Nbt for me too
And thank you to Lickety for the clues!
Hey sue... hope Frank feels well soon
and i think i'm off to bed. g'night all.
co7
Night, jes!
fireworks
Good going, ru!
Holy casambas. wtg ruru.
holy moly ru that's great! Now what are you going to do?
tease and harass all you guys :D
hi neil
hi saanich
Hi and you bet me, btw.
beat, even. :P
bet you on what
hi ru old buddy
oh
I must be beat... can't type.
yeah.. maybe one out of a thousand
That's probably why you beat me! Haha.
I have 2 left.
it's an easy grid neil
aaaand done. :)
No kidding. :P
see?
congrats
But I may have mistyped something. Doing a lot of that this evening! Tired.
Hey ru?
Ever play boggle on Serpentine?
no
I have this and weboggle.. that kind of games me out
They have a few grids there... 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and 8x8! That last one is tough. At least for me for now because it's strange looking at that many letter tiles.
Well I don't play them both at the same time. :P Just alternate when I feel like boggling.
I think Mitch and Gremlin and Chuggaboom play serpentine.. maybe dart too
I had to sit in a dentist chair today.. on a Sunday... so I'm cutting out. see you all later
'night ru
night saan. I owe you an email. I'll write later or tomorrow.
OK ru, thanks
I'm sure gremlinn and dart probably do.
Ugh ru... take it easy!
i'm pretty sure dart mentioned it
gremlin is smart enough to excel at that game too I think
Well I'll let you know if I see him there.
Well yeah... he's probably smarter than any of us, I'm sure.
ok.. take care
Well maybe not you...
But definitely smarter than me, if he truly sees the "phantoms" he says he does. :P
*!* ta da *!*
Anyway... I'm out. Have a good night. :)
Congrats, cybernan! And good night all. ;)
congrats nan!
on my way out as well -- a demain :-)
see you tomorrow as well nan!
cooee and g'day from me
Good evening :)
g'day mel. how are you tody?
ugh...today
re 6/33 ?
gran... re+z4
just found it
morning all
{{hugs}} sprite. another bad night, hun? and how was yesterday for you?
hi sweetie, yes, horrible dreams. Yesterday was fine though :) And you?
*Hugs* for rose
i have had a lovely day. the company was great, the trip was great, the destination fascinating. with the aid of my walking stick, i walked for 1 hour. but there were seats everywhere, and toilets along the paths.
wow rose, just about perfect :) Am so glad. And were the animals delightful?
and the weather was out of a bandbox...perfect. sun shining and a light breeze blowing.
absolutely, especially the meerkat enclosure. they are sooo cute.
aw yeah, meerkats. Such funny animals. Am glad you had such a great day. You were due!
i think don enjoyed it too.
good :) And now? No spells of utter pain?
a few spasms in the back muscles. have been swallowing the magnesium tabs. they have settled for now.
ok, I hope they stay down :) *hugs* my dear friend. Well done and so glad it was fun.
i was surprised at how much the walking stick helped.
oh yeah. the best part of walking with a stick is that you relax more. In stead of this unstable base, you enlarge it to a stable 3-point area.
exactly. sprite, love. dinner is being served. i have to go. xoxox i hope you have a good day with nothing too hard to handle. {{hugs}}
that wasn't supposed to be a stopper
ok sweetie, enjoy your dinner! *hugs*
fireflies. Short and sweet. Bye all.
good morning everyone:)
saw in the chog that you ladies were talking about walking sticks. Check out a little company we have here that makes some of the best walking sticks around(the mrs and I each own one from this shop) http://www.canescanada.com/turned-hiki\nng-sticks
darn.. will have to tiny url that...
http://tinyurl.com/mks7cp8
Hi crossy
howdy sukee
I saw a woman with a cool walking stick last week.
a good walking stick is so handy and a thing of beauty
Yes, much better than my plain black cane
So, problem with cat is not kidneys or thyroid. They think it's gastrointestinal. Supposedly he has been losing blood, but it is unseen.
mm:((
Now I have to get an ultrasound done. $450. It's racking up. But, I want to know
She said if it is what she thinks, it is treated by steroids.
If you must use a cane, may as well have one you enjoy and take pride in owning:) Most of the ones I am showing you are less than 100 dollars
ahh ok, that is not too bad then
Yes, but hopefully there are no tumours, etc. Let's hope it's simple.
yes, without the ultrasound she cannot be difinitive
it racks up fast, once we got our ultrasound and x-rays back we found out that our kitty #1 had colon cancer
I am still sure it was something he ate because it happened so quickly. But, he has been losing weight over the year.
aww.
her back end got all scrawny like a cows back side and she was pooping blood
Sigh, it's always something.
never, ever ends
Well, thankfully he is not bleeding that badly. Like I said, you can't see any. His back end is that scrawny, but he has always been a bit like that.
well, hopefully it will be just a steroid treatment that is needed
I should get that test in the next couple of days and hopefully that is it. If surgery is involved, I will not put him through that at his ages.
how old?
He is 16
same age our kitty was
right now we have an 8 year old, a 6 and a 2 year old kitty
Well, 16 and a half actually :)
I don't think I will get another cat, but I said that last time and got him less than a year after my other cat was put down.
there are so many out there that need a forever home and the best solution for the pain of losing a beloved pet is to get another.
True, or I could foster.
But, I think I would get too attached if I did that.
fostering is great! You get the best of both worlds. The shelter/ humane society pays for any vet visits, you get a pet to love. The only problem is sometimes you form a bond and it can be tough letting go when they are finally adopted
Boo is the smartest cat I have ever owned. He is also more social than others.
snap
Anyway, Boo is still here for now :) Let's hope for another couple of years.
indeed
So, a new iPad is out of the question for this year :)
I seem to be stuck at 27 to go
oh well. things are highly overrated:)
Yes they are
get yourself a kindle fore or a nook HD. less that 150 dollars and do many of the same things the high end tablets do but on a 7 inch screen
Kindle Fire*
My iPad isn't too bad still, just some apps are not being updated for my version any more. I might cancel Next Issue until I get a more updated tablet.
I own a Nook HD and it is one of the handiest devices I have ever owned
I may consider one of those, maybe I can convince someone to give it to me for my birthday/Christmas :)
B&N is phasing out the the Nook HD reader/tablet and they already have thier newest creation on the market. You may be able to get the HD at a very reasonable price.
and by high definition I mean high definition! the ones we own have better and crisper detail than our computer monitors:)
gm, everyone!
i love my kindle fire hd. i use it more than my tablet, which seems to freeze up all the time.
I find my big tablet too heavy for reading sometimes:)
howdy lbd
but the HD is just right
Good day to all.
hiya, crossy!
In retrospect. if had had bought the HD before spending $700 on my high end tablet, I would have not bothered and saved all that money
howdy scrabby
hi, scrabs!
I slept poorly last night, as I usually do on Sunday nights. :-(
poor mind is churning over everything that must be done on Monday:(
I'm back, went to get ready :)
I find it hard to read with my tablet too. I prefer my Kindle. Which is getting old too.
Hi scrabs and lbd
The whole week---on call Wed, hospital mtg, then on call for the weekend, patient getting lymph node biopsy this week--please don't be lymphoma...
I have a Nook Color but don't use it much.
hello
Hi sukee and ruby
Hi Ruby
hi sukee! new kindle fire is out, not sure of the price, but i thought i saw $99 US.
hi ruby!
Yay, I have a stupid question for scrabbler" I have an old friend, Irene Szabo who had a company called Ms. Fixit, who may or may no live near you. Shot in the dark.
Helo sukee and ibbd
((ruby))
{{crossy}}
I know of Mrs Fixit--newspaper column--but not Irene Szabo.
aaah, just a try
lol, scrabby. I remember when I was diagnosed with my second cancer, the one in the nodes. The oncologist read it off on a list of tests with such elan, he made it sound like i had to take a course of multi-vitamins instead of a grueling half year of chemo. I actually had to get him to stop, back up, and slow down so i could absorb it all and discuss it a bit.
This boy (9 yrs old) has 5 nodes in his right groin for the last 2.5 wks.
oh my:(
a 9 year old:(
I had 2 bd ones out of the 32 that they took but so far, so good
Pray for benign on pathology report.
Prayers sent
Yes
hopefully they fast-track the biopsy
oh no! prayers being sent, scrabs
Big news, Kate is due in April. Now you can go on with your day :)
I hope all is good Scrabs.
Yay for pregnancy.
yay for Kate' It's nice to hear some good news
Yes, that is why I don't mind hearing about them or about the Clooney wedding, something positive.
Oh, and Nigeria is saying they have eradicated Ebola... and they didn't have to close their borders to do it.
gee, I can't imagine not being fascinated by celebrity weddings -- NOT!
and they had 1 case?
with advance warning, so they were prepared
kate who?
They had an outbreak, more than 1 :) They just trained their medical workers properly. And the nurse in Spain is cured, too bad they had to kill her dog.
Fr hell is in here
Anyway, time for me to go to the gym. Take care all.
gy! I'll be lucky to get bck upstairs to lie down on the couch!
Bye sukee
small victories, ruby, celebrate the small victories!
for sure!
have a good workout, sukee
I must get ready for work. Then this afternoon I am taking my mother to the doctor--walker, wheelchair, waiting....my mother will be so cranky.
half and I'm going to give the paper a good workout!
*woof*
tc scrabby and ruby
a yittle bittle behbeh grid
just a wee beastie
you need those wee little beasties to keep you humble
I think of grids like this as much like those yappy, over-bred ankle-biters the kennels used to churn out before the laws clamped down on them
ugh, give me a large breed anyday. I swear the larger they are the gentler they are
I am glad that dogs and cats are no longer sold in pet stores here. You either get referred to a local shelter or a govt approved registered breeder. it has effectively killed off all the mills.
Hiya NUTCASE!!
i have high hopes my graphite will hit one hundred pounds. and i wish they did that here. I checked shelters before buying a puppy.
DAWGY DAWG!!!
Each shop also hosts adoption days sponsored by the Humane society and it is good for everyone
who ya calling a nutcase??!
:P
no one had puppys at the time. okay there was one that was not for me and that was it. so i bought my silver. and i was very displeased with the breeder.
when my dog is an adult and if i don't have to work overtime as they've implied, i may start volunteering to walk the humane society dogs.
My son volunteered for 2 years at our local shelter.
i too wish they had that law here in the states. i'd rather go through a certified breeder or the humane society
it is working very well,lbd
saves the customer having to do all that leg-work as well
and you KNOW your are getting a good pet
dawg, my breeder WAS a certified breeder
and you know what happened, my puppy showed up COVERED in fleas
we aren't looking for another furbaby, but i do check the ads occassionally to see what's out there. the prices are shocking!
or registered or whatever the term is
omg! i'd turn them in!
graphite was $1000
guess all certification boards are not created equal
I've toyed with the idea dawg
Humane society is best. they come fixed, flea treated, and micro-chipped
no toying, nutty. call them in. they obviously need someone watching over them. those poor puppies!
they had two i considered. one lab puppy mix (black) who was not interested in me. and one 2-4 year old lab (black) mix who liked me but was too interested in what was going on all around and i have no fence.
i don't think the humane societies here chip the animals.
okay dawgy, i'll report her to the aks
akc
it is new here within last 5 years. that way they do not get many adopt-and -dumps because the owner can now be traced
but all in all, i have such a pup with perfect temperament!
i can't believe the owners would allow that to happen. darn fleas get in and on everything!
love the name graphite
i'm glad you have a sweet companion. that's what it all boils down to.
thanks crossy. i chose it because he's grey, I'm an artist and artists need...pencils!
I am a writer, so next cat will either be named "Itallics" or "Smirnoff" if it is a Russian blue
thanks goodness not comic sans!!!
Just for a laugh I did one whole essay in comic sans just to see what the teacher would say:)
ha! i aced typography, so i get a little irritated by poor typography
My favorite is Bookman Old Style #12
can there be a favorite? no. but i do tend to favor sans serif. cleaner.
I like bookman i suppose because it is what I am used to seeing in all my older hard-cover books
ah, I'm looking at fonts more from a design standpoint rather than a book layout.
With me it is as if everything is going to be a novel:)
Should ask Dr. G if he can mod this old game so we can select different fonts for ourselves:))
i just want a clean easy to read font. i hate italics.
i begged him for an ipad app, he said no can do, that its barely paying for itself
these old eyeballs don't focus so well with fancy schmancy letters.
I only use them for emphasis and when required by the rules of the road, lbd:)
my nook plays babble just fine, no app needed
it runs it, there could just be a better interface for tablets
agreed. it is difficult to chat and play the grid at the same time, but that is just a space issue
i rather thought that if there was an app he might be able to draw in more players, sell the app for a little $$$
different browsers also will display if differently
it*
true, but why clutter my ipad with a browser other than ios?
No real clutter> I often have three or four browsers at the ready for different applications as needed
certainly on my computer several browsers
But then again an android based os is not proprietary. Can do pretty much what i wish with it.
i was horrible at web design but i at least learned that different browsers are good to have
For example, the Opera browser has its own server compression feature and is handy for those who have a data cap but still like to stream videos
sadly, opera is terrible at everything else;)
morning all!
howdy, pippin:)
what's for breakfast?
never heard of opera browser, i have ie, chrome and firefox
Just toasted bagels with jam or cream cheese and a glass of OJ
try opera if you need a good compression fature
feature
I'm still just having the caffeine portion, haven't worked my way up to food yet
i missed the font discussion!
did y'all see someone came out with a typewriter that types in comic sans, so you can type all your passive aggressive notes?
hat is your favorite font, pippin?
what*
for internet stuff, i'm partial to verdana
interesting
for printed, i like tahoma, i find it very clear, high contrast, easy to read
do not know that one
for a serif font, i like garamond book
ahh, ok. it is a very bold type
(oh god, this means I'm a giant font nerd, doesn't it)
Join the club. We have jackets
Morning all!
hi sue!
Howdy suze!!
crossy, did you see pinikula yesterday?
no, what did I miss?
Hi pip and crossy!
she has the third grand on the way!
yaa for grandbabbies!
okay, going to go get dressed and maybe do something constructive. hagd everyone!
bye lbd
Hi and bye, lbd!
oof, not liking this grid
Really? I'm down to 16 and still finding the occadional word
off to class everyone tc all and happy babbling!
enjoy crossy
Bye crossy!
People still use typewriters?
maybe it's a slow start for me
morning
some, molly, especially those hipsters who like to be all old school
I don't usually list when I'm on the tablet althiugh I occasionally look at l7ckety for hints - haven't had to do that yet
Hi Sue!
my son missed the bus and could not believe he had to walk the .6 mile to school in 50 degree weather. I am a BEAST. This after 2 warnings.
Ah, do they have rotary phones and sets of Encyclopedia Britannica too?
Pretty funny, Sue! The walk will do him goon.
i did molly
Aaugh! GOOD!
figured it aint gonna hurt
Good for you Sue. He will learn a lesson from that.
and maybe loose a pound out of the 30 that needs to go
hi sue!
hi pip, how is it going?
good morning
hi annie
Kids are so coddled these days. It's a wonder they learn anything about consequences.
I don't have a functioning typewriter, so I hand-address envelopes
Hi Annie!
hi pipping
hanging in, sue, should be studying my medical terminology, but i figured a short grid couldn't derail me too much
Hi sue, hope Frank is feeling better
You can print envelopes from a computer, hence no need for a typewriter to address them.
I think we will finally go home this morning, Annie!
I started a great project yesterday. I have a fiber door in the back that has my dog door in it, but the room was darkened by the solid door. I cut a good size square out, had a used golf cart windows, cut a good size square out, framed it with trim and now have a window in my door.
Thanks goodness, hope Frank continues to improve
Yes, you can print labels too, but for the occasional get well crd I don't bother
it will actually help. Walking away and going back is good for the brain.
That sounds really nice, Sue!
I am leery of doors with windows in them. Someone can break the glass and unlock the door.
windows and sunlight are so key
great book for learning to study better is, The New Science of Learning, How to learn in harmony with your brain Terry Doyle and Todd Zakrajsek
The house we are renting has several skylights - they are wonderful!
True Molly, but coming from Brooklyn NY, you know anyone can get in if they want
I have dogs, useless as they are, they do bark.....sometimes
it's true. better in this world to just let the fear go, things are going to happen regardless of how you plan
Well, I don't live in fear. I do, however, try to deter crime as often as is reasonably possible.
I'm also lucky, I live in a quiet neighborhood, with enough homeless people to keep the petty crime down
pip, do you live in Park Slope?
One of the nice things about kiving in a small town - very low crime rate
I'm in Kensington, on Ocean Parkway and 18th, about a mile and change below the park
nobody can afford park slope these days, that's as expensive as manhattan
So Pip, you can afford a one bedroom apartment in New York, but not where you physician's assistant school is?
That is what is happening to Greenpoint..used to be a poor workingman's neighborhood.
no, i was talking to some friends in chicago and apparently there just aren't one bedrooms in chicago except in this one area (except for luxury one bedrooms)
and molly, i live an hour outside of the city, that's why i can afford it, and i can only barely afford it
Oh, that seems odd. Especially with the amount of people who are single these days.
it's just an architectural quirk of the city, it seems
pip, when is your interview?
I've read about what apartments in the city rent for and it literally makes me gasp.
november 7.
then this is of interest. They have a camera for IPhone's that are inferred, when applied it will be able to see the keys that were pressed on an ATM or any plastic or rubber keypad and show the numbers pushed and in what order...even house keypads. http://youtu.be/8Vc-69M-UWk
PIPPIN...where are in in Kensington?
it's appalling, and brooklyn is almost expensive, or at least anything less than an hour by train. now it's all queens and jersey for those who want a quick commute
sue, i'm 18th and ocean pkwy
I rode horses in PP, went to PS130, and just moved my father from our apt on the Circle
small world
and you are right, things have changed A LOT
my fathers apt was $1800 per mth for about 1500 sq, not $6000
Well, I am down to 12. Hope the doctor comes by soon and we can go home. Talk to you all later!
yeah, my friends got priced out of their place is PS, they went to Bushwick, which is now just crwling with 20something hipsters who all dress like it's 1989, it is soooo weird
good luck sue, love to you and frank
at one time, bushwick was a drug infested slum
Interesting video Sue, and good advice as to how to avoid theft that way
Pippin, I found you on the map. Is the park nice? Do people kayak on the lake?
yuck scrabbler
Disgusting, dirty lake?
pip i was saying that i rode my horse in prospect park
the park is lovely. i think they do paddleboats on one section of the lake, but mainly it's just lake
and worked at the stables for many years
there are ducks and geese and lovely but mean swans (swans are jerks)
lol
fene
and I run and bike around the park (or did before the migraines stopped me from exercising this summer)
sorry
Pip, draw your blinds. Scrabbler is peeking in. : D
you should be sorry, it's not a word!
Pip, I am a migraineur too. Are you taking magnesium and vit B. Read about Migrelief.
it's okay, i'm bundled up, it's chilly in here this morning
also I'm hopefully moving to chicago soon
Hah, Google Earth is giving me a view of Pip at home.
Well be sure to bring all your "warm gear" to Chicago. Brr.
can't take Mg because I already have GI issues, I take various triptans, and am now taking Topamax which is some serious stuff but if it gives me my life back i will take it
i had to completely stop drinking and exercising and I'm not okay with that (i mean the drinkig whatever, I'll live, but the exercising is NOT OKAY)
Gluten can trigger migraines for some migraineurs.
Is migraineurs a real word?
I have considered Topamax too. I average 4 migraines monthly.
Yes, a real word for migraine sufferers.
i got to the point where i was having at least 6, and since the NSAIDS put a hole in my stomach and I had to quit them (and thus gave me rebound headaches) I've had daily mild to moderate headaches for two months. it's been no fun at all
Oh, Pip, I can relate. I get brief, minor migraines too. Migraineurs lose days to the episodes.
just got up to full treatment dose of topamax today (takes 2 months to taper up) and only this week do i feel like the daily minor ones are starting to leave me. which means i can get back to my school work seriously, wich is great, but I am so, so behind!
How are the side effects of Topamax?
but blah blah, my boring headaches, enough about me, how is everyone else?
But we can commiserate, right?
oh man, side effects are crazy - all carbonated beverages taste kind of awful - like orange juice after brushing your teeth bad - so no soda or beer or hard cider etc
Much sedation, dopiness?
and i have tingly hands and feet, and it's possible that i may lose my hair, but i'm hoping i will avoid that, and i may experience some concentration issues and difficulty finding words
because that's what I want in a PA school interview!
Grrrrr
but still, that versus sanity, worth it
Good luck with PA school interviews.
thanks!
PA school as in state or something else?
as in physician assistant
also, i love Dasani sparkling lime water
Hi Nutty and puppy.
oh oh oh! PA is a good thing then, go for it!

Hello
Glad to hear it, Walter!
Hey ruru. Im the one looking out for my dad. I will also try and help my mom even more when she gets home. As you know I have been taking care of my pop for oner 12 years and assisting my mom. I want then to depend on me but not be dependant on me. I will also do whatever it takes. Im always here for them!!!

She was worried about the weather. They also are going to Kona as they had lived there as well.
We went over about this time of year 2 years ago and it was fabulous. Coming back to snow and 30 degrees here was not! LOL
30 deg...BURRRRR
And we had no winter jackets with us...BRRRR indeed!
Yikes!...no jackets! Turn up the car heater! ;-)
((Jilly))!! Did you hear my daughter got married on Wed.?
At least I had a pair of jeans on and tennis shoes!
That's good!
And hello to everyone...sorry..excited to see Jilly here since I keep missing her!
I did mimi!! Congrats!!
LOL...really nice Monday. Two great patients and easy procedures...
They bought a house on Mon. and got married on Wed. Now he's shopping for an engagement ring. None of the women in my family do anything in a conventional way!
My doc is on vacation...no work for me today!
LOL...anything goes these days!
Mimi, are you all settled in your new home?
At least she's not pregnant! Funny thing is, she's exactly the age I was when I married her father (28) and got married by a justice of the peace just like we did...scary.
Not getting the house until next year, Jilly....needed time to get things in order financially and with my health.
Hopefully she will break the mold and be happily married forever!
Ah, OK mimi...sure understand that!
okay, I've monkeyed that darn high point tile all over the place chasing the fe5/26. Help!
They've been together already for 3 years, living together for 2, and they seem to get along really well. He adores her.
NM -- found it!!
brb...
Not enjoying this grid at all....going to go make a casserole. Later...HAGD.
Darn..missed mimi
and back. hello to tose who have joined since i left.
Hi there TO...how are you today?
fine, ty.
and you? except i have been waiting an hour for a callback re ee test results.
Nice easy day at work. Two great patients, one a shirtail relative (his daughter in law is the sister of my husbands sister's husband...LOL) and one that moved here recently whom was from the town in RI that my son lives in and worked in the area he used to live in. Great time chatting about the local area there.
Sorry about the wait...offices seem not to understand how distressing that is.
love those coincidences.
not distressing as much as isrupting, you know? need to run errands while it is still light and not rush hour.
I know...love how small our world can be. Should explain, we live in Montana and he was from MA/RI
That's why I give my cell phone...then am free to do as I wish!
i do not think they would havepatience to wait while i found a private spot if i am in a store
I have no mercy...they wait!
Plus, they can leave a voice mail.
they say they cannot. hipa.
If you have left a voice mail reply that includes your name, it is perfectly legal
perhaps the news must be explained and cannot simply be left. which is bad.
<---fw! (teeny grid celebration)
well, I know all my doc's staff and they know I'm an RN...
yay! in small lettersfor tiny victory.
ti4/6 in grid today....LOL

Well, going to forage something for lunch...happy babbling...any clues needed before I leave?

hello dear friends
Hello Trifoso!
late babble start for me today
That
That's okay, it is a very small grid
Or should I say, small but challenging.
in my experience, these are the ones to watch out for - small but fierce, I find!
Yes, after the first 25 the rest come slowly.
re6/27, please?
Do not have it.
re + show with Rod Serling Twilight...

Another word for marijuana then
helped me, thanks Molly
THATS more like it!
Got that one in a flash!

You must be quite young!
Think Cheech and Chong
quite old and traveling in China right now
Think of something made of coral, then make it a one who does word
is there a 4 letter word attached to the re? If so can I get the stats on it?
re4/7
got it thanks
Whew!
there are NOT five words from the top left L. That is just a mean joke.
all regular babble words, trif... that's the kicker
I have found four, last one is elusive.
you said it fuzzy
lo4/4 is anything but regular
regular BABBLE word. we have it quite often
nbt = miracle
yay!
hi all, and i promise i will not make any 69 jokes today
Oh go ahead
well that didn't take long, book! lol

fance is my new phant
deco
sorry
oh, boy, free clues! 8-)
I guess it is the 2nd de6/24
de6 - an official order
when Caeaer sent out his orders
and i see i spelled fence wrong. fence, not fance
ah, that makes sense now... I thought maybe you were having a 3 martini lunch
got it thanks going to go back to sleep
only two martinis for me. per decade. hic!
stirred I hope
I am at a complete loss with 3 to go
it is so close I hate to list
i shake em, then stir em, then throw them out
it's throw them DOWN, book! don't go wasting perfectly good gin
ooooo.... 2
oh, dear, all these weird drinking rules, i'll never understand them 8-)
ferrez = a ferret wearing a fez
book - my nephews have found Dr Who. they both wear bow ties now, it is ridiculous
yeah, the bow tie guy was LAST year LOL
they asked me if I was a Whovian....
do not let them see the fez episode LOL
I will have to ask them about it now... not sure they know what a fez is though
fezzet = a fez for a ferret
July moved out today.
oh, they will, sooner or later
I'm missing 1 f - but those are not helpful
and, if someone asks if you are a Whovian, do answer yes, unless you don't want to talk about the show for the next 5 hours 8-)
unfortunately, I learned that one the hard way
yeah, i'm missing one F also, and my eye keeps going to fez-type words
finally cooled off, angel?
ah! found it
uno
add some additional e's to that fez, book
care to clue the weird F word?
OH DUH thanks and fish me!
13 to go

congrats kje
ty
that is a pretty dog, stidgmere
wtg kje !!!!!!!!
gotta run, bye for now
anyone have a good raw brussel sprout salad recipe?
bye book
ty kje. Not reading the chog in a timely manner.
I like brussel sprouts but do not have a good salad recipe. It would take crisp bacon and a cole slaw type of dressing very well.
Personally, I wouldn't go near a raw Brussels sprout. The recipes I have seen for using them raw are all variations on shaving them thinly and tossing them in vinaigrette.
midnight snack run
hello
More quail eggs Ruby?
zzzzzzzzzi make wondefu Brussels sprouts - firs, boil tem to death, cooked in half. Drain them and cook in butterolive oil combo with fresh garlic 'til they start to caramelize. Heaven
yup
that was a garbled mess, better turn on the light
I toss mine in herbs and olive oil and roast them.
cut in half, cook to deth, sute in olive oil/butter combo with fresh garlic.
Yours sound good
but I'm sure roasting is better for you.
I always overcook vegetable
I'm going to try adding some garlic to the herb/olive oil mix next time I fix them.
we get wonderful fresh purple and green garlic here part of the year. They're not very strong but tste wonderful
sleepy time
good night
And toasted pine nuts
I love it when something like toasted nuts just hangs in the chat indefinitely.
hello....can someone please give me STATS for the Y please?
y 5/14
um....y and what second letter?
ye, sorry
wasn't sure if you wanted that much info!
np....ty!
yw
i appreciate that!....i did find it...ty...
Glad to help.
Just for future reference, a request for STATS is always a request for the first two letters and the letter count/point value
i am done.... :o)
Grats Pen :)
're 6/36 clue please
ty....i don't seem to have an re 6/36...
refeed
SORRY, didn't realize I put a word in wrong box. *cringe*
np....been there, done that....
My last word, after flipping back and forth. Got a little excited.
congrats then!
clue for FE 5 please - does it use the very high point tile
Yep. Those high points are always a clue. Sounds like what you do to water to make ice.
yes...
thanks Molly - i was looking up not down
Thanks, pen. You too. :)
ty!
RE 5? does that use the high point tile too?
A high point, but not THE high point
Actually, two high point
it's driving me bonkers - i will need a clue
fecube
damnit
Like the coral stuff

damnit
Trying to figure out what I am missing
I DE 6/24 that I have completed the gird.
What you are missing?
're 6/36
Oh, it's time to ta4 in gr4 words
*puts ad on milk cartons for Meliae
Lol bite me Ruru
:D
Well, it will be missing for a long time since there is no re6/36
*puts re 6/36 on Half gallons too
*Sends out Amber Alert
um...that's what i said earlier...
Pen, I'm really starting to think that people don't read the chat
that's because they are too busy complaining about it to actually read it ;)
i think people sometimes just glance to see if their word has been clued, like re = blah blah....
Well, I don't see the point in asking for clues if the person who asked is not going to read the chat to see if their question is answered.
what about people who ask for clues but "already have the word"
I have that one.. I need the "other" four
grrrrrrrrr
Yep, there's that. And "oh, I didn't see that"...really?
ah well that's a different story....i have asked and then immediately found it myself....pulling a you-know-who move... ;o)
I think it's only polite to pretend you needed it anyway and thank people
:D
Yeah Pen, but that is different than saying "I already have that one"
sometimes people don't check to see if there is more than one word with the same stats...
Sometimes people don't check a lot of things
sometimes people don't even try to find the word
I can't figure this out then what I am missing
re 6/33 ? You might need?
Probably re6/33 re + Rod Serlings show...Twilight...
re + the latter half of the twilight
SNAP.. you owe me a coke molly
Don't mind us, we are brain sharing tonight
A coke? Cheap date.
well.. if I'm going to make you chicken soup :D
Yep that was the one and I added points wrong so that didn't help, thank you
You can always check point value on Lickety's list
Campbell's Ru, straight out of the can, with Saltine crackers.
I do not have clickers
ewwww
Bleh licketys
Auto correct scores again
salt city
The reference to Campbell's and Dunkin goes straight over someone's head
*signs molly up to do a commercial for Campbells with Richard Sherman*
Maybe if I had mentioned homemade chicken noodle soup and carrot muffins it would have worked better
HA
I have the en 7 stats for the other 7 please and thank you
EN 7
co 7/36...
co7
Has to be either a c or an R
Really, I don't eat canned soup, on account of the sodium content. And the fact that it tastes like crap.
Thank you
now who's not reading chat, lol...
it really does. I make my soups from scratch
the sodium in campbells is like 900 mgs or something like that
the pain in the ass is making the stock first
gotta move some wine.. good luck meliae
Thank you Ruru see you tonight
3 to go :)
I used to work with a woman who added salt to canned soup. That is like the people who add salt to the popcorn at movie theaters. Why not just open up the salt shaker and eat the stuff.
go meliae!
How many cr words?
one
Found it was a fish now 1 r to go
Lol last word was a fishy home :)
Firewords:)
congrats!
Thank you those re words were annoying for some reason I was just not seeing them :)
yw...
A fishy home?
what is the name of the site where you can look for words, please? Had to rebuild my computer & the shortcut is gone & I can't remember the name!
a2zwords?
No, I think it started with a 'W' but thanks
the lickety's link is under the stats
morewords.com gets mentioned here a lot
AH-morewords! That's it! Thank you so very much. I need to cheat & it is so helpful.
That's my problem .. I've been using lesswords.com ..
Knock, knock is anyone there? I have a story for those who care. But this grid is so very small. You probably don't ne 4/45 a story at all! But just in case you do. I did post a story with clues!
*Oops! I meant ne 4/5 NOT ne 4/45!
I've been using more or less words
*squirts water guns at all the lurkers*
i am here min. enjoying your stories always.
hello everyone :-)
*throws a water balloon at Ruru*
Hiyas Nan
*ducks and balloon hits nan*
