave http://tinyurl.com/cuf324e
tabby, in9 is what we have inside us.
tabby - in9 is what your food gets processed through in your body,
Jac's clue is better.
New version of new wave after punk - length of 58 characters and resulted in the following TinyURL which has a length of 25 characters: http://tinyurl.com/5orgy4
Thanks...should have seen that
May I please have a clue for in5-16? Thanks
I must stop now re the music thing!
Actually, that Depeche Mode of Tainted Love could well be many a Babbler's song to Babble. LOL
gap - in5.16 - are you in5/16ing that I'm posting too many music links on here??
What are you hinting at, gap?
help withan o word and then to bed
Which o word, pickles?
Thanks, Jac.
i have the musical one i need the others
od4 = rhymes or ditties, ot5 = scent of old roses, ot4 is a man's name.
New soul - Amy Winehouse http://tinyurl.com/c9cby3w
Old soul - Carole King, same song - http://tinyurl.com/cx6nqhs
can't get man's name
wow . . . mrp's already posted the clues for tomorrow's puzzle :-)
ot4 is a palindrome
got it see you tmoorrow
Une - well, it's a solver she's posting and she's confusing the days now.
yeah . . .
she just posts what Marc set up, as best she knows how right now and I doubt she checks the list.
wasn't complaining . . . just commenting :-)
Odds on it'll be right at some point. She's doing her best.
Une - I know! So was I. x
do we have any update on the missing funds for her family? (from chipin)
Une - All I know is what I rwad from the chog earlier after I read her post on FB. Crossy wishes she hadn't jumped the gun, but is on the case. That's all I know. $2000 dollars missing, $1000 of which was contributed by one generous Babbler, and only $300 so far has reached MrP. That's all I know.
oh, ok . . . i think that's what i saw earlier . . . thanks
WHY do I keep typing 'that's all I know'? Probably because that is all I know.
:-E
what was that? LOL
meant: :-D
I was not a contributor a) because no one in our house has a pai job right now, having all been made redundant at virtually the same time and b) I never trustthat kind of thing on the internet. If I could give some money to someone, I would do it directly.
*paiD job
i did . . . thought chipin was pretty reliable, no?
i've donated to dog rescues via chipin in the past . . .
Don't know, Une. Never heard of it before.
ah, ok . . . maybe a US thing?
Having said that, I think my daughter's runs for BreastCancer might have been funded by chipin. Not certain, though.
Or maybe it was Paypal? I'm really not sure.
May I please have a clue for re5-10 the 1st? Thanks
Well, if the 'treasurer' of the MrP fund HAS actually run off with the funds, and that's a big IF, because we really don't know yet, if she keeps her pc she will be found, even if she's done a moonlight flit.
gap - same as the re6/18 below it but with one less consonant in the middle.
Still on the music trail for TO - 70s Pop - Sweet - http://tinyurl.com/obskru
Don't have the re-16 yet, Jac.
Or TO could try this one (yurgh! Fingers down throat!) http://tinyurl.com/lb9dxt
gap - it's the thing that enables milk to curdle. Comes from the stomach of a calf.
Or try this 'sweet' pop song from 1971 - if you listen to the lyrics, it's not so sweet. http://tinyurl.com/2fcgk5q
And then there were the teen tragedy songs - http://tinyurl.com/2dcuevn
Hi Bobsta. Hope you and yours are well.
usually dont like finishing late causwe that interferes with the new flip
thinking i hae that word but it was yesterdays
true vanilla was greatly relief to find lickety was up
I'm wandering off now. Got a menu to work out and a shopping list to do and then go and get later.
true but the lists in players re appreciated
Will just wait to see Bobsta's reply.
oh yes players lists are great help
I'll go watch some sport for the next half hour see you at the flip
lucky you vanilla i am going to tidy kitchen and make beds
in9 please?
Lists done by players, btw, if they all do it like I do, consist of first finishing the grid, then grabbing your list whilst noting the word, letter and points count, plus the date. Then you remove all but the first 2 letters from each word and put the words into groups, i.e. ra, re etc. Then you check for errors and then you post them.
in9? my last word . . . please?
Une - in9 is part of your bowel. Without it, you could not digest your food.
yay!! thanks! and Firewords for moi!
I'm really off now. GOODNIGHT ALL! Happy Babbling.xxx
sleep well, jac! I'm off as well *poof*
I'm determined to make a flip
