glad somebody is finding this easy -- of course it probably helps to be awake.
it ain't too bad jilli
I did it without a list and you're way smarter than me
I am not smart at this at all
phooey.. of course you are
you are one of the best players here
I keep finding words that are "not in the dicitonary"
nobody can find volcanos, hairy nosed dolphins, or hawaiian geese like you can :D
ruru, you're delusional, m'dear. I haven't finished one in ages.
rofl!
:D
..not to mention small forest buffalos
but ruru, you finish it without the list all the time. I can't even get halfway without Lickety and morewords and clues from others.
ah.. you're so modest jilli
I struggle at this more than you and flosey
I do okay for a goat :D
silly ru
flosey's a whiz at this, yes.
Une is going to be on pins and needles now.. nadal and Djokovic in the finals
I have to say Nadal is going to crush him
I might try to remember to watch that game
should be memorable jilli
nadal breezed in.. novak had a tougher match
I don't think I've seen Nadal play better lately than this..
what time will it be on TV, ru?
monday at 2
I won't be able to watch it.. have to work
didn't get to see today's match -- was transporting dogs -- but tres excited about Monday!! :-)
<<<< was transporting this precious gentle giant, Marley
Une - I have seen a TV programme in which dogs are transported across America to go to new homes. I think people select them from a website. Is this what you are involved in ??
yes -- petfinder is the website
off to bed -- gnite! :-)
Aah well then you will be added to my favourite people list - I so admire people who give up time to assist animals in need - fabulous you
and goodnight

hello marigold!
hey all. Popped in to see the size of the grid before I toddle off to dreamland.
and away I go, found 40 words in 5 minutes. Glad so many are simple!
good morning all
cooee from down under.
hiya rose :)
Morning rose
hey ya sprite.{{hugs}}
and morning to you, also, anita
d*hugs rose back* Hi Anita!
Hi sprite
how's life down under, rose? And with you, Anita?
I'm good ty sprite, usually just stay quiet and do the grid
life is good. sorry have to go. DH is feeling frisky....that's my middle name...lol
glad to hear you are good, Anita.
lol rose... enjoy the frisky husband :)
Bye rose
ahem *shamefacedly tiptoes back into chog* now where were we?
hehehe... that was a quickie, rose
yeah, what you might call a speed hump...lol just remember we're a couple of oldies, young lady.
:D you sound pretty young to me!
gosh, i love this man of mine...
he certainly sounds like a keeper
and a stayer, too.
good for him
don't think he is ever going to have cardiac issues...
sprite, how's tha family life going?
no... if he did, you would know by now, grin
*giggle*
same, rose. Very unpleasant. Hanging in there till Wednesday.
good on you, sweetie. i'm proud of you.
thanks hun. That helps :)
btw, that info i gave you about my youngest? it was mainly to show you that i know and understand what you are experiencing.
Yes, that is how I read it, rose. But still wanted to know how you are dealing with it etc.
work is good. stood my ground the other day, and refused to do a task, which required not only walking, but standing with no option to sit.
very good, rose! That took guts. Not easy to say no.
no it's not, especially to this particular work colleague, who is more a friend. but she was okay, and understood where i was coming from.
that is even better. Guess she didn't think when asking you to do it.
i do have new work restrictions in place. and she was unaware of them. once i told her, she just shrugged and said we have to keep you safe first of all. such a nice thing to say, when i felt pretty crumby turning down her request.
aw that is a very good reaction. Exactly, that should be their focus. Am glad they are supportive, rose.
have no doubt, dear, my work mates are very much concerned and caring for my well-being. it is the upper echelons, shall we say, who can be quite harsh.
indeed. The so-and-sos.
ah well, to them the almighty dollar is supreme importance. the workers can go jump...
too true. Seems to be the general way of thinking nowadays. I call it the 'people are 'fridges' mentality. You can pull the plug, move them, plug them back in and they work again. And if they don't, throw them out and buy a new one.
absolutely sprite.
lol, just informed DH i had a bottle of his favourite wine in the fridge, asked him if he would like a glass.....he handed me his milk-shake container.
:D I like that man!
so do i, sprite, so do i.*giggle*
you much more than just like, grin
yeah!!!!!
am glad my love and I are on the same page again... it is hard to keep things ok when there is so much ugliness in da house.
isn't it strange? love and like? you would think they go together...but sometimes they don't. weird!
oh too true. Like without love, often. Love without like... sure happens.
that is so good sprite. just stay with him, and him with you....only way you two and caya are going to make it through.
yes... so very important. While the tendency is, with all the tension, to snap at eachother. Sigh. But going better now.
btw, saidyounger son and wife turned up to visit. it transpired that when they had that really bad day 3 weeks back, i was the only one who didn't tell her to go home to mummy and daddy. in stead i pushed her firmly towards counselling from an impartial person.
I remember! Oh that is so good. In his heart of hearts he knows you are the one that loves him unconditionally and will tell him the truth because of that.
they are so obviously still very much in love. and they are both benefiting from the counsellor. unfortunately, some people are still trying to advise them. i told them that it was a no-no. it waters down the advise from counsellor.
and I so agree about counselling. You have committed to eachother and the relationship when you married... so you have to try everything and anything before deciding to give up.
oh yes. Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the dish, as they say here. Can't have more than one captain on a ship.
absolutely sprite. DH is very proud of them. as he said, too many just throw the towel in at the first disagreement, rather than work hard at solving the problem.
I couldn't agree more. The best marriages are not the ones where they never have rough times. But the ones where they work through it and stick together.
* grinning at you* like you and me?
absofreakinlutely :D
did I tell you my love and I had counselling in the early days of our marriage? We had to learn to communicate better.
yeah!! you and, we are partners, you and me, we are friends....
we're the great association, one that never ends.
:D
we have this strangest ad here on TV... about 'second love', a dating site for people who are happily married and yet want someone on the side.
that btw was the theme song from a childhood show, featuring 2 clowns called zig and zag. but i think it's appropriate here, also
No law against flirting, is their byline.
aw awesome, rose! I googled the lyrics but couldn't find the song. Very good text :D
oh yes there is...it is written right here in grannyrose's laws of love and marriage.
good!
I told my love I had not enrolled in that dating site. And he said: "Oh, in that case I'll just write you an email."
*splurts wine* you are kidding, right?
not about the site. It is for real here.
not sure if your browser can translate sites... this is the link: http://tinyurl.com/pjx4br2
but my love was kidding about having enrolled of course... and so sweet he was of the same mind as I... if we want to flirt, we do it with eachother.
fireflies :)
all right, sprite. i still flirt with don....it surprises him sometimes...
WTG SPRITE!!!
must be off to be useful... sorry to have to go. *hugs* for you and a wave for Don. Have a lovely evening and a peaceful night.
and you, dearest friend.xoxox
hi all

{{little pugs}}

uh oh, there's thunder again
Iam really running late this morning! I bet Ive missed Rose and Sprite----better be careful Ruby if its lightening
my brain will be pithed and my computer zapped lool

Well I for one would miss you and Iam sure alot more would too
{{pugs}}
a friend of mine, for more than 30 years, died on Friday and I just found out yesterday. I am very sad
Myself, I like storms and rain as long as its not the kind thats out to destroy eerything in site
ahh Ruby, Hugs of comfort---Iam so sorry and I feel bad for you. I can feel your pain way over here
Happily, she and I were just in touch 2 weeks ago. She lives in England and I saw her much more often when I lived in Miami
Lone d.....da4/9
thats nice you had that little time before she went to meet our Lord. Has she been illed
No, she was old and her husband said that her whole body gave up at once. She didn't suffer
Thats a blessing then in itself. Did her husband then contact you
yes, he called me last night which, I thiought, was very thoughtful of him, since we're not family and he knows I can't go to the funeral
yes it was. Yesterday I took Beulah to town with me and we went to a store that allows dogs. she just loves going there because of all the pets she gets and treats. She puts on this act likes shes some queen--lol
I think Beulah is a queen dog! And you are her lady in waiting lol
she's so funny to watch. Now Annapooh, I dont know what it is about that store but she has to poop on their floor everytime! She doent do this any where else. But she loves going too. So I always carry a clean up kit with me--lol
that is too funny. Each dog has his very own personality and quirks
do you ever take your dogs with you anywhere?
no, it is too difficult as neither one has been in the car with us since their arrivals. When Raffie went for her surgery, the vet picked her uppand brought her back
Ive yet took Else because shes a bit stand offish with strangers and Iam abit worried she might snap at a child or someone just wanting to pet her.
I can't lift either one and my husband is useless
and now, it's time for my lie-down
the storm is worsening and I'm shutting down
If you must --lol going to miss you
{{little pugs}}, see you latyer
bye Ruby and be careful--hugs
later*

Morning cluers
Hello hego
Hallo Bilt
bbl, bye :)
Buon giorno!
Buon giorno signora Scrabbler.
Asmallgridfullof vowels.
yippee!!....NOT
Hm, my space bar is havingissues.
I see that.
Testing, testing, testing. OK, it seems to be working now. I think a crumb was under the bar.
I have enough crumbs in my keyboard to make a sandwich.
I held the laptop over my head and gently shook it.
You are kind, i bang it on the desk.
Hey all. happy bday cousin!
Hi Stid. Thanks. I am on the phone with my Mom now.
is it Scrabs bday?
:-)
Buon compleano!!
yep. she's OLD(er than me)
Yes. Buon compleanno per mi!
And many, many more!!
And hiya Stid.
I told my students this week I am OLD, but I wouldn't ever tell them my age... :-)
Great to hear about your job Stid. :)
You are a kid to me Stid.
I love the Italian and Spanish for birthday: completed year. What a great idea, to mark a successful end of something.
I'm your mom's age.
I am so excited for you, Stid! Your students are very fortunate to have a motivated, dedicated teacher.
LOL hego - I wouldn't think so... but then I suppose one's mother has been around since the beginning of (one's) world so no one else can be that old?
And she is yet very young too.
A terrific lady, your mom.
I am pretty happy, too -- and feeling as if I have a handle on what is going on already. Not completely certain of the whole scope of the year, but certain I know what I am doing this week AND next... and an idea for the week after as well. And it has only been about 10 days since I was hired. Starting at the beginning of the year is WAY easier than coming in part-way!
one step at a time.
Everyone is young compared to centenarians.
Mother is about as amazing a person as I know, hego. She is kind, and loving, and smart and funny. Also, she makes yummy foods for me still --
except that 107 year old who was shooting at the cops down south (they shot back, he didn't make it)...
Oh, my
Stid, you don't have to be a perfect teacher now. You will fine-tune your methods and supplies, and build a portfolio of materials.
Thanks, Scrabs -- I know. And NO teacher is perfect (when they think they are, it's time to retire). But I am actually competent and this feels very good.
yes, hego -- it was on CBS news last night. Arkansas. So sad, I wonder what made him snap?
Poor old dude
Maybe a suicide by cop?
possibly, sounds like he was combative enough with other people in the home earlier that perhaps he was just distraught, or having a flashback of some sort? It just makes me sad when anyone does something hurtful.
A great teacher cares about her students in a global way--psychological, educational, social, needs. Kids need to know that their teachers truly have an interest in them.
But as a teacher I know that sometimes people show up already past the point where one can reason with them. Sometimes it becomes necessary to just protect everyone else. (Not that I would advocate harming a student, just that sometimes a trip to the office is preferable to exposing the other kids to a rapidly escalating situation...).
Yes, some kids have special needs.
What age are your students?
I am glad I am not a person with a gun. I wouldn't want to have to kill anyone, even if it saves others. I would want to find any other way... but maybe for some reason there wasn't time.
I have middle schoolers. They are so great to work with!
I don't envy that!
puberty, ugh!
Smart, capable, interesting -- although they do have smelly feet (our first project is using templates of our shoes to serve as the "hook" for an about-me type of activity.
It's pretty fun, they have to use literary concepts (main idea, theme, etc) to describe themselves.
lol
Actually, it's nice to know they are working through those changes -- it means when they are grumpy it really isn't personal!
Tumultuous years = middle school. It is crucial to keep kids on track because so many "go to the dark side." Too many kids lack supervision and guidance from their parents.
True about the parents, scrabs, so when they are in my classroom I am clear that I am the authority, and they don't have any choice other than to do the work. Also, at this age I can be brutally honest: they are responsible for their own learning. Their work now determines where they will be in high school and beyond. And I can get them all to the point where they can thrive later on, but not alone -- if they don't do the work of learning, it's their responsibility, not mine.
Yes. I tell kids that they must create the future that they want for themselves. That everyone has to pay their dues and earn their way.
At this age... I am also silly and goofy and I let them see my flaws and hear me talk about when I don't succeed. Because I think they need more than anything to know that one isn't always successful at everything -- one can be successful in life with an abundance of corrections and mistakes!
It doesn't always "stick" with them, when the story told by society is the story of luck and nepotism/networking... that people just fall into good jobs or money; rather than earning them.
We do a disservice to children and young adults when we don't acknowledge that life, learning and success are difficult.
Halfway. Bbl. nice chatting. hagd.
And another important message is that mistakes = lessons. Learn from the mistakes of your own and of others.
They need to know that life isn't always fair, that sometimes they may be homeless, hungry... I was for a while. But I never stopped trying, never stopped working.
Later hego - have a wonderful day!
We are going out to the house to see what is left after our rainstorms. They couldn't pour the foundation last week because of the rain, but I am hopeful that they will be able to this week.
Ciao, Hego.
anyway, speaking of kids, how's the youngest in the clan doing?
Jaxson is a total joy. He is always happy. He is a busy explorer. Best of all, he loves books and independently goes to his book stack and "reads" books.
First words = "tic-toc", then "ite" (light).
wow. that makes me so happy. I bet his parents are just tickled pink to have a curious, bright child!
great first words. I can't remember Matthew's first words... but I know he had about 50 by the time he was a year old. He was a TALKER. Still is.
Jaxson, interestingly, prefers books with photos. He does not like illustrations. So I have bought him a huge collection of the DK books and Roger Priddy books.
that is interesting. Does he attend to text at all? I know he's still really young. I wonder if he is more attuned to details than others his age. Matthew noticed words on paper at a fairly young age.
These books have a photo with the printed word next to it. He actually "studies"--staring intently, pointing...
He will be 14 mo on Tuesday.
wow. 14 months already? I thought he was still closer to a year. sounds like J will be hard to keep up with.
He is very busy--climbing, exploring non-stop.
good morning everyone....is this grid hard or am I just a mo***?
It is tough, gypsy. I am up to just 44 words.
gypsy, this is challenging as a grid
I'm struggling with only 35 words
but thanks for that mo5. Lol
I am down to 45, but started last night and got to 45 then. It's going slower and s l o w e r!
45 here
So I should head out. Buon compleanno, bella! Mangia torta e gelato! which almost exhausts my working vocabulary... (((hugs))) enjoy your day. Tom sends his love.
see we have lickity, think i'm going to list....hagd stidmama
Ciao, mia amica!
It's sunny here, going to be warm, and I can focus mostly on house and family today. It feels like a vacation! *poof*
watching the joy of reading "click" with a younger child is an amazing thing
Good morning, Crossy! Yes, I am thrilled that my nephew loves books.
as i have said before the best gift i have ever gotten in my life was not from a parent, not from my beloved wife, not from any friend, but oddly enough from a public school teacher from long ago whose face i cannot remember and who's name i no longer know.she taught me to read.she worked with me till it 'clicked" and that unknown unnamed teacher gave me the world
lovely cross
Nice, Crossy.
lol,ty,jubi.mrs would say i have the verbal case of the trotts lol
titan
ty,scrabby.you always give the best clues;))
Crossy, I tell my older students that I teach to read that it is the greatest gift I have to give. Your words were eloquent.
ty,fuzzybunny.it is a gift indeed
Free clue! Don't miss it!
It was a lovely one!
damn already had that one scrabs
lol, problem was that it overclicked for a bit.i used to skip last class for a bit in order to have a hours uninterruped reading under a shady tree in a field between school and home
...waits for next one
So, what do you need, ruru?
I'm not tellin...:D
My kids at school know that when I look tired it is because I stayed up to late reading
"too"
and e-books have only made it worse now in later life.now i can have hundreds of books right at my fingertips no matter where i am ;)
Sometimes I don't read before bed because some books cannot be put down.
I have not embraced e-books. I still like to be able to look back and look ahead at what I am reading. I also like being able to re-read the flaps and back cover occasionally.
It is those books that can't be put down that get me in sleep trouble!
Gird O' Babblets :)
I have an e-reader but still prefer paper books.
Hi HK--haven't seen you in ages.
Heya Scrabs!
ahh, those amazing stories where you just lay there not eating, not drinking your tea goes cold, the dog takes your sandwich then you look up with blooshot eyes to discover it is now 5 am and the world around you for a brief moment seems less real than the world in your hands, but after a moment everything snps back into place..and you are a little sad
clue for the solo S on the left pls
Nope, don't chat much anymore.
Jeff, I am looking at that S and D now. Moneky has not been successful yet.
sa4
the d is a weird da 4/9
darn typos
got the S, ty
OK, I found the d4 but am looking for the s4.
Got it now.
am very sad. having trouble reading as the vision in rite eye is filled with floaters. only will know what is going on weds. wehn i see eye dr.
had my brother ship me over a pair of nook hd tablet/readers.they are over 50% off and are a great little thing
sa4 is a babble regular
ta 5/20 and 6/33 -- the specialty of Congress and our purported reps ...
Aw Ivesy, I'll keep you in my prayers.
my beloved gets floaters, ivesy.it is a pain indeed
oh, so sorry ivesy -- I've had floaters as well -- kinda scary
ivesy, so sorry to hear of your vision troubles, I wll send good thoughts your way.
I' ve had floaters my whole life
morning une
it is very scary.. hoping that its only floaters and nothing worse...and ty for the good thoughts and prayers
Ivesy, are you seeing a doc in Dunkirk? My med school classmate is an ophthalmologist there.
even before I did drugs :D
I have floaters too--very annoying.
yes scrab.. who is it?
Michael Lahood. I am the pediatrician for his kids. Smart, nice guy.
ivesy, did the vision troubles begin abruptly?
watching repeat of rafa yesterday, ru :-)
oh ok.. my mom goes to him. i imagine if its anything serious i will be referred to him. and yes it started suddenly.. hoping its just stress
Ivesy, visual disturbance is not stress. It could be a detached retina and that is an emergency!
how about that passing corner shot from the other guy .. amazing shot
i know scrab.. thats what worries me. plus i am a diabetic.
Or it could be a posterior vitreous detachment which is common and not serious.
could be babbleitis ivesy :D
that's moi, scrabs -- doc said not to worry
I had a PVD 2 yrs ago and it scared me a lot until I learned the diagnosis. I saw a retina specialist immediately.
well i have very limited vision in this eye , myopia i guess its called. but sue can see those floaters clear!
the mrs and i send you our best wishes, ivesy.my beloved has had eye issues for decades and has had cataracts removed from both eyes, artificial lenses put in and now gets growths lasered off the backs of the lenses on a regular basis.but her vision is holding at 20/400 and for that we are greatful
i hope its babbliitis ruru lol
well I'd take PVD over PED any day :D
ty crossy and mrs crossy.
i know i have start of catracts. he told me last time i was there.. well i am getting old
Which PED do you mean, Ruru?
cataracts themselves are an easy fix, ivesy unless they are allowed to get "overripe"
Keeping it PG rated scrabs :D
he said they werent ready yet. wonder in they progress that fast..been less than six months
OK, I figured you were referring to a type of ED, haha.
Good morning scrabs, ivesy, ruru, crossy et all!
howdy,jilly
I finally passed halfway!
that was the joke scrabs
Grid looks a little daunting today...
I know, Ruru.
Guess what today is, kids?
a morning show on the tele
Um...Sunday ;)
hello o-o
Hello
It's my birthday!

Well, whilst not yet giving up the day job, I'm immensely proud of my kitchen's new primrose yellow walls, the gleaming paintwork & the soon to be sky blue ceiling. For a person who didn't know her matte from her gloss, I'm smug & self satisfied!
*Pats Soodle on the back*
As a career pen-pusher, I am loving seeing a job started, in progress, and finished.
*Having a thought about a pink and blue kitchen*
Oh wait, you said primrose yellow. Now I'm confused.
Googled it. Yellow and blue...pretty pastels. Whee!
Yellow and blue is my fav combo!
Its the fact that I did it myself thats so great! Feeling very proud! (Even though I ache in places I didn't know I had).
Proud of you too!! I did a mini reno of our kitchen quite a few years back...it is tremendously rewarding!
*Pats Soodle on the back again. Plans a parade in her honor*
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everybody doing today?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!

Good for you, Min!
That's what I say about texting. Is it so hard to pick up the phone and call someone?
WTG minv!!
Thanks for the recommendation, Soodle. I'm adding it to my Netflix list.
I agree Min. Communication between people has become so sterile.
While I agree that we communicate in the same way, it would be impossible to comment on everyone's status. Try and think of it as waving at someone guys...no words, just a gesture of hello.
*do not communicate
Sorry Min -- got distracted. I use a format featherbee gave me when I was student teaching. It's really just for me, but they came in handy when we had the fire. I try to plan two weeks out but only print the coming week in case there are changes based on the previous week's work. Right now... I would say that I could probably plan most of next week as well as the coming up one! It's amazing to me how quickly I have managed to get a rhythm already.
<likes> Jill's comment
actually, sometimes I text/IM Tom and Grant just to get their attention... LOL then I talk at them for a while.
It's just me and my throw back feelings about things. First we quit writing to each other, then we quit calling each other, now we just <like> each other on Facebook.
Do you have to give your lesson plans to your administrator
LOL stiddy...too true
People may not agree on communication protocols. Even so, that circumstance does not prevent people from communicating in a manner they prefer.
I also think it is funny how people have 300+ friends on FB.
Yep. 300 friends on Facebook, 6 friends in real life.
There should be a T-shirt that says "May you someday have as many friends as you pretend to have on FaceBook".
I do have that minv...between connections with friend, relatives, classmates and former youth ministry people
Min, we need to shush. People get very testy about Facebook. : O
I have 58 friends on FB, do not really have 58 friends.I also have friend requests that I have not responded because I'm not going to pretend to be someone's friend when I'm not.
I text my kids to ask when would be a good time to talk to them. I find it amazing how many people think that because they phoned someone when they were free, that the other person would be too.
16 years of youth ministry...there quite a number and it is a blessing to watch them finish school, get married and have children.
Hello Bugsaw! How are you doing today? Welcome to chog.
I also do a lot of coordinating with my boys via text...same thing bugsaw
Well, you can text someone and they are not free to answer you either.
If people are amused, is that not good? I do not have a Facebook account. I thought Facebook was a before and after photo album prepared by a plastic surgeon.
just arrived. thanks for the welcome Min
I am totally guilty of texting when I do not want to pick up phone and call someone. I also prefer texting than talking
I text when I want to send a message but I don't care when they get back to me
When it comes to connecting, texting has some definite advantages, time being on, and that you can look at what you send, unlike speaking...LOL
I am not keen on using my phone for the internet tho. I like my privacy
LOL o-o. I actually got on FB 6 years ago because of youth ministry.
People get mad at me because I "NEVER" have my cell on. I only have it on when I am at work. I do not even turn it on until 12:00 PM and then I shut it off as soon as I get home.
I always enjoy being amused. : )
Well, jars are done sterilizing....back to canning.
All the comments just made about texting fall into what I said earlier. Sterile communication.
Jj, maybe the conversation should go in with the jars?
Yep. Let us discuss the weather. Or puppies and kittens.
They ask me,"what is the point of having a cell phone if you never have it on?"There've been times though when I should have kept phone on. For example, I got several texts once saying there was no school because of snow.I never got the text and drove two hours in a snow storm
I would like to communicate about various cognitives ... distortions, dissonance or polyphasia ... but have found any attempting at carrying on such a conversation to be fruitless.
I am finding it difficult to do a story of clues w/today's grid
I am finding it difficult to FIND any words in todays grid. : )
Hello DR1965! How are you doing today? Welcome to chog
I'm not sure why people here get so freaked out by a difference of opinion. We don't all have the same thoughts about things.
HI DR. It's a grid full of weird words.
hi Min and Molly
ok that was odd... I tried to enter a ti5 and it said it was not in the dictionary but I know it is a word so I tried it again and it took it.
I guess that is sort of how my day has been
Because I express an opinion does not mean I am freaked out ... nor must another assume I believe only my own opinion is correct.
And yet the conversation about Facebook and texting needed to go in the boiling water with the canning.
That, of course, is not what I said. It was an attempt at humor ... sterile conversation and sterilizing jars.
Putting the conversation in with the jars assumes the conversation is not sterile.
Oh my. Inane ramblings of soodle destined for the bin.
I started babbling this mo4/5ing. Did not feel like a mo 5/12 babbling today. I am saving last word. Now here is a story of clues. I briefly had a job as a ta4/9 driver. Tw 4/8 the worst job ever! One time I picked up a tr 4/4 of college students who were a bunch of mo 7/32. When I picked them up,they were standing in the middle of the ro4/5 and wouldn't move out of the way. When they got in the car I could tell that they were very ri5/10. I think they were so happy because they were quite inebriated While they were in the car, I had to listen to the so6/24 details of how one of them was having an affair with an older woman. When I dropped them off at their college do4/6,they give me a tip that was so di4/5 cheap. They also left wa 4/9 of gum & paper on the floor of my car. Fortunately I ended up getting mo4/5.Was so sick,I was out of work for a month. I figured that was a good time to quit and so I did. Hubby, who's an4/4-Babble wa 4/8s the computer. I'm going to go watch the Jeremy Ir 5/10 movie The Man in the Ir 4/4 Mask. I hope that you have obta4/4ed more words with this story. I'll be back later.
Hi Soodle! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid.

Hello stidmama! How are you? Welcome back to the chog.
good evening.

Hello phandmd! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
... or interesting, eh, Jellen?
True that, stid
I'm almost done & have posted story if anyone's interested.
Thanks, I am pretty tired. Had a busy day. Power washed back deck and front porch. Had a flood in the house, and then washed the van.
how are you?
I am enjoying it so far. About to start reading through the syllabuses to see if there are any concerns from parents they noted (we made space for that on the signature page).
The flood does not sound fun.
BIG work, phand! How's Cade?
Had a dream last nite my washing machine overflowed and I had a flood downstairs. Glad I woke up to a dry basement
definitely not. My house guest took a bath and apparently that over flow thing tubs have, well it's not connected to a pipe and the flood came through the ceiling! At least the floor down below is ceramic.
He must be doing better, thanks for asking Stid. I haven't seen any news otherwise. He lives in GA and I am in MD so FB is usually how I hear about stuff.
Sorry to hear about your troubles.I hope your furniture was spared. I have had real floods before and they are not fun!
I am sure you were happy, Min. A wet basement is never fun!
The flood was into the downstairs bathroom, the only thing that got ruined was the cat box... So, no harm, no fowl.
About the clue for no7....to press clothes.....I can't seem to get it to take.....please.....thanks
same 1st 3 ltrs as the 4 above it, GApeach.
The no 7/28 word might also describe a golf club gapeach.
I hope that no news is good news, phand -- any word on the job?
Hi gapeach! How are you doing today? Welcome to the log
no 7 not the appliance to take out wrinkles
Thanks so much, phandmd and Min.

Hi book
Hello bookwomen! How are you doing?Welcome to the grid
Hello again! 18 pints pickled beets done!
Hi Jilly
Sadly, no. I had sent a thank you e-mail to the clinical coordinator that was part of both interviews (she does not actually do the hiring though) and she said hope to see you soon. The director of the unit has to make the decision. But I am sure she would go with the wishes of the staff that interviewed me. The director had interviewed me as well.
Stid, I am sure as far as Cade goes, no news is good news. They celebrated Rosie's (big sister) 5th b-day today.
Good luck, phandmd
nice for a milestone birthday!
Well, fingers crossed. I am hopeful they will call you.
I just got a call from my sister-in-law in Corpus Christi, TX....her oldest daughter has had cancer 3 times and came back clear 3 months ago...last week they discovered it is in 3 places in her body...she is 57 yrs old...started Chemo immediately.....I feel like I've just been punched in the stomach. Her name is Susie.....please, please pray for her.
(((((peach))))) peach, holding you and your family in the light.
Just getting back after our supper. Sorry to hear the news gapeach. Already in our prayers.
Thank you, Jellen and Stid! I feel pretty confident too, but really, don't want to count chickens until they actually hatch!
Oh GA... (((hugs))) and definitely will pray!
(((peach)))
GAPeach, will definitely pray. Praying right now in fact!
Thank you all.....my peeps.
hello Mother -- hope supper was nice. I took a nap and am feeling better.
Naps are a wonderful invention!

I thought your personal assistant did your laundry KJE?
I wish I had a personal assistant.
everyone should have one phan..it's the latest great new thing :D
I just found the Hyudai in the puzzel. Also, the car I drive is in the puzzle too, but it isn't a word; boo on that!
I don't know hyundai models
do they come with Kim chi?
Ewww
lol, don't think so. The car I found is also a musical term.
*hands barf bag to jellen*
jellen, deactivated your fb account?
everyone done now?
Yes, welki. I got hacked.
I am....
would you deactivate mine too welki?
sure, ru - give us your name
I was wondering why i kept getting salacious messages from Jellen :D
i'd really have no idea how to do it
Darn Jellen, but you can just go in and change your password. And watch out, those of us using Gmail....seems to be a target for hacking...
I was wasting too much time on there anyway
lol ruru
but i liked looking at all the events you attended, jellen - living my live vicariously through yours :)
Aww, that's nice to hear!
some of those things .. jellen.. are physically impossible ya know :D
Hahahaha
<---likes making Jellen laugh
You're good at ruru!
can anyone clue the an 7?
against oxygen
against oxygen phan
I had to remember how to spell oxygen
I am pretty sure I have had to ask for a clue everytime that appears in the grid!
Thanks for indulging me.
what do you feed dylan, ru?
he's on a special diet right now due to allergies welki
home made? or commercial?
he's eating Royal Canin Venison
I have to buy it at my vets
because baxter has allergies, too - and i'm trying --- ahh, there you go. seem to work?
it's helping
Dylan seems to be allergic to wheat
Had a dog with allergies...heck to feed em, much less trying to keep others from giving them treats
yes, i've purchased royal canin for my guys, too - he's got a rash on his abdoment - keflex this week (metro last week - this is getting silly)
and chicken
oh jilly, i have a friend who insists on feeding my dogs treats - makes me friggin' nuts
it's really a tough one welki.
i've never experienced this before with my other dogs
it drives me nuts to see him uncomfortable
DA 5/12?
daniel in italian phan
I tweaked several dog biscuit recipes and made my own, so that if someone felt like giving her a treat, I had to to give her
oh i know, ru - it's new to me, too. he's not that itchy, but it bothers me, too. i wonder if the blu venison is comparable
Thanks again, Ruru
I don't give dylan treats
Dylan can destroy himself scratching
I have to collar him when i'm gone
awww, poor guy. is he on keflex now, too?
he's on pred right now
it's such a dragg
I hate having to give my pets meds. Especially my black cat, he is such a pain!
no .. his skin is okay.. he does have the beginning of some pyaderma so i'll probably have to give him keflex
My had to be on that several times, she would get incontinent when on it...THAT sucks!
my vet seems to think that while bax probably has food allergies, this go-round is bacterial (thus, the keflex). he had him on something else a while ago (small pink tablets, can't remember the name) and they seemed to work pretty well
giving pills to cats is one of Life's greatest joys :D
yeah, right!
temeril P welki?
And reasons for ER visits for stitches!
I was the pill giver to the cats.. it was horrible
no idea, ru - but i know that he started on a small dose, worked up to a larger one and then, when coming off, had to be weaned from it for a few days
<-- was cat pill giver, too
It just depends on the cat...
My poor hubby, didn't have pets growing up . We had our first cat when married, he took him to the vet. Came back with pills...I groaned...he said..."Oh, it's easy, the vet showed me how."
do 5?
Didn't take him long to figure out that it wasn't that easy
I have one cat that is pretty easy to pill, almost like my dog who is very easy!
if you give blood, you're a do***
a giver to charity phan
Someone who gives up their organs when dead
do5 - one who gives an organ
I love to give organs
i always knelt down with them between my knees and was able to give them pills that way
why didn't I see that?! This is a twisty grid!
i love to play organs
I have had my best luck with the Greenies "Pill Pockets"... tuck the pill in and done
This grid made me feel like a mo5/12
Ru, be careful with the pred.....I lost a wonderful dog to it.....it destroys their immune system and when he got his yearly shots....he died of...oh my I can't think of which one it was....but I took him to the
I love pill pockets! But Bagheera (the black cat) eats the pill pocket and spits out the pill!
Vet School at GA University and they told me what caused his death..
Also can set off endocrine system and get diabetes
