Uni: have you seen the article on People.com about the dog with two noses. the article is located under the pets section on the first lefthand column under the picture of the cat titled something about dog with two noses having ruff time being adopted. the dog is located in Scotland. I would love to adopt this puppy. is there any way he can be flown to the US?

maybe you could sniff around une?
it just seems so unfair that no one will help him. he is not disfigured and the vet says he is a lovely dog. must be a way.

Hi all -- just back from a forum with Olivia Chow (Canadians will know who that is -- Americans might be interested that she may be running for mayor of Toronto to oust the infamous Rob Ford.
Hi Jilli
hi, jilli, ho winteresting!
how interesting. I can even make typos with spaces!
Her mother-in-law is an old friend of mine -- we were at McGill together 70 years ago!
does she have a dog jilli
Olivia that is
ru, did you call an ol 9?

I have 2 ol7's

darn she could have had a chow hound

I got it, ru.
Pugs: we had four inches of snow today. I had all the neighbors out making slushies. some of the folks had these popcycles, spelled wrong, and we used those to make snow cones. thanks so much for the suggestion.
you can't have 2 ol 8's... I have all the o's

he has to paws between words though
bf, Iam glad you are thinking about getting a dog
I have the fi 9... anyone have the other 9?
innie should be a word and so should outie
the only trouble about going to the dog shelter is that I want every one of them. but I really want the dog in Scotland. I have already planned how to turn my guest bed room into a dog's room and I 'm sure the cats will join in.
agree, jili!

sorry
what dog in Scotland? I guess I missed something
mi 7
I dont know how to help you there, bf
Dee sa 9
Jilli, she wants to adopt a dog in scotland and dont know how
many thanks, diz
One of my favourite unwords is here -- snile. Sor of a sneering smile.
there is a dog in Scotland that was born with two nose pads on the end of its nose and no one there seems to want to adopt it. I would adopt it now
oh I saw that on FB -- cute little guy. I think I heard there is an actual breed where all are that way, with a split nose.
sa 8, too
Split-nosed dog breeds: http://voices.yahoo.com/which-dog-bree\nds-double-nosed-6273504.html
I just googled split nose dogs and there are three breeds. this dog is not one of those breeds, however, I just feel sorry that no one will give him a forever home
it might be mixed with something else, bf
Maybe someone will come forth, bf. Keep hoping.
probably is. they said it was a Belgian shepherd. looks like a german shepherd maybe not as big

I have all the s's dee if you need one

I'm sure someone can help me find a J word...??? Please? I know there are ja6 and 7
just my opinion, but aren't those split nosed dogs just dogs born with cleft/hare lips like some folks are???
pretty white flower jilli fragrant
of course, ru -- tyvm
there seems to be a hunting dog that has been bred with the two noses in the belief that they can scent game better and two other breeds listed that have two nose pads but only one air passage.
but of course enable doesn't know how to spell it.
I bet that's nothing to sneeze at a two nosed dog
interesting, eh, bf?
and that's NBT so far, need 8s and 9s and I know stats h ave been give.
learn something new every day. just when i think that i have seen it all, i haven't
I think hairfront should be a word
I had never heard of them either bf....wonder if its those dogs police uses for sniffing out drugs and bombs
he who knows not and knows that he knows not, he is wise, follow him.
No it isn't pugs -- they use many breeds and train them well.
pug interesting thought but the article said that the two nosed dog did not seem to have any special scenting powers

Dogsitting this weekend went well. Only one funny incident - Saturday morning at 3 AM we found her on the couch in the living room (she has NEVER been up on it before). Sent her back to her bed for the rest of that night. Sunday A.M. found her at 3:30 on that couch - put her bed outside the door of our bedroom, and she never got back up on the couch - she just wanted to be close to my hubby...
Cute, Dee!
could someone please clue the hi7?
I can't believe how smart she is. I sneezed all weekend and had to take benadryl, but it was worth it.

It has begun to warm....however, one can't rule out another freeze yet.

I bet that makes you feel better Peach
I agree, flosey. The snow is beautiful when it first covers the ground.

It does, pug.
CT was the worse winters I have ever spent.
I got lilac oil on my burner so I can at least smell spring--lol

Do the parents care?
well that's the other big question, isn't it?
Saw a great movie last night - on DVD - called Detachment, starring Adrien Brody,
oh liz, i have to tell you. when i came back to the bedroom this morning after my shower, don had made the bed. i nearly fa5ed. and when we got home from physio, i noticed he had folded my jammies, and put them under the pillow. * giggle *
So lovely. Taking such care of you! You deserve it!
it's taking a lot of getting used to, this 'new' husband of mine. it's so nice to be taken care of.
It is lovely isn't it? Took me time to get used to it to - I was very independent before!
he said this afternoon, that he has some much more energy nowadays...
oooooooh!
Less stressful life!
ditto here, liz, lolol....now don't go second guessing...but you are on the right track.
Lol!
Just relax and enjoy the new don.
oh, and far as i am concerned, he also is on the right track. i love it, and him.
Same here! We are really lucky with our men.

much warmer now. but snow on it's way. how ya doin' scrabs?
We have gotten lots of fresh snow in the last several days, so I am quite happy. I get to continue cross-country skiing.
we've had a lot of freeze thaw, so mostly ice around here, good avalanche conditions
I read about a BYU student dying in an avalanche in Utah.
tis the season, unfortunately. outdoor folks need to check with forestry and make sure they stay out of the ranges that are high avalanche areas. the snow looks great til something makes it come tumbling down.
Yes, my Backpacker magazine featured in4 on avalanches.
good morning all
Alas, LBD, there are people who think they can venture forth into the wilderness with little or no preparation.
Hi wv
I'm not familiar with your geographical terrain, but do be careful out there. tree wells and avalanches, scary!
Molly, we call them victims or tourists.
No avalanche risks where I am, but they occur in the Adirondack Mtns. I do not downhill ski there.
10 remaining. need more go juice. back in an hour to finish and visit some more.
Cool. LBD is getting juiced before noon. : P
on that note...hello
TO, did you read about all the Beatles fans who are beefed at Katy Perry for changing the lyrics to Yesterday?
no. good lord, what did she do?
Nothing really, she just made it gender specific. I hear vocalists do that all the time. If you ask me, they should be more beefed that she performed it wearing my Aunt Martha's shower curtain.
o.O some folks here complained that she performed at all. i zoned out when she was on.
I think they could have gotten someone classier to do it, but I'm not a Katy Perry fan.
she is ok at what she does: pop
Better music at the NY Beatles Fest this past weekend :)

Owl, Im not up on today's singers but who was the singer with the squashed hat and the necklaces?
pharrell
williams
thanks
squashed hat and necklaces? hurshy is picturing a plump old lady
Miss Marple, perhaps?
his new song, "happy" is becoming an anthem. he is best known for singing on daft punks new cd esp the song get lucky
no no, miss marple's hats wouldn't be SQUASHED
daft punks?
which was performed by the russian police choir and has gone viral.
hurshy, youre correct
daftpunk . the performers who look like robots?
lol, Im out of it but I liked williams. I also like his outfit. It was cool.
yes they are the robot looking ones
he can sing! google pharrell happy
I will, thanks, Owl
i only know bc they were supposed to go on colbert for his song of the summer only then they couldn't because of doing this award show and they weren't allowed to do any other appearances or something stupid like that
then select 24 hours of happy.com
okay, will do, Owl
love them. this new cd is old school r & b not their usual eletronica dance
note how i go out of my way to make sure you know how not hip i am
hurshy, you'd better try harder.
to convince you that i'm not hip?
lol yes but not sure why you would
idk i've always been one of those aggressively-not-hip people.
hello
so being non-hip is a badge of hipness? :P
hi jane
like, when it was the cool thing to join "just say no" in 5th grade, i didn't. only one other kid didn't. we didn't want to give up recess. but, we were the only ones who didn't do drugs in high school.
yes, i guess it is my own personal definition of hipness, perhaps. :)
:)
morning, jane
perhaps non conformity is more accurate.
and i've always enjoyed being an old fogey before my time.
which is why, on the rare occasions when i watch TV to pass the time instead of intentionally (so the intentional things are tivo which means i skip the commericials), the commercials i see are always for adult diapers and denture cream, life insurance and hoverround, supplimental medicare, that sort of thing.
I love Daft Punk. Get Lucky is my "doing the dishes" song. : D
hurshy, you left out erectile dysfunction
nah, they are past bothering about ED in the age group i'm getting targeted for.

given up entirely
LOL
hurshy, men never give up. never. lol
I love the Viagra commercial with the super good looking over 50 guy. Like they exist. Hahahahaha!
idk, i think it's a good call - a man who's sitting there watching murder she wrote?
Also, I dare anyone to watch Pharrel WIlliams video of Happy and not smile and dance. : )

Hubby would not miss that show.
It was very good.
How the heck old is Yoko Ono??
It was awesome, I didn't think it would be, but showing the influence of the BEatles to all music was great!
I think she is 80
She looks exactly the same.
Maybe she's a witch.
she will be 81 next week
Yikes!!
Or she has a portrait in the attic.
Well, there was a shot of her dancing and that showed her age, a little humped over and stiff

Hello all. Here in the great Northwest we are back to grey skies, the mist and snow all melted. Our dog is not happy about the snow disappearing. He loves to cavort in the fluffy stuff. He is pretty sure it is a communist plot or another sneaky theory that makes our lives terrible. I'm just happy to have the clothes washed and dried and the Olympics being shown in real time on the Canadian station!
hi gmere! Pretty funny about your pup. Ours both like the snow too.
It totally missed us in Roseburg. Have family in Eugene that are still without power.
Hi uu. We can explain lots of things to Murphy but snow disappearing just boggles his mind.
Oh yes, emliae, Portland south really got lots of snow, ice, and wind. This time we just got the dusting of snow, Disneystyle.
hi gmere.
Hi TO. I notice you are going to have pasta. That is what I fixed for lunch. We'll enjoy left overs for dinner.
If I could use all the phantom words in this grid I could have finished an hour ago!
I think I am done with this grid. I am tired of the search today. Company on the chog is lovely as usual. Enjoy the afternoon and good Babbling.
Enjoy your afternoon!

thanks
sa + to and *** + an arm and a **g....that is the seven...
yeah well i found out that this is an indefinite thing now, and it's because there's some law now that says that Tigo (my cell provider) cannot give signal within 1 kilometer of a jail
man, glad you got it through that crappy clue
oh, harp, John says "HI"
however, i'm pretty sure that i'm outside 1 kilometer... and the silly thing is, there is another carrier i could go and buy a phone chip from and it would work apparently
Oh great rows....
changing phone carriers is easier than moving...well most times LOL
yeah... i will wait it out a bit more and see if they just change it for my town
http://www.elheraldo.hn/Secciones-Prin\ncipales/Pais/Tigo-inicia-proceso-para-\nbloquear-senal
that's the article about it... it's in Spanish, but you could use a translator if you want to read it
i guess convicts only use Tigo, no other cell service, lol
