I don't like parking on the first level by Macy's but the third level is always busy. I live a walk away, and walking there is hazardous. That intersection and the shopping areas are not pedestrian friendly at all. At least the garage means less green space is devoured by asphalt. Too bad that shopping center never quite took off, esp after Tops and JoAnn left.

yup.. i go east to goldengate or south so solon .. for groceries i go to aldis in mayfield heights or marcs and there is a meat store at the greens

My son used to work at Zagara's so I go there. My elderly neighbor and I used to go to the Marcs @ Mayfield and Green. She was so cute. She never say she needed something; she'd just ask me "do you need anything from Marc's?" and I'd always say "Yes!" It was our little field trip. Sometimes we'd stop at Aldi's. She passed away last December and it was a long time before I went into that Marc's again. Sentimental.
So thankful we live in a very quite and peaceful part of the world and country, we can leave our doors unlocked and we have not had a disturbance in the neighbourhood for years. Saying that, our two good friends were in the aircraft that was shot down over Ukraine. Yesterday was our national day of mourning.

Our church community was (is) in shock. We had more than 900 people at our local memorial service. Very moving and marvellous how the family spoke up without hatred or call for revenge.

I found one of the saddest things was the three children from Perth returning home with their grandfather on that plane. Their parents stayed behind for a few days. They lost there whole family.

Being from Perth I know how shell-shocked everyone feels. Just months earlier a young Perth mum lost her husband on the plane that disappeared. We are a comparatively small community and we all feel devastated whether we knew them or not.
Tragedies like that do affect everyone when you live in a small place... not sure the effect every disappears.

Our community is still having a tough time over the death of the 10 year old, that was killed on his bike. The driver who hit him died last week from a burst aneurism... wondered if the stress of the accident caused it...
gosh I'm glad we have safe drivers out here in California compared to the rest of the country :D

He was a safe driver, ru... going speed limit, paying attention, but the young boy darted out across the street without looking... driver couldn't avoid him.. awful tragedy, but truly an accident.

I decided (along with some help from Di) to attack the jungle that is pretending to be my new garden yesterday, but have given it up for the weekend as we are due some severe weather. Di is fine, thanx 4 asking xx

I only ask because we have always bought Trill budgie food and they have just changed the packaging and, I strongly believe, the ingredients and my budgie who is 10 will not touch it at all, so I'm having to go out today and see if I can find some of the old stock. He's not ill because he's eating his millet, so it's definitely the food, methinks!
i only have a canary which we feed trill canary seed. he is definitely picky when it comes to some of the seeds in the mix.
Yea, to be fair our Joey's always been a little picky but will eat the majority of it. But as soon as I poured this in his food tray I could see it was different - a lot paler with lots of little black seeds in and he literally will not touch it at all - won't even go near it. Can't just give him millet, either, as firstly it's not good for them on a permanent basis and secondly it's too damned expensive - not that I wouldn't give him the world, but like I say it's too rich for a permanent diet. I did some online research about Trill and some budgie breeders say that different countries have different types of mix in their Trill and that the UK now has the International Mix filtering through to shops. It's hard enough finding budgie food in shops these days without all this hassle, poor little sod

yeah, i see what you mean. is it worth while emailing the makers? let them know that the different mix isn't going down well? sorry for the pun! and i have noticed those black seeds in the canary mix, and you should see him flipping them OUT of his seed dish.
Trouble is the packet doesn't have an email address just a phone number, and I go all to cock if I try to talk to people on the phone to complain - much prefer to email. I shall see if they have a website

He was super nervous getting ready. His pack weighs 40 lbs and he has to hike a mile with it.

I am a Sierra Club member so I see their trips. The Adirondack Mountain Club (I am a member) also does extensive trail maintenance.
He's also a member of the Appalachian Mt. Club, but he doesn't do service work for them
He must be in good shape. That is a long way to hike with that much weight on your back.
Some of their serice trips are in great places [SC]. They have one at Big Sur and you stay in the lighthouse
I need to go now. I have to pack up gear for a day f kayaking, and get both boat on top of my gear. I am taking my local sister kayaking on a lake today. She will have a blast.

It was a non event really. The consultant had recommended neurology tests with a view to putting me on sedatives to reduce the migraines. My GP said the sedative they would recommend would stop me in my tracks and had horrid side effects and he thought I shouldn't take it further. I had had the tests Mr Abassi recommended several years ago. I have had so many tests over 25 years that I felt like an elderly guinea pig. The migraines aren't as regular as they used to be as when I was a teen when I would have two a week. I prefer to use the meds that stop them in their tracks. The only side effect from that is a sore mouth the day after and I can live with that. I shall have to learn to live with my doughnut in the same way as I have learned to live with colour changes and flashing lights over the years. No-one from top consultants down seem to have a solution.
You can't get pigs to gain weight by weighing them over and over. In the same way, they don't seem to be able to find out the cause of my problems by putting me through endless test repeats.

I have had a lot of practice over the years and I am currently involved in getting my grandson away from Social Services. This is a repeat of 8 years ago when we ended up with my grand-daughter of 8 and my grandson of 6 months for twelve months. evening, all....I have a problem...my list says 0 but the grid has 1...it is an o...the only o I have but it will not give me credit for it but when I enter the right word, is says I already entered it
I don't limp any more which was my goal. I was all hunched over before but now I can stand tall and walk much better. The ankle is still stiff so my gait has changed a bit but not nearly as noticable. He wondered if it had a low grade infection but there was no evidence of that. I was just allergic to the metal.
