thank you and thus is the cycle of life, Jlilli.

good morning
hi ruby, you good today?
hi rose, usual morning aches and pains but (large) breakfast is finished and cleaned up, so I have a little time tomyself
and you? less and less pain every day, I hope!
atta girl. i've slacked off today. been to church, then not a whole lot of much else
church is good, but no kneeling! lol
not allowed to kneel for 6 weeks.lol got a special dispensation from the man upstairs.
excellent!
oh, btw, i actually dressed myself totally this AM. including hte compression stocking, and doing up my shoes
that's terrific. the compressin stockings must be a bear but are probably worse to remove.....
that's just it, ruby, with all the pre-op physio, i can reach my feet so much easier. i can't believe all the pre-op stuff is paying off in such a good way.
wow, half very fst!
yay, ruby
for me, getting dressed is one of the hardest things in the day, especially socks
(not cloe to nbt or nbs, tough
close*
you're probably closer than you think
Grannyrose, may I ask about your pre-op physio? I'm due for another knee replacement, also a hip replacement, so any hints would be appreciated.
{{christine}} do hugs help?
If only there was a hugger in reach.
I mean, in addition to you, dear.
I have one old one and two fuzzy ones I could loan you....
christine, did a lot of straight leg lifts, at least 10 morning and night, before i got up, and before i went to slepp. also pulling hard on my quads, trying to press the back of my knee into the mattress
My doctor wrote a prescription for me to get a dog - not allowed in the apartment complex, but this may be enforceable
maybe if it's for medical reasons......
An actual prescription, on aregular prescription form.
can't imagine life without dogs
on stationary bike twice a day, built up to 15mins twice a day, increasing the resistance on the pedals, slowly
Oh Grannyrose, after my replacement, I did those, with a tenpound weight on each ankle for the lifts, and same weights across my knees when pressing back on the bed.
i also walked as far as i could along the footpath/road each day, making sure i could get back again.
I'm so bloomin' lazy, but I think I need a stationary bike.
husband uses a stationary bike, 3 or 4 times a week for at least 35 mins and it is making a difference -- and he's almost 87!
christine, doing them pre-op prepares the muscles more than you can imagine, my physio says he has never seen anyone at my stage of recovery with such a great range of movement.
stats, pls, for the lonely f and the 8
usually he doesn't introduce the bike back into the exercise regimen until week 4-5. i am only just on week3 tomorrow
fi4, fi + ** the scene of the crime
What I really want is a magic spell that just zaps it for me - which is why the doctor thinks I need a small dog that needs walkies a couple times a day.
ho8, begins with 4 letters of institution for sick + 3rd vowel + spanish aunt
ty for the 8
i also lost a heap of weight pre-op, about 31lbs
I think the weight makes a huge diff with knees!
Well, since the op, I lost about 40 when I gave up sugar, and I'm sure that's why I can now walk almost a block without stopping. But I have a compromised lungs
atip
sorry for the non-word
well done christine, keep it up
40, just from sugar, that's amazing!
That was 2years ago, can't think of anything else I can give up.
Rubyfoo, if you knew how much sugar I used in a day - 6-8 cups of tea each day with adessertspoon of sugar each time.
* giggle * christine i stopped all processed carbohydrates, plus a few of the obvious ones, like potato, pumpkin, squash, peas, corn
that's impressive, Christine. Do you still like tea?
nofat
We have a saying in my family - it's hell being 39. But my knees started to go at about 20, and the doctors thought I'd be in a wheelchair before 30, so I guess I'm doingokay.
39! I would love to see 39 again!!!!
stick another N in there, and you have no6/27
almost ruby, just add another single hump
I did, rose, after I typed it in the wrong place. Pls don't tell!
lol ruby...mum's the word
I'll soon hit it for the second time -- just a few more years. But 39 was okay, first time around.
I loved 39, but 42-47 were even better!
nose bob and new job at 40! started running at 42
still no bottom f or top u
fi4,a decree, sanction
un7/48
slap me with a porgie!
un7, un + religion
thank you, ladies, 57 words and now I can get dressed or husband will start yelling!
christine, i loved turning 50...realised i was half a century old.....and i could speak my mind, politely of course, with confidence
And I think I'll go - I picked up 22 books at the library, and I'm itching to get to them. See you tomorrow.
50 was grand! 2 1/2 years after cancer, and I realized I'd be fine!
hmmmm, now what could burt be possibly yell if ruby is starkers?
I read where in China (?Japan) at 50 a wiman can say whatever she wants, and be revered because of her age.
by tomorrow you'll have read 11! hahah
later christine, have a good one
he's run away screaming!
Actually, I read 10-12 a week, so by tomorrow, I'll have made a dent in them, but I also need to do some work on quilts for the Children's Hospital.
lol, ruby, well that's one way to get rid of him
that is a lot of reading!
Oh you tease.
he's just invited his daughter to visit (again!!!) in September.
he's just invited his daughter to visit (again!!!) in September.
That's so great, you posted twice??
actually, she's a great houseguest, but after she leaves, all he does is gripe!
oh for pete's sake. can't you go and visit sprite or something?
He spoke more with Sprite than he has with his daughter in many years (combined)
can't leave here at all, now that Ms. Ruby has developed a heart condition.
maybe he can go and visit Sprite!
true, maybe take ruby with you>
How would Sprite feel about that?
I am trying to keep Ruby calm and close, spend hours stroking her, bringing her heart rate down
he won't go anywhere, except out to lunch.....
Poor baby
but she's responding to the meds, so, hopefully, she'll have some more comfortable time with us
I've started trimming her fur, hoping to take some of the weight off and cool her down
and now, poofers!
night dear friends, ruby and christine. of to have dinner. see you at the flip
I'm off, too. God bless.
good afternoon, Babble friends... if any are still around, that is.
Hi Sprite - I am on for a short while - need to do lunch soon
hi Kazz :)
glad for your company, however short
seems a bit quite - folks sleeping in on a Sunday perhaps
yes or are busy with family stuff
we have been out and got some fungus treatment for the garden and we are digging spuds again this afternoon
sounds good! It is raining here again... our summer is kind of a long Autumn. No garden work today.
we had a tremendous thunderstorm yesterday afternoon - v slow moving and caused some localised flooding again
I dear... that is always so bad. I hope Jac is ok!
did you have any flooding yourself?
No we live up a hill - we occasionally have a river down the road but surprisingly here its the roads on the top of the hill that flood. They have dips and hollows where the water cat drain away - it can get exciting
am glad you are ok then :)
I think it would have to to be really really horrendous to affect us badly. We might get cut off in places but generally we are v lucky - even the bad snow only lasted a day or so.
what a blessing!
fireflies. Bye all. Bye Kazz :)
bye sprite - off my self shortly.
hi all...clue for un6/21 please?

25 more words, is there a list? I imagine it would be pretty simple to finish off.
and voila, there is a list..
good morning. where is there a list, please?
lickety
oh, lickety has one!
I never think to look there anymore....
I probably confused by asking for one...
Watching Hallmakrs Xmas in July weekend, and I am kind of annoyed that ALL xmas movies seem to have the same theme- distracted parents, children starved for attention, Santa lose conciousness...and...
hi, trif!
couldn't stand it, went to morewords for the 8. Now nbs and nbt.
I am still not nbt. can't find the i to save my life
i plus shiny cloth. and plural it.
here's something curious....I entered a ti4/4 and ti5/10 that can only be found from the left T, but on my grid it shows it coming from the middle T.
is 6/18 and 7/28
thanks red.
thanks red.
if they're the ones I think they are, they come from the left t on my grid, harry
but my left T shows 0/3 !
Try refreshing.
let me refresh and see what happens
great minds think alike :-)
heh that did it :)
yay!
got a bunch of 3 year olds coming over for a bday party in an hour
time to drink heavily.

Hi Peri and harp
How long do you come for Dan? The weather will; be nice for you up there

hope you can too - long way to come for just 3 days

yw
would be great - will try. i just get so tangled up with the kids when i visit that it's hard to schedule 'independent' activities - but i'll make an extra special effort next time. there are a couple of east coast folks i really want to connect with
I think peri and Dorens would come and maybe TO
i tried to meet dorens on one of our trips, but the timing was wrong
ho8 starts like the place you go when you are really sick and ends in two vowels
I would be happy to help put it together.
and hi, welki and hego!
But I understand about the family part. totally.
Hi Sue
hi sue!
may take you up on your offer when i start planning :)

thanks ruru and teach!
that looks better. It's a twisty, sneaky grid today, I think.
monkeys working overtime and not getting anywhere
my monkeys have a migraine, apparently. Even coffee isn't helping much. *sigh* BUT -- teach, I got so much done last week!! *proud mama look* Little things at a time, and I am finally seeing progress in the house and yard! :-)
27 and blind.
congrats mama - have dedicated this afternoon on making a dent on cleaning the kitchen
I will come back and list later - just finished a 3 yo double birthday party here, and now taking two other kids to another double birthday party
aah just got the japanese word. 26 now.
good for you, teach. the kitchen is the last thing on my list (for a change), have the living room halfway to decent, so my next task is clearing out my office so I can use my workbench and do art again.
go harry go!
oh... 3 yo parties... *sits down from exhaustion*
yeah - looks like I picked the wrong year to quit coffee
HH, LOL! 6 year old water slide bday party yesterday (in the rain) and combined 9 & 12 y.o. pool party today. At least they were separated by a nights sleep.
(holds cup of coffee) "from my cold dead hands"
We did our parties up to about age 6 at either the children's museum or the Y -- partly because our homes wer so very tiny and partly because I knew I needed extra help to herd all those little people
amelu, I feel your pain
LOL ruru! what sort of wine goes with coffee, I wonder? Brandy?
I see that! (and I, yours!)
oh man, amelu! but I bet the kids had great fun
brandy
if you have a water slide in the rain, do you even need to turn on the water?
definitely so! unfortunately there were those who were put off by the weather... No, HH! Saved the well/pump, lol!
hm. suddenly down to 24.
ok 24. bbl
I had a couple of parents text me later 'is it still raining there?' LOL! Really? I guess they're all supposed to stay dry on a water slide?

ty
doyou have the other si7 or the ho8
i + smooth, shiny fabric and then plural. No ho8 yet.
ty
ho8 sounds like where you go when your very ill but the last 2 letters are vowels
kardashianhouseia
excuse me.. ho-kardashianhouseia
OMG I love Isabella Rossellini's green porno short films!! "A sea urchin is just a large reproductive organ . . . it has 5 gonads and no brain"
ho8 rhymes with the name of Gomez's true love in The Addams Family :-)
If I had 5 gonads.. I wouldn't have a brain either
LOL
"cream of the Crop" Ruru = 9 points.. *disclaimer.. he has 5 gonads*
and there you have ti
*it
exactly
just gave Dylan a bath..he's not too happy with me right now
aaawww, but now he's all soft and fluffy and sweet-smelling :-)
yes.. and cranky
I love your dog stories une
I think I'll be involved in rescue when I retire.
cool!
there's a huge need for drivers, that's for sure
even drivers with 5 gonads?
just keep it to yourself and you'll be fine LOLOLOL
At yesterday's bastille day celebration the spca had a few dogs from californias..is this a new trend? there are so many local dogs needing homes.
I would think if you are a driver with 5 gonads..you wouldn't be able to drive a clutch
hey TO
not personally an expert on vehicle management for the multi-gonaded
lol.. smart thinking
hi une
hi TO
that's odd about the dogs from California . . .
That's what I thought too
or do you think maybe someone(s) on vacation was in the area and abandoned their dogs?
i thought so. i know it was done from hurricane struck states
perhaps they are now ere and the folks were trying to jazz up their bios
:-)
brb
ruru's gone off to count his gonads
you know, it is a big pr thing to get orphans adopted now
*poof*

Thanks, alta! if you like warm, you would like it here today...
been so nice here all week too, till today.....much needed rain but it sure ruined my plans! golf tourney rained out!
oh, bummer :-(. We could use that rain here! Corn fields are all dried out.
as long as the farmers are happy, guess I shouldn't complain about a golf game
not liking this grid much!
It is a little stinker. I can clue if you want.
nah, thanks I'll slave away for a while on my own first but ty for the offer:)
hey sue and alta. down to 20 earlier... back for a little bit...

ho8/50
thanks sue!
yw!
that's the H I was looking for. hope your weekend is going well?
yes, although right now it is too hot
sorry about the heat. It's gray and humid and looking thundery again here. And not very warm.
I think it's better than your heat, though.
I think so too. The crops are not doing well, and all the lawns are crispy brown.
Our crops are late, and need more sunshine to sweeten, but at least they are alive -- a bigger concern for me is that with the damp weather there is a lot more underbrush and grass growth this year. If we have a late long, dry summer fires are going to be really out of control.
Fires are usually not a worry here, but most of our corn is already tasselled (VERY early, and some quite stunted) and some is already dry.
oh, that's really awful. Poor farmers.
ok, I am too hot here and need to go where it is cooler. BBL.
