{{hugs}} and xxxx miz pugs
Hi and Hugs Rose
I went to chrch last night and got to hear the new pastor and I like him
how are you ? are you in the middle of the night over there?
oh, that's great, pugs.
Its almost 2am
oh, dear, pugs, that's not so good. you poor love.
Rose, Im feeling alot better. Last night at church I ask for the elder men of the church to lay hands on me for my back and the heartache Ive been having-and I feel better
oh, pugs, that is so lovely. i am so glad you feel better, hun.
It helped my soul more then anything--:)
I got to the doctor this afternoon for my back
I meant I go to the docs
so how are you
OK not got much time just waiting for the lift to take us to the mainland across the ferry to my brothers funeral..I am scared how silly is that..Thanks everyone for being kind to me through this difficult time.
I have even managed to do a windsor knot on my tie..lol
Oh Zoom, praying for you and Iam so sad for you and your family--warm hugs
(((((zoom)))))
Oh don't be sad, Puglet, I so want people to be just normal..I know how hard it is for people to talk to some-one who is going through this..so please just be yourselves :-)
I do look smart I must say..not used to looking like this..I am normally casual dress..lol
praying for you, right now zooz. and all your family. i hope you all gain some comfort and peace this day.
Many thanks, Stidmama & Rose :-)
I bet you do look sharp! Yeah, this is hard, friend--are YOU doing okay, Zoom
I think you must be very handsome, zoom. *imagining zoom all cleaned up and spiffy*
Hi Stidmama
OK lift has arrived and I only have 13 in the grid :-(
bye...*poof*
zoom, will be thinking of you
hey puglet
take care Zoom
brb, don home with the shopping
okay Rose
I should go to sleep. My last full week of teaching starts in 12 hours...
have a lovely week, all! *poof*
night stid
and back.
good! Did Don bring in alot of goodies
oh, he even bought me a packet of my favourite bikkies...peanut cookies. they are so delish. i have to ration myself as i could eat the whole packet on my own...no problems. and we get to eat for another week...lol
do you have a favourite cookie, pugs?
well thats good Rose--and enjoy your cookies-lol
I like oatmeal cookies with raisins
alright then....don tells me your 'care package' is on it's way. he thinks it should take about 10-14 days. and i absolutely promise, i am not sending anything i wouldn't buy for myself. xxx
alright Rose, thanks a bunch, but I hope you didnt over do it
not at all, darling. if anything i send helps you, i am most happy to do so.
You are so good to me Rose, you guys make me cry
how was your monday?
*hands out kleenex to everyone*
not too bad. i caught up on all the laundry and folding, sorting and ironing. don put the damp wash on the airers in front of the gas heater to dry.
g'day ruru
Hi Ruru and thanks-:)
how was your supper?
*blows nose*
if you are talking to me Rose, I didnt have one
*honk, honk*
sorry, talking to the ruru. i'm sure he must have eaten in the last hour or so.
I ate this afternoon..trying not to eat too late anymore
Gooooooooooood morning fellow Babblers xx
aaahhh, does that help with the sleeping? have heard it does.
gooooooooood morning Mr Wor--how are you
and helloooooooooooooooo worzel...lol
Yes
Morning pugs ((hugs)) I am goo ty hun and you? xx
Morning Mum!! xx
Morning ruru xx
goo? good lol
I am good too and Di?
strange that, ruru. my mother always said i must be part native. as soon as i eat, i fall asleep.
Hi worzel
is goo, like mushy Wor-lol
am only mushy when I'm with my Di *giggles*
So Ru, you now have to have warm milk and gramcrackers for bedtime-lol
can i get a clue for the 2nd in6/18 please?
in6, in + fork prong
ty mum x
how was your and Di's week-end Wor
had a quiet weekend. Went for a couple walks along the canal and apart from that we did nothing. So peaceful, and the weather was just the right side of warm. How was your weekend? x
Mine was full and good, thanks--glad to go to work though here in a few hours
what do you work as pugs?
we make all kinds of different gaskets. Like the gaskets that goes under your faucets and semi gaskets for motors---about a thousands different kind
I mainly operate a huge punch-out press
do you find it interesting work? It sounds a bit like it could be boring after a while
No, since I worked there for alot of years before, I pretty well know all the machions so I am on this one and that one--Due to my hernia, I can no longer lift the big rolls to cut material but I like using my hands---most of them require striping out and stamping and so on
at least it sounds varied - especially with your longstanding experience. It's good to have a job you enjoy doing, otherwise it just becomes a chore
yeah I know--been there and done that--it sucks
lmao! Some of the words that aren't allowed in the grid some days and they allow ps4???
what kind of work did you do Wor? Just writing?
No - I've had many different and interesting jobs. Some factory work, professional cleaner (which, believe it or not, was probably my favourite), driving instructor, secretarial work - a right mixed bag as we say over here!
cleaning like office buildings or like livestock cleaning-lol
now there's an interesting way of saying it pugs! Cleaning offices was where I started and then ended up cleaning crime scenes for the police so in a way livestock isn't far from the truth lol
cleaning crime scenes must of been sickening, wasent it?
The 1st job I had made me urge a bit, but you get used to it (that's a terrible thing to say I guess, but it's true)
well someone has to do it----and its a job that families shouldnt have to do, I would think
Yes - you do feel for the families involved, but the saddest ones were the suicides - especially if there was no family around because you always got to find out their personal details one way or another and knowing they died without a family to talk to used to cut me up something rotten - that was one side of it I never got used to
they use to have a show here that went with crime scene people that done that job
I cant stand being alone and I really feel for those that are
I didn't - originally - do it for the money as it was part of my company's contract anyway, but they used to give each of us a £50 call out fee and then pay us £50 an hour whilst we were on the job. The money for that job is absolutely incredible. One weekend I made over £900 just doing one job
I would guess not everyone could handle such a job no matter the pay
its good people like you can stomach such a thing
No I guess not. Thing is, whilst you were at work you had to - literally HAD to - cut off your emotions, but there were many times I would get home, go bed then wake up and cry
only shows you got a heart and thats not a bad thing Wor. Probablly makes you look at life differently---and for the good
when I was at the nursing home, many times I cried for those that were passing and just wanted someone to hold their hand as they did. Its hard taking on someone elses pain like that
There were lighter sides to it (& trust me u develop a twisted sense of humour in that work). We went to a car crash scene where a man had been decapitated. My boss drove me down in her car and when we'd finished and got back home I went to get her bag for her from the back seat to be polite to her and found a little plastic bag with an eyeball in it. God knows why but it started me laughing so badly! B
things like that is probablly what got you through
i guess so pugs lol. Think Mum's probably puking by now lmao - she's gone very quiet!
oh I bet shes been through as much with the kind of job she has
I'll brb I need some caffeine - will bring u all a nice drink xx *semipoof*
sounds really good Wor :)
just letting you two hang out for a bit. worzel, i worked in melbourne's biggest emergency department, and when westgate bridge collapsed, i was on the disaster team, which went out and picked up bits of bodies from the wreckage.
if you don't remember that happening google it. those people in the yellow overalls, i was one of them.
He went to get us a drink Rose-lol
was that hard for you Rose
brb
it was, considering i was only 18 at the time.
so young Rose--was this your first thing like this
yes, pugs. i was only 6 months in4 my training.
Back again! Just Googled the Westgate Bridge collapse - looked pretty horrendous. Bet you suffered some trauma after that didn't u mum? x
was there alot of people killed it that
welcome back Wor and i had to get my own drink, too slow, you were-lol
i haven't ever really talked a lot about it. but it's sort of stuck, in my head. later, back at the hospital i had to help prep the patients for thatre. it was vile. every time we moved them another bit of body would hit the floor.
aww sorry pugs! x
too many killed, pugs.
can i have a clue for the 2nd te6/18 please?
camp shelter + 2 vowels
ty mum x
start from the t in the 3rd row, 2nd column
Rose, my rose bush that I thought the winter killed is about to have a flower! So it made it!
oh, lovely, pugs. roses are pretty hardy, just look at me. * giggle*
true-lol Ive been looking for a yellow rose, I want one that has a good smell and so far Ive not found one yet
alot of the store roses dont have a very strong smell--I dont know why
oh, try and find a " golden jubilee " it has a lovely delicate perfume.
There's a yellow rose called Golden Wedding which I used to grow which is fantastically fragranced pugs
that's because they are hybrids, dear.
Okay, I will---is it a climbing one Rose
me an mum in tune again!
I will write those names down and look for them
hybrids have gorgeous colours, but no scent. another is " neil armstrong" a heavenly darl red rose
*dark*
can i have a clue for the zi6 please? x
and there is a magnificent mauve rose...if you can find it, the perfume is to die for. maybe google it, as i cannot for the life of me remember the name.
Rose, did you get your window boxes planted
do you mean the zi6, flower, worzel?
yay ty mum - FWS!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay will do Rose....did you buy yours off line
yes, pugs, and with the watering system running so well, i am expecting a lovely show this year.
WTG WORZEL!!!!
w2g Wor!
that's the fastest I've ever gotten fireworms! I am soo chuffed with myself!
i bought mine at the local nursery, but have long since lost the label.
tyty
that zi 6 annoyed me because we spell it differently in the UK and I tried it earlier but it didn't work lol
I might just go to a nursery to find the roses I want--might cost more but will get what I want
oh, and the birds are nesting in my cecil brunner again this year. looking forward to seeing the fledglings when they hatch.
what kind of birds Rose
Wor, how is your garden doing
mid-sized indian minas, pugs. the wood-pigeons nest in our little fir tree.
my garden is being attacked by slugs. I love all animals and hate to do them away but I have been killing them with salt I'm afraid - they're MY vegetables lol
I heard that putting a dish of pop down will draw them to it and it kills them--I have never had them myself
a flamethrower gets their attention
lol, worzel. i don't have a problem with killing slugs and snail. it's not my fault they can't fly...lol
morning OO
they are a real problem in the UK. We have many tips here for keeping them off plants - especially things like broken egg shells, beer in a pot. Imagine drowning in beer - what a way to go!
* giggle * o-o...you make me laugh, you really do. thanx, mate
Morning 0-0 - I shall get my ex-wife to breathe on them then!
yeah, i had an uncle who drowned in beer, he fell in a vat, and had to fight off his would-be rescuers, before he succumbed.
One of my uncles was killed by coffee - a crate of it fell on his head . . .
* chuckling out loud *
Have just found out that in Norway apparently today is national feather day and in North Korea it's national noise day. Some strange practices in this world
what is it you do on feather day, Wor
tickle your arse???
well, pugs, if you're kinky enough you can find something to do with one . . .
mother!!!!!!!
sorry, naughty granny...
i meant to say, particularly nasty weather...lol
mind you, mum - i think - yet again - we were both on the same wavelength
you think? lol
*snorts into drink * you think??
difference between erotic and kinky is erotic is using a feather, kinky is using the whole chicken . . .
oh, dear...snap pugs
like one of those rubber chickens. Wor?
yeah!!! i really like that saying...so true..
only if it is lubricated, pugs
oh, my, did i say that out aloud??
well, rubber chickens would be more humane than real ones I guess. I'm so glad I started this conversation (not!!!) lol
you most certainly did Rose
well hush my mouth with a gob-smacker!!! how did that happen?
one word WOR---lol
reminds me of a friend I had years ago. We were both about 14 or so and he told me that his mum had some fresh liver in the fridge for the family tea and he took one of the pieces out and used it for a rude purpose - then put it back in the fridge! I still can't touch liver to this day
yuck! thats mean besides gross too
eeeew. yuck!!!
mind you if it was cold from the fridge.....how did....nope don't wanna hear...
I totally agree. But like I said we were both about 14 or so and I guess he didn't know any different. Last time I saw him he worked in a butcher's shop!!!
LOL Rose
leave it, rose, leave it....
at 14, he should of known better! I wouldnt want to buy from his shop for sure
go on Rose, its eating at you to spit it out-lol
Wor do you know about how long it takes for mail to get from me to you
what?? the liver??
if that is what is bothering you Rose-lol
nah, in deference to other players sensibilities, i will refrain. * spits on halo, and gives it a quick shine*
Rose, why does it take almost a month for my stuff to get to you and two weeks for your stuff to get to me? Do you mail it a different way
same with Sprite too
no, dear, i don't think so. some of the things i have sent you, come from the US of A. mind you, maybe ozland has a deal going with US mail, but not vice versa.
sorry had to dash to the loo lol. Pugs if you sent a letter from your country to anywhere else in the world probably a couple days, but our postal system has gotten so bad lately. We used to get guaranteed next day delivery but I've had things turn up weeks later sent from the same city as I'm in, so you're guess is as good as mine lol
okay--Rose
Anyway, I've got a big pile of ironing with my name all over it so I'd best love you all and leave you for now. I trust you all have a good day/eventide wherever you may celebrate it xx
it takes about a month to get to Rose or Sprite from me
plus pugs, take in4 account the time of year. around the annual festive occasions, it may take longer.
you too Wor--love and hugs to you and Di
lucky worzel. * smug grin * mine's all done. enjoy your day, mate
true Rose
((hugs)) back pugs xx
Enjoy your evening Mum xx take care
*poof*
you working tomorrow Rose
good morning all
*fingers crossed * am hoping my back isn't spasming tomorrow morning. i exercised with added weights this AM. muscles are so not liking it. yes love. tomorrow, but only for one hour.
I was just thinking of you Miz Sprite! love and hugs
oh, oh, oh, helloooo my dearest sprite.
*hugs pugs* Hello sweetie :) Will get back to your email after babble.
hello my darling rose :) *hug*
I hope it goes well for you Rose. Iam sorry you got to have all that pain and have to work too
okay, Sprite :)
spasming back is nature's way of telling you it is time to retire, rose...
{{hugs and kisses }} sweetie. have you had a good night?
How is our beautiful Sprite today
sort of ok, rose, thanks. Overdid things a bit the last couple of days and yesterday and today I am paying the price. Was worth it though :)
Rose, you REALLY need that hot tub! I so think it will help--and one with all the jet streams
am good, pugs. Will take it easy today, a bit of cleaning but not much.
and you, pugs? How are you doing today?
omg... that upper left corner is tight as... no am not gonna say it. But that tight.
Please do take it easy Sprite and dont act like Rose-lol
lolol pugs! No I won't, I will take it easy today. Promise.
Iam Sprite--I done what I told you I was at church and it helped my soul alot
oh wow, well done pugs! That was really smart thinking.
and I got to the doctor today after work on my back
poor spritey. i so feel for you, dearest. and darling, i have to show that i tried my hardest to get back to work.
I was a little afraid to ask since this is a new church, but I did it
yeah, I understand, rose. I really do. Just worried about you and hoping you will not damage yourself too much in the process.
pugs, you are so strong and courageous. Asking this was a big step and you took it. *hugs*
thanks -- I wasent sure this church done that, but they did
and the magnesium certainly helps. fortunately my kidneys are working very well. i am not scared about taking it when i need it.
it is great to have good kidneys. When my blood was tested, at least the kidneys were declared very healthy, grin. Bring on the magnesium!
Rose, do you HAVE to return to full time or can you just work part time until you retire
one to add up to your list of things you did well, pugs... don't forget. It takes courage to ask for something for yourself, especially of strangers.
yay, pugs, i am proud of you, sweetie. it is hard to ask for prayer healing. we always think, someone else is worse than i am, let them have the prayer. i think...if everyone is doing the giving, and no-one is doing the receiving, who are we giving to?
darn it all... -tion is a phantom ending today.
did you get to rest well last night Sprite
pugs, i have to return to three shifts of nine hours, that is what i was working when i fell.
I dont think they have done much on the laying of hands for they couldnt find the holy water--lol but it went well and I bet they get some for the future-lol
such long shifts, rose. Don't be too strong and make sure they know how much it hurts you to go even one hour, sweetie. Please.
Rose--that just sounds like too much--cant you ask for a reduce of hours or spread them out
I rested ok, pugs, thanks :)
nine hours is a lot to ask of your body Rose
no bad dreams then?
not too bad. Manageable, anyway.
i will, sprite. as you know, my GP is 100% behind me in the supporting factor. if i can't make it, i can't make it. i may have co-morbidities, but they wouldn't have surfaced if i hadn't had to have the extra surgery.
thats a plus then Sprite
indeed, rose. That extra surgery is what did you in. And the hospital is to blame for that.
it is, pugs :)
so goodish, sprite. is there a mantra you can use to dispel these upsetting thoughts, dear?
how is Rob's arm? better?
it isn't upsetting thoughts that bring on the nightmares, rose. It is the ptsd being triggered. Stress doesn't help, but it can be something small like too much noise or a sudden scare or even somebody using the wrong words, words from my past.
pugs, i used to work three 8 hour shifts, 1 x eight hour shift, over-time, and on-call. 3 x 10 hour shifts are nothing.
no, Rob's arm is a full blown bursitis, alas. Will take weeks to heal. And it is painful.
Sprite, Zoom was on earlier waiting for the ferry to take them to the service and he thanked everyone for their kindness
did he go to the doctor for it
have been thinking of our zooz a lot. Am 'glad' the service is today. He has been overburdened with all the organizing and stuff.
sprite, a mantra which you find soothes you, could settle the ptsd...i guess i am trying to teach my grandmother to suck eggs. i am sure you have tried that avenue.
maybe so Rose but you were not weak then either
though its sad, I am glad for them too for it to be over
sprite, did i send you some "pain away " cream or spray? if i didn't, let me know.
yes he did, pugs. The doc said that there are treatments, but experience has shown that not treating it or treating it has the same results. Gentle movement, no taxing, is the best way to go.
no sweetie, I got your wonderful socks, nothing else.
does he have it in a sling then
he did in the beginning, pugs. But the doctor said it isn't helpful. It is better to move the joint gently throughout the day.
okay, do you have access to arnica cream? it is wonderful for the problem with rob.
yes, we have that here, rose. Awesome, thanks for the advice, will buy him some today.
yay, sprite. if he is too tender, let me know. i will send a spray version for him to use.
what would we do without our Rose
you are the best, rose. I think he will be ok with the cream, since it doesn't have to be rubbed in. Gentle appliance will do.
mind you, sprite. the real treatment should be an arthroscopy, to drain the excess fluid, and then find out why he is developing the bursitis.
will remember that, rose, and if it doesn't go away, will tell Rob so he can ask the doc about it
just saying... ointment is a phantom today
did he bang it or something Sprite to cause this in the first place
no, it started in a canoeing weekend.
overworking it then maybe
poor rob...a weekend of leisure has lead to this...try the arnica first. then we can progress to more aggressive treatment as indicated.
you know, he is almost 57. It may be just that age is creeping up on him. He has had the same thing in his knees, and they removed the burse or what is it called, in one of his knees.
will do, rose. Thanks :)
and what about your man Rose? Has he made a move to get his shoulder worked on yet
LOLOL...you have got to be kidding?? tomorrow i start my "nag " campaign.
do you need our help-lol
was just thinking that, lol.
sisterhood! lol
ummm, no i don't think so.. can do this one on my own...but thanx for the offer you two...will threaten him with that, if he becomes non-compliant.
I can hear Don saying: "I'll go, I'll go, for goodness sake call those nagging bloodhounds of you off!"
LOL sprite
* giggle *
well, you got back up if need be-lol
pugs, you feeling sleepy at all, hun?
not that i want for you to go. i am thinking that you do have to go to work in a few hours.
nope Rose and its too late for sleep now anyway--I got to leave in 2 hours
I still got to shower and all that yet
poor pugs :( I wish I knew a way to let you sleep well every night. It would be better for your back as well.
wrong way to think, hun. even 15 minute nap will help you get through the day.
I do feel okay guys and I feel refresh from last night too
darn!! should have included a bottle of melatonin in the "care package"
lol rose, reminds me of that episode of Mythbusters I saw. They tested the 'myth' about power naps. And concluded that it is totally confirmed. Even a small 20 mins nap will make you more alert.
that might help pugs a lot, rose. Pure nature, pugs, melatonin. No medicine, just the normal sleep stuff your body produces. Or should produce, lol.
pugs, melatonin is the 'hormone' our body produces to help our bodies recognise it is time to slow down and sleep.
I think its just stress and old age thats causing this sleep thing--Its went on so long I dont even notice it any more
can I find it here
pug, sleep is incredibly important. Especially for people with depression. And I remember you sleeping very well when W was gone for a while. Sleep is the normal way to spend the night :)
it is part of the 'anatrin' i take every night. and you are too young for this hormone to not be produced. pugs, love, try the 'vitacost' site. i find them the cheapest.
okay Rose
melatonin will reset your body clock, and hopefully you will sleep.
mint
true Sprite--never thought of that--but If I sleep alnight I would miss you guys
if it is too expensive for you, let me know. i would like you to try it.
hello Oldchica, good word, wrong box, lol
hi oldchica
g'day chica
don't worry, pugs, we will find a way to make it all fit. Go for the sleep, it is more important. And we will connect with you somehow.
Rose is that the name I look for or is that a ingredient in the meds
melatonin should work, pugs
what sprite said, pugs
I bet rose is looking for you, lol, on the site
okay, thanks
ah there she is :)
sorry, someone emptied my glass. who was it, do you think??
I bet it was the bird-lol
oh, some ruffian! Such evilness! Quickly, fill it again and guard it with your life!
no, the bird is a can-ary... only drinks beer.
lol, pugs. *giggling* sprite
oh, don't start me on the canary...for goodness sake!
the canary who is a manary... still the bird from hell, rose? :)
i swear this canary is 60% budgeriargar
had to look that up... belated LOL
he won't sit on the shell-grit perches i have put in his cage for since forever. so i have put in smooth perches. NOW he sleeps on the edge of his seed dishes. for goodness sake.
roflolllll oh I love this bird already. A mind of his own.
and he won't use his bath if don has filled it, only if i have filled it.
what did he sleep on before
pus, i need to buy sandpaper covers for his perches...which he shreds...aagghh!
too bad the bird dont talk--you could train it to say "Don, call the doctor about your shoulder" lol
sorry...* pugs *
lololol
Hi all :)
Hello Liz
for goodness sake...we are being run around by a CANARY!!!
how are you today
hi Liz! *hugs* Preparations on the way?
hello liz. lovely to see you dear.
*sprite* shhhhh!
So happy to have caught you all :)
So happy to have caught you all :)
am being very circumspect, methinks
Twice!
glad to see you too :) hugs
glad to see you, as always, Liz
fireflies
iPad being very sluggish!
bad iPad
Congrats, Sprite :)
congrats Sprite! and you too Rose
thanks :) It was a nice twisty grid. With a very dead upper left corner.
That's what I said, then I decided to speak nicely to it!
"My darling iPad, if you don't misbehave, I won't stamp on you and throw you in with yesterday's leftovers."
Almost! Love my iPad.
is a ipad the same as a reader
no, an iPad is a tablet. A sort of mini computer.
WTG SPRITE!!!
so a reader and tablet are different then
but you can read books on it as well as surf the internet and read your email and lots of other stuff.
thanx pugs
is the ipad kind of like these smart phones
yes, an ereader is designed especially for reading ebooks. It usually doesn't let you surf the internet etc. Some can play a movie or play music though.
A larger version but it doesn't make phone calls. But I can message from it .
lol, and a smartphone is a mobile phone that is also a mini computer... it is like a tablet but smaller.
thanks for the imfo
Iam so behind times-lol
yvw. It is all rather confusing nowaways, because things change very quickly and the whole tablet/minicomputer/ smartphone/ereader thing is becoming more and more alike.
I would like to have one of those things that plays music to take to work but know O about them
pugs, no problems, i too am so far behind the times. i am in good company...lol
that makes me feel better Rose-:)
an mp4 player. That would be awesome, pugs. Easy to handle, and they are not very expensive.
over to you sprite
I know not one thing on putting music on one
that is easy as well. Can write you a guide once you have a player.
I only know about iTunes! Fully mac family!
i think i was given one of the last personal cd players available...i love it.
Sprite, look at me and this reader you sent me---geez, I would not know the first thing to look for to buy one
I miss the 45's lol
pugs, for some reason this reader you got is a complicated one to manage. We need to find out how to make it visible on your computer. A music player is a much simpler apparatus. I checked here and they are around 15 euro now.
what is that to me
Our Liz is an Apple fan :)
:) and everything talks to everything else!
I take a photo on my phone and it appears on my iPad and computer
between the 15 and 18 US dollar, pugs
Apple is good stuff. Expensive but really good. Much better than MS, sigh.
oh thats not bad--i was thinking a hundred or more
no, they are really cheap nowadays, pugs. You can find expensive ones, but for what you need, a simple one is just fine.
google 'buy mp4 player online' and you should find some sites
and do you go to youtube to download the music you want
I will check out amazon
and if you let me know which songs you would like, I can put the mp3 files in your dropbox, so go right ahead and buy one as soon as you can.
okay Sprite
on amazon.com the first one to pop up is only USD 13,25
remember me telling you guys about the new baby colts at the amish---they not got four more babies
it plays mp3 and mp4 files and radio FM, lol. Good one. It is blue.
awww so sweet, pugs! So lovely to look at with their clumsy long legs.
okay Sprite--I will look into it and what is the different between the 3 and 4
lovely, pugs. i bet they are a delight to see.
It does look good, sprite. Just checked it out.
they are--soon as I get a chance Iam going to go and get a good look at them
mp3 is only music. Mp4 can also have video. You only need mp3 but most players nowadays are ready for both.
Aw! That sounds lovely, pugs.
yes the 3 is all I need and be nice to have while walking too
OK. Time to go. Hugs to all :)
nothing like baby animals to make us feel better.
bye Liz *hugs*
yeah I know
bye Liz, take care--hugs
xxxx, liz. enjoy your evening
I too need to be heading out to shower and all
you just let me know, pugs, and I will help you set it up and all. Will go back to your email about the reader now, and see if we can figure this out.
love and hugs to you all and hope you both get well rested
*hugs* to you both. And may you all have a blessed day and a peaceful night.
pugs, i hope your day is nice to you, my dear. xoxox
will do Sprite
good luck at work, pugs. I hope your back will behave. And let us know what the doctor says.
bye and love to you Rose and Sprite too
sprite, did you see i have finally got our pugs care package off?
good (late) morning
{{hugs}} and xxxx's hello ruby
{{rosie}}
Now that I go food shopping with Burt on Mondays, it takes up my whole morning
At least I get treats for me
ugghh, ruby...patience my dear...i know it is nail-biting..
And I drive there as he can't find it. He drives home. Neither is pleasant, gritted teeth all both ways
poor ruby. xoxox my dear
bye and have to make lunch
{{rosie}}
later ruby.
and i too am outta here. xoxox enjoy the grid.

((Aloy))
good morning, Mimi! You are up bright and early..
Couldn't sleep, been up since 2, so decided as long as I was awake I'd get some work done...taking a short break. How are you?
Are you still in Florida?
10 left, time to see if I missed some fish.. yes, still in Fla. Did water monitoring at sunrise today.. gorgeous out on the pier, red flames in the sky, hopefully some rain later today.. is it scorching in PX?
oh NO.. I missed the volcano ! (blush)
Yep...I think we hit a record high for the day yesterday---106. Ugh. Will be hibernating in my apt. for the next couple of months.
I've seen people talk about the volcano before, but I've never figure out what it is....enlighten me?
wow.. in the low 90's here.. et4.4 is THE volcano that regularly hides in the grid, lol
((mimi))
Ah...one of my made-up words is here....splet...a mini-splat.
72f here and sunny with a nice breeze of the bay:)
((crossy))
good morning
hi Annie and crossy
howdy annie
howdy aloy
61 degrees here, going up near 80 later
hi Aloy and crossy
Still no clue on the volcano....slow today.

Wanna trade, Annie?!!

OMG....duh for me! Thanks.
(-: yvw - have a cuppa
Just finished one. Better get back to work. Trying to finish early today so I can get some home projects done. Going to cardiologist tomorrow and then out to dinner with my friend Steve.
aloy, "water monitoring) ??
Nice flower in grid today.
good to see you.. tc and have a great day, Mimi (( ))
Yes, I saw that. I have some out on my balcony.
Did I tell you I finally have a court date on the 24th? PRAY FOR ME!! I want that settlement!
lets
ooops, sorry!
Annie.. yes, hubby and I volunteer for the DEP (dept. of Env. Protection).. along with a lot of other volunteers, we test different water bodies at sunrise on the first Monday of each month.. the data is compiled and in that way, changes can be noted
Mimi, I pray everything comes out in your favor.
oooh, Mimi.. I will
Aloy, you are a good citizen. Florida is such a beautiful state and shoud be treasured.
That will mostly be my nest egg...going to invest it in stable vehicles of return. Plus a little fun, too, I hope!
I love going into the Everglades area. I have stayed at Flamingo many times. I love it there.
so easy to be ruined with all the phosphate mining and development going on
Mimi, you deserve every penny and then some.. hope you have a good lawyer to represent your interests
My ex is a hydrogeologist and works for the state. He's always checking water quality and looking for new sites to drill.
Thank you, dear. I chose a law firm that only handles this type of work and they've been in business for quite some time so they must be good or they would have gone out of business. I checked their record and they have no complaints against them and their clients rate them highly.
feeling dumb, can't see ni 5.12
It has been a two-year battle to get here.
Aloy, after 10th
I mean BEFORE
crunch time, finally for you, Mimi!
oh for heaven's sake! tyvm, Annie
.. sips more coffee
That double N threw me off for a while
I'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Don't want to be too shaken if it doesn't go my way. All I can do is try.
good strategy, Mimi
Well, better get back at the work. It's only 5ish and I'm already halfway done! Yay for me!! Have a good day, everyone, and hugs all around. Give crossy a hug for me when he returns.
ciao, Mimi.. will do
your clue also helped with te5.12, Annie.. (-:
yes, I saw that later. Im a big help (LOL)
going to make coffee, bbs
and I'm done.. hagd all; crossy, when you get back, I'm passing a hug on to you from Mimi.. poof
Good morning all, small grid today.
hi sukee
morning all!
Hi sue :)
hi annie!
Wonders never cease. My limited memory of Latin words kicked in. : D
yay Molly! :-)
morning, Molly
Probably only because it is in the words to Ave Maria, which I have sung dozens of times.
ah, would that be the pl word?
It would
thanks for that :-)
You're welcome, dominus vobiscum : )
Isee you have a candle for zooz, Molly. Today is the funeral. I will pray for them.
oh no, what happened?
Yes, that is why I put the candle up.
Zooz's brother passed away.
oh dear :-(
I dont know how to change my icon. Can anyone tell me how very simply? I am a computer illiterate.
Go into "My Account" (link above the chat), click on the "Edit" button under your icon
go to my account at the top right. then look for your icon on the leftish. click edit. then put in location for new picture.
you can either link to a picture online or upload one from your computer
Babble will squish the picture to be square, so if it's already square it will look better
After you hit EDIT, scroll down and click the CHOOSE IMAGE button to select an image from your computer. Images should be 350x350 to be clearly seen.
Sorry, that is CHOOSE FILE button.
After your image uploads. Click refresh, while you are still in your profile, then refresh when you are back on the chat page.
Molly, thank you. I wrote this all down. But, always a but, where do I go to get the image I want to upload?
You can go to Google images, but be sure to indicate you are looking for a "small _____" or you will get a variety of sizes, most of which are too big.
if you have pictures on your computer you can use them, but check the size.
I resize my images to fit here, but that is too complicated to explain the hows of. It's easier to show someone how to do that.
While My Account site is open, can I go to Google Images. Oy, I dont think I can do this but I will try. I am from the generation of IBM's and calculators.
If I lived near my daughter or son in law they would show me everything I wouldn't be such a dinosaur.
Let's say you want a picture of a bird. If you Google "bird avatar" it will give you pictures of the appropriate size (as close to 350x350 as you can get)
Molly, and then I open my account after I get the picture I want?
Then, click on the image and do a SAVE AS, and save it to your DESKTOP. You can then upload it here.
Like I said, it's a lot easier to show someone how to do this than it is to type instructions in 2D.
I think I will remain a dinosaur, Molly. But thanks so much for trying to help me. But I am going to try to do it.
Be back soon.
Any knowledge I have of such things I got from people far more computer savvy than I am.
I tried. Found a candle. Couldn't get it as my icon. Thanks again, Molly. I will save your instructions, tho.
Annie, how did you get your original icon?
I really dont remember, it was so long ago. It just happened by mistake. If I did it then, I say to myself, why can't I do it now? Will fool around with this later.
Annie, just for fun, go to your account and paste this url into the box next to FETCH ICON. Then hit UPLOAD, then refresh the page. http://tinyurl.com/ko4bf35
And Annie is gone, so that's that.

As one pall- bearer said to the other 'I'm only here for the beir'
{soodle}
Hey o-o, Jaxxie, Marc.
You do know that Jaxxie is an impolite term in the UK?
Omg, No! What have I called you?
You kick people up the Jaxxie
We have returned to my rare rump
Apologies, Jaxx. Maea culpa.
I am not offended, soodle, you made me laugh!
have you deserted me and my rare rump?
An elderly neighbour of mine died a while agp. His name was Michael. He was known as Mick, Mike, mickser. Michey, Mikey, Micker, Mikey, michael,. The poorpriest saying the funeral mass struggled.
i leave you ladies for 5 minutes and you are going on about your tushies...
Hi, crossy
howdy jaxx
Just another case of being separated by a common language
<------ Thinking of the song from High Noon'..... Do not desert me, Oh my darlin'
"yes, english would be a fine language , if anyone spoke it...
:)
Soodle! I just registered for a class in Limerick, Aug 17-25. I'm so excited to see Ireland!
We try to but text speak has completely ruined English as it is spoke
spoken:)
Seriously Jane??? Thats wonderful!
Oh dear, get the Depends for Soodle. Another Babble player is headed her way.
No, I meant spoke
every country bend the language to their own purposes:)
bends:)
i love all the personal touches though
The curse of the tower of babel persists
I'm really excigted. I'll send you the details. Maybe you can come to our concert. How far are you from Limerick?
very true, o-o
Like Mr Clemons said "alway try to have at least two ways to spell any word"
Harp, your fingers are all excited too.lol
(((((Get the depends..... What does that mean. Pardon mmy ignorance)))
adult diapers
Depends: Adult undergarments for incontinence.
Oh! :-/
Incontinince pads - ah!
Incontinence even
The history of linguistics is interesting. Tribes/clans crafted language to their own circles so that they could only be understood within their own.
Harp, I'm less than 3 hours from Limerick. This is doable. My email is in my profile. Drop me a quick mail.....
very nice.Another babble meet-up:))
Another Babble meet is on the cards. Soodle is a Babble magnet
It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word. ~Andrew Jackson
A Babble Magnet! Ooooh. I DO like the sound of that. ;--)
I don’t give a damn for a man that can only spell a word one way. Actually, I used to take comfort in those words, but recently I have found several other versions of the joke: Anyone who can only think of one way to spell a word obviously lacks imagination. I have no respect for a man who can spell a word only one way. Never trust anyone who can’t spell a word more than one way. All of these quotations are credited to Twain. But now I have become suspicious. Did Twain say any of these sentences? Could you investigate this puzzle? Quote Investigator: Yes, QI sympathizes with your spelling difficulties and is also interested in this quote. Ace researcher Victor Steinbok located a version of the joke attributed to Twain in 1875 [MTIS]:
I'll also spend some time in Dublin, also the Wicklow Mountains, and then either Cork or the North.
It is just a problem when the same letters are phonetically different
both are correct, but ty for getting that for me o-o
Everyone is going to Ireland! Soodle needs a new date planner.
yaa for meet-ups with soodles!
Indeed
O-o, my 6 yr old nephew has recently been diagnosed with dyslexia. It was confirmed when he made a card for my Dad- his Granda- with a pic of a giraffe, but James had labelled it JRAFF. I thought that showed great ingenuity
That's a new piece of text speak. The lad is a genius.
Kids with dyslexia understand language, just in their own way. They understand numbers too, but in a different order.
I'm a veteran Babble-Meeter-Upper now. Harp, hanf onto your hat. :-)
*Hang*
My husband still doesn't understand how I can travel to another city, and want to meet someone for dinner that I've never met before.
I have 12 to go but am tired so I will love and leave you all. tc all
I think that it is a great thing that babble brings people together in person from all over the world
I have but one babble meet under my belt but was able to have lunch with Flosey and joso
Seriously. It can be quite daunting. But then the Babble thing kicks in, and all is good. :-)
remember, soodles, you owe me a pub crawl still:))
Niters Jaxx X
I get why he doesn't understand that Harp. No slight to Soodle, but that can be a very dangerous thing to do.
gn jaxx
especially since magnets might be polarizing.
living is dangerous ... there is no guaranty of having life in a moment
Speaking of dangerous things...... A Crossy & Soodle pub crawl could be perilous.
Rofl
could be, but i think if we start with bourbon and finish with wine spritzers, we should be ok
I just have to sstay away from that beer of yours and stay with something safe, like single malt whiskey
Bwah ha ha! All depends on the location of the pub crawl. My town..... My way! If I ever get to Canada, we can play by your rules, Crossy.
I choose to live my life. I could panic about almost anything... and get run over by the 3 pm bus while walking to the corner store. I choose to live instead of worrying about what could be.
ok, you are right, you town, your rules:)
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How are you all doing?
Hoyles rule book of pub crawls
howdy min and wlcome to the grid:)
By the way, congratulations to all of the finishers.Way to go
You can take my niece on the pub crawl, I'll stay sober and take photos.
good harp. Must have someone able to identify the bodies:))
what you choose has no effect on death's schedule
There are 12 pubs in my local town. Theres an established code for visiting all 12 of them in one night. For instance in one pub, you may only use your left hand ( if you are right handed). In No
" a coward dies many deaths, a hero but one" will let you cite that. I cannot be bothered
ahh, i see there are deeper rules for soodles pub crawls
you once more assume I worry ... a coward? and you are a hero. how amusing
In another, you must walk in backwards. In another, you may not use the bathroom. It's a complicated business
do not read too deeply/
lol! i love it , soodles
I could do it as long as i only had to take a swallow in each pub
Seriously, children! Is the nastiness really necessary?
yes, what are the rules in regards to a drink in every pub?
sorry, soddles, i do let myself get dragged down sometimes. I shall behave
I made a simple statement ... the response was the drag down
like i say, moving on...
Well, obviously a drink in each pub. But if you break any of the rules, there are penalty shots.
mm, penalty shots...
better put a return tag round my neck so they know where to send me at the end of the night i think
I'm off to bed, to dream a out future Babble meet ups. G'night all.
I agree with the response, and no Soodle, it's not nastiness, just a difference of opinion.
When you come here ,soodles, we will take a trip up to Timmins, Ontario. It is a French-canadian town that boasts at last count, 54 bars or pubs
Not a difference of opinion ....
gn soodles
I'll book my liver transplant in advance of my trip Cross!
tired of it anyways
lol, soodles
*Inserts songbirds and flowers into the grid*
there we go, asdd some puppies and kitties

*Arranges to buy the world a Coke*

i still say ps 4 is NOT A WORD. PERIOD.
I have 3 words to go. Any clues for the te6/18 please?
The other 2 are in 7 and the final in6. Anyone?
in 7 is "plural" the 6 you have
the last in 6 is in + spiny thing on a fork
1st te6 is a number + 3 vowels .. 2nd is number + neckwear
te 6/18 is is either the latin plural (add a vowel) to the first te 5 or number + what you do to shoe laces.
hey tor
Thanks Stid for the plural - duh! - and I'm thinking about spiny things, not just tines!
Heya stid & Naches
OMG! Thanks for the te clue!
Spiny thing on a fork; spiny thing on a fork: soon I'm going to kill it!!
Waits for the light to go on ..
very little power left!!
