a bit tired. have trekked through an Ikea store, buying christmas gift for my niece, and then on to visit my mum in hospital.

she was asleep when we arrived, and when she woke she didn't know me. her eye is swollen and bruised, her humerus is fractured quite high up, and not displaced.
don says while i was out of the room, she said to him, you look just like my son-in-law.
so bad but likely to recover? What happened, a bad fall?
when don explained to her the flowers were from me, she snapped back to the present, and recognised both of us.
is the confusion from concussion, do the doc's have answers yet?

*giggle* joso, she's in the hospital where i work...at the moment she is under her own cardiologist only, as the fracture doesn't need surgery to stabilise it.
so rose, are you and your hospital any good, or are you all a bunch of lazy putzes ?

lol, joso, when i introduced myself to mum's nurse, and i said i worked in recovery, she couldn't do enough for mum, or me. i hope it makes mum's stay a little easier for her.
so you can go on holiday without worrying too much about your mum.
jack, it has to be the best. one on one care, and achieving a patient who is conscious, comfortable and fr4 of nausea is not an easy task.

how about you and your pain, at tolerable levels?, you don't sound too shirty today.
not an easy task at all. I had a horrible time after surgery once as i reacted to morphine and said i didn't want it so my nurse charted 'no pain relief'
yeah, joso...despite all the walking, pain not bad. and i actually have had 3 consecutive nights where i have slept through to 7-7:30am

Years and years ago we had a stray tom in our neighborhood who constantly picked fights with our male cat. Finally one night my husband and I catnapped him a took him to part of a reservation that bakced onto a restaurant. His needs were taken care of and so were ours.

we're switching foods, and i don't like to waste. she didn't eat her supper last night because, it was the refrigerated portion of what i had mixed in the morning, not fresh enough for her. so then i thought, well, maybe if she has no supper, in the morning she will be hungry enough she'll just eat it. however if she won't, i have to give her something else, because they can't go 24 hours without food.
